I like this article, because it makes their affair accessible to us and lets us understand the motivations behind the other woman, perhaps trying to "save" this married man from his unfriendly wife. It does not excuse any of the actions, of course, but it is interesting to see how the dysfunctional motivations started. It is kind of surprising that a man like John Edwards would be this open to destruction though. Perhaps his ego is so large that he really felt invincible. No wonder his wife was unfriendly to other women on the trail--she surely knows this about him, after 30 years of marriage. Great article!

I am very upset with all parties, because they are only thinking of themselves. Niether party stop to think about the wife and kids involved. He took his wife in marriage and stated that he would love only her, so why is it different? If he felt like he needed to be with someone else then he should have gotten a divorce. Hunter on the other hand needs to be a women a d say when you and your wife get a divorce then I will be with you, how would she feel if someone came a long and did this to her? Did you stop to hink of them? Now the children have to grow up knowing that thier dad is no better then someone else who has done this in the spot light. They all need tested, for all types of stuff because none of them were truthfull and still don't see the big picture what happens to the wife and kids. Stop defending yourselves and start saying your sorry to the people you really hurt.

I am very upset with the fact that everyone is trying to defend themselves withn this affair, but not once thought about his wife and kids. When they were in this so called affair did they stop to think what his wife and kids would feel? Did any stop to say hey it's not fair to them. For Hunter's girlfriend to be up on stage giving her side did she ever say Oh by the way Mrs. Edwards I am sorry for all the pain my girlfriend caused. I am so upset becasue these people did not stop to think about her or the kids. Now a child is involved why bring a child into the situation when you not even sure if he is gonna leave to be with you. He made prior commitments with his wife and he should value that alone. I feel for the wife and kids that are involved with this whole and and could care less for the two who started this mess. Never thought about who was doing whom or who was having sex with other people, because if you were faithful then this would have never happened. I hope they all gets AIDS tested and checked.

Why is everyone in such an uproar about a politician screwing around, don't you people get it, we all are and have been getting screwed for so long that when a politician gets his jollies, we cast him or her as "OH MY GAWD, O HE/SHE DIDN'T". HER CHILD WILL ALWAYS BE A REMINDER OF THE HURT THEIR MOTHER WENT THROUGH. IF THE OTHER WOMAN DID NOT CARE WHAT HER DAUGHTER WAS GOING TO GO THROUGH, WHY SHOULD EDWARDS CHILDREN. .

John Edward was probably felling OLD , he thought she was free. His intention was never to leave his wife, and I do not believe he loves the other woman . Like he said he did not think he was going to get caight. Her plan was for him to get caught hoping to take him away from his wife. It does not matter if she was 18, 42 or 50 years old the other woman knew it was wrong. The fact that she got pregnant at her age shows her EVIL INTENT. John Edwards will have to pay thru his nose and I HOPE HE WILL NEVER MARRY THAT OTHER WOMAN. EDWARDS will come to his sense and realize that he was TRAPPED and it cost him his political life. WOMEN that hate the wives and call them ugly names because they forgive their husband, they either went through that and they were left for another woman, or their father left their mother for another woman and they have a serios problem. This wives are VICTIMS and the husbands are the abusers. Anyway when a husband leaves a wife for another woman he is already showing you what he will do to you. Some women are not happy or have never been happy and do not like for someone else to be happy. eDWARDS WILL PAY FOR THIS FOR THE REST OF HIS WIVES LIFE AND HE WILL LEARN TO hate the other woman, which is good . PRAYER FOR MRS. JOHN EDWARDS, GOD BLESS HER WITH A HEALTHY LONG LIFE. I BELIEVE IN MIRACLES.

Wow, Rielle Hunter sounds like she could found her own branch of Scientology! The fact that John Edwards didn't just cast her off as a crazy freak leads me to believe that there still is something between them. The question is: what is it? Do they still have feelings for each other? Or is he the father of her 5-month-old daughter?

At her age, she can't be so naïve to believe that this will all blow over. Both the man the tabloids say is young Frances Hunter's father, and the one who claims to be, are married men. Rielle's sister says that lies continue to abound. The only other explanation is she's waitng for a tell-all book offer. In that case, she should hurry before this entire fiasco becomes irrelevant.

Truly a shame. The Union I'm a member of endorsed John Edwards. He talked a good game, but didn't
get the primary votes. The problem with the limelight is that it fools many into believing it to be the spotlight.
Nearly everyone plays a role when they are in the spotlight, betraying who they were and should have
