I like this article, because it makes their affair accessible to us and lets us understand the motivations behind the other woman, perhaps trying to "save" this married man from his unfriendly wife. It does not excuse any of the actions, of course, but it is interesting to see how the dysfunctional motivations started. It is kind of surprising that a man like John Edwards would be this open to destruction though. Perhaps his ego is so large that he really felt invincible. No wonder his wife was unfriendly to other women on the trail--she surely knows this about him, after 30 years of marriage. Great article!
