I am impressed that Paris has such a good sense of self that she put herself in a position to have to deal with all of the negativity she has had to endure from the masses. I too have not liked the pablicity she has recieved for her poor choices. However, we as a mass majority buy it. The press does not print things we are not likely ot read. Look at the attention this has provoked. I thought it was nicely done. A nice joke.

WOW! i read through a few of these. I won't tell anyone to get a sense of humor, but good heavens, it is funny. I too don't like the "Hilton bunny" and all of the publicity she seems to attract. However, the press prints what sells, we as a majority buy the rubbish that is printed, that is why she still gets the press. We as a majority seem to like her. Now as far as the writings here, the ones that seem to think the writer int ended to be serious. I think she must have a good sense of self to have participated in the add, and a good sense of humor as well. Maybe we do need to lighten up a bit.

A Real Pais Hilton.... A true puppet master ... let her run. At least we'll get somebody good looking it the White House.... Hey ... I am not to happy with the choices we have now so why not let Paris Hilton run the show. How much worse can it get. Bush whacked ... OBAMA or McCain are just gonna finish the job. Maybe Paris Hilton is the answer.
Listen to the song -- by The Bruce of WIndsor Project called "A Real Paris Hilton"

In response to "ndrock" comments.. Why should Newsweek be above posting an article of this fashion when the countries republican candidate saw it fit to spend good contribution money for an ad not worthy of any candidate. Everyone is just responding to our next possible leader. Now that's something to be upset about.

  • Posted By: ndrock @ 08/12/2008 8:32:48 AM

What the hell kind of F**** stupid article can Newsweek come up with next. Run a rich hoar for President!! What a slap in the face to all the hard working policiticans that are trying to make this a better country. Newsweek must really be in need of some grown up journalists to even suggest such a F**** idea!!

    • Posted By: hobomonkey @ 08/12/2008 8:49:53 AM

Hard working politicians? I only know a few on a local level that really have the communities best interest at heart, the rest are cheating or stealing from us. Have you not heard of some of these poloticians that have had "favors" provided such as free meals, Free remodeling projects, free flights, free MONEY? Or how about John edwards that lied to us about his affair. At least Paris is honest.

Its all about OBAMA............. and you can't even spell Whore right!

  • Posted By: sf5700 @ 08/12/2008 8:45:56 AM

This is the stupidest thing I have read in awhile. Paris Hilton running the country......thats almost as bad as this story being published. I would rather read no news then something as rediculious as this.

Rhianna cannot be Vice President, as she was born in Barbados...

Believe it or not the perfect campaign song for Paris Hilton's run for president can be heard at:

    www.reverbnation.com/thebruceofwindsorproject

The Band - The Bruce of Windsor Project has it posted on their page....

The song is called "A Real Paris Hilton" and would really be a great theme for her campaign / run for President. The lyrics are perfect for this ROCK STAR to run for President. "She's Got all the Magic, She's got quite the game, Sets the world on Fire, When they hear her name.... Hey has anybody Seen that girl... A Real Paris Hilton ... She Travels Around the World...... --- Check it out.... The Perfect Rock Tune to Rock ...Paris into the Whtie House.... Hey she just might be a better choice than the two Puppets we got dancing on the strings right now.... Paris Hilton just might be The Puppet Master...... :) ... OMG

Wow hard working polititions huh...as a canadian I see the whole thing as a running joke. These men get all the power in the world and wat do they do....they cheat on their wives, focus more on the wars in other countries then whats going on within there own. The BILLIONS that they spend on warfare could end poverty or make sure that every child in the states had access to excellant healthcare or dental care. At least we know that if Paris or Britney were in charge....sure they would go shopping....but you can bet that they wouldn't be so concerned with the ending of peoples lives!

    • Posted By: K.I.S.S. METHOD @ 08/12/2008 8:30:16 AM

OMG! I would actually vote for her instead of the pocketed politicians we have now. Sure this is a facietous story but let me be one of the first to warn that the average Americans are fed up with the business as usal from our political leaders. Wake up Washington and smell the coffee!! PINK HOUSE or White? I don't care as long as they get rid of the Green in their Pockets!

  • Posted By: ggllww @ 08/12/2008 8:12:59 AM

She'd get my VOTE over the other choices we Have!

    • Posted By: passionateinpa @ 08/12/2008 8:18:36 AM

that's just sad if that's how you really think... it's no wonder this country is in such a mess....

Ive been serving for 17 years, 12 overseas between Iraq, Turkey, Hungary, Bosnia Korea and Germany. Dem or Rep doesnt matter. Paris thrives. I quit. F$%k you America. Give me a reason to believe again. I swear I'll listen. Capitalism is at it's worse here and now. I have no better alternative and it's not a wrong path but what happened is with US the people. Moo cow... If you're young and sure you're rightabout your beliefs, you're wrong. Not because of your beliefs but because you're under an influence from parents, media or something else. Think about that seriously before judging and reading on. Were you're views 10 years ago correct? It's not quite the same but it's close. Get your own unbiased opinion. Comprhending the world is impossible and to think otherwise is arrogant. Being good to those around you, supporting education and not believing what is dictated by the media, whatever facet lib or consv, will make you happy and enlightened like you want to be. Please make me want to come home. Thanks..

This article is just pure nonsense. What's the point of it?

  • Posted By: riasheabb @ 08/12/2008 8:16:17 AM

Why did you have to give that spoiled brat some more undeserved publicity?

    • Posted By: hobomonkey @ 08/12/2008 8:25:22 AM

because she has entered into and has had an effect on the political landscape, even though it is a joke. Media and money is no match for us little guys. but we all do have one vote.

I repeat: Come on people, let's lighten up! Obviously, both the clip and the Newsweek article are both meant to be tongue in cheek, and are not meant to be taken seriously. But I for one kind of admire Paris. I'm not a big fan by any means, but how many celebrities are there that are famous just for being famous? She keeps herself in the spotlight, somehow, and remains an A-lister without having any major TV or film roles. I think Paris is a lot more intelligent than some of you are willing to admit. Granted, the lines she spoke for the video clip were not her own, but she did memorize the whole thing, did the whole thing in 4 takes, and came over convincingly. I think Paris' red carpet persona is very different from who she actually is, and it saddens me that so many are willing to bash her, or label her as an "airhead" (or worse), because of that persona. Think about this: in the US, baseball is perhaps the first great pastime, but the second is starting lawsuits. Paris could have done that so easily, but instead she made a funny, self-deprecating ad to run for president. I saw this as a healthy, realistic and intelligent response to what McCain did, and I wish more people would learn not to take things so seriously. Since when do we verbally demoralize people for having a sense of humor? Lighten up and find your sense of humor again, folks.

  • Posted By: hobomonkey @ 08/12/2008 8:22:01 AM

McCain took donations from the Hiltons. The Hiltons asked for the money back, But Paris had the best repsonse which was lets take some votes away. Think about what ralph nader and ross perot have done in the past to split votes. even mickey mouse has been written in on some voters ballots as voters try to make a point. Yes it is a waste of a vote and leads to counting chads, but that is how frustrating career politicians can be. Paris is smater than she appears.

I am so tired of the IGNORANT. The president's job and ATHORITY when it comes to laws and bugets is this: He can PROPOSE a budget. Then CONGRESS (consisting mostly od DEMOCRATS) creates a SPENDING BILL. all mr Bush can do is say yes or no. When is congress going to take some of the BLAME.

A President ASLO can not declare war only CONGRESS CAN. The argument seems to be congress was duped... where were all the congressinal members that serve in the INTELEGENCE, ARMED SERVICES, and FOREIGN RELATIONS commities. Do those representitives get even have the blame or trash talked as our president?

What was the American peoples role in the mess we are in? The President is only ONE Person that we elected and his approval rating is very low BUT if I remember BOTH houses of CONGRESS is about 535 people that WE the AMERICAN People Elected and their aproval rating IS NOT EVEN A THIRD of Mr Bush.

Conclusion, CONGRESS SUBMITS SPENDING, CONGRESS CAN DECLARE WAR, WHEN ARE WE AS AMERICANS GOING TO UNSEAT THE LAUGHING STOCk THAT IS IN CONGRESS. I truely mean laughing stock..... they sit there and laugh at how stupid the american people are.... listen to the sound bite of JOHN EDWARDS. Lie, Lie, Lie and then in an interview he STATES ON CAMERA THAT THE PEOPLE DON"T HAVE A CLUE WHAT WE DO. YOU WANT CHANGE???? Be sure to start at home with YOU and vote out the current 535 laughing stock called congress.

this is one point i have been trying to get across everytime i here people bashing Bush. i am not for or against Bush, he is merely the face of America. Congress makes all the desicions and who ever is in office either gets rewarded or blamed for it. not bashing any past president, because yes we have had some great ones and ones that were really smart and tried making a difference. but like it or not Bush isn't totally to blame for everything that has gone wrong. Americans need to take a good look at what it realy going on, we live in this great country where we can be anything we want to be, not what we are told we have to be, and the majority of American citizens don't take the time to really appericate that fact.
