Lets talk about 25%of all adds in newsweek are pharmaceutical adds. So can we trust them to give us a honest feedback. How pharmaceutical companies are killing thousands of people a year and maiking money. How many people are dying from Mona-vie? All their product is 19 fruits in a bottle. Look how america eats. WOW its must be a scam they are actually caring about people and telling them the power of fruit.

How many people are dying from this product? How about anyone who buys into the cliams that it will CURE CANCER? How about people who take it for asthma?

Your report is interesting, but tells us nothing about acai . Acai juice is available health food stores and most supermarkets for a fairly reasonable price; nutrient dense and rich in antioxidants.

For a great product with many more health benefits, visit www.pulsateplus.com which is a sub web site to www.goldshieldelite.com and Goldshield is a MLM company that has been in business for over 20 years.

Just to let you know. School doesnt work. I know thousands who havent finished. I also know thousands like myself and my siblings, who are broke. What i mean by broke is living paycheck to paycheck. I have beenusing monavie for a while and I dont feel any miraculous benefits, however, ive been drinking coke for my whole life and i dont feel the damage its doing. I do know that I would rather have natural fruit juice in my system rather than sugar water. As for the business end, Yes it works. So does Amway, Mary K, Avon, Primerica, and evey other business out there. BUT you have to work. There is no somthing for nothing. Most disgrunted people have failed at most things they have tried. Before youwrite articles like this I suggest you join( work it for 6 to 9 months, not just get in), DOE THE WORK and then write. Not just go out and use

mona vie is not a cure-all and certainly not a scam. Like freedomfiner said, "it's a legit way for entrepreneurs to create a fortune for themselves by helping other in the process" Mona vie has proved to help lots of people with "personalized" problems, more than one Its not a drug. Its not a cure all but a way to help take care of yourself nutritionally and if your not getting the proper nutrition that you need then your not going to be as healthy as you could, which leads to health problems. How many people do you know consume two servings of 19 super-fruits per day?

    • Posted By: Schaarschmidt @ 08/06/2008 2:41:28 PM

      Superfruits? Please define superfruit.

As a Mona Vie distribuor, I want to say THANK YOU to everyone, for spending time commenting on this wonderful product. Positive or negative. Those who have positive things to say about the product know, because they have tried it, those who have said negative things about the product have NOT tried it long enough and would rather take a prescribed med that cold have a stroke as one of the side effects. As far as the business side of it is concerned, here is their secret to succes....One of the top producing distributors says it best, "I love working fo a company that wnat you to be more succesful than they are." So, he helps his new distributors get started by giving them 2 new enrollees to sign up and get them started. It strengthes the chain and motivates the new people. It is about giving back. I don't know about you, but I like that....

    • Posted By: dsqard @ 08/06/2008 2:40:43 PM

I was offered the same thing by another MLM scheme. This one wasn't selling juice but the idea was the same. I didn't sign up for that one either.

If you drop out, you can not succeed at anything you do in life, most people do not finish what they started, it is not MonaVies falt the drop out rate is %70 - MonaVie is the real deal, and the compensation plan is being studied by top universities around the world, why? because it's a very agressive pay plan paying you 8 different ways right from the beginning, if people followed this simple plan they to would become wealthy and at the same time staying healthy, what is wrong with that?

    • Posted By: Schaarschmidt @ 08/06/2008 2:40:26 PM

How much money have you made on this plan? Or are you just going to keep on having faith until the "someday" that you may actually turn a profit?

I WAS ALSO APPROACHED BY SOMEONE WITH THIS MONAVIE MIRACLE DRINK. I READ ALL OF THE INFO AND DID SOME RESEARCH ON THE INTERNET NET. YOU MUST BE STUPID TO BELEIVE SOME OF THE CLAIMS THAT THE SALES PEOPLE TELL YOU. THE SALES PERSON TOLD ME IT WILL CURE ALMOST ANYTHING. (DIDN'T BELEIVE IT) I DRANK THE JUICE FOR A MONTH AND HAD VERY BAD STOMACH PAINS. (I THINK IT WAS THE JUICE BUT NOT SURE) I QUIT DRINKING THE JUICE AND HAVE VERY LITTLE PAIN. BOTTOM LINE....DO A LITTLE RESEARCH AND YOU WILL SEE IT'S A LEGAL PYRAMID SCHEME. DON'T BE FOOLED INTO SELLING THIS STUFF. YOU WILL HAVE A STORAGE FULL OF JUICE AND NO INCOME TO SHOW FOR IT AND PLEASE DON'T GET SETUP ON THE AUTO DRAFT FOR YOUR MONTHLY SHIPMENT. BAD NEWS. HOPE THIS HELPS.

    • Posted By: sbeck545 @ 08/06/2008 2:40:20 PM

If you are so smart about what a pyramid scheme is, maybe you should look at the orginizational chart at your job. I'm sure the owner makes less money then you do because there is no way he is smarter or works harder then you do. Business is business and it really doesn't matter if you like it or not. I stand corrected if you go to work every day and don't collect a paycheck because it's not all about you. Your job is not for me and obviousley Mona Vie is not for you so leave it at that and enjoy your life without tryinn to ruin someone elses.

  • Posted By: cloudconnected @ 08/06/2008 2:39:42 PM

I drink the juice, have been for 4 months. A shot in the morning and a shot in the evening, is all I'm doing. So far, it's just little differences I see. I've had a mosaic plantar's wart on my right foot for 3 years. After two months of Mona Vie, it's gone. I haven't had a headache in 3 months, I used to get a migraine every other week. Back pains are gone. I was so skeptical when my dad got me a few bottles to try out, but my own experience with it has been nothing but positive. Do some research on orac scores and the acai before you make your opinion, as well as the freeze-drying process that Mona Vie uses in the juice. It really is a great product.

Posting this again because I'm not sure it posted. Just a thought to the owner about making medical claims. Wouldn't it be okay to state the alkalinity of the product as cancer and bacteria can't grow in a alkaline body.

Notice none of the "critics" of MonaVie were identified and notice the University of Florida study on the acai berry was not mentioned. The acai berry is a superfood and the anit oxident properties have been verified through scientific study.

If you are a distributor, the price tag is about $33 per week. How much do most people send gettingtheir five servings of fruit every day. Right. They don't get their five servings of fruit every day!

Understand that big business has a vested interest in keeping you purchasing their products of diminishing nutritional value. I would challenge this reporter to write a similar piece on ANY diet pill distributed through traditional retail companies.

    • Posted By: herewewere @ 08/06/2008 2:27:41 PM

Amen - that's what I've been trying to say. This article is so slanted and biased as to make people who believe in the health properties of a nutrient-dense juice look like loonies. The real loonies are those who put all their faith in pharmaceutical drugs that cost far more and destroy the body, not curing a single thing! The truth is slowly getting out that God's plants, vegetables, fruits, etc. are exactly what the body needs for maintaining physical health. When will people stop buying the snake oil of the pharmaceuticals? Those are the ones who make billions upon billions every year while thousands of people die every year. Why not write an article about that?

      • Posted By: kelvar @ 08/06/2008 2:38:51 PM

The real loonies are those that think that they can cure all ills with a quick fix. There aren't any quick fixes. Do the right things over the long haul and you'll live to be 100.

Monavie isn't a cure all, it allows your body to heal itself. I've seen several firsthand stories where people experienced some pretty amazing benefits after drinking it a few months. I've seen others try it for a month and give up mostly because they were sceptical to begin with. I'm aee Bronze executive making about $450 bucks a week residually with Monavie. That's more than I'd make renting out a property! My wife and I started in Pasadena back in February.

For your health, the scientific research behind the fruit blend is inarguably good for you. It may even be great for you. It beats the heck out of trying to take 14 servings of exotic fruits a day.

If you're interested in better health or better wealth, we're here to help you. We are having the times of our lives helping others get going in this business or helping others with their health. While your report is interesting , it says nothing about the health value of acai berrie/juice which is rich in anti oxidants and is available at health food stores most supermarkets at a fairly reasonable price.

  • Posted By: fishmojo1 @ 08/06/2008 2:37:05 PM

    GOOD, Diarrhea & Headache?

Did anyone tell you your body was de-toxing???

  • Posted By: sibuscam @ 08/06/2008 2:37:02 PM

Look up Sibu. Same claims and the MLM benefits pulled from the distributors after a few years. The company built it's base through MLM and then reduced the price and cut out all distributors. Same scam, different fruit. Save your money. Eat right and Exercise.

Having absolutely no connection to this MonAvie drink, I will speak purely of the bias that saturates this article. References to "cult", "following", "apostles", drinking the "Kool-Aid", as if everyone who believes that natural, antioxidant-rich, nutrient-packed foods can actually heal and prevent disease as opposed to toxic chemical drugs which do nothing but "manage symptoms", often with extremely harmful side-effects and sometimes death, is some sort of kook. Why don't you substitute a pharmaceutical company into this little expose, showing how they make billions one their chemical "snake oils", killing hundreds of thousands of people every year and lining their pockets? How about we discuss the wild "claims" made on most of these drugs that most certainly do no cure a single disease? How about we talk about the millions of unfortunate souls who blindly drink the pharmaceutical "Kool-Aid" like drones without even a thought that maybe, just maybe, there are natural alternatives out there far superior, and much cheaper, than pharmaceutical drugs? Don't get me wrong, this MonAvie juice seems quite expensive and sounds like it's structured in a multi-level marketing fashion, however to falsely correlate its effectiveness to this is illogical and a distraction from the fact that acai juice is very healthy and many have benefited from it. So instead of spewing your bias, why don't you fairly report on the pharmaceutical companies as well and their direct drug marketing to individuals that dominates an ever-increasing percentage of television commercials these days. Why don't you investigate their ties to the FDA and the corrupt ways Big Pharma lines their pockets at the expense of Americans' health? There are far more truthful and revealing articles about that you could write about rather than slander a company that is doing quite well selling a wonderful product that I'm sure does far more than any pharmaceutical drug...and at a fraction of the price. I hope people can see through this article and what it's designed to do, which is discredit natural health. Shameful.

I think it is unfortunate that Newsweek is choosing to tie a company to the effects of the acai berry. Perhaps Mona vie isn't a good company. It doesn't mean that acai can't help some people. Newsweek should have done two articles, one on the effects of the berry, one on Mona vie. They also should have done more investigative work on the effects. The FDA doesn't run the world, there are a lot of nutritionists and doctors who understand why this juice works. Ask them about it.

  • Posted By: duhduh @ 08/06/2008 2:34:09 PM

There are successful door to door salesmen too. That is beacause they can count on the seemingly ever growing percentage of really really gullible people out there. Even telemarketers make money.

  • Posted By: Rafterfan @ 08/06/2008 2:33:47 PM

I would like to see a story on another MLM, Xocia, aka Healthy Chocolate! They have "healthy chocolate" parties to get people to not only buy but sign up to sell the stuff. They make a lot of claims of health benefits as well, so, come on Newsweek, do a story on that too.
