When I lost my 2000 Honda Insight to an accident caused by another driver I had to replace my Hybrid which was no longer in production. I chose the 2008 Honda Fit which gets over 43 mpg in actual combined driving. The high book value of the Honda Insight contributed for a large part of the cost of the new Honda Fit.

Honda Fit gives me over 43 mpg. It's nice when you get better gas mileage than the cars Advertised Rating!

I owned a chevy malibu 1998. The car supposedly GM claimed that everyone said they couldn't build. It was fine all the way up to 110k and then it just died. I changed my oil and flushed out everything frequently so I guess that's why it lasted that long but a lot were not as fortunate. Come to find out they had a problem with the gaskets on 3.1 l engines in all makes from 97 to 2001 I believe. They waited until all the cars were old and then gave a recall for the gaskets but peoples warranties were up and the cars were already damaged so many could not make a claim. Then GMAC put a repo on my credit after cursing me out over me wanting to pay them the balance and them demanding my past due immediately. How retarded! I now own two foreign vehicles. A mitsubishi galant and nissan altima. The altima is so nice and gets excellent gas mileage. The galant is at 150k and still going. I bout it at 49k.

I own a Honda Ridgeline & it is great. Would never own another American made car. I had a Dodge pickup that leased in 2000 in California. I wanted to purchase the car but found out it had been previously owned but was never told. They even put on the sales slip the truck was new. When, I spoke with Dodge about it, I was told that because I was not a UAW member they could not help me. So Dodge could not help a customer & that is what keeps them going as a company. I later traded it in for Sonata. My pickup had only 17,000 miles on it & was 3 years old. It looked like new, for I take very good care of my automobiles. But if left a bad taste in my mouth, I will never own another American car. Honda all the way. Great truck.
