What Bush Got Right

hey finally some one who makes some sense! bill Clinton had many faults but at least by the end of his presidency our country had a monetary surplus and we were not at war with any one. now as an Iraqi war veteran i have to admit i feel like i was ran over by a bus. now if only 2009 was here and king George was out of office. January 1 2009 i plan to get very drunk so i can forget some of the huge blunders G W Bush has committed. they say that you can never really judge a presidency until twenty years has passed but i do not think the history books will be very kind toward president bush.

You must get paid by the word. Bush is a failure, but it's not his fault. He has a brain injury suffered in Vietnam; he even forgot he was there. I'm sure the people that have been hired to glorify Bush, will remind him, and skip the truth, and make him out to be a savior; it's called propaganda.

Oh my! - Bush -ies all sound like fanatical slightly conspiracy theorist type of people. No need to argue with them.

What Prez. "Bush got right" article is just a negative story made by the liberals to promote peace with world dictators like Sadam, and to bow to the deadly will of Slamist who never want freedom for their own people. Every Zakaria's reports & article noted all negative on Bush policies which one sided but never look on the other side of the coin that gives birth to democratic goverments that starting to root deeper in the life of people in the Middle East. Zakaria enjoys freedom in the West and also India his native land enjoying the fruits of freedom... let's face it, Zakaria's points does not have solid foundation when it comes to foreign policy that gives people in the world a taste and pleasure of what free people can accomplished like him.

To Getreal; You are either a moron, totally ignorant or have been living in some parallel universe for the past 7 years. This illegal 'war' was won and has been over since May, 2003 - See Mission Accomplished. The aftermath of that travesty - the occupation, is lost, has been lost and forever will be lost not to mention it being an abject failure. Bush and his cabal of criminals have ruined this country for years to come. He has caused the deaths of untold innocent Iraqi civilians, over 4000 Americans and essentially bankrupted this country. How anyone can even pretend to think that Bushit and friends have done anything right is beyond belief. Lets' count his successes, where should we start? the Constitution, New Orleans, 'free elections' in Florida (2000), Ohio (2004), energy, Osam bin Laden, the war on terror. (Sidebar - how does one conduct a war on/against a feeling?). Bushit and his bunch are criminals of the worst kind, he has lied and decieved the American public on just about everything he has ever said. Hopefully some day he and all his cronies, Darth, Wolfie, Condi, Gonzo, Scooter, Rummy, Bremmer, Ashcroft, Rove, etc, etc etc will all do hard time.

Some more things that Bush got wrong but weren't mentioned in this article: The erosion of our civil liberties and privacy, complete disregard for our constitution and the laws of our land, stonewalling and outright lying to the public to protect its cabinet members, the most secretive administration ever, complete disregard of the health of our environment and resources so that his business buddies could maximize profits at the expense of future sustainability and the well being of our citizens for years to come, a near complete takeover by industry insiders at the FCC, the Department of Agriculture, the Environmental Protection Agency, and many more, all of which were set up to regulate their respective fields in the interest of the people, not business interests, the privatization of the military, no-bid contracts to his buddies' companies, just to name a few.

I have read the article now several times and have yet to figure out just what Bush did ???right??? for America.
That he replaced Wolfowitz? He had no choice; America was about to loose its position of authority after Wolfowitz began misusing his position with days of his appointment...

Replacing Wolfowitz is all well and good, but homeland security for instance is full of Bush's political appointees as is the rest of Government.
Getting rid of these over paid incompetents is but a very small start to restoring Government.

The economic chaos will take generations to deal with, as we all know.

The eventual return of some jobs will occur when the American worker is viewed as cheap labor will occur at some point probably 20 to 30 years.

It happened when Japan became an economic power on American Consumer dollars and eventually found it was cheaper to make Toyotas in the US than in Japan.

But It will take another 20 years before the Chinese are paid more and Americans are paid less to the point they are equal and transportation tips the scale as to where shoes and toys and clothes and food and by then your cars are made.

This effort to push Americans to the bottom of the world pay scale has been 40 years in the making, as you may recall it was Nixon who went to China and opened the door.

Reagan had a big hand in it and is the Architect of ???the new economy??? or ???trickledown economics??? or ???supply side??? economics which ever they call it this week.

So the fact is Bush should not take all the credit for the destruction of the middle class it has been on the republican agenda for some time.
If I recall it was originally called "America would become a service economy" and all American workers had to do was get a college degree.

Took me a long time to figure out what that meant and the best answer finally came from an economist mind you.
The Service economy was companies like Disney land where the foreigners would come and spend the dollars we had sent them.
Recently the financial reports indicated Disney land was doing just fine and was a bright spot in the economy.
Perhaps Bush deserves some credit for that.

After 911, Bush should have concentrated Pakistan and Afghanistan. Pakistan is not our ally. They are the most dangerous nation on the earth. Pakistan is a nation that is screwed up badly. It has immoral, corrupt dictators and intelligence agency which should have been prosecuted, purged, destroyed and crushed. That is the nation that betrays the whole world, trains all terrorists and sends them all over the world to create terror. Instead of destroying terror apparatus of this filthy nation. Instead, Bush coddled the dictator, their military, their intelligence officers. We should have invaded this country instead of invading Iraq.

I disagree with the entire sotry about what President Bush got right or wrong. He was attached from the first day in office. The liberals, who are pros at destroying people they dont like kept on messege from the very first day. Every opportunity they got, they would spread mud. Nothing worked for the first four years but them right after the administration told the world that they found no WMD,s, the liberals went crazy. they spread every piece of vennom attaching President Bush. Every day without fail you would hear a democrat or the media say how Bush lied, until finally most of america started to believe the lies that the Democrats were throwing out. even many who loved President Bush didnt want to look dumb so they started to agree with the Dems. Just remember several facts. This is the party that banned smoking from most of our country. This is the party that wants to ban us from eating certain foods. This is the party that wants to implemnt laws telling us when and how much electricity we can use. This is the party that wants certain private shows taken from the airwaves because they dont like them. these are all facts that I have given you. doesnt that sound like what Hugo chavez is doing. Whatever he doesnt like it bans it. We are losing our rights every single day little by little and Americans dont care. when you wake up some day and happen to be reading the bible on the bus and someone comes up to you and takes the bible away from you, warning you that this book has been baned from our country, maybe then will you realize what the democrats and atheists have done .

One of his biggest failures was domestic surveillance! The NTSC has become a draconian effort aimed squarely at drug running with little or no effective results against domestic terrorism! Worst still because we have turned our attention to boarder patrol there has been a mega explosion in cocaine production throughout the world especially in Afghanistan and Columbia. The drug runners have become so sophisticated that they are even using submarines to import the drugs. What a joke!

If sitting reading a story is the proper response to an Attack on the US and sitting around at the Olympics while an US ally in Iraq and one of the Presidents preferred members of NATO is under attack is the Republican idea to protect US interests here and abroad; I suggest the Republicans need to be replaced until they can learn how to responsibly handle of the affairs of state.

This poor idiot feels like he has to practically apologize for saying one or two things good about George W. Bush. That is because in his liberal world, saying anything positive about Bush is treated as blashpemy. Jyst look at some of the idiots who have posted comments here. Regardless of thei blindness, George Bush has done far more good than bad. While Clinton ignored the gathering threat of terrorism - thus allowing 8/11 to happen, this administration has faced it head on every single day. The results speak for themselves. While the liberal clowns say the world hates us becuase of Bush, they ignore that Franch, Germany and England all elected presidents who share in Bush's ideology - this because the worms that were previous in office in those countries allowed the evil in this world to infiltrate their borders and wreak havoc. The sheep who now want to elect Obama ignore that we have won the war in Iraq - a war which for years, these fools tried to compare to Vietnam. We will now have bases in Iraq for years and will be able to have a modicum of control over those barbarians for years to come. History shows that it takes decades bo analize the success or failure of a presidency. Truman left office a has been. Today he is considered one of the greats. I believe history will be as kind to W.

what bush did not get right. Reading a story in a classroom while the US was under attack. Sitting around at the Olympics while the country of an Iraq Coalition partner and a country he would prefer to see as part of NATO is under attack. If this is the Republican version of protecting the United States and US interests, it is clearly time for change.
