This proves to me how stupid msn is . Get a life. Isn't their someting more than important Paris Hilton. As for Bush I suppose you would wrather be wareing a burka. You are so filled with hate you can't see the forest for the trees. Liberty comes at a price. Nothing is free.

    • Posted By: greyone @ 08/12/2008 8:12:31 AM

If you bought into BUSH and his WAR, you might just be the ignorant one. You bet, nothing is free, but that doesn't mean you have to search for places to bankrupt this country. His rush to war was totally wrong, and the entire world knows that except for you. He has only compounded our problems by having us stay in a country that wishes we would leave. Looking a reality doesn't mean hate.

this article is sooo ridiculous! why must we waste space talking about Paris Hilton!! Who cares what color she would paint the white house!!! just who cares!! There many more important things in life to care about then some rich girl getting richer by us broke people who really work hard! Stop giving her airtime!

  • Posted By: bobjohn @ 08/12/2008 8:11:51 AM

Listen, the article should have be captioned, " Whay Paris Hilton will be as effective a president as Barack Obama.:" The substance of a Hilton presidency would be as meaningful, but less destructive to the long term health of this country.

The American People are living in a movie.
First, Barak Obama (after the TV series "24"), and now Paris Hilton.
    Incredible.

Give me a break, Paris Hilton is an idiot and if she did'nt have the big Hilton na,me behind her and the money she'd be a nobody. Why does'nt she do us a favor and disappear.

This is meant to be a joke but the sad part is that George Bush's main qualifications for president were similar to Paris Hilton before he took offfice. Years of alcohol and drugs and a famous name led George W Bush to the White House. Why not Paris?

Give me a break. The article wasn't about Bush bashing for a change.

How about 1,000 reasons why she shouldn't be president?

WTF! Why are we wasting perfectly good web space with the BS?

  • Posted By: jfmccann @ 08/12/2008 8:00:15 AM

This article isn't really funny, but when MSN posts it next to a story about Russia attacking Georgia it seems just stupid. And in Newsweek?

  • Posted By: ArmchairAnalyst @ 08/12/2008 7:52:35 AM

Can she grab her ass with both hands? If so, she may be overqualified according to current standards.

  • Posted By: Nutmeg01 @ 08/12/2008 7:52:30 AM

Come on people, let's lighten up! Obviously, both the clip and the Newsweek article are both meant to be tongue in cheek, and are not meant to be taken seriously. But I for one kind of admire Paris. I'm not a big fan by any means, but how many celebrities are there that are famous just for being famous? She keeps herself in the spotlight, somehow, and remains an A-lister without having any major TV or film roles. I think Paris is a lot more intelligent than some of you are willing to admit. Granted, the lines she spoke for the video clip were not her own, but she did memorize the whole thing, did the whole thing in 4 takes, and came over convincingly. I think Paris' red carpet persona is very different from who she actually is, and it saddens me that so many are willing to bash her, or label her as an "airhead" (or worse), because of that persona. Think about this: in the US, baseball is perhaps the first great pastime, but the second is starting lawsuits. Paris could have done that so easily, but instead she made a funny, self-deprecating ad to run for president. I saw this as a healthy, realistic and intelligent response to what McCain did, and I wish more people would learn not to take things so seriously. Since when do we verbally demoralize people for having a sense of humor? Lighten up and find your sense of humor again, folks.
