    The ??? is a result of the webpage not recognizing the symbols used in Gapsis's reply. When you copy/paste from a Word processing program like MS word, it changes the " and ' to a different symbol. Look at the graphical difference of the symbols when you copy/paste something from Notepad into Word and the like, and you ought to see how it's different than when you type it into Word.

    Thank you so much, Anna. I can always count on a fellow Barnard grad to speak truth to power. You've captured the nuances of racial politics in this election . I know that your commentary is hard for most white people to read because it questions everything that we have been taught about race and the use of the race card. I appreciate your courage.
