    Thank you Bob L.! I believe you will discover that not only Inflation Measures, but Unemployment and various Money Measures have gone through similar "improvements". I discovered this last year when I had to do projections based on constand dollars from historical dates. The changes are substantial enough that the US Government published metrics are useless in historical comparisons. I tried to bring this up to a MSN Business Editor as an important area for public education. I was shot down with the statement that they "report the published news" and if people are to interpret the news, they must do their own research.

    It is surprising that Germany is not doing good among other industrialzed countries. Why ? Can anyone explain in layman's language?

    is this what we get out of the world economy?I've been to Mexico,is this our future?it looks like it from whereI'm standing,thanks for nothing I'd like to have my job back,viva America the one I use to live in.
