Will it never it never stop....On Sunday, the NTC/Washington DC news outlets go after a 17 year old pregnant teenager likes she was the anti-christ and she must be vanquished before the full moon, then yesterday a reporter (Fatimah Ali) from the Philadelphia Daily News warns me that if Senator Obama doesn't win and race war will engulf America. And now almost like clockwork, some news publication rolls out the link to the Confederacy of no less 143 years ago, as if slaves were still bought and sold like shares of General Electric. What is wrong with Newsweek? Do you really think that it is fair to interview civil war re-inactors, and paint them as if they long for the 1860s. Just as women are the biggest impediment to a woman reaching the office of president or vice president, the mainstreet media outlets will never allow this country to truely come together. What you really go out of your way to ignore is that in the south we have moved along, you haven't. In my neighborhood (suburban Atlanta), we are quite a cross section of colors and beliefs, much higher than the national average. We help each other, we entertain each other, we are on a constant watch for each others safety. Most importantantly we respect each other, for who we are, not what we are. When I see articles that do nothing more than dredge up the past for the purpose to divide, I see jounalists that really don't care about this country and its real treasures....the citizens of America. Is the sale of advertisement really worth continually attacking the people of this country, group by group?

The subtle (very apparent) effort for Obama to grey up his hair a little in order to look more worldly, more experienced, and trustworthy is FUTILE...He still looks like curious George and he'd just as well stick with the black shoe polish in the hair....He'll never look trustworthy or smarter....all he has to do, is open his mouth and DISASTER FOLLOWS.....Just say NO to O

I am bothered, in the first place, by the promises being made by both men. I am bewildered that both men are making legislative promises.

???When I am president,??? each man says, ???I will ...??? Now correct me if I am wrong, that I might have missed something while I was busy getting old, but when I studied government in school, I think I remember that there were three branches of government: executive, legislative and judicial. For the purpose of this essay only, the judicial branch of government will be overlooked.

In an over-simplification of job descriptions, the president and cabinet are the executive part of the branch trio. The president should keep himself busy conferring with the cabinet and agencies, being commander in chief, setting policy, giving state dinners, making nice with other countries, declaring states of emergency, signing or vetoing legislation, etc. The legislative part of the trio (the representatives and senators) has as its job initiating legislation as needed for the good of the country and their constituents, serving on investigative committees, etc.

Now we get to my contention. Both Senator McCain and Senator Obama are expounding on what they will do as president while continuing to speak like legislators. What they are promising to do in the future as the executive is what they should be proposing now in their current positions as legislators.

Come on now, fellas, if you believe so strongly in what changes need to be made for the good of the country???s problems with the economy, the oil crisis, education and health care, why have you not been back in Washington rallying support in the Senate and writing bills which would begin the miraculous cures now that you are promising for the future? Both you senators remind me of poker players with your cards clutched to your chests. Both of you are bluffing that you have a straight flush, ace high, while holding nothing more than a pair of jacks.
Unfortunately, the other people sitting at the table are about to be taken. Their names are Americans and Voters. Come on now, fellas, if you plan to play this game, show us your cards. Lay them on the table. Show us how you plan to win the game. Show us a workable plan for the cures you are promising. If these plans are so good, why haven???t you been busy in the Senate doing what you are paid to do for the country? Why are you holding back? Is it all a bluff?

Up to this point in the election process, the only thing that has been shown to the voters is age and charisma, experience and inexperience, war hero and academic scholar, pedigree and boot strap climber. Show us some substance. As the commander in chief, how, I repeat, how will you act as leader to make your promises reality? I need to know before I vote; otherwise I will continue to be bothered and bewildered, but certainly not bewitched.

    Hello BEFAIR.

'He has shown time and time again that he will always put the needs of the people before his own."

Throwing Wright and his typical white woman grandmother under the bus? Jesse Jackson? The man Obama was happy to use against Mr Clinton to get the black vote and win SC and then happy to dismiss to keep the white vote? You know that "famous speech" about Iraq? barry wasn't even the featured speaker - Jesse was - and barry never even made it into the papers the next day. Without Jesse - there would be no barry. And without a white mother - there would be no barry--something he conveniently forgets--maybe because of his "animosity against his mother's race."

i truly, really and truly, feel bad for you. Please try to punch a hole in his halo in your own mind so that you are not completely devastated later. And the use of messiah? Tucker? Something original? Wright called him "Black Jesus" and then there's barry's and the MSM'S belief he is. Look up: Messianic Complex. Barry's picture will soon be (should already be) next to it. Arrogance and egomania (as well as polygamy and alcoholism) were the downfall of barry, Sr. Maybe that's one of the dreams Sr had for Jr.

You're using your own integrity to support barry--go to the Chicago Tribune (2006-07), UK, East African (Kenyan) or Israeli papers to see who the really barry is. You won't find the truth anywhere in the MSM--least of all NEWSWEEK.

i didn't vote for McCain or Clinton. I've researched barry and know how Chicago politics work and no one comes out with their hands clean. You can't enter until you dirty them. Have you seen the IL Gov, Blagojevich, out campaigning for barry? No, because he's under investigation for extortion, like convicted felon, Rezko, barry's friend and former campaign finance advisor.

Barry "won" his first election by suing his opponents, most notably, Alice Palmer, who had been around for years paying her dues in the community. He shoved her aside. Barry got the credit for legislation Ricky Herdon took the heat for. Why these folks are staying quiet says a lot more about identity politics than anything else in this election. Especially Shelby Steele (who wrote that Ferraro was right) - though his self-interest is perfectly clear.

And for all her purported poor upbringing, Michelle Obama's father held a city job and was a precinct captain and Mayor Daley gave her a job. Barry and Michelle both know what they're doing...and not a bit of it is clean-handed, charitable, or noble.

I'm sorry. You're the reason why the MSM should be taken to task. Unfortunately, no one cares. And, unfortunately, you are the reason barry might just win.

If Obama hadn't "thrown Wright under the bus" you right wingers would have complained about his continued association with him. Obama tried to keep Wright around, but Wright decided to go off the deep end. Obama did not throw his "white" grandmother under the bus. What he said about her generation is probably true, that they natually feared black people.

Wouldn't you dismiss someone who said he wanted to cut your nuts off? And Obama never dismissed Jackson, I think they kissed and made up.

Rev. Wright said many disgusting things, but he NEVER callled Obama the "Black Jesus."

Obama did not "sue" to have his opponents thrown off the ballot in his first election. He challanged their petitions and the election committee determined that all three of them were fraudulent because they had signatures of people who did not live in their district.

Michell Obama's father worked as a city water plant employee, not exactly a high powered city position that you insinuate. Yes he was a precinct captain. Mayor Daley didn't "give" Michelle a job, she was qualified for it.

This is same CRAP that you right-wingers tried against the Clintons and it failed miserably then and it will fail miserably this time.

        Greetings Raddav!

Disclaimer (something NEWSWEEK still refuses to do): I am not a registered voter. I seek truth. I must say it is rather refreshing to speak with a barrybot who has some grasp of truth.

Tough day trying to keep track of all flip-flops? Drilling for oil? FISA? Abortion? Gun? Iraq? Campaign finance? Have the 27 murders of CPS students, and that bloody weekend in April when 40 folks were either shot/stabbed and 10 died, changed barry's mind on the death penalty for gangs?

"Obama tried to keep Wright around"

Yes he did--until he had the black vote sealed up--no more street cred needed. He wouldn't allow him to speak 2-07 and yet appointed him to an official campaign position 12-07, knowing full well his brand of eloquence. Then there was the holiest of holy Christmas benediction: "Hillary aint ever been called no ****er." Do they celebrate Kwanza at TCUCOC? Why didn't anyone ask YEE-hah DEAN why he didn't speak up as a member of the church at large?

March 14 was a very stressful day for barry, wasn't it? After NAFTA, MONSTER, OH/TX and the three times it took for wright to 'step down'? Why couldn't barry KO after 11-in-a-row? Must have run out of caucus states--4/14 are blue, right? And was barry confused or did he make another "bone-headed mistake" when he said one thing in his Huffington Post and several hours later lied on COUNTDOWN, while ALTER looked on?

Remember Philly: "I WILL NEVER LIE TO YOU!"

        haha

barry must have been exhausted after finally fessing up about REZKO and how much he "underestimated" REZKO-related campaign donations. What was it total? 250K? (Kinda reminds me of the 181 bundlers that poof! appeared.) Why wasn't REZKO an official campaign finance advisor for barry like he was in 04? And why exactly did it take till the trial to donate ARAMANDA'S 10K donation? You know the one that allegedly was kickbacked from REZKO? I wonder how ARAMANDA'S son enjoyed his internship with barry? Funny how that worked out, eh?

BARRY on REZKO: "You can back up and say the red light should have gone off."

Good judgment? Hmm. He bought his house when it was well known that REZKO was under investigation for all that messy tollway business with the false minority front involving Jabir Muhammed,, son of NOI founder. What a tangled web barry weaves. Good thing that the citizens against media bias has such good researchers, eh? Wanna cross over to the side of truth?

CHICAGO TRIBUNE: Obama tries to live by "high ethical standards." Although "that doesn't excuse the mistake I made here." "Rezko always had been above board with him, Obama explained, so "my instinct was to believe him" when Rezko said the talk of illicit dealings on his part was untrue."

        JUDGMENT?

So voters are to triumph barry's superior judgment from 2002 on something he had no intimate knowledge of and actions never backed up - and then ignore his bad &qu

        • Posted By: imposter @ 08/05/2008 8:35:32 AM

          (continued)

...and then ignore his bad "instincts" of somebody he knew 20 years? Who but barrybots believe this?

Judgment in 08 trumps speaking out in 02.

"What he said about her generation is probably true, that they natually (sic) feared black people."

You do realize what a racist statement that is, don't you? Or is it only one way for barrybots?

PROBABLY TRUE? In his book of mythology (have you read it?) he recounts it as fact. Although in his reprint forward he admits that he used composite characters, etc, which brings into question the factual nature of any of it.

Why is it Mrs. Dunham won't speak with the media?

"I think they kissed and made up."

THINK? No they didn't. Jesse, Jr came out immediately because he's interested in a position...maybe barry's senate seat...if Come, O Come, Emanuel doesn't snatch it. Jr "ade the ever delightful comment that Sen Clinton's tears needed to be investigated. Lovely, wasn't it?

Wright indeedy called barry Black Jesus - said it was in the Bible. When I need a laugh I watch wright's purple face: NO NO NO GODDAM AMERICA! Where's the crazy old uncle windbag hiding? Are the NBPP/NOI holding him hostage? SHABAZZ have a muzzle on him? Has a lot of conviction and integrity in his rantings if he gets silenced so easily. I wonder what mysteries his book holds? And when is the release? October?

"not exactly a high powered city position that you insinuate"

INSINUATE? FACT: 'father held a city job and was a precinct captain' Are you stationed in Chicago? Because you'd know nobody 'qualifies' for a city job. Especially all of REZKO'S buddies like ALI ATA. They're given or appointed as they say. Ask Michelle's pal, Valerie JARRETT.

While you're at it, why not poll Dorothy TILLMAN, who barry endorsed for reelection in 2007? Must say that's why I was so surprised when barry got on those bitter bowling alley babes for packin' heat.

          TODD SPIVAK
"Many speculate Obama only bothered to weigh in on a paltry city council election during his presidential campaign as a gesture to Chicago's powerful Mayor Richard M. Daley, a Tillman supporter. Even so, Obama should have remained neutral, says Timuel Black, a historian and City Colleges of Chicago professor emeritus who lived in Obama's state Senate district.

"That was not a wise decision," Black says. "It was POOR JUDGMENT (CAPS mine) on his part. He was operating like a politician trying to win the next step up." (Surprise, surprise)

Funny thing is barry endorsed TILLMAN in 4/07, when he was touting his EXCELLENT JUDGMENT!!! even after she was exposed in LAKEFRONT OUTLOOK 12-13-06 for shady financial dealings. Did barry change his stance on Ethics Reform? Too? Words and actions are very different things for barry, aren't they? Since you're his minion, did she make her one call to barry when she was arrested 3-2-08? One wonders if that was another reason barry walked away from the podium afte

Why are you not voting? That tells me and speaks volumes of the character of the person putting out all of this bs. The rest of the hot air you spew, and everyone else spews is only hot air. Your arguments are hallow, and the backup and proof of your arguments leave something to be desired especially the way you dis on MSM and all other news sources. I think a class in critical thinking may be a wonderful idea for you.

Do you really think that people disect every article in MSM, or any other form of media between the television or the internet? Does every word to you hold true regardless of the source? What politician tells the truth, right or left? Do you think Fox has bias? How about NPR do you think they are bias? What MSM source does not have bias? And why do you think the Chicago Tribune is above the fray?

This is politics, and the games that are played every four years. No matter how much bs I spew, you spew or anyone else spews, there is going to be a degree of prejudice, ignorance, foolish arguments, and silliness. You are way too close to the trees to see the beauty of the forest. Lighten up, and enjoy the ride.

Wait until after the debates, and then I will discuss with you your arguments and why they may be correct or otherwise faulty. Getting into a p!$$!ing contest with you or anyone else will not mean a thing unless you have that much bias towards one candidate or the other and then you and I will be labeled dogmatic.

If you really were not voting, then you would have my attitude until Novenber comes around when I will be voting. Until then, Ciao

Whew! A tad testy? You did not follow ONE of those links. The rest of it is ranting. Someone who is not registered to vote in August? Isn't the election in November? Or did Obama get it moved up before he makes his victory tour of the cosmos? Take a deep breath and think. A person who is not registered to vote obviously did not vote for Clinton, Obama or McCain. They have no stake and aren't "bias towards one candidate to the other. Get it? I have to wonder why you folks get all crazy and attack the poster when facts are presented and backed up with links. Are you that afraid of the truth?

Talk to Raddave - looks like they know some facts. And just how much is your vote worth if you refuse to look for the truth?

              • Posted By: You are a FOOL @ 08/05/2008 11:47:37 AM

You are missing the bigger picture. When a person says they are not voting, then sites at the same time the argument that MSM is this and that and cannot be trusted, something is amiss. You may not want to see the whole picture; I see it as clear as can be. You can't have it both ways. On one hand MSM is the evil doer and then the next minute the Chicago Tribune, which is part of MSM then their writing is not going to be the least prejudiced? Which is it going to be?

You delve way too deep to catch the context of what I was writing. My family is from Chicago. Thats okay, Ciao

                • Posted By: jjkk @ 08/05/2008 12:35:20 PM

Please please take a deep breath.

Your words: "When a person says they are not voting,"

Imposter's words: I am not a registered voter.

Again, you misread. Where did they say they were not going to vote? And how can you have the audacity to continue to say this and that can't be true when you haven't checked out a single thing or read the entire post? Absolute absolute madness. Do you think you are furthering Obama's cause? What is it you are afraid of? The truth?

And the "big picture" is very clear: Hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil.

                  • Posted By: muslimsforpresidents @ 08/06/2008 12:40:51 AM

I think, speaking for the six of us who use this name to blog that it is pretty accurate with Fool's posting If you used a bit of critical thinking in the other bloggers posting, and then think for two moments what Fool commented in the bigger context of the argument, you would have understood the posting. Until a person is registered to vote, they are not a registered voter and they cannot vote. What proof do you have that Imposter is ever going to vote or register?

Regardless of what any MSM articles may or may not say, what is factual, or fictional, right or wrong, left or right, you cannot have things both ways and expect bloggers to pretend that it is okay to say one thing and contradict what is said one sentence later and then go back and forth It is your perogative as a blogger and right, to buy into whatever you want to with any source that is sited regardless if it is MSM, books, Google, Wikipidia, and do with it whatever you feel comfortable.

The bottom line of all of this bs is as long as you feel you are making an educated decision about who to vote for, the rest is meaningless to other bloggers. When the words used Hear no evil...you might as live with your head in the sand at that point. What a shame because when you say that you are feeling apathy towards what can be the most important issues that this country has faced in over 30 years.

                    • Posted By: what? @ 08/06/2008 5:28:18 PM

                      Please read the above over.

Imposter says: "I am not a registered voter." Period. He never says he is planning or not planning to vote. He says it as a disclaimer that he has not voted for either and is looking for truth about Obama. Period

The Fool says: "When a person (referring to Imposter) says they are not voting..." interpreting it as Imposter said he was not going to vote.

jjkk questions Fool: "Where did Imposter say they were not going to vote?"

Muslim (you) ask of jjkk for proof that Imposter is going to vote, when jjkk does not hint or say that Imposter is GOING or NOT GOING to vote.

Then you go on to say: "What a shame because when you say that you are feeling apathy towards what can be the most important issues that this country has faced in over 30 years."

Who is "feeling apathy"? jjkk? Imposter? The Fool?

Not a single one of them said or hinted at "apathy". Imposter said it as a disclaimer for folks to read with an open mind, which clearly didn't happen. Or was it that you got mixed up and read Obama's racist quote: "ANTIPATHY to people who aren't like them"? Them being those racist bitter Bible quotin' gun a'totin' white folk.

What you seem to find important about Imposter's post shows that even a disclaimer won't get Obama supporters to read facts. It took quite a while, but I checked out everyone of the links and there are no exaggerations or lies in his post. You two haven't even considered the possibility that any of it could be true. Who's apathetic?

I'm not even an Obama fan (or McCain) and I looked. Imposter was interested in fact finding, which the MSM isn't--nor it appears are Obama's blind followers.

Neither of you--or whatever you mean by "the six of us: checked out a single link. What are your words worth? It's easy to attack the poster than do a little fact check on your own, isn't it?

And just how "apathetic" is a man who must have spent hours researching and writing that when he hadn't voted for either of them?

And just how apathetic are folk--like The Fool and you (if you're not the same person)--who prefer to attack someone instead of looking into what he wrote, especially when real links are provided? Did either of you even read past Imposter's first two sentences?

Who's being apathetic "towards what can be the most important issues that this country has faced in over 30 years"?

pss. If you doubt the info (too hypnotized or lazy to check it out), notify the head troller and they can put it on their fact check website. A great way to get the truth out there! Do you really think someone would take all that time--did you even read the posts? To write crap? Hello. They haven't voted. What advantage it is if they have no candidate? Take a deep breath, get a clue and face the truth. It's not going away. And guess what? One day, perhaps soon, NEWSWEEK is going to turn on him and reveal all the truths they have been hiding. Howard Fineman is angry in that Hardball video and he's about as pro-Obama as it gets.

BTW the six of us that post under our blog colectively have over 300 years of experience on our planet Earth, If Fool was offbase, we would have pounced like your trying to do with him/her. If you are that upset with Fineman, Alter, or any other contributor, why continue to come back to Newsweek. We use NPR, Fox, CNN, Factcheck, Rasmussen, Newsweek, Google's news site, BBC, and many more sites to collectively gather and diseminate information among ourselves and others. The more you can read and come to an informative opinion, the better. We are done for the evening.

"WE"? And where is "your blog"? "Disseminate information among ourselves"? "The more you can read and come to a informative opinion, the better,"

Do read what you write yourself? How much :reading: have you done of Imposter's post? Clearly, nothing, from what you have written. You have not even rebutted a single point. After all that work Imposter did, he asked one question: "Give me ONE factual concrete reason I should vote for Barry." And not a single one of you could. That says a whole lot more that your redresses. It says with all the time you spent, you couldn't find a single fact to persuade him with. Or diid you even read that far? And writing all these comments between Imposter's words doesn't make them go away. Who has their "head in the sand"? Whose making "educated decisions"? Like Imposter, I would like one Obama fan to give me facts. I would like to see Obama fans defend him without attacking his opponent. I could respect you if you said: I'm voting for Barry because I want to. Period. Instead what you write reflects directly on your candidate: no substance.

One wonders if that was another reason barry walked away from the podium after answering, like eight questions? Do you know that that was absolute, irrefutable proof of the media corruption? I like how the Secret Service snuck him out an alternate way, didn't you?

By the way, why hasn't the SS confirmed or denied that barry was "in the pew" for Wright's uplifting sermons? Do you know that those "right wingers" have a video of barry?

You really never should have challenged me, don't you think? Do you think yo u helped barry out with your challenge? I enjoyed it. Immensely. And I do this for free. Tomorrow it's ALSAMMARAE, AHERN, ALLISON DAVIS, AYERS, UNIVESITY OF CHICAGO (a whopping source of info) and MICHELLE OBAMA.

Oh, and perhaps you could clear up why the only glitch on barry's world tour that was set up so magnificently for photo ops was Landstuhl? And why exactly does barry think he's the embodiment of change? And would you pleae tel barry to stow that I don't look like the presidents line? It's getting real old. I thought he wanted voters to see him as presidential? Or was that just a front for teh barry obama for President of Earth tour?

A pleasure, I must say. It proves that some barrybots know the truth, but choose to stay mesmerized. A toast! You prefer Grape Kool-Aid or Barack Obama Soda?

Give me ONE factual concrete reason I should vote for barry and I might just register now instead of waiting for the call from Denver.

Thank you. I checked your links and found nothing un-factual. I have also read the Obama fans retorts and they attack only you and nothing of your post. Says a lot. They'd at least garner some respect if they just admitted that they don't care what obama has said or done and are voting for him anyway. As is - their words offensive and defensive are as empty as barry's as you say.

      IMPOSTER:

re Rev Jesse Jackson. "the man Obama was happy to use against Mr Clinton to get the Thidblack vote and win SC and then happy to dismiss to keep the white vote?"

perfectly and succinctly put. thank you.

"Maybe that was one of the dream Sr had for Jr."

This is absolutely hysterical. He writes that book about a father and grandfather he never knew. period. period. how does one learn the dreams of someone who is dead. if his mother didn' have dreams for him he wouldn't be here. She could have abandoned hiim (Not that she ever for once considered it.) like his father. Why is he a son of Africa other than genetically? His father was not an immigrant. He never applied for citizenship. He was a man from Kenya who came here presumably for education and then returned to Kenya. he is not a first generation African American because his father was not an immigrant and never established residence here. How is this remarkably? and living in Indonesia between the ages of 6-10 doesn't exactly lend itself to understanding of the Muslim world. Hawaii had just become a state (not the 57th) and was he most diverse state in the nation. Interracial marriage was legal. How much identification does he have with the experience of the Southern mainland black? This is all such madness.

Who is believing all this? How can anyone believe this. Hello. Open your eyes to reality. He is the better option if he carries out what he says at the end of the changes. And why isn't anyone finding this alarming? Are you all so blinded? Why aren't any of you interested in the truth? There are some down there who attacked the poster instead of checking out his words. And you're worried about the future of this country? How seriously, if you don't even attempt to accept the possibility that Obama isn't who he says he is. Utter madness.

I speak once again to Idiot Boy, "willnotvoteobama"...You say enuff about what Obama's plan is not, and nothing about what McCain's plan is!!!...Let's say for the sake of argument that all you have said is true, then the first question that should be asked, is how did we get there (something about those whi do not know history...)?...The answer is Bush, Bush, and Bush...Along comes "Mr Keating 5", oops, I mean John McCain and he is in line with perhaps 90% of what got us into that mess that you say Obama is too inexperienced to get us out of!!! AAA agreed with Obama on keeping cars properly inflated, and eventually so did McCain...Was that Obama's only proposal? No!!! But you think that you can talk your way into and browbeat the rest of us into believing the CRAP that you say...NOT!!!...Anyone within listening (or e-mail) range ignore this boob, cause he's trying to sell more neocon BS, and mark my words, that's the kind of irrational logic which have the best military in the world mired in Iraq today...WBBJ!!!

ahhh a reply from a liberal cry baby okay lets do this ready ? mccain says put all options on the table wind, solar, coal, oil shale and of course drilling both in the coast line and on land so what will this do for america ? first the oil prices will go down because of the premise of more supply second if we start work on nuclear and solar and wind projects ( building them as opposed to talking about them ) that will cause the prices to drop even more why ? because of demand ! we will need less. third lossen the holds on the manufactures of energy so they can produce products that will save energy ( because the liberal tree huggers block everything with red tape and make the manufactuers jump through hoops to get the product to market ) now lets talk about obama he's for anything that will get him votes (like his flip flop on drilling ) he says he wants new energy but how is it going to be paid for ? ( our tax dollars )he's not going to cut any red tape if he was he would speak up on the polosi block right now ! next obama says we need more hybrid cars if we are stuggling right now how in the hell are we to start buying new cars ?he has no difined plan to get us out of this mess! just tax tax tax oil companies electric companies and wealth re-distubution of oil company profits he says he will only tax folks making 250,000 well think about it if you and your wife went to college and finally got all the loans paid off now you got a house payment and you might have a kid or two with the way things are right now college is even morre costly so saving for the kids education is hard and he wants to tax you p.s. the tax breaks he speeks of for the lower income folks is a lie most of these peopel don't pay taxes because of the bush tax cuts ! and just so you know for 6 1/2 yrs we had a thriving economy the last 1 1/2 is the killer and guess what thats when the democrat congress got in !

We are still waiting to see Barry's official, original, unadulterated, unphotoshopped birth certificate proving that he is a natural born U.S. citizen; one of the requirements of becoming President of the United States.....or are we just being too knit-pickie.

      • Posted By: SPIRITED AWAY @ 08/07/2008 12:06:15 AM

About the "whitey tape", the GOP is waiting to release the video after the Dem convention. Why do you think that Michelle Obama isn't on the campaign trail anymore? Obama's handlers are hiding her out. All this doesn't even really matter because Obama will LOSE come November.

        • Posted By: no bigots here @ 08/07/2008 2:31:31 AM

Why wait? Because there is no tape, just like Sinclair is trying to prove a nonexisting night with Obama. Nice headline grabber. A waste of time. Even the main characters of the rumor/plot said they were going to release the tape months ago, and no tape has not shown. If you believe every myth or rumor, I have land in the middle of the North pole to sell too. Sorry amigo

          • Posted By: SPIRITED AWAY @ 08/07/2008 11:24:29 AM

Guilliani got the tape earlier this year. The GOP decided not to release the tape before the Dem convention because they didn't want Hillary to get the nomination. As far as Sinclair goes, I'm not sure what to think about that. The man does have a brain tumor. Not to mention he has a very shady past. I just can't figure out why he's putting so much time and effort into this. He's obviously got someone backing him because there's no way a man on SSI could afford such a website. I bet the National Enquirers funding him. Anyway, I don't believe every myth or rumor. But Obama's campaign came out and told their people that Michelle was saying "why'd he" instead of whitey. Why would his campaign address the whitey tape if it weren't real? They wouldn't have. Once again your candidate will be scrutinized for something his wife said. Politics at the POTUS level are what they are-NASTY.

No I'm not joking. There is a "whitey" tape and it will come out. Politics is what it is. As for Hillary, the DNC screwed up BIG time by pushing Obama down everyone's throats. Come Nov. 4th he loses.

However, people like you who disseminate rumors with absolutely no proof or afraid to show the cards are as trustworthy as politiicians on both sides of the aisle. I am not holding my breath past .5 Are you that naive to believe everything you hear or read is gospel? You don't have to answer. I will be around after the conventioins. I will remember your posts.

P.S. I'll be around after the conventions, too. If there's no tape, I'll be the first to admit I was wrong. All I know is the guy that broke the Elliot Spitzer (Sloane, I think) scandal told Geraldo Rivera the tape existed.

      Definition of adore:

1 : to worship or honor as a deity or as divine
2 : to regard with loving admiration and devotion <adored his wife>
3 : to be very fond of <adores pecan pie>

      • Posted By: muslimsforpresidents @ 08/06/2008 12:56:44 AM

Noun 1. adoration - a feeling of profound love and admiration, and I think if you used that context of Cloud 67's posting it makes more sense. She may not feel profound love; certainly I can see admiration for Fineman with the bloggers posting. And so what are you trying to say that with Cloud 67's comment?

        • Posted By: BFOJ @ 08/06/2008 6:02:46 AM

muslims for presidents, it's to each individual as to what viewers think I was trying to say. My point was that we Americans are subject to putting people on pedestals, especially millionaires in sports, Hollywood, the media, etc. I cannot understand why people are enamored with those that can't even relate to us for they live in a world that is far removed from us. Why feed their egos? Sure you can respect them for their abilities and accomplishments, but to gush over them.

I'm sure Howard is a fine man, he's got real talent and a venue to share his views and is an accomplished writer, no question. He's only a man though and your use of the word admire is much more sensible, but then again I suppose we don't have to be sensible, do we? We do have the right of free speech, at least for now.

Sorry, I digress, this column is meant for discussing Obama's Southern Strategy.

To all who thinking of taking that leap of faith and voting for obama (the [mess]iah ) lets talk about faith. Now faith is real easy to come by if you have nothing at stake, picture if you will a tight rope walker up on the tight rope pushing a wheel barrow, you watch him go back and forth across the tight rope over and over again! Then he looks down on you and asks do you think I can do it again? And you shout yes! He says okay then get in the wheelbarrow! Will you do it? Do you still have faith that he can make it across? It???s a little different now right because you are at stake! Now lets take a look at obama he is a great speaker and seems to be intelligent. But is he the answer to our problems? Can he really do what he says? I myself can take that leap of faith because obama is not proven nor has he been tested in real leadership, he may be able to run this country once he has more experience under his belt but I don???t think he is ready now! If we put him into office and he is not able to deliver then we will have to deal with far more problems than we have right now! Take a good look at barrack obama and ask yourself is he ready? What about his problems with things like rev. Wright and William Ayres, Tony resko and the list goes on and on , if he was doing business with these folks that right there should question his ability to have sound judgement of what???s right and wrong! If you still choose to support barrack obama then so beit but remember it will be a long drop out of that wheel barrow and the ground will hurt when you end up there!

Republican have always taken the South for granted because they know how they will vote. They elected Bush and still believe he is not responsible for the War lies or the cost of gas and food. Look at the commercials that the Republicans run in the Southern States as opposed to the rest of the nation.. The problem they have this year is that they have a difficult time identifying with McCain. McCain will almost have to pick a Vice out of the South or risk losing a couple of the States that are a red block. It will only take one or two Southern States to beat McCain.

Don't let the "dirt people" get you down. They are a majority on the internet. Most working voters don't have time for it and they will vote against obama. He is a just a Chicago pol that happens to be "multi-cultural" which appeals to their misplaced sense of fairness LOL. Obama may be the luckiest pol in history. I don't think he could have beat Hillary. But she is an "obamanation too !! LOL

Mitt Romney is the biggest phony ever to run for office. McCain can't stand him, and he would actually pull the ticket down. Obama is horrible too, but NOBODY can blame the Democrats for our financial mess. W is in bed with the oil industry. As long as he and his rich cronies are doing well, he doesn't give a damn about the rest of us. What a mess!

    • Posted By: BFOJ @ 08/04/2008 5:31:39 PM

News and Notes states that "NOBODY can blame the Democrats for our financial mess." Wrong! It is the Legislative branch of the Federal government that sponsors and passes appropriation bills. Currently the Democrats are in control of Congress, therefore certainly they are a large part of the financial mess. It's a shame that many have jumped on the wealth envy bandwagon. It's only in America where ANYONE can be wealthy if you work toward that goal and take advantage of opportunities that exist for EVERYONE. I'm not the least envious of rich people, I wouldn't want to have the problems they have for money can't buy happiness and like it's always been said 'you can't take it with you'. Thank God there are rich people, they are the ones that provide opportunities, jobs, and resources for the rest of us. Stop your pity party and take care of your family, stop whining. This retired guy is going to enjoy my life, not be moping around blaming others for where I am in life.

Democrats are directly to blame for Bush and the present state of everything. They couldnt win. Gore Kerry Edwards and whoever else lost. Bush didn't win. Gore gets over his pride and Donna Brazile gets a clue and they let Clinton campaign Gore wins. Now look what they've done to Mr. Clinton. Kerry gets a few more votes in WV or KY he wins and look what they're doing to Senator Clinton.

        • Posted By: ludicrous @ 08/07/2008 5:41:21 PM

The DNC consists of presidential quitters and obviously non-presidents. it is complete and utter jealousy. they couldn't win so there is no way they're going to let a girl win - least of which another Clinton. Could imagine their shame? And shame upon shame for a female to beat all those men? Whatever Obama is - he's most importantly a man. Number one criteria. What if all the losers' votes were added together?. How many losers would you need to get 18M votes?

The entire Democratic party consists of total 100% losers who look like the presidents on the dollar bill: Biden, Bradley, Kerry, Kennedy, Edwards, Gore, Dodd, Dean (can you imagine if he didn't go manic with the yee-hah? Bush? Dean can't run the DNC -- even when he's pulling all the strings and has the MSM behind him, And most importantly, no guilt about the illegal closed door negotiation.
Say and believe whatever you want -- this primary is forever tainted. And if they don't put Sen Clinton's name on the ballot it will never be made right. History will prove their lack of integrity and the MSM. And then there's Richardson. Whose Judas is he now? Too little too late. Your future is forever damned to political purgatory. Certainly you knew obama would never give anything to a former Clinton supporter? He doesn't even want her voters. He wants to win without them. And he wants to take down the Clintons. UNITY?

And why doesn't the most recent Democratic President still not been given a role at the Convention? Party unity? The DNC is as corrupt as the MSM. Itt's lauhable. Each day Obama alienates more and more Democrats--real Democrats--not cult followers. Why is Obama expecting all the youth to show up and vote? What self-respecting Democratic would tolerate what the DNC and Barry camp have been doing to the previous president who had the country in pretty darn good shape before Gore and Kerry lost, They're willing it seems to lose another just to spite the Clintons. Party UNITY?

Now we have to thank God for the greedy people who gets rich off of the hard work of others? PULEEESSSEEEE

        • Posted By: BFOJ @ 08/05/2008 8:53:15 PM

Yes, we should thank God, not just for this but for everything. He's trying to get our attention but most ignore Him and go about their daily routines thinking we are in control. Not!

I don't see the rich as greedy, most are indeed hard workers. I see the people that don't work and can work being greedy for government handouts. It's time everyone stopped blaming others when the real blame can be seen in the mirror.

    Howard Fineman-

"As a well-traveled field organizer for Sen. Barack Obama," I thought the next word was going to be "I" --as in you. The rest of your article isn't worth reading. Though I can imagine it was about how barry needs to get people to know him and about how many people his grassroots approach are bringing over to him...

Did you mention that the reason Virginia may be in play may be because of the large Arab population? Did you discuss Operation Green Quest? SAAR & HAMAS & the Muslim Brotherhood--headquartered at the Bridgeview Mosque, south of Chicago?

If so, maybe it would be worth reading. As is, I'm sure it's just another lovefest how can I help barry win so he will notice me entry from your mancrush journal.

Or did you mention how barry's arrogance ticked you off during your campaign tour overseas? The one that was so well-organized without the help of the White House or US Embassies that the only clitch was Landstuhl?

    • Posted By: what? @ 08/06/2008 6:08:57 PM

I see no one wants to touch this either. I don't know about Virgina and that raid happened in 2002, but that Muslim Brotherhood is some nasty sh*t. Frightening to think that al-qaeda started in America in Barry's own state. How many of his Rezko-related donors "worship" there? Wright's pal from his magazine Marzouk...leader of HAMAS...hung out there. Did Jimmy Carter meet with him on his crazy ass mission? The mosqueites lobbied hard to get a new mosque in Palos Heights - just right around the corner. I wonder if that means Chicago will be safe from al qaeda because they'd be killing their own. It also makes me wonder if that's why Obama spoke out against Iraq and why he said there were no WMDs there?

      • Posted By: ludicrous @ 08/07/2008 5:12:09 PM

You guys have links to this? It never ends does it? What kind of *job* have these only interested in fame *journalists*? There was bashing of the media for not asking tough questions about Iraq. Now it's the presidential nominee. What is more important? Alter complains about bloggers -- but without them the truth would still be ignored in plain sight. propaganda. media controlled propaganda and no one cares -- least of all Newsweek.

He is not going to win the South I don't care what he thinks. Most of the black people now live mainly in the North. I don't know what that fool is doing because he is leaving blue states like New Jersey and New York undecided. I am so glad I am voting for Hillary or McCain and Not BHO.

      • Posted By: what? @ 08/07/2008 7:29:26 AM

        ever heard of write-in votes?

    • Posted By: raddave @ 08/03/2008 6:10:32 PM

Obama is not trying to win the black vote in the south, he is trying also to get the white vote. Obama won most of the southern states in the primaries against Sen. Clinton. Hillary is out of the race, get over it.

  • Posted By: pearsoncrz @ 08/04/2008 10:02:09 AM

The problem is that Obama is not a NASCAR-loving centrist wary of taxes and of gun control, and rural people know it, especially those who "cling to" their guns and religion in tough times.

The elections in November won't be over school breaks the way the Iowa Caucus Obama won was. He shouldn't count on the youth vote. They will be involved in football and frat parties and studying.

    • Posted By: raddave @ 08/04/2008 2:33:44 PM

Obama did not only win the Iowa Caucus.

      • Posted By: imposter @ 08/04/2008 11:48:42 PM

Wasn't much of a win. It was a caucus, which favored barry and it was split up: barry 38% (27 delegates), EDWARDS 30 (4), CLINTON 29 (14) and the pink-faced quitters? RICHARDSON (ZERO), BIDEN (ZERO) and DODD (ZERO). You want to call 38% a big win? Go right ahead. 38% isn't going to win Iowa in Nov, especially when it's no longer "cool" to be a barrybot.

I actually had one ask me why he had to vote again when barry had already won.

Also, the Iraq was tied with the economy (35-35). Barrybots actually thought--still think--barry had a say and that his supposed talking out (there's no audio recording or video and as life-altering as he tries to make it out to be, it never even made the paper the next day) mattered. He spoke out for political expediency. Things go well, no problem. Things don't, voters think he has good judgment. Judgment cannot be determined unless there are consequences. His had none and his ACTIONS after his supposed speech didn't back up his speech.

        NOT EVEN CLOSE.

So, what kind of judgment did he show when he actually had a consequence to his actions and wasn't spouting empty rhetoric to the mesmerized masses? He said he didn't know how he would have voted), took his famous speech off his website, gave his Convention speech--that altered the course of the world--and never once took EDWARDS/KERRY to task for their vote to use military force in Iraq (War has never been declared.) and then went to the US Senate and voted the same as Senator Clinton.

        Judgment or fairy tale?

And when he had a chance to directly discuss strategy in Afghanistan (the reason why he spoke out of no consequence), he held no meetings. Worse, when he went on his Jan 2006 CODEL with Sen Blayh, barry refused to go to Pakistan AND AFGHANISTAN and instead went to Jordan, Qatar (met with the Emir, who interestingly enough--or disgustingly--owns AL-JAZEERA, the Arab network that televises American beheadings and gets OSAMA videos--as if they don't know where they come from--and then spoke with Palestinian leaders, businessmen and students just weeks before HAMAS took control

        .Oh, so curious.

This, while he could have gone to Afghanistan and talked with our troops and military leaders about something he was so worried about and for which he claims superior "judgment"..

        Absolutely ludicrous.

But the mesmerized masses/MSM bought it and still are. SEN WATSON, who strongly supports barry, couldn't tell chills-run-up-my-leg CHRIS MATTHEWS anything about him. And foaming at the mouth MARK GREEN said barry was against Iraq as a state senator.

        Haha.

And as the economy took center stage, barry got less and less of the vote. Which, of course, was because those bitter, clingy, losing their jobs, homes and healthcare white folks, who have "antipathy towards those who aren't like them" are racists. barry doesn't inject race?

One word to describe barry: FRAUD

        Prove me wrong.

        I dare you.

        Howie?

        • Posted By: what? @ 08/06/2008 7:00:30 PM

No one is going to prove you wrong because they didn't bother to look. Well I guess they could have and not found anything to rebut--I didn't. Sloth vs silence. Ignorance vs denial. And I agree with you about Howie. Do you know if he was a reputable respected journalist once? Though I have a feeling he'll be the first one at Newsweek to jump off the bandwagon. Alter will drive it, even after reality has set in on all the other mesmerized masses.

Gotta watch Watson trying to say anything about Obama. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jj4VK9wVAi0

Imposter do you know when the MSM completely jumped in the bag? That was 2-19 and matthews hadnt yet gotten the chill up his leg. And at one point, david (chelsea is being pimped out) schuster and joe (Matthews doesnt have to apologize for saying hillary only won her senate seat because bill was a pig) scarborough got on barry for his *present* and the I hit the wrong button votes. Whichever republican said that about obama not having his hand on The Button was absolutely correct. Obama can't exactly say oh I made a mistake and pressed the wrong one. God help us all.

What they don't realize is that the republican trollers have to be out there reading it and it would help Obama out if the barrybots could disprove or clarify some of them. The fact that they can't says a lot. And the fact that they didn't even try says a whole lot more.

    Hey Twhit1007, Wgoin and Oharris30,
It is obvious that all three of you are so mesmerized by Obama that you can't see the forest for all the damn trees. If any of you had even half a brain you could see through all of Obama's lies and deceits. You have no more researched and come to your own conclusions than a kindergartner. As for Wgoin claiming I have no education, I hope you feel real safe in knowing that I have and am at present an Avionics Technician with both an Airframe and Powerplant Mechanics License. I have a degree in Aviation Maintenance and a degree in Land Mobile Communications. In case you don't know what any of that is, it just means that I have more intelligence in my little finger than you have in your entire head.
As to your political views, as always if someone disagrees with you, you claim they haven't done any research as to their candidates positions or views or you stoop to denigrating their level of education.
All i have left to say to all three of you is this,
"I'm trying real hard to see things from your point of view, but, I can't get my head that far up my ASS!!!
So, ya''ll have a real nice evening and keep drinking that Obama kool-aid, you'll eventually get the socialist society you all seem to desire so much.

As a Democrat I actually believe that McCain's best choice is Romney at least on the surface this would be a formidable team...By contrast, Obama's best choice would be Hillary, as much as I did not like the fact that she did not apologize for her war vote...WBBJ!!!

    • Posted By: what? @ 08/06/2008 6:50:14 PM

I agree. Other than the Mormon bit - Mitt gets on the ticket and McCain keeps rocking his energy plan it's gonna be competitive.

As we get closer to the election, it is clear that Sen. Obama has a real challenge on his hands. It would not be easy for any candidate trying to reverse the thought process that has gone into generations of the southern way of looking at things. I don't know if he will make it or not but I do know that Obama is the best candidate for President. For those who are still parroting Tucker Carlson and his silly Messiah name calling, I will say, we support Obama because he cares about his fellow human beings and he put a great deal of thought into the ideas and plans that he offers the country. He has shown time and time again that he will always put the needs of the people before his own needs. McCain's dirty campaign is an insult to the american people and the fact that he was a war hero, in no way can excuse this shameful behaviour that belittles the very office he wishes to hold.

    • Posted By: pearsoncrz @ 08/04/2008 2:57:57 PM

How do you know he cares about his fellow human beings? He hasn't done one thing to make anything better for anyone but himself his whole life.

Sen. Obama was the first African-American to be elected President of the Harvard Law Review. After he graduated from Harvard, he returned to Chicago and for a time he worked for a small civil rights firm and he lectured on Constitutional law at the University of Chicago Law School. Instead of going to work at some big firm where he could undoubtly have made lots of money, he chose to become a community organizer and help people who had lost their jobs due to factory closures and other reasons. He helped people find affordable housing and health care, helped them find reliable child care so they would know their children were safe while they worked, he helped them through church groups and other groups with clothing and school supplies. The list goes on, but the point is he cares deeply and what he does with his life shows it.

  • Posted By: Prt10 @ 08/04/2008 9:02:04 AM

He is not "now for offshore drilling". If you would take five minutes to actually listen and digest information. He is willing to consider a comprimise if that is what it takes to get some dort of enegry policy on track. There was a non-partisan group of legislatures that has proposed some offshore drilling in return for emissions reduction and a more comprehensive energy plan. So if the choice is for both sides to stay entrenched and nothing to happen or a comprimise I would prefer a comprimise anyday.

    • Posted By: what? @ 08/06/2008 6:16:20 PM

Why did Obama laugh and make jokes about offshore drilling as recently as a few days ago?
