I am certain many men who lie about cheating are paying close attention to Mr. Edwards.
I'm also certain he will feel regret, and perhaps a very lonely regret for a long time to come.
The woman: It is amazing to me how many women will harm and tarnish the life of another female to fulfill her own selfish desires. My guess is that Elizabeth Edwards will teach a lesson to men and women about strength of character and decency.

I guarantee you, the reason "Rielle" said Elizabeth Edwards gave off negative vibes is because likely Elizabeth Edwards had a good idea what was going on. This Rielle is FULL OF ***, and herself. YOU BLEW IT when you had the chance to actually act as a journalist. Now, if we're lucky someone else will get to the bottom of it. She's a nut and so are you for hanging out with her, saying you really should have just "hung up" but didn't. Sounds like YOU liked her, as she is a manipulative, wacky witch. Sorry, I'm disappointed in this story and in your professionalism.

    PLEASE, Leave this familt alone.
It is spirital striptis that media is doing now.

call it what it is. a common, slutty bimbo brings down a sleazy, arrogant, "deserving" politician. edwards showed no respect for his wife - and even less respect for himself and the office he sought. yes, humans make mistakes; but this was just plain stupid.

Most men of wealth and power don't live by the same rules that you and I live by. We place them on a pedestal and then act surprised when they slip off that pedestal. What hypocrites we are. We can't stand the thought that them being human ... just like us. They pick their noses and scratch their butts just like us. Why are we so surprised. I was distressed to see the cameras and media poised at the Edwards driveway.
Come on folks, give the Edwards family some privacy. It reminds me of a bunch of vultures waiting to see blood. John Edwards made an error in judgement. "Let he who is without sin ..." Rather than waiting to see the blood, how about offering a prayer for the Edwards family.

I agree with you. We put these men at the top of the ladder and when they fall, we forget they are human. "Please, I say with you...let the man alone, and give them [Edwards] privacy."

re to :"agirlwhitabrain"I was wondering :did somebody picked the name for you or was it your personal choice?? For some reason I'll go with the latter, the one thing that doesn't quite fit is the "brain" part.Being certain that you're smart doesn't really mean you are.....(by the way the brain isn't this little thing hanging between your legs, they lied to you...)

Welcome to the story, Newsweek. What took you so long? Did you have to wait until you got permission to run it from Edwards, or did the embarrassment of being so late to the party--after the National Enquirer and Fox News no less!--finally make you realize that a handful of journalism professors might still consider you a news source? I would say "better late than never," but considering the fluff piece that is your take on the story, I'd have to say that in this case "never" would have been preferable to laying out your journalistic inadequacy for all to snicker at.

Edwards is a shallow a...hole. He deserves to be disgraced after falling off his New Aged Campaign mattress girlfriend. His wife is brilliant, sensitive & deserves more than the likes of him. After they lost their son to a tragic accident ,she underwent fertility treatments to give birth to the youngest children. Who knows this may have been the cause of her cancer. The only good thing from this is that he dropped out of the race & he will NEVER run for anything again.

Jezebel. Pure and simple. I mean, saying Eliizabeth Edwards has "bad energy"? Making a tv show that depicts women having adulterous affairs with married men to help break up with their wives?? Need I say more? On the flip side, however, we must remember that these married men also willing particpiated in destroying their families. Takes two.

    • Posted By: hanner @ 08/12/2008 12:23:34 AM

Satan is out to kill steal and destroy. You are exactly right about Jezabel. I have read the book "Unmasking the Jezabel Spirit" and it fits it to a T. She may think she loves him but the spirit behind it was to bring him down.

      • Posted By: hanner @ 08/12/2008 12:36:46 AM

        Sorry it's spelled JEZEBEL

  • Posted By: HollaYo @ 08/11/2008 11:33:35 PM

Edwards is human like us all. We need to let him alone and give him his privacy. And, as the word says...Let he without sin...

I think it's so cruel and so mean and evil to speak harshly about Mrs Edwards's medical condition. Please, be careful and know the WORD...before you speak. A word from the wise...Everyday in your health give thanks unto the Lord and pray for those who are weak and stricken by ailment.

Good grief, she sounds as empty headed as Edwards. No wonder they got along so well.

  • Posted By: rogerjj @ 08/10/2008 4:35:48 PM

Look, people, the simple truth is that Edwards is a relatively young, fit, horny male. We should applaud anyone who still has a strong libido at 55...as opposed to the average fat, unhealthy American of that age. Meanwhile, his wife had cancer. Who wants to have sex with someone who has cancer? And I doubt she was feeling very sexy either during her treatment. So, he has the opportunity to bang an attractive, vivacious woman during those long campaign days. And he goes for it. I'd much rather have a Look, people, sex is important. Sex is therapy, it makes us happier, less cranky. I'd much rather have leaders who are getting some on a regular basis -- with all the mental and physical health benefits from regular coitus -- rather than leaders who are NOT getting any action, and yet are probably distracted by thinking it about all the time. What I object to about Edwards is not that he was shagging this broad, but that he lied and lied. And he's STILL lying, since the child is obviously his.

I wonder if Mrs Edwards would share your same opinion especially if Sen. Edwards had brought home to her a nice case of HERPES or HIV. After all, Sen. Edwards "slept with" everyone else that this bimbo has ever had sex with.

      • Posted By: HolyRoller @ 08/10/2008 11:05:17 PM

loriw...you are absolutely correct. And from rumors...that is quite a few. But don't think for a minute, this is Edwards only hoochie. I'll bet it is a way of life. Usually is.

        NOBAMA!!!

        • Posted By: elizabethpaige @ 08/11/2008 11:47:55 PM

John Edwards admitted he had an 'affair' with Little Miss What'sHerName but that's not enough drama for you so you're taking the liberty of ratcheting it up, as in: "But don't think for a minute this is Edwards only hoochie."

loriw: oink oink - your 'sham' concern for Mrs. Edwards is as phony as a $3 bill. Do you think Mrs. Edwards appreciates you using her illness as an excuse to call her husband, the father of her children, a pig?
          .
How about you go and take care of your own husband for a change? He's either very neglected or very relieved that you are on these boards night and day.

        • Posted By: loriw @ 08/11/2008 7:41:06 PM

          Thank you Holy.

    • Posted By: VoiceFromWhoville @ 08/10/2008 9:48:01 PM

Oh yeah, I'll bet Edwards is MUCH happier now having boinked Hunter. I'm sure he's way less distracted, and he and his family are just living in utter bliss. Human sexuality is not as simple as just "shagging broads," to "make us less cranky." But someone who thinks that this skanky nutcase from South Orange is "an attractive, vivacious woman" probably wouldn't understand that.

  • Posted By: phugoid @ 08/11/2008 11:46:11 PM

She and John would make a great couple. A real loser who cheats on his sick wife and a total new age nutjob.

THE AUDACITY of the CREEPIEST CREEP.....to say that this took place when Elizabeth was in REMISSION. As if that it made him less of a CREEP ! His WIFE had cancer that had spread to her lymph nodes! You don't consider yourself in remission a year or two after you finish treatment if you had cancer in your lymph nodes. Any loving husband would know that the first few years after diagnoses is when cancer will most likely to return and YES. STRESS can bring CANCER BACK JOHN EDWARDS you can THANK YOURSELF for causing Elizabeth's CANCER to RETURN !!!!!

Okay...perhaps I am too different from others who would hang John Edwards for SINNING. I do not expect a candidate to be God, or in any way free from being like me---human.
