"I knew what they were thinking: the guy is flawed (as are we all), but what a once-in-a-generation talent. Obama sure could use him." How bizarre and pointless that you only now recognize this? The Clintons should stay away from Obama. I hope they do.

    "Presidential" sorry for the misspell.

If it were not the Clintons, Obama will be no where in the politics. Bill Clinton inspired the black America like no other president. Bill Clinton empowered the nation and the poor blacks in particular more than any leader at anytime. He moved this country forward, kept it in peace and prosperous, employed more blacks than any president in history so why can't Obama in his dubious arrogance see all that and quit insulting the man. Obama is exhibiting every charaterics that we saw in Bush before and after his selection in 2000. This nation is in for another wild ride is this amature novice ever smell the corridors of power.

Obama himself has aknowledge Bill Clinton enormous contribution to the african american community. It's his entourage that has a problem with the Clintons. Many of them, including some african american, were disappointed with the supposedly "first african american president" and his wife toward their "fellow african american" presidential candidate during the primaries. I have no doubt they will reunite to fight their prime ennemies, the vast right wing conspirators. Effort has tobe done from both side or they will be both politically doomed.

One, that would be the point. to smooth things out. It said that right in the article. Two, so the only way of punishing the DNC and media is to vote for Mccain, and if he gets elected, punish yourself. I just, I just don't see how that makes any sense. So I'll punish the DNC and media by voting for Mccain and if he doesn't win I'll be happy? Yeah, still doesn't make sense

Bill Clinton oozes with charisma, Obama oozes Chicago politics, perennial leadership goofs and a penchant for insincereity. Obama turns away from Hillary's 18 million voters and tries to seek additional voters. Not going to happen and the Democrats have a flawed candidate. Without the Clintons the Democrats are biting the hand that feeds them.

    • Posted By: what? @ 08/09/2008 9:27:25 PM

doesn't matter. obama wins...he did it without them...he loses...it's the Clinton's fault...and those bitter racists...and those frigid feminists crying sexism and misogyny...and those white folks who have never set foot in a black church. (revs wright, meeks and manning are a good reason not to and....and.....and...

      • Posted By: cobalt6 @ 08/09/2008 10:25:36 PM

WHAT@: It will not be the Clinton's fault if Obama looses. It is the DNC fault they choose the wrong candidate!! Hillary supporters are not racists !! After seeing what goes on in Rev. Wright's church, why would any real american want to go there! Get real!

        • Posted By: cult followers @ 08/09/2008 11:43:59 PM

cobalt6: he was being flippant. reread it. and, truly, if obama loses do you think they won't find a way to pin it on the Clintons?

          • Posted By: cobalt6 @ 08/09/2008 11:48:16 PM

They will try to blame Hillary no matter what. It's not like the DNC will admit they picked the wrong candidate again!

            • Posted By: cult followers @ 08/10/2008 12:01:28 AM

"picked" is correct. why else did SC have an early primary?

  • Posted By: MXYZPTLK @ 08/09/2008 5:58:26 PM

I know the Clintons must "play the game" by pretending to support Obama, and yet after all of the dirty tricks, race cards, and deception by him, I wouldn't blame them if their effort was a little half-hearted. As a strong Hillary supporter and lifelong Democrat, I know you couldn't pay me to vote for the inexperienced, deceptive, arrogant, divisive, race card throwing, black liberation theology believing Obama.

especially one who waited a month to call the only living two-term Democratic President (and who has no problem dealing with the now-neutered by Sen Clinton pink-faced presidential quitters and failures.) and then waited till his hand was forced to give Mr Clinton time. Why does the DNC think loyal Democrats, who voted President Clinton into office, would tolerate such disrespectful and dismissive behavior? And they blame the polls on cllphones?

      • Posted By: cult followers @ 08/09/2008 11:54:20 PM

hysterical! "dealing with the now-neutered by Sen Clinton pink-faced presidential quitters and failures." if not for them, there would be no Bush.

Since Alter is a Olbermann hack on MSNBC I ignore everything he says. I've yet to hear him give an unbiased opinion about the Clintons or McCain for that matter.

    • Posted By: Fight4USA8 @ 08/09/2008 9:42:22 PM

I don't think you have ever watched, or you are confusing him with FOX News individuals, because Keith Olbermann of MSNBC is the most honest, intelligent, knowledgeable and above all the most unbiased individual in the MSM or any other profession.

The Clintons are lucky that Obama is the "New Politician," because he gave them more than they deserve. If he was a regular politician he would have put them in their deserved place "under the bus."

....Obama does not need the old politics, that is why HRC lost.

....Even McCain's would be VP recently said the republican party should have Obama's temperament.

....I don't know where she got these 18million voters, we should have a re-count of the votes so she will stop talking about this nonsense.

    The Clintons should apologize:
....To the Democratic Party & Obama for playing dirty politics and trying to destroy the party.

...To all the future female presidents, for spoiling it for them, she did not shattered the glass ceiling instead her lies and manors put a barracked instead.

...For what the Clintons are doing now, BC hidden messages and HC (asking PUMA "what a name" to put her name on the nomination list at the convention, " I cannot do it but you can")

...For McCain having a field day on U-Tub coping what the Clintons said during the primary about Obama.

The list goes on.......I will be surprised if she would be re-elected as a senator leave alone president, of course she will always have PUMA.

Obama puts everyone under the bus! If he is elected will he put all americans under the bus?

You are right we should have a recount or better yet lets have a revote! I think alot of people who who voted for Obama would now change their vote to Hillary!

The DNC is responsible for destroying the democratic party, Not the Clinton's

      NOBAMA!!

    • Posted By: Fight4USA8 @ 08/09/2008 9:25:07 PM

Mark my word, HRC will be the most hated senator in congress, just like Joe Liberman, and the $115,000 donation is not going to help him.

      • Posted By: Edbanksusa @ 08/09/2008 10:40:03 PM

Your opinion has neither basis in fact nor commonsense. It is devoid of any logic and should not have come out of a mind of a grown up. On what ground will anyone compare Hillary to a sellout like Lieberman? Has lieberman ever won 18 million voted in his life? Lieberman will be denied of all chairmanship when the next congress convens in January, so where lies the man's clout. Hillary and Bill are the heart and soul of the democratic party, get it into your head and quit insulting them. Without them education department could have been abolished by Newt Gingrich. Without the clintons, healthcare could have been privatized along with "contract of america". without Bill Clinton affirmative action could have been history with racist policies of the GOP. So why not give the man the respect due to him. Obama is intimidated by the giant in Bill Clinton. Obama is a very insecure man is threatened by the Clintons infinite accomplishments, so let the truth be said. Obama is afraid of the clinton, he can never mearsure up, period.

"He may be reluctant to admit it" if only you and the media did not crown him the spottless and holy messiah. Now that his head is bloated and his ego as huge as grand cayin, who will now make Obama admit how desperate he need the clintons? The emperor has been set on the pedestal, who will tell Obama he has no clothes? Hillary and Bill are the heart and soul of the democratic party, get it into your head and quit insulting them. Without them education department could have been abolished by Newt Gingrich. Without the clintons, healthcare and social security could have been privatized along with "contract of america". without Bill Clinton affirmative action could have been history with racist policies of the GOP. So why not give the man the respect due to him. Obama is intimidated by the giant in Bill Clinton. Obama is a very insecure man is threatened by the Clintons infinite accomplishments, so let the truth be said. Obama is afraid of the Clintons, he can never mearsure up, period. We will no longer let any insult on the clintons go unanawered. Enough is enough. The man is the best we have ever had in the oval office.

The Clintons blow away the Obamas, intellectually and pragmatically. The best reason for Obama to take Clinton as VP was always how brilliant and experienced and pragmatic the Clintons are, and how Obama would need them if he tried to bumble his way incompetently through the presidency. IMO the Clintons should stay away from the egotisticaly, under-qualified jerk (Obama). Let him fall on his face.

Obama don't need the Clintons! He needs the DNC members of the Congress to get THEIR approval numbers up (and by encouraging them to drop the DNC's Americans Suck First campaign that has brought the approval of the Congress below that approval of President Bush!).
Neither Clinton can do that for him. They are too incompetent. And if it don't get done, McCain will walk--not run--to take the White House., For those who want this election to be a referendum on how "bad" Bush was compared to Clinton, it is way too late and Clinton is still stuck with his impeachment, and inattention to duty. Bush's approval is generally twice as high as the Congresses' in any case.
The DNC campaign of Americans Suck First was embraced by both Clintons and being composed of several discrimination campaigns targeting Americans with lies, his claim he isn't a racist is questionable to laughable.
If there's anything Clinton taught us is he'll say anything no matter what the meaning of "is' is!

hmm...you are so well-informed with facts. what a lovely ambassador for obama you are. PUBS? and what was Mr Clinton's approval rating when he left office? 65% the highest ever. and what's barry's? and what are the polls saying? 20 point up like the obama camp predicted? where was the 10 point bump he was to get from his tour of the world? there's no excuse on the planet for a man who wants to be C-i-C refuse to see our maimed and wounded troops on foreign soil. None. A flagpin aint gonna cut it...not even if he finally puts Old Glory on his plane. the folks who worried about his patriotism got their answer loud and clear.and the real Democrats who have voted since Carter are not exactly pleased with his treatment of Mr Clinton. Issues do not override simple respect. HOWARD--give obama a heads up...you saw the real messiah on the trip, didn't you?

Will Hillary be on the roll call for a nomination vote at the Democratic National Convention?

    ABC NEWS
Obama Vacation Comes with Lingering Tensions -- and Questions about Direction
By RICK KLEIN with HOPE DITTO
    August 8, 2008

Hillary Clinton still has not answered a simple question in her Web chat with supporters Thursday: Will she allow her name to be placed into nomination? (Obamaland wants a nomination by acclimation, not by roll call -- something that hasn't happened since LBJ claimed the nomination in a party still reeling from JFK's death, in 1964.)
    Related

Sen. Barack Obamas campaign appears reluctant to have any sort of roll call vote at the Democratic convention this month, ABCs Jake Tapper reports. Why? They have no interest in highlighting the narrowness of his victory.

Gary Hart offers some advice: A VOTE is not necessarily bad. My people put on a massive demonstration [on the convention floor in 1984]. It went on for 10 or 15 minutes, Hart tells Allison Sherry and Anne C. Mulkern of The Denver Post. They felt very good about it afterward. Obama may actually believe that the negotiations are SEAMLIESS, but why then do we see the cracks

This is a pretty big split in perceiving the conventions purpose. I do not think we are looking for catharsis. I think what we are looking for is energy and excitement about the prospects of changing this country.

Even as Hillary Clinton heads to Las Vegas today in her first solo trip to campaign for Obama, she is holding out the prospect of a DRAWN-OUT NOMINATING VOTE that experts say at best would be a distraction and at worst a disaster, Newsdays Tom Brune and Janie Lorber write.

Dont forget that Bill Clinton couldnt quite say that Obama was ready to be president. Taken together, the Clintons comments were evidence that some bitterness lingers two months after Clinton battled Obama to a near-draw, gave up her campaign and asked him to help her retire a multimillion dollar campaign debt, Reuters Steve Holland reports.

Obama has already given the Clintons plenty; and this is his convention, after all. Two nights out of four featuring the Clintons is not what Obama had in mind for his convention, but he will have to live with it, Newsweeks Jonathan Alter writes, noting that NEITHER OBAMA NOR THE CLINTONS CAN STOP DELEGATES FROM VOTING FOR WHOMEVER THEY WISH.

The 'One' could not earn my vote and many like mine for any price.
Having a self-serving person like him for President is not worth the price we would all pay.
I cannot wait until this person disappears from public life in November so he can view his own image in his own mirror in his own house instead of having it plastered everywhere we turn where he considers it as adored by all.
I am sickened by him and sick of seeing his face everywhere I turn.
