SENILITY????
The simple ad the needs to be run..clips of McCain talking about the iraq-pacatain border, sunni/shitzi, and other similiar stupid statements and the the one word,,,,,senility!!!!!
I don't think Obama can stay above the fray. He did mention a few months ago that he would be able to deal with what McCain dished out. But that was before McCain decided he would rather send America down the toilet than lose an election. Republicans have the obscene rich behind them, and these old boys know how to get what they want. Question is, do they have enough brainwashed morons, (many of whom I notice on this blog), to pull off what Bush did. I thought a large percentage of them got slapped out of their coma after watching the Bush fool make a mess, but never underestimate the stupidity of morons. I wouldn't be surprised if they, the power elite, told McCain they would be running things for him and he would hang out on the sidelines and take orders from them. This would explain his rapid transformation from a nice guy into a scumbag.. Democracy is only America's fifth or sixth favorite hobby.
You're no fun, Nixon's the One;

Johhny at Work - Can you please have an original thought? Rush gets paid quite a bit of money to lie, but what is your motivation? If you would just read something, instead of listening to right wing talking points, you would know that McCain does not support the troops or veterans. You would pay attention to McCain's $500 loafers as he pretends to be a "straight talking" humble town hall meeting kind of guy. You would know that those "town halls" are staged, just as your precious George Bush's events were all staged. You would know that McCain doesn't pay property taxes in California and he's married to an heiress who is funding his campaign instead of the American people. Turn off Rush and read!
Johnny at Work - try having an original idea. Rush gets paid quite a lot of money, but what is your motivation? If you read a single fact you would know that McCain does not support veterans, and you would know that your precious George Bush is the one who made it impossible for Obama to visit the troops abroad. McCain doesn't even pay his property taxes in California, and he's married to an heiress who is funding his campaign instead of the American people. Get a grip, why don't you?! Even if the Republicans convince you and other gullible individuals to continue to vote against your own best interests, that still won't make you right. Eventually, the Truth will take hold.
He looks smarter and more mature. It's like how your parents and counselors tell you how to deal with bullies at school who are mean and malicious...the more you engage in a confrontation, the higher it will escalate, and in the end...you both look bad.
Eleanor, get out of the tank for your precious baby Ibama.
Ibama deserves all the thrashing he is getting. Ibama cancelled his visit to the troops, and worked out in the Ritz Carlton Gym instead. Those are FACTS. Ibama had the troop visit on his schedule befor he left on his "World Tour". Ibama could have visted the troops without his campaign entourage, but IBAMA CHOSE NOT TO.
And, in an effort to pad his resume, Al Gore did say to Wolf Blitzer that he he "created" the internet. So technically you are right, Gore did not say "invented".
Ahhh... where would political discourse be without reliance on semantics to prove a point.....
Al Gore padding his resume. And now Ibama taking that tactic where no man has dared to go.
It's really sick that McCain criticizes Obama for not visiting the troops. Obama has done more for veterans
during the last few years than McCain has--by a wide margin. McCain has voted against Veterans benefits many times recently, and he voted against Jim Webb's GI bill for Iraq vets.
Obama has a MUCH higher approval rating from the Disabled American Veterans. McCain isn't even close to Obama's score.
McCain is a hypocrite. Obama as President would be a FAR better advocate for Veterans than McCain would be.
If you care about Veterans, vote for Obama in '08!
Thinking don't get much deeper than this, folks:

Comment: Its kinda scary to say that we may be getting the same for president as those who attacked us on 911.....this country is doomed."
Like, I'm curious: If you create tripe, shouldn't you be made to eat it?
Like, I'm curio
Debunked? Please, he decided that he did not want to go by himself, wasn't worth his time if he couldn't bring his campaign aide. He screwed up, you know in your heart that if McCain had scheduled to meet injured soldiers he would not let them down. Obama doesn't even see how his actions were hurtful to the troops. His belated attempt to make up for it with a phone call was way lame.
Krusty McClown thinks he's funny, but his schtick is already getting OLD.
Its kinda scary to say that we may be getting the same for president as those who attacked us on 911.....this country is doomed.
NOBAMA
Zen like? Can you say IN THE TANK?
The McCain campaign is clearly engaging in swift boat style campaigning; attack a strength of your competitor and when he defends himself attack the defense. The press becomes an accomplice in this style of negative campaigning by either repeating the attacks as in the case of FOX News or by keeping the discusion on whether the attacks will work. In either case, the republican attack machine controls the debate. The only way this Rove style of negative campaigning will end is when the press stops becoming its unwitting accomplace. Let Obama remain above the fray and the press should attack the attackers so that campaigns can once again become something more than character assassinations. When the McCain/Rove/Republican machine goes on the attack the press needs to villify such tactics. The press needs to research and write stories about who McCain is and why he has allowed his campaign to take the low road. When the press begins to write stories about how and why a candidate takes to the low rroad, instead of stories about whether the attack message will stick, we will begin to see the Rove attack model relegated to history, instead of continuing to repeat the low ball politics of the past.

i agree 100% this makes me wonder about the press i mean they must like car rove even though they imply differently, just a thought.
Wow, Hillary has an attack machine, Bush has an attack machine, McCain has an attack machine, and Obama doesn't have an attack machine ! Obama is the One, the God, the Angel, and the Zen.
Zen like? can you say IN THE TANK?
So why isn't Obama running an ad, 24/7 in every battleground state, that goes something like this: Heroic picture of John McCain that gradually morphs into a smirking George Bush. No voiceover. Over ominous music, during the fade from McCain to Bush, graphics saying "He helped send us into Iraq." "He opposed Bush's tax cuts for the wealthy - before he flip flopped to support them." "Bush's advisers are running his campaign." "What's next?" "Ready for another four years?"
Having sworn off Newsweek months ago, I had missed your last several columns. Based on this title, I decided to take another peek. But unable to go on after reading just a few lines, I recalled that what made your vacuous edicts tolerable on McLaughlin were the piercing offsets from your colleagues. Here, not so much.
When eleanor goes to bed at night, does she spend some time fake-making out with her pillow, whispering, "Oh, Barack....Oh, Barack...."?
Do you mean "stay above the fray" that he and his campaign are just as busy serving up as McCain?
Obama and new politics is the biggest joke of all! Rather than talk about vision, he says the GOP will use fear to keep him from being elected.
If Obama is as good as he says, and you believe, then why is he avoiding face to face debate with McCain?
You know the media is just as responsible for the focus it brings to the campaign by the spin they put on stories.
With a 2.6% lead the voters are signaling they know what Obama isn't. In spite of a media that has been running interference for him. This time though there will be no "supers" to drag Obama across the finish line.
And that will make all the difference.
