Clintonites, don't use envious to mess this up because of your hate for Obama. What goes around, will come around and it won't look good for Hillary in 2012. That's if 2012 comes, tomorrow is not promised to any of us.

When the Clintons left the white house after 2 terms, I did not want to believe the scandals and lies involving their behavior. But it was true. So please define "arrogance" or "elitist" plaster all over the Clinton's face!

  • Posted By: giovannis @ 08/11/2008 10:15:50 PM

If the Dems loose this time, blame the Clintons not the Republican. They seem to work in tandems against Obama.

    • Posted By: pearsoncrz @ 08/12/2008 11:37:30 AM

I was Obama who used the Republicans to defeat HRC in the primaries. Get the facts straight. If he loses, it will be because he encouraged the republicans to pick the weaker candidate, the one they could beat -- Obama.

Democrats. you should open your eyes atleast now to see how MSM played you. They kept the Edwards affair hidden when his running in the first few polls made sure Obama got the advantage. Then Obama camp invoked the "race" card by attacking Bill and making sure that the strong Black votes are secured. Then the hype got bigger and bigger till Hillary started to fight back. It was too late for her esp when her funds where misspent in the bigging. This is the truth for anybody who was watching the historical primary fight without falling for hype. NOw it is the time to tell DNC you mean business!! They should n't have played us!!

Good post. It was a very close election, and in the end the DNC and party elites pushed Obama over the top. As the presumptive nominee, he has an obligation to reach out the the Clintons and Hillary supporters, if he wants to win in November. He hasn't made a great effort to do so thusfar, though the convention is an important step. He only has three years of national experience, and he never held state wide office. He needs to seek out all the help he can get

      • Posted By: pearsoncrz @ 08/11/2008 4:40:14 PM

They could still nominate Hillary if they had the guts to stand up and do it. But they won't.

We've been played by the DNC because Edwards is a cheater? So, now we should show the DNC and run and vote for everything we are against? No, I'm good thanks.

You're not a Clinton supporter. He wasn't talking to you.,

Sorry, the Clinton's are like little arrogant children. THEY lost their own election and now they want to take their ball and bat and go home. It has always been about the Clinton's and never the party. HAVEN'T WE HAD ENOUGH OF THEM?

    • Posted By: pearsoncrz @ 08/12/2008 10:34:11 AM

Please, kick them out of the party. I don't want them in the DNC any more either.

I'm looking for a new centrist party to form before the next presidential election. The Clintons would be fabulous assets in such a party, able to work across party lines and address difficult budget issues effectively. HRC should stay in the senate and build on her already stellar record then run again in 2012 with a new party. Let the elitists have the DNC. They haven't nominated a winner since Bill Clinton.

      • Posted By: cobalt6 @ 08/12/2008 11:23:26 AM

I agree! A Centrist Party would be a great change, a change that this country really needs.

Why would Barack Obama need the Clintons. That is like to putting a Picasso with a cartoon from College Humor.

    • Posted By: News and Notes @ 08/12/2008 11:22:01 AM

He needs them to increase his chances of winning the election

  • Posted By: JSiobhan @ 08/11/2008 6:35:48 PM

I am afraid Obama is either unwilling to admit he needs help from the Clintons or he think he think he can do still do it without the Clintons. If Obama is deeply committed to the goals he wants to accomplish as president, then he should do everything in power to win this election. Obama is the party leader now so it is his job, not the Clintons, to step up to the plate. I hope Obama doesn???t risks this election just to save face with the Clintons. The more Obama distances himself with President Clinton, the more I question his capabilities as a uniter when he is unwilling to sit at the bargaining table with his own opponents.

    • Posted By: News and Notes @ 08/12/2008 11:19:44 AM

a true Uniter sits with his opponents

    • Posted By: pearsoncrz @ 08/12/2008 10:39:01 AM

Obama was never a uniter. He has divided the democratic party on the basis of race, sex, age, educational status and rural/urban orientation. We can't afford to let him do the same thing to our country.

Vote McCain. He won't run for reelection, and he won't be able to do anything without approval from a democratically controlled congress.

I won't vote for a man who admits using cocaine for years.

I'd give a lot just to have two out of three right now. Even one out of three. I do not blame him for being upset at the way he and Hillary were treated by the Obama camp and, especially, the press.

howard: "to cheerfully join the team (or do a good job of faking it)"

You know a bit about this don't you? Cheerfully--enthusiastically disseminating propaganda about obama?

"Despite the disagreement, the Obama side has agreed to give her a prominent, prime-time role in Denver." AGREED TO GIVE HER? How many votes separate them? What's the difference in pledged delegates? 120 or so? How many delegates behind was Ted Kennedy? 700 or so? Was Kennedy's name on the ballot? What about Howard Dean? Didn't he give up early on with what 120 or so delegates? Was he on the ballot? What about Jesse Jackson? What non-nominee has received 18M votes? What non-nominee came back after losing 11-in-a-row to someone who was lapping her in fundraising. There is no precedent for this election (on many levels) and Senator Clinton is the closest anyone has come--and yet, she's not allowed to have her name on the ballot? Do you see how absolutely crazy that is? Do you see how obvious the bias will be once someone cares? And there is only once conclusion: They are afraid she might just win...or at the very least...get enough votes that obama has to make her VP.

So save it. Clinton supporters have had enough. She gets on the ballot "party unity" may just be a possibility. She doesn't -- obama, no matter what he does later, will never get their vote. And please know that every word of your bubba and Hillary propaganda (and alter's) is pushing them over the edge.

Clue to your messiah: RESPECT is an issue.

    • Posted By: Notrepublican @ 08/10/2008 1:48:08 AM

And resentment is also an issue as well. I like Hillary too, I was an Obama supporter from the beginning, but If Hillary won I would be fine with it, because at least she's better than Mccain and Bush. But Obama has become the nominee, and you all know he's better than Mccain and Bush as well. You voted for Hillary for a reason, because you didn't want a republican or someone like Mccain to be president, and ruin our country for another four more years. You can still do that. Yeah, he looks different from her, but they still share similar ideas and views. Anyone who thinks Mccain is more like Hillary than Obama is, is insane.

I am an independent. I look at all the candidates democrats and republicans. I liked Hillary Clinton and Gulliani best, I don't vote for a person because a party tells you to, I vote for the candidate I like best. A candidate that has experience, and has done something and knows how this country is and should be run. I vote for the person I think could run this country best. Since we ended up with these 2 I think McCain is the best candidate!

I agree. . . As I assume you have been finding to be the case, have you noticed that when a non-Obama supporter responds with a perfect arguement as to e.g. what they want in a President and if it is clearly articulated as to why one wont support their Obama all they can do (not all, but a good many) is to try to take away from the bloggers response by trying to discredit the person by resorting to name-calling? Very unintellectual. . . . and transparent. Just like Barack Obama.

The Hillary Clinton supporters here in Florida are enrgized. Bill Richardson tomorrow in Broward County and then Hillary and Barack. Mending fences was never an issue when we consider what's at stake. the G OLD P must have it's head up it's own butt to think Jewish Voters would align themselves with the Party of HATE that covets the votes of Klanners, Skin Heads, deciples of the Turner Diaries and Radical Religons that condemn everyone to HELL except themselves. In addition, the State for the first time has more Hispanic registered Democrats than Republicans. The registration of new and younger voters is at an all time high due to Barack Obama's high gear registration drives. Not that it's essential but Florida could go Democrat this year. The Rasmussen Poll, which i don't dispute shows McCain leading in Florida but there's no way the newly registered Latino, young and the predicted tremendous Democrat Voter turnout was part of the poll. Barack is going to win by more than 100 electoral votes, wouldn't it be something if Florida added their 27 votes to his total. The writing is on the wall. Texas Red to leaning Light Red, Georgia Red to leaning Light Red. I'm pretty sure Texas and Georgia will be in the G OLD P column this year again but times are a changing. In the near future both will change to Blue and the Republican party will be relegated to 3rd party status. Their new name will be the Mouth-Breathing Out of Touch Party. The MBOOTP!

hey suckerfisherperson........Every comment you make...shows your internal emotions of worry and fear....Ga. voting Hussein??? GIVE ME A BREAK...McCain will carry Ga in the 12-15 pt range. Fla is going Republican...YOU KNOW IT. The Cuban vote is his...The Jewish vote is his....Any Jew that would vote HUSSEIN should be ashamed. He is anti-semite and radical Islamic sympathetic. Placing campaign signs at the Western Wall sealed the deal. AND Sen. Lieberman will insure the fact.....The state to keep your eye on after the conventions is.......California.....The Terminator and Nancy Reagan have not played their cards, as of yet. They will.....REMEMBER...HolyRoller told you first.

Hussein Obama has a near 0% chance of becoming POTUS. He will be lucky to carry 15 states, Most likely 5-7.

Now don't get flustered by my words corn-holey. I'm just getting the truth out there and you're convenient. I wouldn't waste my time trying to convert a mouth-breathers like yourself. The current results are closer that the twenty-eight point gap in June. It has been cut by 50%. Wait until Denver. Hussein channels Adolph"s Spirit, the Hopium addicts chanting...YES WE CAN.....it will be CREEPY. America will say...NO YOU CAN'T.

I think Jewish voters are in a bind this time and may sit this one out. Yes, the Republicans appeal to the intolerance in some groups. But, now, so do the Democrats. Obama's past associations tell a lot about him. A church that distributes "hate propaganda" by Hamas was the same church that Obama took his children to. As responsible parents, no one should allow impressionable children to listen to bigotry. Again, I say that there are more than one form of racism and that makes me a bigot in the eyes of my former party. Some people are against Obama because they don't like him or don't trust him, not because of his skin color. Some people don't think he is experienced enough, some think he is patronizing and some worry about the kind of politics he learned at the feet of Mayor Daily. So, it would seem to me that the liberal left, if they were truly liberal, would welcome diverse views. And, no, I'm NOT a republican, just a former dem who has watched my party become attack dogs for anyone that doesn't think like they do.

      • Posted By: notroubleatall1963 @ 08/10/2008 11:10:08 AM

I'm in Texas and all my Jewish friends here are FIRMLY in Obama's camp. His church was not an issue, can't believe there are those who can still be so finicky. Do you think US policy can be anything but pro-Israel? The president has to espouse this approach, and there isn't much wiggle room to go off on the deep end in the other direction, nor would anyone want that.

Obama is clearly the more intelligent, the better organized, the better fund manager, the better communicator. There should be absolutely no hesitation in your mind. There are some fanatics, but it's mostly because he's the FIRST African American who is running for President and actually has a good shot at winning. I think people might be getting a little over-exuberant. But you shouldn't worry about Jewish interests - they will always be at the top, or near it, of the Democratic platform.

        • Posted By: busby @ 08/10/2008 12:52:28 PM

Don't know if my response went through, so sorry if it already did. Yes, his church is an issue, he listened to that tripe and let his kids listen to it. When did he become so inclusive? He was literally forced to condemn Wright. Not everyone who doesn't support Obama is a racist, that is the most generalized attack you can come up with. By the same token I can say that anyone that states "I have Jewish friends" is really an anti-semitic statement because it is defensive. Neither is fair nor does either make any sense. Face it, some people will not vote Obama because they either don't like him or trust him. To label them racists is intolerant in itself. And don't speak for Jewish voters. No one but them knows their life experience.

???Some Obama advisers find Clinton a divisive and insufferable hypocrite who is merely yesterday's news.???

The Clinton???s have served this country in various capacities for decades. The treatment of the Clinton???s by Obama, his handlers and his online supporters has been some of the most vile, disrespectful abuse I think I???ve ever seen in politics. Obama has been very dismissive of Hillary supporters, doing very little in the way of reaching out and trying to bring us into the fold. This is arrogance and an enormous mistake on his part. He's showing already the kind of President he will be though the choices he's made around these issues, including most probably not offering Hillary the VP spot when she clearly earned it and it could conceivably make the difference between his winning the election or not, given recent poll numbers.
All of this only increases my concern about Obama. If he doesn't have the maturity and perspective to see these problems and attend to them, if is unable to bring all Democrats together and establish the unity and hope in his own party that he says he stands for, if he cares so little about the older women and working class voters who support Hillary that he can't be bothered reaching out to address our valid concerns & work to secure our votes, and, finally, if he, and his team, are unable to influence and control the way his camp behaves in the public arena toward Hillary and her supporters, how will he ever be able to manage the overwhelming, serious responsibilities he'll need to deal with, as President. Given these concerns, I see no reason to vote for him. He has to earn people's trust and votes and frankly, he needs us far more than we need him. He's done a very poor job of dealing with all of these problems and that's why I think he's not ready to be President and isn't the right person to get the nomination.

    • Posted By: simonanunhappydem @ 08/11/2008 12:51:20 AM

Carol, well put. Obama clearly does not seem to be up to the job of unifying the party, or simply does not care. However, our problem is the same as the problem of the right wing of the republican party. They dislike and distrust McCain, but can not vote for Obama. The same way I very much distrust Obama, but how could I vote for McCain who vowed to fill the supreme court with right wing fanatics, like Thomas. This is why Obama does not care for us. We have nowhere to go.

McCain has had since February to hone his campaign skills. McCain has had since February to form his committees and since then has been throwing people under the bus. McCain has had since February to develop his platform which he has not. He

doesn't want to be president. If he really wanted to be president he would have made a better name for himself while he had the opportunity to do so while Obama was battling Hillary (you all remember the one that was supposed to win). McCain would have righted the wrongs on his VA stances, he would have had a chance to address voting for a war that was wrong and will go down in history in infamy.

McCain doesn't want to be president. He just wants the title. He wants the perks that come along with it. He just wants power.

He doesn't want to be president. If he wanted to be president, he would be giving speeches on the socioeconomic issues the country and world faces which is what the leader of the free world is supposed to do; not stand in front of a crowd of people that already has money looking for a photo op.

If he wanted to be president he would be describing his policy on energy instead of throwing out a gas tax holiday or say he'd throw money at someone to come up with a battery idea that is already here. If he wanted to be president he would be stating his case to be president instead of attacking the person that wants to be president and perform the duties of that office.

Obama wants the job, not the title. He has already made the case to the people. He has already formed allegiances with other countries to deter and suppress terroristic activities and extremism. Obama has put his policies on the table and has let the people see them. He listens to those around him and is willing to work across the aisle to come to agreements on issues that affect us. Just ask Senators Hagel and Bachus.

    Vote Obama for President.

Clinton continues to manouver against you. Price of oil is dropping. You now seem aloof, detached, out to lunch, inexperienced, untested, unproven, babe in the woods, deer in the head lights, not up to the job, not ready for prime time, timid, hesitant. It is half time and YOU are behind. Don't kid yourself. YOU are behind. You need a new game plan. The election will come down to Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Michigan. You have to get yourself into middle America. Unfortunately, these are the same people that you alienated with your unkind comments out in California. Don't think that McCain won't be using those comments after the conventions. You will have to work hard to undo the damage. Any suggestions from fellow bloggers on how Mr. Obama can achieve this?

McCain showing his foreign policy experience? Kick Russia out of the G-8. I alos find it interesting that McCains top foreign policy advisor, Randy Scheunemann was a lobbyist for the Georgian Govenment until March.

    P.U.M.A
    Article: Obama, Serial Disrespectful Sidler
    July 27, 2008

Anyone remember the episode of Seinfeld where Elaine had a co-worker that somehow managed to show up every single time she was being praised for something at work and then TAKE CO-CREDIT FOR IT? Well, that is what Obama is starting to remind people of. Take for instance his rock star appearance in Germany last month. If you listened to the MSM you would think Obama really was a rock star. But if you took the time to dig into what actually took place, you would learn that the SHAMELESS SELF PROMOTION OBAMA SPEECH actually immediately followed a free concert by two very popular bands, Reggae PATRICE and rock band Reamonn. You would also learn that there was lots of FREE BEER, BRATWURST AND PIZZA.

STAGE WAS SET for Obama to Take Germany by Storm

Police advised that spectators seeking TO GET CLOSE to the Democratic senator had to arrive at least THREE HOURS EARLY. Yet, while waiting they can indulge in pizza, bratwurst and beverages in one of the TWO DOZEN FAST-FOOD STALLS LINING THE TWO-MILE LONG BOULEVARD. There are also live performances - FREE CONCERTS - of German rock band Reamonn and Reggae singer Patrice.

If this was an isolated incident we could probably ignore it. But the truth is that Obama used the exact mode of operation when he supposedly wowed Oregon. He claimed to have 75,000 people there at the Portland Waterfront Park to just SEE HIM when in actuality the majority of people went there to see a FREE CONCERT by a very popular band - The Decemberists!

72,000 gather at Portlands Waterfront Park (supposedly) just to see Obama:

Obama was the biggest star at Sundays gathering, though a popular Portland band, THE DECEMBERISTS, provided the warm-up act (free concert). With blue skies and temperatures in the 80s (perfect day), many in the crowd said Waterfront Park was simply the place to be. And JUST LIKE THE BERLIN SPEECH NOTHING WAS MENTIONED IN THE MainStreamMedia.

(Continued from post in the Reply area above)

Free Concert by Popular Band Preceded Obamas Big Rally:

Unmentioned in national reporting was the fact that Obama was preceded by a RARE, 45-minute FREE CONCERT by actual rock stars THE DECEMBERISTS. The Portland-based band has drawn RAVE REVIEWS FROM ROLLING STONE MAGAZINE, which gave their 2005 album Picaresque four and a half stars (out of five), and another four and a half stars for 2007s The Crane Wife.

The most troubling aspect of both of these speeches is that Obama managed to insult people that lay their lives on the line every day to make the rest of us safe. The incident in Berlin was not a fluke. It demonstrated a perpetual callous disregard for the sacrifices made by people the rest of us hold in the highest regard. But not Obama.

Obama Uses Police Memorial for Porta Potties:

Police officers in Portland, Oregon, are still waiting for an apology from Barack Obama after campaign staffers of his recent rally in Portland, Oregon, setup porta- potties DIRECTLY ON TOP of the Portland Police MEMORIAL, which honors the agencys 25 fallen police officers.

The Obama OREGON rally drew a crowd of over 75,000 people.

Officer Thomas Brennan, who was working overtime at the rally, took a picture of the offending toilets, with the American FLAG STILL AT HALF MAST because of Police Officers MEMORIAL DAY, directly behind them. The local law enforcement memorial service had been held at the site only five days earlier.

So whether it is snubbing the wounded warriors in Germany last month or p*ssing on the fallen police officers in Oregon, Obama apparently has only one mission, which is to make it appear as if he is a compassionate man with HORDES OF ADORING FANS that worship his every word. But the facts speak otherwise. And that is why we say No Deal.

Time for Bill Clinton to grow up and prove he's a team player, not a little boy sulking, ready to take his marbles home. His time has passed and he just can't take it. . . can't gracefully change with the times.

The Clintons are Americans first. They understand way to well, the danger of a Hussein POTUS. While they will give the public image of being pro-Hussein...well...just wait and watch.

Barack Hussein Obama....First Kenyan POTUS....I don't think so.

      NOBAMA!!!

The Clintons are The Clintons first and always will be.

        • Posted By: pearsoncrz @ 08/11/2008 5:50:20 PM

The Clintons put America first and left the white house virtually penniless. I doubt Obama would do the same.

          • Posted By: Notrepublican @ 08/12/2008 2:33:20 AM

That doesn't make sense, when Bill left office he left America and the government with a surplus. Who provides money for the white house, the government. So what you're saying makes no sense at all.

HOW DO YOU KNOW THEY HAD NO MONEY ?

DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH GRAFT THEY EARNED ; WHILE IN THE WHITE HOUSE ?

BUBBA HAD LOTS OF LEGAL FEES ; FOR HIS AFFAIRS; ADULTEROUS BEHAVIOR IS COSTLY..

To Holyroller: You continue your "scare" and ignorance tactics! How sad that is all you have to rely on. Barack Obama is as American as you are!

        • Posted By: cobalt6 @ 08/11/2008 1:44:57 PM

Don't pick on Hollyroller! Hollyroller is right !

Cobalt, if you're going to defend HolyRoller, at least spell his name correctly.

        • Posted By: sharenews @ 08/11/2008 3:20:22 PM

I dont know, HolyRoller was Wright about that book The Obama Nation being written and was going to become available before the dem convention and it did; and then he talked of an Edwards bomb looming to come out at any moment. . . and it did. How do we know, really, that there is not a big bomb waiting to go off once Obama is officially nominated for dem nominee? If there is anything, it wont happen until AFTER the nomination is my guess.

He's allot more American than this entity.

In my opinion, Senator Barack Obama, up to this point, has done remarkably well for himself, given the fact that he's young and new on the political scene, especially in the minds of many voters. And, oh yes, let's not forget that he's African-American and has a funny name. So, just how much "Clinton butt" do you want Senator Obama to kiss ???

The media=Beat Hillary down at the pimary and Obama in November. They are playing the game effectively to bring Mctalk on top.

Obama has never said anything off key that would be disrespectful toward Clinton 1 or 2. You're judging the supporters and yet have no reason to shift parties. Platform is platform and if you are changing because of what he said she said then you were never a democrat. This election is just putting the cards in the right suits. If you are voting Republican, it's not because of a loss, it's because that's what you were all along and good riddance. Just goes to show what the GOP actually represent, lies.

"Obama has never said anything off key that would be disrespectful toward Clinton 1 or 2. " cloudosmoke is right.

pearsoncrz is right, Obama gave Hillary the finger! See it on youtube.com

    • Posted By: pearsoncrz @ 08/11/2008 4:39:14 PM

Parsing again, I guess giving Hillary the finger doesn't count, does it?
