Can Obama Stay Above the Fray?

McCain is a dishonest hypocrite. He flip-flopped on offshore drilling a month ago and immediately accepted over a million dollars in campaign funds from big oil. What kind of hypocrite talks about taking the high road and then bases his entire campaign on deceitful attack ads? Please don't let this be the next liar ruining the country?

We are the company we keep. Obama had to "distance himself" from many OLD friends lately. Rev. Wright, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Ludicrus. Glad he is making so many new friends. He needs them. Everytime I hear or see him preach..oh I mean talk ,I smell SOCIALISM!

Obama looks like a black guy...being groomed by a whole herd of white guys...he's just the store front...You'd think that all the talk about blacks bowing to the will of whites was over...but Obama is a perfect example of the fact that those days have not been left behind!!! It's also why Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Rev.Wright have turned on him like a snake...he used their coat tails to ride into town...now he''s in the loop, he can be as white as he pleases and he PLEASES very much...He's a show dog, IF he were to get into office, his handlers will continue to PULL THE STRINGS....

I think Obama is simply above the negative campaigning when he doesn't make strong rebuttals to McCains ads. A trait that makes him look even more presidential.

The article made a point of the potential difference in the National conventions, I think that could prove to be interesting, McCain recently held one of his town hall meetings in my area; he drew 200 who were willing to listen and an equal number of protesters on the streets, only a week after Obama drew 200,000 in Germany.

But the negative ads are just beginning.
Lets face it McCain could not run on his message of continuing the same economic policies as he has stated he would do.
He cannot run on his intent to put ultra conservative judges on the supreme courts as he has stated he would do.
He might get some support for his "Bomb first ask questions later" foreign policy but it would come from those who support that kind of thinking already,
The fact is McCains only option is negative ads to try to demonize Obama and they have shown they are very effective. It gave the Republicans control of both the White house and the house for 6 of the last seven years.
Still today some 30% of Americans believe Iraq had something to do with 9/11, and at least that number believe the Bush tax cuts actually gave them a tax cut, it didn't of course at least not of any significance unless they are in the top 2% income bracket.
But both are products of the Republican propaganda machine that now run McCain,s campaign.

It was done in the spirit of Obama's voters proclaiming him their messiah!!!! Republicans are not stupid enough to think he meant it literally!!!! It was funny to most of us Christians because believe me, Obama is no traditional Christian, if he is one at all..

Hold on now....Do you really think McCain is pressing for off-shore oil drilling if he isn't in the pocket of the Oil Companies? There are 98,000,000 square miles of leases that the Oil companies own that aren't being explored. Where do you think $200+ billion dollars a year of Oil company profits are going? If you aren't going to continue Oil company subsidies and accept their profits as "normal" they will throw everything they have at you. Why would a 72 year old man want to be president being paid maybe $400,000 per year in salaries and perks? He knows he will be a very wealthy man when he leaves that position. McCain is so weak he is letting puppetmasters direct his campaign....the same people that have pulled the strings that Bush has danced to for 8 years. The People in this wonderful Country of ours are suffering and frustrated by this Administration for ignoring the pleas of our population to change course and fix what Bush has broken. McCain is made from the same cloth. He and his party will spend millions of dollars of tax payer money to win a job that pays $400 thousand. Does that make any sense? Obama will win using money donated by those who support him. McCain will try to win with lobbyist money and the support of those like the Oil companies who must win at all costs. Of course they will say anything, invent any falsehood, talk and write lies that they hope will destroy the truth.....Obama stands for truth and truth will win.

I think Obama has to go back to his early rhetoric in which he reminded us that as he gets stronger the voices of dissonance will get louder. However if he is able to maintain his cool, not stoop to McCain's level and win the election that would be the biggest change in American politics ever.

First Brittaney & Paris and now Moses!!! What's next!?

These are probably two of the most ridiculous, juvenile, and utterly preposterous ads in campaign history!

Of course McCain needs to use attack ads, He doesn't have surrogates like Newsweek to do the dirty work for him. Newsweek has been at War with Republicans for as long as I can remember.
