    Huh! It's hardly news that increased levels of CO2 increase growth rates of plants. What's conveniently omitted here is that the grow is a result of the absorbtion of carbon from the CO2 producing guess what in addition to accelerated plant growth? Are you realy postulating that an increase in allergies an unacceptable price to pay for romoving CO2 from the atmosphere??

    More smoke and mirrors. You do realize that all the plants in your cities and suburbs were *not* there natively? That's right kiddies -- they were PLANTED there when they built your McMansion, your closed-circulated air offices, and other concrete objects. Oh, and those particulates pouring out of your car exhaust aren't helping, either. Global warming? Feh. Stop planting natural (and driving) all these air polluters and you'll solve the problem.

    This is the most depressing column I've ever read. We're all going to sneeze to death----soon. If bad news sells magazines, I say invest in Newsweek.
