More reasons why Monavie has no credibility and is a huge SCAM! There is just so much FDA involvement going with the Dr. and Monavie that this company won't last much longer.

DR. Alexander G. Schauss who did the 12 person clinical study on MonaVie is a fraud. That is a huge let down for MonaVie Reps trying to defend their business. Scam artist working with Scam business.

Thanks to Dsqard investigation I will repost what he found.

DIET & BEHAVIOR "EXPERT" FAKES HIS CREDENTIALS

A Canadian newspaper, reveals that Alex-ander G. Schauss has misrepresented his background and achievements in his curriculum vitae. The investigative report itemizes eight specific examples where Schauss lied. Schauss is president and sole registered agent of the American Institute for Biosocial Research in Tacoma, WA. He has been traveling around the U.S. and Canada for many years expounding his unfounded theories about diet and antisocial (criminal & delinquent) behavior. Schauss' lectures before teachers in British Columbia at which he received lecture fees of as much as $1,000, prompted the probe. Schauss apparently is a good salesman for his ideas, but also embellishes them with the illusion that they are supported by his sound academic background and research. Many teachers, mental health workers and probation officers have been confused by Shauss' notions. Schauss is defended by the Canadian Schizophrenic Foundation whose director, Steven Carter is also editor of the Journal of Orthomolecular Medicine--a megavitamin advocacy group. Schauss lists himself as a "Ph.D. candidate" and encourages the accolade of "Dr." to be used in reference to himself. In fact, he has been registered since 1981 at unaccredited California Coast University in Santa Ana. (The Vancouver Sun, 9/13/88). COMMENT: NCAHF has been aware of the pseudoscientific nature of Schauss' work for years. His pretentions regarding diet and criminal behavior led to a lenghty investigation by a special task force and the publication of a position paper on the topic. This article is well written and of high interest to anyone interested in these issues. Available from NCAHF for $1 and a stamped, self-addressed envelope.

The National Council Against Health Fraud sheds some
light on the FDA Raid, and the credentials of Alexander
Schauss, in the following article, published in the NCAHF
    Newsletter, July/August 1992:

    • Posted By: Report2FTC @ 08/11/2008 12:59:03 PM

On May 8, a frantic plea by Alexander G. Schauss (see
"Diet & Behavior "Expert" Fakes his Credentials," NCAHF
Newsletter, January-February 1989) went through the
      communications network of organized "alternative"
medicine. FDA agents and King County Sheriff's office
personnel had raided the Kent, Washington, medical office
of Jonathan Wright, MD, on May 6. The FDA seized
illegally imported drugs, unapproved medical devices, and
other items at the clinic. Sheriff's officers broke down the
door and entered with guns drawn when people inside
refused to open the door, which is police policy since
emotions can run high at such times and irrational behavior
can be anticipated (Schauss claims that no attempt was
made to knock on the door).

Wright is a celebrity maverick. He is a member, and former
chairman, of the Board of Governors of the National
Health Federation, the leading anti-consumer protection
lobbying group inthe country. Supporters were asked to
FAX White House Chief of Staff, Sam Skinner, on
Wright's behalf, who Shauss said had dedicated a special
FAX line to receive details on this raid. (Note: NCAHF
responded by faxing Skinner the message that the FDA has
been criticized by Congress for lack of enforcement, and
should not be interfered with now that it is doing its job.
The case should stand on its own merit, and not be
politically fixed. Further, we pointed out that the influx of
mail should be interpreted as an indication of just how
large and well-organized quackery has become.)

StemTech HealthSciences of Klamath Falls, Oregon, would like you to believe that StemEnhance??? can help many health problems. The product's label describes it as an extract of Aphanizomenon flos aquae, a species of blue-green algae harvested from a lake in Klamath Lake in Oregon. The retail price for a bottle of 60 capsules is about $60. The recommended dosage is 2-4 capsules per day.
StemEnhance appears to be the brainchild of Christian Drapeau and Gitte S. Jensen, Ph.D. Drapeau is director of Research and Development for Desert Lake Technologies, of Klamath Falls, Oregon. Desert Lake's Web site says that before that, he spend five years as director for research and development for Cell Tech International, a multilevel company whose primary products are derived from blue-green algae [2]. The Web site also states that Drapeau holds a master of science degree in neurology and neurosurgery. Jensen is director of research for Holger NIS Inc., of Port Dover, Ontario, Canada. Holger's Web site states that her Ph.D. is in immunology and that she has done research projects on immunology, cancer biology and metastasis, and nutrition.
In February 2002, Medical Hypothesis published a report in which Jensen and Drapeau speculated that adult stem cells from bone marrow might be capable of migrating to various tissues where they could produce regeneration and repair. They also urged others to look for substances that could trigger such mobilization [4]. A few months later they applied for a patent in the United States for a method for "enhancing stem cell trafficking." The patent document states that they had administered blue-green algae preparations and detected increased circulating stem cell levels in humans and laboratory animals [5]. The patent was awarded in November 2004. Stem Tech HealthSciences, which is a multilevel marketing company, registered its domain in September 2005 and began soliciting distributors through the Internet soon afterward.

For anyone wondering why this information is being posted over it is because Gitte Jensen PhD is the second of three PhD's listed on the "blind study" done on MonaVie. The third PhD listed is a psychologist. The company that conducted this study is in the buisness of doing these "scientific studies" for companies like MonaVie. The cry of "do your research" works both ways.

The Amazon Thunder is blended with grape juice, while MonaVie is a blend of 28 organic fruits. I prefer the wider spectrum of fruits of MV. I'm one who benefited from the juice, though I did have headaches as my body was detoxifying. Two months to realize the improvements though I was sleeping better within a week.

    • Posted By: goodstuff4u @ 08/07/2008 2:51:16 PM

You ignorant person! Amazon Thunder does not use grape juice it is pure organic concord concentrate and thier product is thicker than the pathetic slop that Monavie offers. Monavie is water thin contains less than 5% acai and contains carcnogenics in sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate plus harmful chemicals and preservatives! Amazon Thunder is hands down the highest quality and purest acai product know to man in the world today! Your ignorant and brainwashed and don't know quality obviously,.,.Amazon Thunder is organic and kosher and pure and of the highest quality they produce an acai puree product that nothing holds a flame too. All I see is a bunch of Monavie reps on here lying again like they all do because they all know they are desperate and have to keep convincing themselves. Truth is your all suckers and all have the sam mentalitiy. Go for a pure acai product if you want one and that is Amazon Thunder hands down the best. If you want a blend of 19 ordinary fruits with harmful preservatives then go for Monavie..stop using this place as a marketing scheme for the pyramid stuff!

It's interesting how everyone else is blasting MonaVie, it's product and comp plan and then making claims that their particular product is better. Have you noticed any MonaVie distributors blasting anyone else's company, product or comp plan? I guess that is because we know we have all these great things and when you are at the top others try to knock you down. I think there are a lot of good nutritional supplements out there but as a MonaVie distributor I'm not blasting other products, rather just believing and promoting what we have.

A journalist???s job is to provide information to its reader so they can make an informed decision about the topic. However, an irresponsible journalist can manipulate the story in such a way as to convey a negative image if he or she wants the reader to share in their negative impressions.

Tony Dokoupil (the author of this article) uses words or phrases to purposely diminish the company without stating it plainly. How does he do this? Take a look at the phrases he uses:

    megachurch revival
    earning sales rather than salvation
    cult following
    drinkers and sales apostles
    luring customers
    plied the business angle
    drinking the Kool-Aid
    kingpin executives

If you know nothing about this company what impression could you possibly have other than this is a bad company? Why didn???t the Newsweek editors edit this article as to be fair? I can only assume that they have the same negative idea about network marketing and/or MonaVie as Tony does. Is that responsible journalism? No. This is a hit piece not a news article. Apparently hacks like Tony or his editors can no longer tell the difference.

The only good thing that Monavie can take to heart is that few people read this magazine anymore. If you wish to know why Newsweak is losing readers this article should provide all you need to know.

For everyone that doubts the uniqueness of MonaVie we have the peer reviewed studies. Other Acai products do not. It is our process that makes the difference. Unless the Acai is properly preserved soon after it is picked it does not hold its value.
Here is the third party double blind test results on the MonaVie's juice. Read it and weep. Other nutritional companies conduct internal tests. These are only published if they are are good. A third party prints them no matter what the results. Ours is very good and very exciting for a former skeptic like me.

In 2001, a citizen's group filed a suit in California objecting to 30 claims Cell Tech had made in brochures or on its Web site. In February 2003, the judge ruled that all of the challenged statements were deceptive. He banned their further use in California and ordered Cell Tech to refund the full purchase price to California consumers who purchased its algae products between October 1997 and September 2002 .

Please review that website in detail to get your facts corrected. First off, it's not double blind, it says the participants were told what product they were consuming. Your misinforming people like a MonaVie rep would do. Next there was only 12 participants, sounds like MonaVie has the money to make a quick study that the participants new what they was taking to give the juice a little credibility. This is an obscured study with only 12 participants and I bet they was part of the company. That is not an accurate study. This brings me back to my original saying. about MonaVie

    MY STORY

Are you wondering how Mona Vie compares to other juice products distributed via network marketing? Everyone likes to say that their drink is packed with health-promoting nutrients. But how do you know if it's true?

Mona Vie is the "Rolls Royce" in this industry whereas others are like a VW bug. I have never put my reputation on the line for a product until I became familiar with Mona Vie and it's creator, Ralph Carson, PhD, LD, RD.

Did you know that consuming 4 ounces of MonaVie daily is equivalent to 13 servings of fruits and vegetables needed to maintain a proper supply of food derived antioxidants for your body.

NO OTHER DRINK CAN SAY THAT! Not Noni, not Goji, not Mangosteen!

Phytonutrients are nutrients concentrated in the skins of many vegetables and fruits, and are responsible for their color, hue, scent, and flavor. To a lesser extent, they are also found in grains and seeds.

People sometimes mistakenly believe they are vitamins and/or minerals. In fact, they are pigments, or more precisely, the biologically active constituents of pigments. How can they benefit you? In the last few years,
phytonutrients have been getting greater attention, as more and more research uncovers just how powerful these nutrients are for our health.
They are potent antioxidants that can neutralize free radical damage. Free radicals are highly reactive chemical substances that, if left unchecked, can lead to premature aging and disease.

Clinical trials are now revealing that phytonutrients can enhance the strength of the immune system, and may play a role in preventing certain cancers. Other studies have shown that the phytonutrients in blueberries
and bilberries slow brain aging and maintain healthy vision in rats.

It has long been known that plant-based nutrients are among the most beneficial of foods to consume a great deal of and phytonutrients may hold the key to explaining why this is so.

MonaVie is a blend of fruits which have been chosen for their nutritional content. Açaí, our star ingredient, is one of the world's most powerful antioxidants. The benefits of antioxidants have been documented thousands
    of times over.

I hope that this information helps you to understand why we are so excited about this product and how it has benefited so many thousands of people in so many extraordinary ways!

and bilberries slow brain aging and maintain healthy vision in rats.

It has long been known that plant-based nutrients are among the most beneficial of foods to consume a great deal of and phytonutrients may hold the key to explaining why this is so.

FDA site on Dynamic Essentials a company Dallin Larsen, owner of Monavie, was V.P. to. Company was shutdown by the FDA for making false claims for treating various diseases like cancer, arthritis and ADD. A lot of juice companies go down the same way. You would think Dallin would of cleaned up false claims being made by Monavie Reps.

Any time people start pointing out that an MLM is nothing more than a pyramid scheme with facts, the "sales people" just start attacking. If you really need acai berries, there are a lot of products in your local grocery store that now contains them and they are not marked up to $40 a bottle to pay for someone in the pyramid chain. That goes for any juice company.

I am not a new MonaVie Distributor ReportFTC. And what are you suppose to be, a company insider or something? You pretend to know everything about MonaVie. Also, I don't need to read the Dynamic Essentials report again, and again and again. It still says the same thing it said last time I read it and the time before that and also the time before that time. What is in the report happened more than a year AFTER Dallin Larsen left the company, and he left because he did not agree with the direction the company was heading.
So were you a Dynamic Essentials Distributor? Probably not, well I was, and I totally agreed with Dallin Larsen then and disagreed with Nature???s Bounty (NBTY) the billion dollar a year publically traded owners and the money behind Dynamic Essentials, and I totally disagreed with the direction Gary Razer, Dynamic Essentials??? President was taking the company. He was the HEAD GUY then and not Dallin, and he is still the HEAD GUY but now, but instead of Royal Tongan Limu by Dynamic Essentials, they are Original Limu. Unfortunately you don't know what you don't know. And you really don't know anything about MonaVie other than the same old rehashed articles which the likes of you post over and over and over just to make it look like there is tons of stuff, when there are only several old articles which do not relate to Dallin Larsen.
You statement with regards to blaming Dallin Larsen with what happened at Dynamic Essentials more than a year after he left would be the same as blaming all Germans for what Hitler did, or all Russians for what Stalin did, or all Italians for what Mussolini did. One more time, in case it didn???t sink in... Dallin Larsen had been GONE for more than a year before Dynamic Essentials was squashed by the FDA for the health claims, which were actually made by Distributors and not the company. By the way, Nature???s Bounty was already in hot water with other health claims relating to their vitamin and health product line. Here is something you didn???t know??? Dynamic Essentials was actually a sacrificial lamb given to the FDA by NBTY in return for not shutting them down for their other health claims and also for not screwing up their Rexall takeover bid. They now own Rexall as well as all the GNC stores in the UK. There is a bit of insider info for you REPORTFTC.

"Your statement with regards to blaming Dallin Larsen with what happened at Dynamic Essentials more than a year after he left would be the same as blaming all Germans for what Hitler did..."

Yes, Larsen was only a VP at Dynamic Essentials, so he is more like a senior ranking Nazi officer -- like Himmler or Eichman. Do you know what happened to many of the sernior ranking Nazi officers? They were tried at Nuremburg and then executed.
