If you don't like MSM, I have a few suggestions that may be worth investigating :-).

Obama is the MSM darling for the moment, but that can change too in a flash.

Shut off the internet, turn off the television, turn off the radio, do not read any newspapers. Instead, so you won't have any propaganda from any outside sources, go read some books, and enjoy life without the MSM. Batman is still playing, if you can afford to go to the movies.

That was sound advice, and I am dolling it out for free. Anyone has MSM blues I implore you to do what I said. Now I feel better, I am going to read a book on how to cope with MSM. Any takers? LOL

Alter toss out the words "Greek drama" I don't see how Hillary shooting herself in the foot makes it better for the Clintons. So there is my two cents with MSM.

You know what I find hilarious? The amount of jealousy in this election. McCain and Clinton are seething with jealousy that they can't be the stars. It's like being jealous of the popular kid in school that has it all. It's quite childish, really. McCain resorts to high-school insults and empty rhetoric now that his previous campaign commercials were proven to be full of misleading and blatantly false info.

      seething with jealousy??

    • Posted By: olderwiser @ 08/08/2008 12:11:03 PM

summer4077, I am convinced that the majority of the posts which purport to be Hillary supporters are really Mc Cain supporters trying to foment emotional torment in an effort to erode Obama's vote count. Sort of like Rush Limbaugh urging voters to go to the polls and vote for Hillary in some of the primaries to cut into Obama's lead.

You might be correct, is it still operation chaos?

      • Posted By: AskPlus @ 08/08/2008 1:39:07 PM

You can't help but wonder. Most of these bloggers use the same words, tactics and hearsay for division. It's like How-to-Demean 101.

      • Posted By: summer4077 @ 08/08/2008 1:16:55 PM

It's kind of sad, really, that so many people scramble to hold on to antiquated, ineffective people like McCain. Some people are terrified of change, which is exactly why they reject Obama.

    I have a solution.
Sen. Stevens was indicted for taking in kind kickbacks.
Clinton voted for the Iraq War, and campaigned to extend the US security umbrella to the UAE while she & her husband received millions from a partnership (Yucaipa) with the Emir of Dubai and reported this as ">$1,000" on her disclosure forms.
The discrepancy between Clinton's tax returns & the disclosure forms has been obvious since April.
Surely with all the law school summer interns out there to do the grunt work some US attorney can get her indicted before the convention.
It would be a great servce to the country and the people of NY State.
We would be rid of the Walmart Evita once & for all and maybe some women who had qualifications to lead other than being married to Bill Clinton could come to the fore.

yet another ignorant poster. do realize how ridiculous barry supporters continue to look? it's absolutely riotous. Sen Clinton was on the Wal-Mart board from 1986-1992...16 years ago. Michelle was on the board of Tree Foods a major supplier of WALMART from 2005-07...one year ago. She quit EIGHT DAYS AFTER barry said he: "He won't shop there." That was May 22, 2007 when barry was already running for president. Coincidence? Not.

And at that same debate, Clinton said Barry had connections with slum landlord, Tony Rezko. And guess what? Clinton was ABSOLUTELY right. Rezko was subsequently tried and convicted on 16 counts and is due to be sentenced on September 3rd. He faces $4M in fines and could spend the rest of his life in prison. And he has yet to be tried for fraud and gambling debts in Nevada.

Do you know Rezko? He was Barry's first and most prodigious fundraiser. Rezko was a campaign advisor on barry's 2004 senate race. He raised $250K for barry--which barry lied about until forced to answer on 3-14-08. $159K he "donated to charity". Barry and Michelle bought adjoining lots with Tony & Rita Rezko in June 2005, when Rezko was known to be under federal investigation. Barry said it was a "boneheaded mistake". Judgment on Iraq? Judgment of any sort? Barry's known Rezko for 20 years...like wright...and when found out...barry said they weren't the men he knew. 20 YEARS of bad judgment?

And only a completely ignorant barrybot would use the fairy tale argument of voting for Iraq. barry had no say...no vote...no consequence and when he had a vote? he voted the same as Clinton. Keep these ignorant posts up. All you are doing is inciting Clinton supporters and continuing to reveal how uninformed barry supporters are. it's hysterical. And it also gives the world a grat view of barry's above the fray filled with integrity supporters.

they are never ever ever going to get that you can't out logic facts. impossible. And what facts have they of Obama? The don't realize the more crap they write -- the more chances for Clinton fans to remain angry -- and the more facts and links and discrepancies for the Republicans to read. The madness of Obama supporters I don't understand. Especially bringing up Iraq. Mention that and then mention Obama won't admit he was wrong about the Surge. Recall how he (and MSM) went after Clinton because of her Iraq vote? All it does is to continue to draw attention to his poor judgment. And finally, if they want Obama to win--and he will need all 18M Clinton supporters to do that--why do they keep antagonizing them? Besides what kind of ambassador for Obama are they with their childish personal attacks on the opponent/poster? It's not working. Hello. Check the polls. HIs camp was expecting at least a 10-point bump and expected to be up by 20 at the Convention. 48% of Americans have already had too much of Obama and he's not even been crowned.

You use the word 'coronate' to describe the 'crowning' of the Democratic presidential nominee. I see no such word in the dictionary. Why not use the simple 'crown'?

    • Posted By: Right is RIGHT!!! @ 08/09/2008 11:32:44 AM

Verb 1. coronate - invest with regal power; enthrone; "The prince was crowned in Westminster Abbey"
      crown
enthrone, vest, invest - provide with power and authority; "They vested the council with special rights"

    BERLIN BOUNCE=BARRY'S BUST.....

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Saturday shows that the race for the White House is tied???Barack Obama and John McCain each attract 44% of the vote. When "leaners" are included, it???s McCain 47% and Obama 46%. With leaners, the candidates have been within one point of each other for nine straight days.

Once Hussein channels Adolph's spirit, in Denver, the election will be decided....McCain in a landslide.

    NOBAMA!!!

Alter is just one reason why the MSM has no credibility. Look how they kept the Edwards affair off the radar screen for over a year. Now they are Pimping a Zero who spent his entire Adult life in a Racist, Anti-American, Hate-Mongering Church. Why did ABC News get shut out of the Debates? Because they dare ask Obama real questions at their debate about his associates, who he admits, he got his belief system from. If obama was white he would haven eliminated with Mike Gravel.

    was white

No, the more interesting dance that will come after next January is the one between Republican John MCain and Nancy Pelosi's super liberal, Democratic Congress. After all, history has shown that the American people don't want a Democratic controlled Congress and a Democratic President. There would be NO checks and balances on a Pelosi Congress if Obama's in White House and Americans know it (along with everything else they know about this guy). John MCain will be the 44th President of the United States.

    • Posted By: raddave @ 08/09/2008 5:20:32 AM

That is not true, the 103rd congress under Bill Clinton, the democrats had the majority in both houses. the 95th and 96th congress had democratic majorites under Jimmy Carter.

  • Posted By: raddave @ 08/09/2008 5:01:03 AM

If Hillary wants to put her name up for the nomination, that is fine with me. She worked hard during the primaries and her supporters do deserve to be heard. Besides it might acutally make the convention more interesting. If something happened and she actually came out of the convention as the nominee (I doubt it would happen). I would support her as much as I support Obama.

  • Posted By: lithium451 @ 08/09/2008 2:22:19 AM

The best outcome for Democrats is to win big in the Senate and Congress and try again for the presidency with a more seasoned candidate in 2012.

With a divided government the congress can just focus on the most important progressive issues and not pass a bunch of overboard legislation that is likely to create a rightward backlash of about the same strength as the one that put the current band of bozos in office.

Besides McCain is not as ignorant or idealogical as he's pretending to be.

The most visible scar on Obama's skin is his long-term relationship with Wright and other radical groups. If Bill Clinton can dissolve that scar on behalf of Obama, it would be a genuine sign of forgiveness. I do not believe that the Clintons can pat Obama on the back and urinate down his leg at the same time.

Hillary Clinton got more primary votes than any other Democratic candidate in history, and the Obama camp wants to deny her and her supporters the normal and traditional process of having a runner up with a significant showing having his name put in nomination and a roll call of his delegates.

Every week, Obama engages in another spectacle that shows everyone what a narcissistic, freak he is. He isn't a leader, but a freshman senator with a God Complex. His hubris will lose the election.

At this point, he's shown how unlimited and self-focused his universe is. Even if he picks Hillary Clinton as his VP because he's sliding in the polls, I don't think he should be elected.

He's sliding in the polls because awareness is spreading that this isn't a leader. Obama's an eloquent but crazy black man spewing fake rhetoric about inclusiveness and elevating people, who instead is an unbridled example of narcissistic personality disorder. Obama shouldn't get elected under any circumstances, Clinton on the ballot or not.

Not a bad article. But hasn't Bush The Butcher of Bagdad really made the American taxpayer look more like a trillion-dollar ham buffet in his last 8 ingominious years in the White House? This clown's presidency destoryed American goodwill abroad and has singlehandedly produced 4 million Iraqi refugees, half of them internally displaced, with hundreds of thousands of women and cildren roaming the streets for food and safety! Many of these women are working in "entertainment clubs" in Syria providing sexual services to fat Arab princes to feed their families! While Bush does the Watusi with the overfed Saudis and multiplies his Hailiburton dividends! Shouldn't Jonathan be altering somewhat his nonsensical antipathy toward Bill Clinton whom he calls the ham for Bush's sandwich? Hell, then that makes Georgie W. a real cannibal, don't it, boys?

As for Obama Nation citizens, they seem quit content with having The Hopey-Changey senator from the political sewers of Chicago reign supreme in his misogynistic Ludacris and Jay-Z rapper-wannabe tastes. Periodically, Barack feels down and launches attacks against those perceived enemies---mostly women he feels threatened by--by "flip-offing" them on stage in cool, juvenile fashion. Watched "Obama gives Hillary the F!nger" - the at mega hit on youtube?! Amazing that this camouflaged-in-cool Sexist has gotten away with this crap with an able assist, of course, from the misogynist media frat-boys antics that pushed him to a fraudulent finish-line.

Ah well, Jonathan is right on this point. That a catharsis will follow the Greek (ex)Democratic Convention this month. But of course, if you see the 18 million cracks on the DNC ceiling bringing it down, don't be too surprised. Everybody will be so fed up with Barack's Britney Moment that this will itself provide some much-needed ex-lax for the Dean-Reid-Pelosi 20-something fans....And again, the Pumas' roar may be heard enough to puncture Barack's delicate telempropter-inspired eardrums.

Everytime I hear a Hillary supporter making the case that putting her name in nomination is not a rarity becasue others such as Gary Hart, Jerry Brown, Ted Kennedy, etc did and the party survived...I want to lose my lunch! They also don't mention that when that happened, it disrupted the DNC so much the actual candidate lost the election. It's self-serving at it's best. Putting Hillary's name in nomination is not about her supporters, it's about her ego.

And if the media wasn't trying to sell newspapers or get higher ratings, they would have told the truth about the primaries....which was....Hillary didn't have a chance of winning the nomination after March 4th. But, hey, it was a good story, it created a lot of drama and it excited the Dem base, and moderate Republicans.

But, come on this is crazy! I ask Hillary supporters....do you think Barack Obama would still be making trouble for Hillary if he had lost. The party would be up in arms for the guy. In fact, the DNC would pull a Rev. Wright response and tell Barack to sit in a corner somewhere...and shut up!

    • Posted By: sjpersonal @ 08/08/2008 3:16:04 PM

      Hi Cynthia,

      I agree with your post with the exception of the following paragraph;

And if the media wasn't trying to sell newspapers or get higher ratings, they would have told the truth about the primaries....which was....Hillary didn't have a chance of winning the nomination after March 4th. But, hey, it was a good story, it created a lot of drama and it excited the Dem base, and moderate Republicans

      Everyone new that after that time that Clinton's chance of winning was almost nil. CNN & MSNBC kept reporting this fact. They were always discussing this fact and questioning her reasons for not conceding when she knew as did everyone else that it was a lost cause. MSNBC has since reported that those involved in her campaign have admitted that she did not have a Plan B as they were absolutely positive that she would just walk over Obama and therefore had absolutely nothing to worry about. The dem party is in this mess because of the Clinton ego and because of Clinton supporters such as this one who posted above;

Comment: Stop using Hillary to generate interest on Obama now that Obama is losing the polls.
We Hillary Loyalists would never vote for him. NEVER. See the difference? Once you get to know Hillary, you actually like her for being so strong and you stay with her. The only people who hates her or campaigns about hating her is the Republican mean machine and the African Americans who is sooo racists that they would never vote for a white person, if an incompetent African is on the table
