A fantastic freestyle finish highlights day three of the Beijing games

Day three saw world records falling like dominoes in the Water Cube, but no race could match the Men's 4 x 100m freestyle relay for drama.  Michael Phelps led off the race and Jason Lezak brought home the gold, coming from behind in the anchor leg for a thrilling finish.  Put simply, NEWSWEEK photographer Donald Miralle called it "one of the most exciting swimming races I've witnessed."  Today's gallery features this and more of the spectrum of the Beijing games.
