With Obama coming to the Bible Blet of America, one needs to contrast the man with what his speech writers have written for him to tell us southerners. The true measure of the politician is not the speeches, but what he has done in the past. We know his past. He says he is a Christian and there are many ways to Heaven, but a true Christian knows that the only way to Heaven is through faith in Jesus Christ. Whether you are a Christian or not, you know that Barack is either ignorant of what it means to be a Christian, or he is pandering to get your vote; either way he is not the man to lead this great nation.

CHANGE can be good, but are we CHANGing from the frying pan into the fire?

As for President Bush's policies, only history will tell us, not the media that is enthralled by Barack Spears or Barack Hilton

Diogenes08 - You do realize that John McCain is not a baptized Baptist?

What is wrong with you? Do you actually believe the mess that you are writting. I seriously hope not! Are you saying that just because a person may not share your religious beliefs they will go to Hell? Listen, if your were truly a Christian you would not be posting this nonsense. Also, if you were a free thinking well versed or well read person you would know that although differnt religions call there Lord different names, in essence they are praying to the same God, the Creator. Now I now there are some religions that do not pray to a totally differnt entity. However, Jews, Protestants, Catholics, Baptists, Evangelicals, Jehovah Witnesses and Muslims (Yes Muslims) all pray to God, only the nane differs, ie. Jehovah, Allah etc.

You really give Christians a bad name and you ought to be ashamed of yourself. By the way, at least Barack Obama actually is proud to say he is a Christian and believes in Jesus Christ. When have you heard McCain through all of this campaigning mention is faith? Just because he choses not to does that make him more or less a Christian thatn Obama? Maybe or Maybe not, it is not for us to judge that. If you are going to try and judge Obama or be skeptical about his religious beliefs, I say this, I would put more faith in a person that embraces his religious beliefs and doesn't care who knows, it rather than a person who just doesn't mention it at all.

Why don't you suck Obamma's dick. One sided and pathetic. You think we don't see what you're doing. Trust me, this loser won't win and Newsweek will continue to lose maket share. Hey Raddave, how is BHO unpatriotic? Wear the flag pin, don't wear the flag pin. See the troops, no pics, no time. Rev Wright, the weatherman dude, community organizer. Sort of like Al Sharpton. Hmmmmmm, got my vote. Not!

    • Posted By: raddave @ 08/03/2008 5:03:18 PM

Wearing a flag pin or not is not a sign of patriotism. Obama DID visit with troops in Afghanistan and Iraq. Rev. Wrights comments are exactly those, Rev Wright's. You seem to have no problem with McCain's associations. He was a very close friend with Charles Keating, the man who personally almost destroyed the Savings and Loan industry. Phil Gramm, the co-chairman of McCain's campaign and his chief economic advisor who said that America has become a country of whiners and who's economic policies vastly contributed to the Enron scandal.

I smell the fear of those who are still afraid of the color of a man's skin. They are desperate and afraid that a black man will be president.....although this black man is of both ethnicity (black and white). All you who profess to be christians and should know the bible. All nations came from two people Adam and Eve....it's simple after that!!!

    • Posted By: blowme49 @ 08/03/2008 5:02:35 PM

You are such a Dumb ***

  • Posted By: dokman @ 08/03/2008 4:34:59 PM

OBWAN, of course I knew that. why would they want to have to earn their living, and work for something, which the Democrats keep flowing freely, just for their votes. . Heres a newsflash for you. Its not the Replubicans which keep minorities down, its minorities. The democrats with higher taxes , kill more jobs in America than anything else. America is the land of free enterprise. If you want to live in socialism go somewhere else.

    • Posted By: OBWan @ 08/03/2008 5:01:16 PM

BTW - we already live in a socialized country, sorry to disappoint your sensibilities - Lets see there is Social Security and tax breaks if you earn $11.5Billion.

In regard to experience, a group of presidential histoians recently published an analysis of all of our past presidents with regard to their experience prior to taking office and how history judgeed their service in office. The big suprise was that those coming into office with lesser amounts of experience based n a variety of metrics had dramaticlly higher preformace scores in office, in fact the overall picture that was painted was that wih very few exceptions those deemed to have the highest levels of experience prior to taking office ranked among the lowest while in office and visa versa.

Omamma keeps throwing all his radical associates under the many busses he needs every time one pops up. And theres been a bunch. Kinda makes me wonder how many more skeletons this guy can have in his closets.

Most conservatives that I know could care less about race. We are afraid of Obama's apparent socialist views, income redistribution, associations with, uh, radicals that freak me out. Socialized healthcare is not working well in England and Canada, and there is a push in those places to now pull back and re-privatize. Read the news from Britian! Whatever ails us here is better than that. I understand the want for change, but Mccain is not Bush--even close! I truly have my issues with Mccain, too, but Socialism is not something I can in good conscience vote for as it has historically had disastrous economic results. His ass

    • Posted By: raddave @ 08/03/2008 4:52:23 PM

Rolling back the bush tax cuts IS NOT income redistribution. It is for the top 1% of our country to pay their fair share of the taxes. Taxes do not only pay for social issues but for ALL of our governments budget, to include defense. Obama has NOT proposed Socialized health care, he has proposed affordable health care and if you cannot afford private health care he has proposed a government funded health care system, NOT government ran. Obama has proposed economic policies that are in line with what Clinton had in place and our economy thrived under his policies and our government had a budget surplus the last year he was in office. NEOCON economics have had disastrous economic results.

DAAAAAAAAAH! Of course he will take those states. That's where the big black population is. It wouldn't matter if he were the ant-Christ himself, he's BLACK, that's all that counts!!

Living here in the Shenandoah Valley, I just want to remind the viewers here that it was Democrats that supported Obama and that was the man before he was known, the man of change. Yes, he changes his positions, but everyweek that's a bit much. Seems like other liberals he is not a person of conviction and principles, but of feelings and with a finger in the air to test where the wind is blowing. The next vote will include Independents, Republicans, and Conservatives and they will have their say. To those who think others are painting Obama as something he is not, let them read his published books and listen to what he has stated then you'll know the real Obama and he isn't what the liberal media would have us believe, not even close. Get real!

Experience only counts if you have good judgement to go along with it. Many of us have worked with so called experienced people who are only experienced in doing the same bs for years.

  • Posted By: tiredofthesameol' @ 08/03/2008 4:20:44 PM

seems some of those posting are playing the race card and no doubt wouldn't mind 8 more years of Bush if they could have it (and I mean actually "BUSH" not McCain. I am sure they are not "hurting" financially but probably gaining much from this type of governing.

Obama is like a mushroom. Feed them bs and keep them in the dark

I am from Pa. I didn't like the remarks Obama made about our state in the primaries, I also don't like his associates, such as Wright, Ayers, etc. I don't get his idea on faith, how can he talk about his faith when he sat in that church for 20 years, I will not change my mind about him getting my vote, I will give it to McCain, I would rather be safe than sorry

I from Virginia too, I guess I'm from the old south where I believe a man when he says he follows Jesus Christ- I believe a man who believes in God because that's what my Lord and Savior has told me to do. And in a time when I am payin more and more at the pump, when I am trying to keep hold of my house and still have enough money to pay for some health insurance to keep my prescription drugs from costing an arm and a leg, I am going to take the man on his word and look at the real issues that are affecting me and my family right now! From the sounds of it, McCain is spending all his time and money talkin bad about this guy instead of talking good about himself-- now that right there seems a little fishy to me. If McCaion is so good and so right why isn't he spending his time and money talking about that. I'm tired of these politics that ain't helpin none of us.

It is obvious that there are a few ignorant postings here! The "rhetoric" is certainly unchristian like and I wonder which Christ these people are serving. If you think that because he has a muslim middle name that makes him Muslim when his first name is derived from hebrew name "Barak" so does that make him Jewish? I have a french name does that make me French. Think before posting comments!
