I have always been a John McCain fan. Last year I make the statement that Mccain and leverman were the two most trusted men. in our goverment. But this election goes to show just how low someone will go to be elected. John mCCain has sold his sole to the big moines. I guess the small people have ony one hope. Jim Webb of Va.

"We need a president who sees government not as a tool to enrich well-connected friends and high-priced lobbyists, but as the defender of fairness and opportunity for every American," Obama said in his June speech. "That's the kind of president I intend to be." But his actions do not conform with his words. Only one other 2008 presidential hopeful has introduced more tariff suspension bills than Obama. Longshot GOP candidate Sen. Sam Brownback, Kan., introduced 30 such measures in the 109th Congress. Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz. has introduced none.

Records show that one-third of Obama's record-breaking haul has come from donations of $1,000 or more: a total of $112 million, more than Senator John McCain. Behind those larger donations is a phalanx of more than 500 Obama "bundlers," fund-raisers who have each collected contributions totaling $50,000 or more. Many of the bundlers come from industries with critical interests in Washington. Nearly three dozen of the bundlers have raised more than $500,000 each, including more than a half-dozen who have passed the $1 million mark and one or two who have exceeded $2 million, according to interviews with fund-raisers.

The care and feeding that top Obama fund-raisers have received underscores their significance to his campaign. Members of his National Finance Committee who fulfill their commitment to raise at least $250,000 are being rewarded with trips to the Democratic National Convention in Denver.

Finance committee members participate in conference calls with top campaign officials every other week. The fund-raisers meet quarterly, often with Mr. Obama dropping in.

Mcstupid and his bimbo wife have never worked for a living. Between them the own anywhere from 7 to 9 homes. Explain to me how they can feel the pain of someone losing the only home they own!!!

    • Posted By: careerdaytrader @ 08/11/2008 3:18:08 PM

Is it McCain's fault you lost your home because you bought too expensive house and one you couldn't afford once the ARM (Adjustable Rate Mortgage) went up? Is it his fault you either didn't educate yourself or picked an industry to work in that was on the way out or down (Manufacturing, home building, etc)?

Personal responsibility you pathetic losers! Stop complaining about your lives, stop wanting Governement to take care of you and start taking care of yourselves.

The richest top 5% pay 50% of the taxes. The top 10% pay 2/3 of taxes. FEW of you on here complaining even pay YOUR fair share. It's people like me who work 60 to 80+ hour weeks, self employed with businesses who create jobs who pay YOUR fair share for you. You're welcome but we refuse to pay even more. STEP UP loser, educate yourself, get another job, stop blaming the current administration for the fact that the economy IS and has ALWAYS been cyclical. Clinton left office with the economy going into a recession and Bush and the Fed did a great job of minimizing it.

      • Posted By: summer4077 @ 08/13/2008 8:46:43 AM

I'm beginning to think you're just a troll, here to get a rise out of people. You have quoted several false beliefs, so either you're nutty or you're just here to antagonize people.
"Bush and the Fed did a great job of minimizing"--SURE they did! What better way to minimize a recession (which, by the way, we were not headed into when Clinton left, but rather a cyclical downturn) than starting two disastrous wars and pumping TRILLIONS into the defense budget--building roads, hospitals, and schools in Iraq and Afghanistan while letting ours crumble? Pure genius! I had never thought of Bush as our savior from recession, but rather the one who drove the stake through our hearts--thank you for enlightening me, oh wise one!

at no point did McCain lie... he just used imagery and didn't provide the whole story. That being said, it is not necessarily the most honorable campaign tactic, but it's not McCain's job to inform people about Obama's plan. And I guarantee you there has been questionable information in Obama ads as well.

On a more seperate point, I'm much more disturbed to discover that he is NOT planning on increasing taxes on these lower income households. In fact, he's going to be lowering them. Think about it for a moment. With all the increases in socialistic programs he is planning on, yet he refuses to raise taxes on the lower and middle classes. Who's going to pay for this? The upper class. And it is going to be a heavy burden on them seeing as 90% (approx.) of the tax revenue in this country comes from the middle class. There is going to be no drive whatsoever for success in this country, because once you achieve that level of income you're going to have a large percentage of it taken away. Obama punishes success, demonizes companies (especially oil companies) for making money. Again, sort of a segway, but the profits of oil companies should be celebrated, not chastied. Oil companies have some of the lowest profit margins in the country (something like 7 cents per dollar spent) and they are treated like thieves, when other sections of the economy earn as high as 70 cents to a dollar for every dollar spent. I'm going to put this very clearly, with Obama the economy is going to crash. Instead of looking forward to progress, Obama wants to make sure that when the economy crashes, we'll be completely ready with bankrupt socialist programs to help us out?

So, yes, McCain didn't sing Obama's praises for him. But ultimately he offers some good points for discussion to show us that Barack Obama is going to be the doom of our counrty.

    • Posted By: summer4077 @ 08/11/2008 9:24:22 AM

Are you serious? The rich in this country have typically paid way less than their fair share in taxes, with all the loopholes and cronieism in the government. The gap between rich and poor is growing, and the middle class is disappearing. Oil companies have underwent several congressional hearings regarding their shady price tactics--this has nothing to do with Obama. Anyone that sympathizes with oil companies at this point in history is truly out of touch with reality.

        Hey MORON,

The top 5% pay 50% of the tax bill. The top 10% pay 2/3! THey not only pay their fair share but they pay YOURS too. As somebody who pays over $100,000 in taxes every year pathetic losers like you totally enrage me!

You think Exxon doesn't pay taxes? You're a total idiot! Go to finance dot yahoo dot com and type in XOM, their stock ticker then go to income statement.

In last quarter they paid 9 BILLION 302 MILLION in taxes you stupid IDIOT!

As a small business owner I guarantee you I will not hire anybody during Obama's term if you people are as dumb as you seem and he somehow gets elected.

          • Posted By: careerdaytrader @ 08/11/2008 4:13:01 PM

Wrong. I wouldn't expect the average Obama voter to be intelligent enough to decipher an accounting document. Under the operating income or loss section scroll down 6 lines to Income Tax Expense and its 9 billion 302 million. These numbers are in thousands dummy so add 000 zeros to the end!

Obama, the idiot that he is, thinks Exxon and other corporations are getting HUGE tax breaks. Their net income was 10.89 billion and they paid nearly that much in taxes! Pure BS, I say reduce Exxon's and other companies taxes even more and start taxing the ignorant morons like you to pay YOUR FAIR SHARE. You couldn't afford your fair share and thus its the big corporations and wealth small businesses like me that have to cover you.

You know that other Obama voters are too stupid to go check it themselves. Instead of admitting your a dumb a$$ you claim to be an accountant. Thanks for laugh idiot.

To say that Obama's plans will result in no drive in this country is not being fully informed. Obama's plan mimics Europe's, and for the past ten years their economy has been kicking our collective rear ends. While Europe is reeling from the fall out of OUR ECONOMIC CATASTROPHE, they are still better off than we are. Why? People can be more entrepreneurial because they don't have to worry about if they will have basic health care coverage for themselves and their families. And please spare me the lamenting about how taxed they are. The taxes are providing for their civilization. Compare their health care costs to ours; ttheirs are lower.

      • Posted By: careerdaytrader @ 08/11/2008 3:35:14 PM

        Another IDIOT.

The economies of Europe aren't any better than ours and the unemployment rate is WAY higher. Germany 8%, France close to 10%, Italy 11%, Poland 16%, Spain 14%!!!

So with our current unemployment rate around 5.7% and if it moves to even 7 or 8% we will lose 3 to 8+ MILLION JOBS!!!

Nobody who understands economics and in their SANE MIND would raise taxes during either a recession or economic slowdown! Bama thinks this is a good idea, lets penalize people for hard work and redistribute the wealth.

There will be millions of jobs LOST during Obama's term.

        • Posted By: AskPlus @ 08/12/2008 6:55:28 PM

    • Posted By: badmola @ 08/10/2008 10:05:55 PM

So, you agree with McCain's economy plan that gives Big Oil Companies tax cuts while just last quarter alone, Exxon made millions of dollars in profits. Those profits were made at the expense of regular lower and middle class american family who HAD to fill up their tanks to go to work. McCain and his Republican goonies are looking out for themselves, they don't give a damn about the average american family. Why do you think that as soon as he flip flopped on Off Shore Drilling, his campaign received hundreds of thousand of dollars from those same oil companies. So if you still think his economy plan makes sense, then you must be One of Them; You are not one of US. Also, those socialistic programs you mentioned; we are currently spending millions and millions of dollars a month in a stupid war in Iraq and since those are our hard earned tax dollars, why can't we get some of those monies back through those programs instead of wasting them in an unneccessary war created by Bush and McCain? I think we (the lower and middle class) deserve some relief especially in these financial hardship we're in.

      • Posted By: putoff @ 08/10/2008 10:26:14 PM

Every time I read one of these "poor rich people will have to take care of you good for nothing poor folks", I just get pissed! Can't you get it through your head that rich people don't now and have never paid their fair share for anything. A good example is Social Security. Poor people pay 6.2 percent of their wages (no matter how small). Rich folks do not. But they never give up the socialist checks that are paid by Social Security. John McCain gets his every month. He's a shining example of someone who doesn't want any taxes, but he doesn't decline the Social Security check that comes from payroll taxes. He also doesn't give up the salary he is paid from taxes for doing nothing. The guy has the poorest attendance record in the Senate. He is a lying, dumb old man who needs to go home.

        • Posted By: Bikeman68 @ 08/11/2008 1:10:25 AM

So you are saying that because a person is smart enough to earn a good living he should not be allowed to recoup any of the SS benefits that he was forced to pay in to for the last 45 years? How the hell is that fair?

He paid in to the plan. He should get money out. If you don't like it then vote to end social security. Personally I would prefer it. I would make a lot more money if I could privately invest those funds. Stop acting like other people owe you a living. If you are not happy with your current circumstances then do something about it.

          • Posted By: catspaw @ 08/11/2008 3:38:45 PM

US Government is not apart of SSI program, so the SHOULD NOT BE COLLECTING ANY SSI.

Social Security is a welfare program for the total losers who spend all their money each month, do NOT save, and thus are worthless seniors and a drain on the economy.

Small business owners must pay DOUBLE what you non business owners pay in social security taxes up to $102,000 I believe. That is rediculous as we all know those of us in our 30s are not likely to ever get that money back. It's welfare for the morons out there like you who are too dumb to make anything of yourself. SInce I'm not going to get anything back I not only don't want this tax raised to up to $250,000 like Obama wants to do I want it REDUCED to maybe something reasonable like $50,000.

    • Posted By: Drdike @ 08/10/2008 9:21:58 PM

No sir, I disagree when you say "Obama punishes success, demonizes companies (especially oil companies) for making money. Again, sort of a segway, but the profits of oil companies should be celebrated, not chastied.

The truth is Obama want to penalize fat cat executives like Kenneth Lay, the former Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer and Jeffrey Skilling, former Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer, who went on trial for their part in the Enron scandal in January 2006. The 53-count, 65-page indictment covers a broad range of financial crimes, including bank fraud, making false statements to banks and auditors, securities fraud, wire fraud, money laundering, conspiracy and insider trading.

People like you don't realize what the oil cartel executives like Cheney/Bush/McCain doing to middle income and hard working Americans living paycheck to paycheck. It seems to me you are one of these hero-worshippers. Why should I celebrate companies profit when I know too well that the devil is in the detail. You delude yourself if you don't realize that these company executives live on the back of hard-working employees (Americans)

Under Nixon and Ford, the United States built 100 nuclear power plants and American owned Westinghouse was the world leader in nuclear plant construction. In the last thirty years not a single nuclear power plant has been built in the United States. Today John McCain calls for the rapid expansion of forty-five new nuclear power plants. Obama wants to study the issue for another thirty years.

    • Posted By: Notrepublican @ 08/10/2008 12:28:11 AM

You know why they're hesistant to construct new nuclear power facilities. Because nuclear power leaves behind waste which damages the environment. They know nuclear power won't be the answer to all our energy needs in the long run. They're looking ahead, at renewable energy resources that don't damage the environment and can be used throughout the future. But you're right, Mccain's call for nuclear power plants is much better than Obama's call for windmills, thermal power plants, and solar energy plants. I mean, it's not like the environment matters right?

      • Posted By: Posta are hilarious @ 08/10/2008 6:58:03 PM

Exactly why haven't there been nuclear plants constructed in the last thirty years! Anyone remember three mile island? A little bit of research would cut ridiculous post like "Let's build a bunch of nuclear plants and that will solve our problems" posts. We need to be Environmental Safe, please. Try to include that in your rhetoric, mccainsupporter.

People should also research the cost of cleaning up the waste of leaking barrels. Rocky Flats in Golden Colorado is a good example, also the effects of the leaking waste on the eviroment and the people who lived around Rocky Flats w/n 20 miles.

To me, this article seems deceptive. First, it is claimed that Obama's tax plan will not raise taxes on middle income families with income under $200,000. Then it represents that a single mother will not be affected that earns less than $58,650. This implies that one who earns more than this would see a tax increase. After all, if that single mother's tax were affected downward, it would have been trumpeted by this author. So which is it? Taxes increase after $200,000 or $58,650.
What seems clear is that Obama and Pelosi want to raise taxes. When they start paying for my children to go to college they can have my money. Until then, I don't care what kind of ads it takes to stop these people from dreaming up new programs to steal my money and my children's future and earnings.

    • Posted By: catspaw @ 08/11/2008 2:12:30 PM

The tax increase of income of $58,650 was on a tax plan proposed by the GOP and voted on in the 2004 session NOT his present tax plan the increase tax of Individual making $200,000 or more, or families of $250,000.

    • Posted By: mrzoid @ 08/09/2008 5:33:25 PM

Is the GOP paying for your kids college? You think McCain isnt going to have to raise taxes? he wont want to, but he will if he gets elected. Did your taxes go up under GHW Bush? Yes. Why is it that so many Americans refer to taxes as stealing our money? The taxes pay for things we depend on. If you want to live like a hernit in Montana, with well water, septic tank, and dirt roads you made, than god bless you. If you want to live in society, than shut the hell up!

      • Posted By: Sonny M. @ 08/09/2008 5:56:38 PM

True, the government needs money for essential services. But is has no right to take my money under threat of jail for non essential services. Nor should it have the right to pass things like prevailing wage laws to insure that taxpayer funded projects cost the absolute maximum. After all, are union members who benefit from this required to buy American made cars to support their fellow countrymen?

No, the GOP does not pay for college, nor do I want other to do so. I just don't want to pay for other people's obligations unless they are going to come help me do my work during my 14 hour days. To me, it's not a GOP or Dem thing. I'd vote for a Zell Miller anyday. But other than platitudes about change and hope, I don't know what the hell Obama has to say about anything. I'd like to see the reaction if Hollywood millionairs were forced to turn over all their earnings over say $2,000,000 a year. They'd be screaming bloody murder. But they have no problem advocating taking more of my $100,000 a years.

        • Posted By: mrzoid @ 08/09/2008 6:27:43 PM

True, but regardless of who you vote for in this election, they are going to raise your taxes. Non-essential services are subjective, many things won't benefit us personally, but you have to take the good with the bad. Was the Iraq war an essential service? Which ever side an American stands on the issue, it must be paid for out of our tax dollars eventually. I'm not saying the systems perfect, or even decent, but its the system we have. I could use more money in my paycheck, but at some point you just have to do the best with what you have, and accept it as a pretty good situation in the grand scheme of things. I apologize about the tone of my past posting, i didnt intend to be so harsh.

  • Posted By: mccainsupporter @ 08/09/2008 2:59:36 PM

The comments of John McCain about Obama tax proposals are not misplaced. Democrats have traditionally supported higher taxes for Americans and businesses. The effect of those taxes has been to put American companies out of business and drive them into bankruptcy. It is no accident that the American jewell Arco oil company is now owned by British Petroleum Company based in London. At one time American owned Arco Oil Company discovered and developed the Alaskan North Slope. Arco which owned 80 percent of our Alaska Oil Reserves was bought out by British Petroleum Corporation at the end of the Bill Clinton???s second administration due to the hostile Democratic attitude toward energy companies with demands for higher tax rates. It is no accident that the largest US builder of nuclear power plants, Westinghouse Nuclear Power Construction Division was bought out by Toshiba Corporation of Japan. Thanks to Democratic led energy and tax policies, now General Electric is the only US owned builder of nuclear power plants.

While 80 percent of France???s electricity is generated by nuclear power, only twenty percent in the US is generated due to the successful efforts of Democratic party to kill the US nuclear power industry. Significantly, nuclear power is not considered a mainstay of Democratic plans to address our energy crisis.

There is also a worldwide shortage and backlog of orders for oil drilling platforms and oil drilling ships but US shipyards are not building these ships. Only one percent of the world commercial ships are built in US shipyards. Hold your breath for the Democratic outcry and push for government help to US ship builders to build oil drilling ships in the US.

Do you have any kind of public policy education? economics education? political science education?
If your assesment rang true, then we would never see any economic expansion under a democratic president, and periods of extensive growth under republican presidents. Do you have any thing that can show those trends? No. The simple fact is that people like you want to ignore what taxes are. The majority of taxes go towards defense spending, which increases during terms of hawkish presidents (mainly republican). Education and domestic infrastructure are also funded through taxes; would you have prefered to pay for your garde school education? Would you prefer to have no roads, no bridges? For that matter, would you prefer there to be no police? Law enforcement is publicly funded. Wars have typically been financed through increases in taxes. In fact, this is the first time in American history that a war has occured dhile taxes were correspondingly cut; hows are economy doing right now? Perhaps you should reflect on what our country needs right now and realize that it needs to pay down our debt, and there is only one way to do that, tax revenue coming in.

      • Posted By: bluedotinaredstate @ 08/10/2008 8:50:02 AM

        @mccainsupporter:

While you repeatedly espouse the argument that the United States should be using more nuclear power because "80% of France's electricity is generated by Nuclear power," you neglect to consider several important factors. France is a country with roughly the population of Texas and California, occupying less square mileage than Texas. Providing nuclear energy to a smaller area with a higher population density requires fewer power plants, and when operated efficiently, generates less nuclear waste than is achievable when the coverage area and population density are reversed (less population in a larger coverage area). Simply put, the United States requires more power plants to generate electricity because our population is spread out over a much larger land mass. Even long distance transmission through the use of transformers can't eliminate the need for additional power plants. Additional plants, in turn, produces more nuclear waste.

Also, it's important to note that while the percentages sound good and all, in 2007 the United States generated the most kilowatt hours (kWh) from nuclear power of any country in the world at over 800 billion, nearly doubling the amount generated by the country that came in second (http://www.nei.org/resourcesandstats/documentlibrary/reliableandaffordableenergy/graphicsandcharts/top10nucleargeneratingcountries/). Oh, and that country was France. Perhaps you should learn something about the actual needs of power distribution in the United States and practical application of providing energy to fulfill those needs before you commit yourself to the idea that nuclear is the best answer.

I'm not saying there is no place for nuclear power in a balanced energy plan. But your statistics about how the US uses nuclear energy in comparison to other countries show that you have not thoroughly researched the issue and lack a comprehensive understanding. Fortunately, I feel safe assuming that you are not likely to be placed in a position of any authority when it comes to actually implementing energy policy for the United States.

Look up the cost to clean up Rocky Flats in Golden Colorado of all the Nuclear Waste stored there. Also double check the cancer rates w/n a 20 radius compared to the rest of Colorado.

If you are asking why, I grew up 2 miles from Rocky Flats, and over 60% of my neighbors died of cancer.

Repeat a lie more often and it will become the truth. This has been a Republican agenda towards John Kerry and now its Obama's turn. Its funny how McCain approves Obama's inability on the economy when McCain himself does'nt have a clue about economicdecisions. Offshore drilling? What a joke. America will forever lean on the middle east Oil unless it chooses alternative. McCain cant even use the internet.

  • Posted By: RO in Reno @ 08/11/2008 12:39:04 PM

The fact is the Republicans cannot tell the truth. Simply because their agenda is not in the best interests of the greater number of Americans, never has been and never will be.
The only way these people can get elected is to lie and convince enough people those lies are somehow true.
McCain may have been the "maverick" once but hes bought into the republican agenda to get much needed help from the Bush camp.
The prime example of how effective they are is the fact 30% of people in this country still believe Iraq was responsible for 9/11.
The failure is the fault of the voters to find the truth which can usually be found on the front page of most major news papers, they skip that part on the way to the comics and crossword puzzle and ultimatly vote against their best interests.

9-for-9 in fact check is our Mr. McCain. I wonder if he will win with a 100 percent smear campaign. It seem the amount of people he's baiting neither increases nor decreases.

  • Posted By: James2008 @ 08/11/2008 5:44:50 AM

It's ironic and sad how McCain has been running such a disfonest campaign. I really hope that the American people see through his lies and distraction. I'm certainly sick of his ads already.
One of the most annoying points he makes is that Obama is an elitist. Really? McCain lives in a ranch and he and his wife are multi millioniares. They go around in private jet often enough. This is a clear worse case of the pot calling the kettle black. What an old fool he has become. I used to respect that guy.

What's really sad is that many Americans who see those ads see them as truth and don't realize how much McCain is misleading them. McCain's staff has acknowledged the discrepancies in the ads, yet has said they will continue to run them. Blatant lies...smacks of the current administration, yet McCain's supporters are quick to say he's NOT like Bush. Hmmm.

It pains me to have to say this since I always liked John Mccain. However, he has become the lowliest of his profession: a hardened LIAR.
I sure hope the American people are smart enough to not vote for another liar. The last one was George W. Bush and look what a mess that got us into.

McCain's misrepresentation of the facts, just proves that McCain is not the honorable and honest man he has tried to lead us Americans into thinking. An honorable and honest man would display intregirty and a fortified character. All I see from the Republican presumptive nominee is a bunch of lies and distortions.

Now, really America, is this what is needed in the WH; I ask you? Do we truly want to spent an additonal four years being deceived and tricked into acceptance of dubious policies and mis-informaion? Doesn't it matter to us anymore if those holding the hightest political office in the world, are honest with intregrity that is solid?

From some of the McCain supporter's posts, I have come to the conclusion that they are extremely oblivious to McCain's obvious senility and dementia. With him in the oval office we would be the laughing stock of the entire world. Mainly because they are blinded by party affiliation and sympathies. They don't hold the same racial animosities that a lot in this country have. And frankly it is and will be to our futher shame if this confused, dishonest and-by his own admission- cowardly man is elected as our next president. Don't let your hatred guide your decision in choosing our next president. I personally know some who admit their bigotry that will vote Obama, because in McCain they see the same kind of administration as in Dubya. If you don't believe me, just look who McCain has surrounded himself with on his campaign staff. It smacks of George Bush

Don't be bullet-heads, lets clean house then maybe we might be able to salvage our great Democracy, just maybe......

It's refreshing to see a corporate media source printing truth, using factcheck.org as a reference.

"The FCC should hold the networks responsible for running false ads." Maybe the new Democratic President and Congress will get that ball rolling. This deceptive campaign practice has got to end!

Don't TV Networks have some responsibility to refuse to run false ads? If they don't, they should!

    • Posted By: badmola @ 08/10/2008 10:43:27 PM

      Putoff,
I agree with you. The FCC should hold the Networks responsible for running false ads. That's being an accomplice of willfully lying to the public and it shows a lack of integrity in the media. Then again, there are those networks that have special interests in a certain candidate and are willing to turn a blind eye on those ads and run them anyway. I think Congress and/or the FCC should pass a law regarding false advertisings in an election. A lot of people are depending on regular local TV stations for information about a candidate to form an educated opinion of that candidate. I think if the public have truthful information about a candidate, our country would have been in a totally better path from the last 8 years. If those stations are willfully running false advertisings on a particular candidate from his opponent, then these stations are as guilty as the culprit because they are the mouthpiece of spreading the lies. Those stations should be fined.

The trade secret of GOP, LIE TO AMERICAN PEOPLE, LIE TO AMERICAN PEOPLE, LIE TO AMERICAN PEOPLE UNTIL THEY ARE CONFUSED and UNDECIDED, CONTINUE TO LIE UNTIL THEY GO TO WAR WITH YOU. FINALLY, GIVE THEM A LOT OF FEAR UNTIL THEY CAN"T THINK ANYMORE,

  • Posted By: brianiwakiri @ 08/10/2008 9:53:44 PM

George W. Bush lied. Reagan lied. Nixon lied and now John McCain is lying. We all now the playbook the question is, can we beat it? Who are you going to tell? How are you going to convince them? How are you going to convince to register and actually follow through on election day?

It's not enough to be right anymore. We are fighting in a marketplace that rewards power. Their power is in the institution and it is concentrated. Our power is in numbers and it will take a lot of work to mobilize. Please get involved so we can move forward.

thanks you for this article. i'm getting to sick of McCain's false campaigning. Unfortunately, I would say most of this country is ignorant of the realities and giving McCain's campaign an opportunity to exploit that. I say 1. McCain needs to add some candor into his campaign. 2. The American people need to wake up and take more responsibility for the future of their country by keeping up with its political future and its accompanying economic prospects.

The once vaunted "maverick" has now become just another political who will tell lie after lie to get elected. MCain and his Bush/Rove campaign lackeys know that the tight popular vote polls are meaningless. Their concern is for electoral votes. The latest Rasmussen Reports Balance of Power Calculator currently shows now Obama leading in states with 210 Electoral College votes while McCain leads in states with 165 votes. When leaners are
included, it???s Obama 273, McCain 227. That's why the McCain slime experts
have to get deeper and eeper into the gutter.

I absolutely agree with your point. In fact the kitchen sink tactics is actually GOP trade mark, the innovation of Karl Rove, high school graduate who originated it from Nixon administration playbook
