It may be a good news story, and an important decision, but there's no one Obama or McCain can choose that will alter who is best to be elected president. And that's Obama. The worst democrat is better than the best republican. And I used to be an "independent."

I'm not voting for either candidate for President. But what I am going to do is vote for the conservative the is running for the Congress and the Senate when he comes up for election. I encourage all thinking people to vote for a Republican no matter what they did, or even a new candidate that is running against an encombant Republican. That would be a better idea. I don't like the idea of putting back in the rascals that went along with Bush and ran up the debt. There are some fine young, smart, even older very experienced new conservative candidates that everyone can vote for in November. Put conservatives in office so the leftist Democrats won't have a super majority in Congress. If we lose more seats in the Congress and the Senate and get Obama as President, America is in big trouble. The first thing that will happen is we will get that next Islamic terrorist attack we're waiting on. It will be done so as to get the cooperation from the new government under the Democrats that like doing business with our enemies. Just ask Diane Feinstein. She loves doing business with the Chinese, and her and her husband are guilty of war profiteering while she was head of the military contract committee for giving out contracts in Iraq. Has anyone heard of any investigation of her for the high crimes she has committed? No, and you won't. If you people want this kind of government allow the leftist get full control. If not, then vote to put conservative Republicans in office. The one's that are in there now are not conservatives, like Bush is not a conservative and never said he was. Aamerican always does best when conservatives are in control. That is the way our forefathers made this country to be run, in a conservative manner.

Here in the good old United Kingdom, outside Buckinham Palace, I heard some American tourists from Texas discussung the USA Elections. The general concensus was that Obama/Clinton would be the real dream ticket for the Democrats.
No president or vice-president is 100% angelic, but at least the nation knows all about the Clintons, but are they prepared for a woman vice-president ? Remember Margeret Thatcher of the UK !
I do hope that the USA votes carefully, as the worlds future is at stake,

They're ALL IDIOTS. Even Bayh is just a little too precious. Don't you think? The Punk kid of a former Senator, has this Son of Daddy ever even HAD A JOB? Then you've got the hair plug kid; Joe Biden. He couldn't keep his MOUTH SHUT, if openning it meant the Death of everyone on the planet. Who else you got? What about John Edwards? Or is he not available at the moment? Last I heard, he was being held hostage by the National Enquirer, in a Mens' Room in the basement of a Hotel. Seems Mr. 2 Americas has got himself 2 FAMILIES. But you wouldn't know that by reading this RAG. Or any of the other Democrat Mouthpieces, who REFUSE to print or discuss this STORY. How's your circulation, again? Don't let me forget the Fat Mexican, out there in New Fat Mexico. People like to call Biden, the dumbest man in America, but NOBODY can hold a candle to this MORON. A triple whopper with cheese, maybe, but NEVER a candle. Go ahead, ask him a question. ANY QUESTION. After wiping the burrito sauce off his coat lapel, with his tie, he'll go on for 5 minutes with his hums, and haws, and pauses. Then. in a barrage of spit flying from his face, he'll recite the latest TALKING POINTS that he has written on the palm of his hand. Only to find that they've disappeared from his sweaty fat hands. Yeah. That's quite a field of Potentials. And when you think, that they're ALL MORE EXPERIENCED than Barry Shuck and JIVE, then you realize how much trouble we are truly in.

"Barry shuck and jive"? It's really sad when idiots try to hide their racism with ignorant remarks like that

It amazes me that all these Obama haters act as though McCain and the Republican party are going to improve this country. Every problem that we in the U.S. face today is a direct result of the policies of the bumbling moron in the White House, his party and his supporters. They love to cite the "fact" that Obama has no leadership experience...look at where Bush "leadership" has gotten us: the economy is a wreck, the wars we are fighting are unwinnable and the whole world hates us. I would rather have an intelligent, compassionate, human, than these heartless, ignorant hate-mongers presently in charge. The ned of the Bush regime and the GOP hegemony cannot come too soon

To all who thinking of taking that leap of faith and voting for obama (the [mess]iah ) lets talk about faith. Now faith is real easy to come by if you have nothing at stake, picture if you will a tight rope walker up on the tight rope pushing a wheel barrow, you watch him go back and forth across the tight rope over and over again! Then he looks down on you and asks do you think I can do it again? And you shout yes! He says okay then get in the wheelbarrow! Will you do it? Do you still have faith that he can make it across? It???s a little different now right because you are at stake! Now lets take a look at obama he is a great speaker and seems to be intelligent. But is he the answer to our problems? Can he really do what he says? I myself can take that leap of faith because obama is not proven nor has he been tested in real leadership, he may be able to run this country once he has more experience under his belt but I don???t think he is ready now! If we put him into office and he is not able to deliver then we will have to deal with far more problems than we have right now! Take a good look at barrack obama and ask yourself is he ready? What about his problems with things like rev. Wright and William Ayres, Tony resko and the list goes on and on , if he was doing business with these folks that right there should question his ability to have sound judgement of what???s right and wrong! If you still choose to support barrack obama then so beit but remember it will be a long drop out of that wheel barrow and the ground will hurt when you end up there!

All those who voted for Bush in '04 should be keeping their mouth shut right about now. If you honestly thought Bush had done in a good job in '00-'04 (unnecessary war, turning a budget surplus into a record deficit, gutting the Bill of Rights, screwing the working classes), then you need to spend more time reading a newspaper (no Fox 'news' please) and less time shooting off your mouth. You're obviously not qualified to cast judgment on our current candidates. Please don't vote either. You'll only screw things up worse.

Personally, I think he should pick Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson for the second slot! I mean if the ticket is going to be black, you might as well go all the way! All these people saying they are so unprejudiced, well let them put up or shut up. He'll have to win with all non southern states though.

I have a personal interest in the plight of the Cuban people in America. When I was i Vietnam a Cuban refugee who along with his family fled here when Castro took over Cuba. He was born here and his family didn't waste any time teaching him about his roots in Cuba. This man was in my company and I got to know him and he told me of the hell in Cuba under Castro. He said what he wanted to do was put together a combat team and after he got out of the Army, and go back to Cuba and take his country back. He was a very tough individual and had the kind of patriotism that is needed in America again. It's here but has been stifled by the leftist undermining our culture for the past forty years. If the kind of patriotism was as it should be in this country, the Bay of Pigs incident would have been victorious and Castro would be nothing but a bad memory. I support the Cuban people in taking back their country. They have a right to be a free people and not under the thumb of the Marxist Castro family or the reinvolvement of the Russians. If Cuba was a free and democratic nation the life of the Cuban people would be so great. There is alot of resources in Cuba that could be exported and the Cuban people would be wealthy and happy and prosperous. I would hope we could take their fight for freedom as an example to keep socialists like ALL the leftist and socialists in our own government in the Democratic Party out of anything that runs our nation. Liberalism is death to freedom and democracy in America. We need to return to our roots like the Cuban peoples want to do. If our two nations were to do what is needed there would be much blood lost but that is what is the price of freedom. Freedom is not free. It is paid for in blood. You cannot pay for it with the kind of talking to our enemies that Obama wants to do. Freedom doesn't work like that. You can't talk your way to freedom in the same way that you can't tax your way to prosperity. The people must be free to take care of themselves and make lives for themselves with the role of government being to provide an environment so the the people can generate their own wealth. And one way to accomplish that is obtaining private property. This is what leftist hate. Freedom to generate personal wealth and ownership of private property is what our Constitution and the Declaration of Independence and our Bill of Rights provides us with the way to do these things. The left are bent in getting rid of these documents which enable our nations people freedom. We don't need the government to do these things for us. That is what you see in Cuba when the government takes over people's lives. They die!

this ought to end any chances he may have had..Pelosi is probably the least like person in the United States..and is the focus of many jokes...her indorsement has absolutley no value....look up boob in the online dictionary..and Nancy Pelosi's warped face pops up

  • Posted By: WillofLa @ 08/04/2008 4:07:04 PM

I don't really think that who Obama chooses, he'll be anothe liberal and one that we have to remember will take over as President if anything happens to Obama and can't serve. Who on the left side would we want to see be President as well as Obama? Whoever the Democrats choose will be someone that could run as President if he would. So who would that be? The same thing for McCain. Whoever he chooses the voters will have to look at as a potential President if anything happens to McCain. He does have numerous health problems and his heart is as bad as Cheney's. He could kick the bucket anytime. So his VP pick is more important than Obama's. Besides who the heck wants a leftist running the country.

  • Posted By: Bigdukesix @ 08/04/2008 3:31:21 PM

Chet Edwards!! What the heck happened to John Edwards? Wasn't he the love child of the Democratic Party?

And now, another indication that Nancy Pelosi will run DC if Obama is elected. He is, after all, the puppet of the far left and had demonstrated several times that he has no consistent policy!

Why are there no blacks on Obama's short list for Vp? McCain has Colin Powell, Condi Rice, and Michael Steele on his list. Why is Sheila Jackson Lee, for example, not on Obama's list? That would shake things up.

The thought that Bill Richardson would capture the Hispanic vote is amusing, unlike the Black vote, the Hispanics have very different issues and concerns that can not be lumped together and labeled as a "Hispanic" issue. While immigration may be a major Mexican voter issue, Puerto Rican and Cuban voters aren't effected by it and often are opposed to being labeled and lumped together with illegals and their issues. Having a Mexican-American on the ticket may actually drive away other Hispanic voters that feel they had to earn "their" right to be here by playing by the rules and following the immigration laws and paying "their" fees and taxes. And Bill Richardson will now be focusing on his Mexican roots and concerns making it easier for Mexicans to enter and stay receiving government benefits at "their" expense.
