This woman does sound intrigueing. I am probably her opposite when it comes to astrology, new age, etc., but she just sounds interesting. I would like to sit and listen to her as you did and I can understand your "listening for three hours". Actually, she sounds quite similiar to a lady I dated for awhile. Our relationship didn't work because we were so totally out of touch with each other's thinking, but it was a fun, interesting, enlightening experience and I was kind of sad when it ended because it was like nothing I'd ever experienced before. I was never able to decipher her thinking.

Dude, she's got nothing worth saying...it's all between the sheets...

    • Posted By: skippy55 @ 08/12/2008 7:25:49 PM

I used to be one of those 'new age' thinkers...until I realized that just like so many people who use religion as an excuse to judge and treat others badly, lots of new agers aren't much different. I'm sure in Rielle Hunter's world, Elizabeth Edwards is responsible for her own cancer, and she can rationalize a million different reasons for committing adultery. I used to think peole like that were interesting, too- now I find that reading back of the cornflakes box far more fascinating- and real.

I think I would like to discuss my horoscope with Ms.Reille to determine if I'm a good candidate for President. I prefer White Burgundy.

I think it???s ridiculous to stop voting because some politician had an affair. Although I do not condone cheating, I will not give up hope on our political system. I would rather be lied to about someone???s sexually deviance then to be lied to concerning the war in Iraq and issues that will affect my life on a daily basis. I was an Edwards???s support and still believe he is a good man. We are all human and we have all done things we wish we hadn???t. Forgive and move on, there are more important issues in the world.

Elizabeth didn't like Rielle, b/c Elizabeth could smell Rielle and her motives out a thousand miles away. Elizabeth's an intuitive woman...and she's been w/ her husband long enough to probably sense he was up to something. Whoever said that Rielle planned this out is right...she has all the characteristics of a leech who had no purpose or direction in life...until, surprise!, she got pregnant. Quite the opportunistic individual Rielle was and continues to be. John Edwards is an educated man, and why he chose this "life's all about feeling good" woman to have an affair w/ just blows my mind.

BTW, I'm not saying this to be negative or positive, but does anyone else thing that in some pictures, Rielle looks like Camilla Parker Bowles? Just sayin'...

Yes. All she needs are uglier glasses.

      • Posted By: Chaps @ 08/12/2008 7:25:37 PM

OMG, she does! How Funny! Maybe all whore's look alike

      • Posted By: Chaps @ 08/12/2008 7:23:48 PM

OMG...She does look like her....maybe all whore's look alike

Rielle is simply a middle class, smooth-talkng prostitute who is willing to be laid by anyone of class, stature and popularity. Sadly, Edwards got caught in her web before he knew what was sucking his blood. Maybe he never heard the proverb "Come into my parlour said the spider to the fly"

If John Edwards had been a republican, neither hell, high water, nor a sick wife could have kept the affair quiet, assuming adequate proof was had. I am not biased to either party and, in fact, have voted for a mix of democrats and republicans in our last local and state elections because each were the best candidates. It just happens too often to be coincidental.

Jphn McCain has a year long affair with his current wife while he was married and had three children and I think he is getting a lot of slack. it may have happened years ago but it did and her family must not have thought toomuch of him they had him sign a prenuptial which was not very common years ago

I'd rather have a President who cheats, as most of them have since Day One...than one who gets thousands of our men killed, or maimed for life, to line his pockets with Oil. I don't think what he does in his own time should matter to anyone, except his entire family and him. Thought I didn't care at all what he did outside the Oval Office, until my husband cheated on ME over and over, only lying until he got an ever present STD. See with me, he was impotent, he said...lucky me, huh? See...none of that is anybody else's business. Just what he does as our Representative. Get real, people.

  • Posted By: dolly2000 @ 08/12/2008 7:18:26 PM

OMG gold digger. Who paid her off, to keep Edwards out of the presidental race. Look at his wife even when she was healthy, what man would not look at a young blonde thing? As person of morals, there is no politician in this U.S.A. that has not been sold out , bougt out , or brained washed or black mailed by someone with the money. It's all about money, this day and age. They say if you vote it makes a differences, wrong, if you have the money that is what makes the difference. Thank about what ever happent o Gary Brown, Oh thats right its always the blonde and money that gets them in the end.

The most amazing thing here is not John Edwards or his wife or any other political thing...it's this woman who can waltz into his life with NO SKILLS as a film maker (obvious from her videos of Edwards) and make $100,000 for not much work AND also get a 3 million dollar home out of the whole deal...why is no one talking about this obvious PAYOFF !!!!!

  • Posted By: ciaobaby @ 08/12/2008 6:58:56 PM

What did I just hear ?????????????? This man is the father of this spiritual person's child? This is just too sad. God bless his wife! God bless US for never making this man the next President of the United States!

My heart goes out to his wife. She is so much more intelligent than he ever was .... she was just in love and trying to be all things to everyone. She deserves major kudos! What a woman!

    • Posted By: kathyo0902 @ 08/12/2008 7:16:27 PM

I saw Elizabeth speak in my city during the 2004 campaign. She was intelligent, gracious and I admired the way she supported her husband and was working so hard for him. Shortly thereafter news came out that she was battling breast cancer - I admired her even more for her strength and courage. I hope she divorces him and runs for president - I can see the ticket now - Edwards/Clinton.

    John Edwards has an affair.
    My question: who cares?

    • Posted By: progolf @ 08/12/2008 7:16:13 PM

It's about ego and behavior that could have lost the election for his party had he won the nomination. It's about hypocrtical behavior and errors in decision making. It's about talking about moral and values and leaving the speech to be with his lover. It's about people that worked for him and made donnations to help him win the election seeing their time and money go to support this crazy lover of his.

    • Posted By: MrMoto @ 08/10/2008 11:18:41 PM

well let's see. During that time John Edwards was running for president of the United States. He was in the third place after Obama and Clinton in the Democratic primaries. When he did not get the nomination Edwards was courted for his delegates and his support by both Clinton and Obama. The media ran with the story of Edwards finnaly coming out and backing Obama for weeks. Edwards was on John Kerry's ticket for Vice-president. The New York Times ran an unverified story about John McCain having an affair, but did not do the same about Edwards, who at the same time was running for president in the Democratic primaries. Edwards was to have a big spot in the Democratic convention in Denver...THAT'S WHO CARES.

i liked Edwards the minute I first came to see him on the political arena. I am a strong southern person as well and I connected with what he believes in. I had hopes (and still do) that he might have become Obama's VP. His affair is regretable for everyone but with the state of marriage now and days, why are we suprised? I'm quite sure that many past Presidents or political leaders had affairs which we didnt know about, before the media became so entralled with these stories. It does not make him less of a man to me, just what has unfortunately become typical in marriage - and not just from the men. I feel for his family but it does not change my views on believing he should be in office. We cannot judge morals when MOST of us have been in situations which are too "immoral" - only to make 'excuses' for ourselves.

If a man can't be faithful to his wife, how can he be faithful to his country??? I like John Edwards and I am cynical about ALL politicians regardless of their political affliation...but I partically despise the hypocrits...I am truly disappointed in Edwards. He can be forgiven, he is only human...but he should get the hell out of politics...

      • Posted By: Mrs. SEM @ 08/12/2008 6:53:18 PM

I so agree with this. It's unfortunate that he cheated on his wife. But to stand up before the public and flat out deny it and then been proven that it happened is just down right stupid. If the affair happened, just admit it upfront. Surprisingly enough, I think people would respect individuals who tell the truth upfront rather than lie to our faces and then are proven that they did, in fact, faulter. Granted, we would be disappointed but knowing that someone admits fault upfront is someone who can be more trustworthy. He certainly DOES NOT belong in politics!!

        • Posted By: Ms. K @ 08/12/2008 7:12:00 PM

..and even in his attempt to 'come clean' he continues to lie about being the father of the child.......unbelievable.

    • Posted By: Juiceman0909 @ 08/12/2008 6:22:15 PM

Yeah, what the heck! As long as everyone else is doing it, why not? Who cares about your family? Who cares about honoring a commitment? Nobody honor a commitment, everyone sleep with everyone else, break laws, do what you want, complete anarchy. That sounds like a plan to me.

  • Posted By: heidilee @ 08/12/2008 7:11:00 PM

I am always amazed that these highly educated men choose women with so little class. I am European, and having an affair is not a big drama to me, just part of life. The media, I think, should have more interesting subjects to report on.

Any man who would have an affair with his wife going through cancer is not much of a man I don't have aproblem with the affair but with a sick wife this is the lowest of low .I always thought alot of him but now no amount of money can make him much of a man. You stay by your partners side in times like this not add a burden to them. God have mercy on him. You are shameful.

  • Posted By: warrior dowager @ 08/12/2008 7:01:46 PM

My goodness me!! Any southern woman with half way good sense knows that a man that good
looking will stray. The genes are in the jeans. Little wonder Elizabeth has not wept and wailed and threantned to leave. The big problem was that Edwards was not more circumspect. He evidently was an amateur at this. But one may say that he is learning the steps as he went along with his wohm'n. Give him time and he will be as slick as a pig--but will sqeel less than he does now.

  • Posted By: jstone328 @ 08/12/2008 7:00:32 PM

What i find most astonishing, John Edwards had sex with this high mileage whacko with out a condom! He is just another scumbag politician. His wife, Elizabeth , disserved much better.. with her limited time on this earth, she has chosen to but the needs of her children first. Elizabeth Edwards demonstrates the character traits needed to lead this country. It's a shame they never rubbed off on her selfish, egotistical pig of a husband.
