    This article takes a few wrong claims by a few people and mis-represents everyone else involved with MonaVie. MonaVie is not a drug, so it doesn't claim to cure any diseases. Check out the real info on MonaVie at www.monavie.com , they don't claim anything about cancer or any other diseases. MonaVie is a food that contains a super high amount of anti-oxidants, way more than any store bought juice will contain, so obviously it will be good for your maintaining your overall health. The network marketing form of selling the product is fully legal and has been around for a long time. It is too bad that a magazine as well respected as Newsweek cannot do enough research to print the real truth.

      You say that, but read the comments above. People are right here saying that it cures allergies, MS, asthma, back pain, and other ailments. Just because the company is smart enough not to put it on their website doesn't mean that the people selling this stuff aren't advertising it that way. And that IS what the article said.

    Look up Sibu. Same claims and the MLM benefits pulled from the distributors after a few years. The company built it's base through MLM and then reduced the price and cut out all distributors. Same scam, different fruit. Save your money. Eat right and Exercise.

    Mona Vie is one of the greatest discovery of mankind. I have friends and family who can attest to the fact that the juice cured cancer and other miracles.
    For example,
    1) My Friend who had lung cancer started drinking Mona Vie for a little over a month and his cancer was cured.

    2) My friend sister has major anxiety, after taking Mona Vie for a month, her anxiety was gone and she is so happy now.

    3) My cousin has a 3 year old son who is labeled autistic by his teachers. After convincing him to take 1 dose a day, he is now very intelligent and can do mathematical calculator... at 3 years of age! Can you believe it!

    The american audience would love to see author of this article right something true and factual. Does the author know that home based network marketing business is one of the biggest trends and will continue to grow steadily over the next 10-20 years? Does the author realize the ORAC value of the acai berry; its the highest compared to any other fruit known to mankind! Does the author mention that 4 oz. of MonaVie will give you the equivalent of 13 servings of fruits and vegetables? MonaVie spends alot of money giving the SCIENCE behind their product and allows consumers to make their own judgements. It's a proven scientific fact that everyone has free radicals and what those free radicals can do to healthy cells - do your own online research on free radicals. I don't "feel" a whole lot different, but i didn't "feel" a whole lot different when I took vitamin pills, brush my teeth or take a shower...but I do them because they are actually healthy for me (and the people around me). I know that I have free radicals and I would rather be pro-active in dealing with them instead of developing symptoms later on that need more invasive procedures to cure and/or manage.

    I suggest the author do another true and factual research on the projduct and business instead of writting the article from an anit-free enterprise, anti-business perspective.

    There must be some kind of alcohol in the bottle, before they add the juice, that allows people to believe in such miracles. For those that do buy into the miraculous health benefits of a $40 bottle of fruit juice probably got a really good deal on some speakers some kids were selling out of the back of their delivery van because the warehouse put an extra set on the truck.

      Did you actually drink it. Or do you just not have an open mind? There is no alcohol in this product but I guess you didn't read the label or nutritional facts. My guess is that you are not drinking this delicious and nutritious beverage either. Because if you were feeling the benefits like I am and boy do I ever feel it you wouldn't make such silly comments. I believe in miracles just 10 weeks into drinking this juice. Ifebenefits and

    I believe the way they can get around the medical disclosures is stating the alcalinity in the product and state if your body stays alcaline no cancer or bacteria can grow. Maybe a thought

    As the article says 0n the internet. is it a cure-all or snake oil? I guess if it makes you feel better you will claim it is a cure-all but at $40.00 a bottle? The real cure-all is the people at the top of this Pyramid who are getting rich from someone who does not feel well. I feel sorry for those of you who are being "suckered in" by a con artist who worked for another company the federal government put out of business. SNAKE OIL, you bet.

    Years ago they had another "miracle tonic" on the market called Hadacol. It also claimed of miracalous cures of every human malady immaginable. Oh Well! Time will tell. Sounds as if this is another Pyramid scam. As P.T Barnum said "there's a sucker born every minute"

      Its amazing that some of you keep saying that Mona Vie is making "miracle claims." As juice drinkers and distributors ourselves, we have been advised by the company, as every distributor is, that we are NOT to make any health claims whatsoever! People share the testimonies of what it has done for them one on one with others, and so would you, if you had a major health change in your life. But, we never tout claims to anyone in our tasting parties. My husband and I own 10 different Subway Sandwich franchises, and if you want to talk "PYRAMID" - corporate America is a pyramid, schools are a pyramid, you can find examples all around you of pyramid systems. Mona Vie absolutely is NOT a pyramid. We started taking the juice without any knowledge that it was a part of an MLM. After noticing results and then sharing it with family, and finding a way to have it shipped to them, we came to understand that we could get this great product for free. Needless to say, in less than 5 months we were gold executives, and we both still worked our regular full time jobs. We passed the rank of many distributors "ABOVE" us, therefore proving that Mona Vie is NOT a pyramid! It's really sad to see so many people so close minded about this. People - Mary Kay did it, Arbonne does it, Pampered Chef . . they all have great products that find their way into the market through Network Marketing! What's the problem???

      There's no such thing as a "miracle tonic". The way Monavie works is it simply allows your bodies natural defenses to help heal you in the way nature intended.     Get real. If the focus of the product was some sort of health benefit, why to you think the head snake oil salesman had all those cars on stage? Is it about the health benefits, or about the money? I like the "There are a lot of well known athletes taking the product" justification - most athletes I've dealt with have room-temperature IQs. That's about as funny as having movie stars tell me their political opinions - who gives a rat's behind what they think? They're dumber than athletes. This is just my opinion, like it or not.

    I absolutely love MonaVIe, and have seen it do a near miracle to my mom's rhumetoid arthristis and my brother's addiction to pain killers....yes, my whole family, including myself were sceptic....my mom's doctor has been doing a study on her, and we have the hard evidence that her scores have gone down nearly 200 points. I also have a brother who has been on pain killers for nearly 12 yrs, and now has been off the pills, and on MonaVie for 104 days. As for myself, I consider myself to be pretty healthy, but have to admit, it is pretty darn nice to go throughout the day without yawning...love the energy I have!!

    Notice none of the "critics" of MonaVie were identified and notice the University of Florida study on the acai berry was not mentioned. The acai berry is a superfood and the anit oxident properties have been verified through scientific study.

    If you are a distributor, the price tag is about $33 per week. How much do most people send gettingtheir five servings of fruit every day. Right. They don't get their five servings of fruit every day!

    Understand that big business has a vested interest in keeping you purchasing their products of diminishing nutritional value. I would challenge this reporter to write a similar piece on ANY diet pill distributed through traditional retail companies.
