zzzzzzzzz.... Sorry, I fell asleep reading your remarks about good nutrition. Clearly there is a lack of proper nutrition among busy Americans. As a MonaVie consumer I am happy to enjoy the nutrional benefits of the product. In my busy lifestyle it is just not practical to consume the recommended daily allowances of fruits and vegetables. As a Registered Nurse I am not happy with those in positions to influence individuals in unhealthy directions. You clearly do not have the expertise nor the insight to comment on that in which you are not educated. Using your opinions about the MonaVie business plan to discourage people from learning about good nutritional supplements is unethical. I do not know what else to say but shame on you!

Several years ago, this stuff was distributed in packets of thick liquid and sold in health food stores. I tried it out for awhile, putting it in fruit smoothies every day for about 2 months. And I must say I don't know what all the hype is about, because I felt no different than I did the day I started using it. Personally, I wouldn't spend the money on it.

Your smart!! If it don't work for you? Don't buy it... SIM___PLE???>>>>>

What a total scam. It's simply a fruit with high ammounts of antioxidants. Good for you, but you can find it elsewhere in other products for quite a bit less money(still relatively expensive) with the same benefits. But believe whatever you want if it makes you feel better(placebo effect) and help make these greedy folks wealthier.

      My thoughts exactly.

I am definitely not going to say that MonaVie is a scam, however to make any real money - you have to move a TON of product ($8/bottle means to make any real money, you have to become recruiting machine). Network Marketing is a legitimate way for entrepreneurs to create a fortune for themselves by helping others in the process. I would say that it absolutely has health benefits, as I am a consumer of this juice-product (though I would never get involved with the business-side). I am a Network Marketer who is creating a fortune and I am doing so in a relatively short amount of time. Really, there is no "right or wrong" company to join, as long as the company focuses on INTEGRITY and is a legit vehicle to help you make BIG MONEY! Love what you do, or it is just not worth doing! http://abundanceisyours.info/

Its a marketing scheme like NONI the Tahitian Juice. They are using marketing scheme called pyramid. I am brazilian I know that acai juice is very good, ans has been studied for a long time in research centers and universities in Brazil. Its sad make people consume that to make them think that will be a cure for their health problems...

People save your money buy berries and plain yogurt and make smoothies. Just as healthy and much cheaper. Jumba Juice makes a smoothie with Acai berry. Much cheaper.

There are alternative products that are more potent and more affordable on the market. Check out Deborah's Collection for the best blend avaiable and a very high ORAC score.

Ever hear of the placebo effect? You rubes will believe anything!

    • Posted By: gracie1220 @ 08/06/2008 1:23:27 PM

I suffered from depression and chronic fatigue for 10 years. I took Lexapro, I went to therapy. I went off Lexapro, back on to another anti-depressant. I experienced extreme fatigue to the point I couldn't even drive. For those of you who have not experienced ailments like this, supplements seem like insanity, they are placebo's for suckers. However, I now have a full time job, and I'm a student. No more naps, no more crying, no more crazy cravings. Placebo, well, if it is, it's a damn good one.

You greedy sales reps all talk the same talk and scheme others into this overpriced juice. I was approached a year ago by a good friend of mine and he gave me a few bottles to try. I had the worst sleep you could ever imagine and could not stop going to the bathroom. This juice has no standardization to follow and I lost all respect for my friend. He no longer does this business because he felt so bad.

    • Posted By: auctiontime @ 08/06/2008 1:23:07 PM

You should give your friend another chance! Just think! Your both Mona -Vie Free.....Make him feel better!!

    • Posted By: susanwesla @ 08/06/2008 8:57:49 AM

Unfortunately, no one probably explained to you the detoxification that occurs when you consume this type of beverage/supplement. It is quite normal to experience more frequent bathroom visits, mild headaches or even mild flu-like symptoms. That SHOULD have proven to you your need for continuing the product at least until the symptoms cleared. Think of it this way, what kind of weight loss plan drops you 50 lbs in 2 weeks? None that is helathy. But you expect to reverse the cumulative negative effects on you rbody from years of pollution and abuse in just 2 weks? Think about it!

I started drinking MV in November last year, and I must say I jumped on the band wagon myself. I got my husband and my family to try it, but here I am 9 months later, and I am the only one of my family still on it (only because I had a surplus of stock-alas I am down to my last 3 bottles). I definately feel a benefit, but it really did nothing for my family, and for my husband and mother-in-law the juice gave them extreme cramps. I started researching what was out there in comparble products and found that you don't have to pay big money or become a seller for discounts to reap a benefit that only works on some people. After switching out the MV juice for another product, I found that there is no difference in the way I felt on MV than this other product. After depleting my MV stock I will not be paying the huge price any longer. Just a side note, after getting overflowed with stock I became an inactive seller and I can say I will not go back. Not because I had problems with the company at all, but more that I just sold out to a product that works just as well and is nicer to my wallet.

Question to tinskeeper -- what is the other product you use?

  • Posted By: gymrat @ 08/06/2008 1:16:20 PM

Doohickies...I think the American Cancer Sociey recommends 5-7 servings of FRUIT a day, not chocolate

Crap, now you tell me.... I wonder if Piggly Wiggly gives refunds on chocolate bars?? :)

People, understand that in any profession the money goes to the person who is the best, the one at the top. If a person gives up, that person is destined to fail. History is filled with stories of how the successful never gave up. Success is attained by the one who make a decision to change the way they think. According to Kiyosaki, the only thing that separates the successful from others is the way they think. Let's face it, we are all on a system, whether it is the success books and CD's that we listen to and read in our business, or mainstream TV and radio, we all get inputs. Your success will be measured by the inputs you take in. You have to make the decision for yourself. The question you have to ask is, will reading Kiyosaki or Paul Zane Pilzer move me closer to my goals and dreams, or will I become more successful watching wrestling or listening to Stern. Quit begrudging people their success, contrary to what most people think, home-based businesses are going to create the bulk of the wealth in the coming years. You would have to read Pilzer to get that info, you won't hear it on on TV or radio. Let me help you out....Pick up the "Cashflow Quadrant" by Kiyosaki and "The Next Millionaires" by Pilzer and see what the experts have to say about what you are trashing.

It is really sad that in today's day and age people are still so desperate to believe in something...whether it be the next snake oil "Mona Vie," the guiding hand of God, or whatever it is that people must believe in to get them through the day. It is the arrogance of man to dissect, label, justify, and explain that brings chaos and confusion to this world. You all need to take a step back, swallow your pride, and admit that you have been conned like so many before you. Believe me it will be a cathartic experience???one in which you will thank yourself for.

Enter Your Comment I really will be praying for you. You sound as if you are in fact the wisest person in the world who knows everything. Again I would bet the you did no research on the subject but you chose to give us such a wise appraisal of this subject by telling us all that we are poor stupid fools who just do not know anybetter. God Bless You! We all appreciate your concern and comments. Hope you find a happiness soon.......

I can't or won't admit to such a thing. I am so sorry that your view is so jaded that the thought of something actually doing what it says has you cowering in the corner. Have you tried it? Have you looked at what is in MonaVie and looked up each ingrediant to see the benifits it has?

  • Posted By: GetYourFactsRight @ 08/06/2008 1:19:26 PM

In a perfect world GreenGables is right BUT, and I do mean BUT, virtually no one eats their required daily fruits. A sliced banana on top of your cheerios just doesn???t cut it. And I don't consider the pukey looking babied fruit you purchase at the grocery store to actually be real fruit. That processed and coddled stuff is mostly filler with very little nutrition. At least the Acai in MonaVie is wild, not processed, not organic, not protected by humans, but WILD. Even organic fruits are sickly little pieces of nothingness other than they don't spray them with pesticide. Otherwise they are like any other store bought fruits that are still babied and coddled and protected in manmade fields and groves, but that's another long post. Check out the price of raw Acai some time; look for product with at least 14% or more solids, not the cheap crap that everyone else uses which are muchhhh cheaper and only 2-4% solids. At least Customers and Distributors that are drinking MonaVie are doing something to improve their personal health. That???s more than I can say for the nay-sayers on this and other blogs. At least MonaVie Distributors are giving others alternative and not just negative comments, most of which are mere fiction and speculation. Nobody is forcing anyone to purchase MonaVie, and if you feel MonaVie is too expensive then go to Walmart and buy the cheap stuff, just make sure get 10 bottles instead of 1 bottle of MonaVie so you can get the same nutritional value.

I'm a registered nurse, and have MS. My son has asthma. We both take Mona Vie. My MS is in total remission without any meds. (no more avonex!) And my son's asthma is now completely under control, without inhalers or steroids. His pulmonologist released him, and told me to keep giving him the Mona Vie. The results speak for themselves.

I really love the Mona Vie haters, they're probably selling another competing juice or vitamin product and find themselves wanting. I juice daily with my family along with regular exercise, and I have noticed an incredible boost in my overal health, and yes I exercised prior to using Mona Vie. Taking it for a week or two and waiting for something to happen seems kind of dumb.

Take the juice for a month, diet and exercise, and then you;ll find yourself wanting to take the juice for the added boost you'll receive through out the day, you'll also notice that when you don't take the juice for a while you'll feel a lack of energy.

Check out www.powerof7lv.com if you are interested in a drink that has been endorsed and whose company was built by Bill Farley. This drink has no preservatives or additives and is based from the amalaki fruit. I have not had any experience with MonaVie, but at $40 dollars a bottle I can't say that I'd want to.

I've not drank MonaVie but I've had the juice sold at Tullys and vitamin stores. It doesn't do much but tastes good. A friend introduced me to the acai supplement and I've been a devotee ever since. Due to an accident I'm left with head aches, vertigo, depression, etc. brought about by the surgery to my left frontal lobe and using the supplement gives me ability to focus, concentrate. Using it in conjunction with my prescribed medications I do get an energy boost, especially mentally. All my doctors are aware of my taking this supplement and so far it's not posed any health threat. A cure all? Doubtful. A supplement? Definitely.

Had not heard of MonaVie before reading this article, but have been drinking Acai juice from my local health food store for about six months. I had swollen glands, but no sign of infection that was detectable by blood work. Antibiotics didn't help the glands, just caused yeast infection on top of them. Looked for something that would cleanse (detoxify) my system without me having to fast. Acai was recommended by a naturopath. within two weeks of starting 8 oz morning and night (not a concentrate) felt 75% better. One month later feel great. No drugs. Just added the juice to normal diet and exercise routine.
I think there's something to it, at least for me.
