Soros??? double-dealing in the Caucasus oil market

Soros??? manipulation of the progressive media is highlighted in an article by Michael Barker, a doctoral student at Griffith University in Australia, titled ???The Soros Media ???Empire.?????? Soros??? role in ???democracy manipulation??? is cited in the article: ???The Soros Foundations??? most recent annual report shows that Soros still remains a force to be reckoned with among democracy manipulators, as the entire Soros Foundations Network distributed over $400 million worth of grants in 2006.???

Saakashvili???s own ties with ???progressive journalists??? linked to Soros are highlighted by his friendship with Scott Horton, a journalist with Harper???s. Horton hired Saakashvili in 1994 to work for him at the New York law firm of Patterson, Belknap, Webb & Tyler after the Georgian graduated from Columbia Law School. Other Patterson, Belknap et al. alumni include former New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani and current Attorney General Michael Mukasey. Saakashvili referred to Horton as his ???colleague??? at a July 2006 seminar at the neocon citadel, the American Enterprise Institute (AEI) in Washington, DC.

In January of this year, Saakashvili won the presidential election amid opposition charges of fraud. Opposition Labor Party officials charged that Saakashvili supporters voted more than once at multiple polling places. The verdict from Florida Democratic Representative Alcee Hastings, an impeached former federal judge, was that he saw no evidence of election fraud. Hastings was heading an election observer delegation from the Organization for Security and Cooperation on Europe (OSCE), an organization that his been co-opted by Soros.

In 2006, when Saakashvili???s police arrested opposition leaders, Konstantin Zatulin, an exiled former Georgian security chief and leader of the opposition Justice Party, told Moscow???s Ekho Moskvy radio station that one of those arrested in Georgia was the head of the ???Anti-Soros Movement.???

Russia is taking intense heat from not only the neocon media in its reprisal against Georgian aggression against South Ossetia, but also from the usual Soros-funded ???progressive??? media outlets, print, broadcast, and web-based.

WMR has taken quite a beating over the years from parties funded by Soros. However, we are working on a major initiative that will throw a significant monkey wrench into the manipulation of the media by Soros and his partners-in-crime.

I don't want to say that this war is right, here is everyone wrong, Georgia, USA, EU, Russia.
But what we see in the media its one side of the story, there is a horrific act of genocide towards Ossetians, when Saakashvilli, who refers to himself as king David the gatherer, decided to solve this problem by wiping of the population of S. Ossetia. Why western media is silent that Georgian artillery stormed Tshinvali(capital of Ossetia) at 1AM local time and shot civil buildings when people were asleep? Why no one says that Russian troops came almost 16 hours later? Why no one points that under Georgian attacks died 8% of all population? To compare if it would happen in New York this number would be 1,600,000? What is it as not genocide when 8% of all country is wiped off the face of Earth during two days?

A refugee woman said: "You can blame whomever you want, but in the 21st century, this is completely unacceptable," she said, upset that no one came to Georgia's rescue. "The rest of the world should be ashamed."

US refused Polands previous request for defence agreements? It is the United States that have been trying to convince Poland to let the US build rocket defence system on their soil, to protect the US against attack from Iran. It has been obvious that the US intention all along has been to use this system to further the aggression against Russia. United States has denied this all along, the US misleading the world has just been confirmed

  • Posted By: wnzin @ 08/15/2008 12:16:06 AM

How stupid does Russia think the US is? The US will support its allies in independence from Russia. Poland had concerns about Russia, specifically because of threats from Russia. The US bent over backwards to avoid offending Russia and refused Polands previous request for a defense agreement with the US. Poland had concerns about NATO acting quick enough <big surprise>. The US, given events, now understands Poland's concerns. The UN and NATO has been sidelined further by this.

I also noticed that suddenly over night US approved all condidtions Poland had to build the Rocket shield in their country. This has been under negotiation for years and suddenly now all Polish demands are met? Is US seeking a weapon against Russia to gain leverage in the US expantion into Eurasia?
I thought this was a rocket shield against Iran, not against Russia, like Putin has expressed concern about. How stupid does the United States think Russia are?

It's another Bush war to control the oil in Georgia.

  • Posted By: Glenno @ 08/14/2008 6:44:07 PM

    Who has control over Georiga?
Imagine if Russia poured millions into Canada and Mexico to manipulate their election (like US did in Ukraine and Georgia) in order to implement satelite states which will fight US interests and secure Russian dominance in the region. Then setting up numerous Russian army bases along your borders, soon to built also a rocket shield along your borders to gain first strike capabilities on America. The FSB support the anti-american government they implemented in Mexico with millions of dollars in arms. Then one day Mexico slaghters 2000 American civilians. American intervenes and pulls out. Now Russia will lecture America about aggression and imperialism. What would the American response be?

  • Posted By: ThatJerk @ 08/13/2008 12:53:45 AM

The G8 is soon to be the G7. While all the Russian's are pointing the finger at the USA I wonder if they know the world is pointing the finger at them. I can't recall any nation standing behind Russia in this attack.

It's all in your dream LOL

In the international media the background to the Russian-Georgian war is given starting from last week and the bombing of Tshinvali. The military conflict has actually been going on for some years with Russian military planes flying over Georgia and ???unidentified??? bombs and rockets falling into Georgia.

  • Posted By: Questions2 @ 08/14/2008 4:34:21 PM

The method Russia seems to be using in gaining its objective of restoring the Soviet Union is to separate a piece from another country and then move in its ???piecekeepers??? to keep that piece for itself.
In conclusion, the international community should make plans for reacting to the next Russian attack on its neighbour. The present reaction is inadequate since Russian forces are staying in Georgia. The next attack will come since the invasion of Georgia is premeditated and part of a bigger plan (Robert Kagan???s Aug. 11 article in The Washington Post). There are also plenty of ???frozen conflict??? opportunities that Russia can warm up ??? Nagorno-Karabakh in Azerbaijan, Eastern Ukraine that is mainly Russian-speaking, Transdniestria in Moldova, the Russian enclave of Kaliningrad between Poland and Lithuania (access rights for example), the mainly Russian-speaking Ida-Virumaa region of Estonia.

  • Posted By: System7 @ 08/14/2008 8:18:32 AM

In this war, Russian troops have killed about 100 Georgians but in these few days Georgian troops killed more than 1600 civilians! If Russian troops are cruel, then Georgian troops are 16 times worse!

    • Posted By: DumbPplSuck @ 08/14/2008 8:49:12 AM

But, why is Russia in Georgia to begin with? It seems to me to be something akin to if Florida tried to break away from the US, and then Cuba invaded through Florida into the US when we tried to get it back.

      • Posted By: Circus_left_but_the_clowns_are_left_behind @ 08/14/2008 2:48:05 PM

for the same reason US is in Iraq, Afganistan and Kosovo.

      • Posted By: Jill from Florida @ 08/14/2008 12:02:25 PM

        Plain and simple.
South Ossetia equals Kosovo. Georgia equals Serbia.
NATO, US & UK invaded Yugoslavia to free Kosovo. Now South Ossetia and Abkhazia (and Tibet, Darfur, etc) must be recognized as de facto independent regions.

If Florida fought and won it's independence from the US, then yes, it would be considered a de facto breakaway. And, Cuba COULD enter Florida (if invited BY FLORIDA) to drive out the US forces.

There are over 5,000 dead Georgians and BBC said the morgue in S. Ossetia has around 40 bodies.

    • Posted By: Circus_left_but_the_clowns_are_left_behind @ 08/14/2008 2:46:48 PM

Why won't they show it on TV then? For some strange reason I have not seen a single report from Tshinvali by the western media?

  • Posted By: ajaxtheleast @ 08/14/2008 12:59:04 PM

It takes a while, for the actual facts to emerge from a war or even from smaller "wars" such as this,
but if it can be proven here, without a doubt that, Georgia DID ---FIRST---KILL 2,000 CITIZENS,
regardless of any baiting by the Russian allies, then, just as America's invasion of a non-threatening sovereign country did, ,,, it seals the deal as to who are the good guys and who are the bad guys.

It's hard to believe that this killing of citizens really DID occure but if it did ,,,,how will Condi and her Diplomatic Corpse,,,,,,Corps handle it?,,,,,,Oh you're right!,,,Forgot,,,they'll handle it with
    numbers 936, 937, 938,,,,,,
