GloryB, you say, "I know someone in Chicago and he told me it is common knowledge that all these so-called small donations Obama gets are actually funneled through regular people but actually comes from a few very rich donors so the crookedness goes on and on and on." Well, all political funds have this happening. They can only accept so much through one source, so donors find ways to give them more without it having appeared to come from them. Don't even think McCain doesn't get some of his funding the same exact way.

I think all you self-righteous Christians are paid political forum bashers and I wouldn't believe one thing you have to say about another Christian. You ignore stated facts and twist your own spin to undermine the masses. As for me I see through all of it and I will never vote republican again.

It has been exactly one month since the New York Times broke the John McCain/Vicki Iseman scandal, and since then the press has gone after Iseman with all the veracity and acumen of a dead hippo. What gives?

Don't get me wrong -- I think that if John McCain had an inappropriate relationship with a lobbyist who looks like a Barbie doll that your sister gave a haircut to, it doesn't make him any less qualified to be president than I already think he is. That said, since any Democrat that is state assembly on up can't look at a woman other than his wife without the press going after her, I'd like to see the same crappy journalism help my team for once.

Certainly isn't happening yet, and (Vicki Iseman) is probably sitting at home thanking Eliot Spitzer and Jeremiah Wright for making this news almost as old as John McCain, smugly patting herself on the back for being the only person in history to be a front page story in the Times with the self-control to not utter a peep. That, or some shadowy people have buried her in the desert.

Obama's religious beliefs are none of my business, just as my beliefs or lack thereof are none of his. I don't want to hear about anyones "conversion" experience. Those are private matters and should remain so. To use one's faith as a campaign tool is repugnant.

What is the point. He will get the black vote, but he is not assured of much else. It is not only about his lack of experience and a record of accomplishment, it is about his flip flops, his associations such as Rezko and Wright, and the arrogamce he has on constant display. Don't expect religious to fall in line over any of the stuff in this article.

Since Obama has had so many religious experiences, hes not quite sure where he fits. Testing the waters sort of speak. Hopefully he will calm down into something not so radical.

ABOARD THE STRAIGHT TALK EXPRESS (CNN) ??? John McCain, who rarely talks about his faith publicly, discussed some of his religious beliefs with reporters Wednesday - including the question of whether he might consider being baptized again.

The presumptive Republican nominee talked with journalists traveling with him from Kentucky to West Virginia about his home congregation, North Phoenix Baptist Church.

"Pastor Dan Yeary has a message I enjoy and appreciate," he said, adding that he and his family have "grown close to [Yeary] over the years" and that he tried to attend services at the church whenever he was home in Arizona.

"The message that Dan Yeary conveys of Christian love and redemption is one that I welcome," said McCain. "And I'm always spiritually helped and assisted when I attend those church services, as I think most Americans are when they attend church services."

The Arizona senator, who was raised an Episcopalian, has attended North Phoenix for nearly two decades, but is not a member because he has not been baptized into the church.


On Wednesday, he told reporters that he had been Baptized in Panama, where he was BORN, and talked about a photo in his memoirs of himself as a baby in a baptismal gown, with his father and grandfather.

"It's like a dress," he chuckled.

Note: Thats not the same thing at all and Mccain knows it Too. He's a Free will agent and of legal Age, to make this Decision, oppose to being an infant, with no Choice.

But he was more GAURDED about his CURRENT PLANSwith regard to BAPTISM, calling them "a PRIVATE THING."

I go to church every Sunday and hear things the pastor says that I don't agree with, but that is not enough to make me leave the congregation! Obama's faith is more in tune with evangelicals. McCain for the most part operates agnostically and has consistently criticized evangelicals until he now needs them and wants to claim an automatic republican support base.

Problem is all issues considered, picking someone who cam out 894th out of 899 in his graduating class is picking from the basest intellectually and as we have seen flaws and all a smart president makes a difference on our lives and economy (Clinton - Rhodes scholar) and this is the biggest challenge now. As Clinton said "he's as smart as a whip" and I believe he will get the policies together that will move us in the right direction away from this cut tax on rich, trickle down economics that has again been proved a failure the past 8 years. And security wise, this guy is not weak and has gotten a lot of *** strategic issues right (his withdrawal timtable, accepted by all, McCain says "pretty good timetable", Afghanistan more troops needed, lets get the real terrorists, all agree, talkt to Iran be4 next step, everyone agrees). I will look at abortion and gun issues next time, thank you. Now my pocket, house, kids are the main concern. I mean how low can we go.

Please give me some articles and books on McCain's faith. Media spends lot of time trying to pick apart Obama's views on religion. I would like them to pick apart McCain too. McCain supporters cry about having equal press then let's get some insight into McCain. If it's about answering a question, then Obama is christian like me. So get over it.
