Paris Hilton is the embodiement of everything that is wrong with America today. The article is a waste of time and in poor taste. I expect more from a magazine like NEWSWEEK, but I guess the term "news" is a pretty loose one these days. I won't be picking up a copy of NEWSWEEK again any time soon.

Your magazine has become a gossip rag. No wonder no one buys it. I thought you were supposed to write about the news. This is a good indication of what is wrong with this Country and your magazine. When bubble-headed no-talent celebrities are taken seriously, you know things have gone downhill. I'm glad I didn't buy your rag.

I don't even pretend to be " in the know" about politics,... probably just enough to be dangerous...but even I, am embarrassed at the way this country degrades, and shames itself by allowing articles like this to be deemed "top news." Is it any wonder that my generation can't seem to appreciate or value the political system when we are taught to view it as "laughable". For the first time, I am TRULY afraid for the future of America. I have no confidence, nor do I feel safe. This was a wake up call for me.

I think it would be hillarious!!! As a whole I think that randomly picking a name out of the phone book would give us a president of the people and for the people.
