Paris Hilton certainly couldn't be any worse that what we have now.

THE DAY PARIS HILTON EVEN BECOMES POLITICAL IS THE DAY I LEAVE THIS PLANET FOR ANOTHER. BECAUSE THIS WORLD HAS FINALLY COME TO AN END.

8-12-08 0810. I have no problem voting for Paris for president, but I do not believe she meets the age requirement. She is very polite and nice to everyone she meets, which is what politicians are trained to do.
Paris could go over some recent blogs and then decide how she wants to handle any given situation. I think that foreign diplomates would enjoy entertaining Paris. Miraiah have a nice day y'all

There seems to be two groups of people responding to this article: those that like it, and those that hate it. Each of these groups can be divided into two more groups: those that take it seriously, and those that don't.

Those that hate it and take it seriously are extremely reverent of all things American but can't seem to understand that THE AD IS A REAL JOKE.

Those that hate it and don't take it seriously just find it stupid and annoying (lighten up guys -- just think of it as the Sunday comics).

Those that like it and take it seriously shouldn't be allowed to vote.

Those that like it and don't take it seriously recognize it for what it is -- a joke and a spoof.

    Which group are you in?

we have lost touch, if we can not have a little comedy , laughter , and a smile in our daily life you should move to another country , we put so much presure on each other everyday with media stress it is nice to have a little humor , after all it's realy not that bad ,look around you and make someone smile today and you will feel better about what ou have . Paris will allways be Paris if you don't like her turn off your TV and take a walk it's better for your health fisical and mental.

I would vote for Paris before I would vote for McCain. Maybe Obama could be her Vice President. I like her diplomatic style...............she is so nice to everyone. I was impressed with her energy policy..........it's as good as any I've heard this year. Go, Paris, shake them up a little............bring up the bar.

This was Frigg'n hilarious. All of you political eliteist wanna be's need to relax and just appreciate something because it is funny. Like it or not our popular culture is a defining part of our American Customs and it infiltrates every aspect of our day to day lives. The news week people are just making light of a politial jab aimed at Sen. McCain. Plus, if you watch the ad it is really insight full and even has a smart momemt or two. So, for thoes of you who has a stick you know where instead of promoting what you find so vulgar by giving it attention why don't you just turn the other way and let the rest of the USA have a good laugh at what is going to be yet another flash in the pan moment of internet popularity.

Come on people! She is such a joke why should we make the US look stupid even talking about this and wasting space for people like this!

In reading all of the posts here, I think many of you are missing the point. Yeah, we are all smart enough to know that this article is satire, a spoof. But it's the media that is out of touch. We, the readers, truly, truly do not care what these bimbos like Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan think. It's so irritating to have to sit through yet another stupid article or sound bite of these creatures of our hopelessly sick culture in order to get to the real news. Do you guys in the media even know what real news is anymore and what the American people want to read or watch? Do you even care? Or are you all simply playing to the 13 year olds?

    • Posted By: Mister Missed Her @ 08/12/2008 10:56:05 AM

You don't have to sit through a stupid article unless you choose to read it. If you don't want to hear a sound byte, don't listen. If you don't care, then don't pay attention and feed their desire to be seen, heard, and talked about. It's as simple as that, really. Quit complaining about people doing things you don't care about. Obviously, you do care or you wouldn't take the time to read, listen and respond.

oh, lighten up! actually, I think she would be a better president than the *** we've got in there now... but thats not saying much...

  • Posted By: Smarter Person @ 08/12/2008 10:52:54 AM

Chill out! The video was very clever! The two guys who wrote it are very talented. This country is in trouble and at least the responders to this article seem to realize it. We are in trouble economy-wise, infrastructure-wise, in wasteful destructive wars in Iraq and Afghanistan which only results in the deaths of men and women and does nothing for this country, and we do not have a nationwide healthcare program. The idiots that are in Washington now were elected by someone ... and what were they thinking? Paris or someone who has no idea what is going on in Washington could not do any worse than all the jerks and incompetent people we have there now!!

  • Posted By: Patchezz @ 08/12/2008 10:51:24 AM

This is Frigg'n Hilarious...all of you up tight political eliteist wanna be's need to lighten up. As President Bush said in Hearald and Kumar Excape from Guantanamo Bay says, " You don't have to have faith in your government to be a good American...you just have to have faith in your country.

Maybe they would get there *** toghter if the werent always in the spotlight and didn't have all the attention but the spotlight were it really belongs and turn up the heat on the real candidates.

This is why I dumped my subscription to Newsweek. This is not news! Yea, right.... lets shine the spotlight on the alcoholic/porn-star/ex-con/rich no-talent spoiled brat AGAIN. This article isn't even cute; it's a waste of space. Even discussing this bimbo running for president in jest is an insult to our political system and the position of the President. No wonder why other countries think of us as a joke. This story is a new low for Newsweek and the person who wrote this article. Newsweek has become the 'National Enquirer' for people who don't shop at Walmart.......

Paris for President and Bill Clinton for VP. You talk about a "Boot Scootin" white house. You think the Muslims hate us now and call us infidels, what till they see this.
