Like Obama, I had a father who deserted me at aged 2. I first saw him again (briefly) when I was 17. How do you think he/his views/religion/politics impacted me? Not at all! Again, like Obama, I was raised by my Mother's people and my views and values came from them. How is this so hard for people to understand unless they just don't want to accept the truth. Obama was raised - like most Americans - by a white Christian middle classed family.

NOT JUST THAT BUT NOT ONE PERSON CAN TELL ME WITH ANY TYPE OF INTELLECT HOW A BLACK MAN CAN BE RACIST TOWARDS WHITES OR ANTI AMERICAN(NOT SYNONOMOUS) WHO

      2.RAISED BY WHITE GRANDPARENTS
      3. HELPED GET A EX CARD CARRYING MEMBER OF THE KKK RE-ELECTED TWICE TO THE SENATE

There you go. A great piece of research and info. You need to post this everywhere. Voters need to know who this guy really is. This PROVES that Hussein has no problem with infanticide....As long as it gets him votes. He lacks character. He lacks conviction. He lacks courage. He is a Crook and a Fraud.

Any thoughts on Corsi's take on Catholicism and Judaism that I posted above, Roller?

(Specifically the parts where he called the Pope "senile", said that the priests are "buggering boys", and implied that John Kerry was both Jewish and that being Jewish was somehow inferior...)

What is so heroic about dropping napalm?

    • Posted By: Zig Zag @ 08/17/2008 2:11:03 PM

I don't get the whole war hero thing either. The guys gets shot down 15 minutes into his first mission, if anything, that makes him a poor pilot.

Don't get me wrong, all those years in captivity must have been horrible and a terrible thing to endure. But that makes him a expert of foreign policy and qualifies him to be commander in chief?

That scares me. If anything, I think it means that McCain will be too quick on the trigger, to quick to resort to a military solution. We've had eight years of that, and almost 5,000 service men and women have lost their lives because of it. We definitely don't need another four years of it.

      • Posted By: mrzoid @ 08/17/2008 2:14:25 PM

Yeah, but he's got a whole bunch of human intrest stories out of it. They keep getting more and more fantastic too. I bet Johnny Mac caught a fish "this big" in the Mekong Delta.

        • Posted By: Zig Zag @ 08/17/2008 2:34:27 PM

Of course, if McCain wants to grab a rifle, strap on a couple of clips of ammunition, fly to Pakistan, and single handly capture Bin Laden, then I'll give him props for being a war hero.

Until then, I would like see a few ads on what he actually plans to do for this country instead of all the attack ads I've seen to date.

When a guy has to write a 40-page point-by-point essay to counter ONE BOOK there must be something wrong with the guy! And if the author is such a discredited garbage fly, why does Obama devote a moment of time to it?
This is not how the President will have to contend with all the worlds' bad guys! Counter-pointing the likes of Bin Laden?
    That's appeasement!
Now Obama! Compose a rebutal to my post here, Because you are setting the president of HAVING TO for your stupid college-educated sheltered self!
There are more books coming out! There always are!

    • Posted By: TheVigil @ 08/17/2008 1:59:38 PM

      "Stupid college-educated...self"?

What on Earth is your problem with education? You angry? Jealous because college-educated people are more skilled and get paid more as a result of it? Education increases our GDP and our ability to stay competitive in the modern world. Our technology sector is one of the few that are KEEPING AMERICA AFLOAT, and it is thanks to our colleges and universities that it even exists. Manufacturing's been sold overseas. The automotive industry is decimated if not destroyed under the weight of its pension obligations. Retail is in trouble.

Do you want to call Bill Hewlett and Dave Packard "sheltered"? They went to Stanford University and started a company, HP, that generated $91.7B in sales for America last year. How about Andrew Carnegie? He didn't get to go to college as a poor immigrant, but after helping found the company that eventually became part of U.S. Steel (which generates $1.2 TRILLION in net income now), he helped found Carnegie Mellon University and donated $2M to Scottish universities, a tremendous sum at the time, in addition to building more than 3000 public libraries in the States. How about Sergei Brin and Larry Page? They founded Google, which now generates $1.2B in sales and is considered a world technology leader, and both were graduate-school educated.

Am I the only one anymore who WANTS our President to be educated, not doing whiskey shooters with the guys at the bowling alley? Am I the only one who wants him/her to have a lot of experience in dealing with the rest of the world?

McCain's college-educated too, by the way. When were you planning to call him an elitist?

    • Posted By: Iconoblaster @ 08/15/2008 6:36:35 PM

OK, hap....and if I slander you with a book full of lies, will we be counting the number of pages it takes to refute the slander to determine if it is true? Its very easy to say "thehappyamerican is a drug-using, former Communist sympathizer, philanderer, Muslim radical, convicted of felony fraud and baby-snatching." It takes only one sentence to make those claims... but consider how much you would have to write to refute them, especially if much of the audience was already eager to believe them. Your thesis is ridiculous.

      • Posted By: savvy813 @ 08/16/2008 9:47:58 AM

LOL, you'd say there was something wrong if Obama didn't respond, or responded too lightly, or responded anything.

      • Posted By: AskPlus @ 08/15/2008 6:55:44 PM

Sadly, we have a lot of eager to believe. Moreso, we have even more eager to not research.

    • Posted By: Mimi13 @ 08/15/2008 3:54:14 PM

Do you remember the 2004 election by any chance? Truth is not the issue. Lies sunk Kerry's campaign because he believed that he did not have to counter scumbags spewing garbage. Obama simply will not make the same mistake. What's wrong with being college-educated, anyway?

      • Posted By: pumapurr @ 08/15/2008 5:16:25 PM

Kerry was sunk because Americans detected that he was a haughty prig who resented taking the time to talk down to them. Obama is of the very same species and he will be sunk not by nefarious swiftboaters, but by the audacity of arugula.

        • Posted By: 12waz @ 08/15/2008 8:44:18 PM

    • Posted By: tdatkinson80 @ 08/15/2008 6:27:04 PM

He devotes time to it because if he doesn't, this book could destroy his candidacy. I don't know if you were on the planet earth in 2004, but ridiculous books like this can bring down presidential candidates. They don't even have to be true. If he doesn't go on the attack, the American people will believe that he is secretly Bin Laden or David Koresh or whatever garbage this author is peddling. Americans tend to believe anything. I am going to start a rumor that Obama is actually secretly having sex with Santa Claus. I might even write a book about it. Who knows, it might make it on the NYT Best Seller List.

    • Posted By: AskPlus @ 08/15/2008 3:50:34 PM

Did you read the article? He 'has to' dispute it because bloggers such as yourself might actually be lowly enough to believe it. Even though his topics of contention have all been resolved, dissolved and dismissed - until bloggers like yourself say again the guy telling lies is honest, and the "stupid-college-educated" guy fighting for truth is dishonest. In a perfect world, you would understand how and why these lies are being perpetrated, but you don't. So, you just make stuff up.

THERE IS A REASON WHY BUSH AND MCCAIN SOUND MORE DEFINITE THAN OBAMA IN THEIR ANSWERS. IT'S CALLED A LACK OF INTELLECT.

OBAMA , BILL CLINTONAND KERRY ARE BOTH ATTORNEYS. IN LAW SCHOOL THEY TEACH YOU HOW TO SEE BOTH SIDES OF AN ISSUE SO TO BE PREPARED FOR YOUR OPPONENT. IT TEACHES YOU HOW TO EXPRESS YOURSELF INTELLIGENTLY AND ARTICULATELY

    ON THE OTHER HAND
MCCAIN AND BUSH ARE "D-" AND "C" STUDENT WHO ARE NOT ATTORNEYS. PEOPLE LIKE THAT HAVE LIMITED INTELLECTUAL PROWESS. THEREFORE THEY SEE LESS NUANCES AND COMPLEXITIES AND THEY EXPRESS THEMSELVES AS SUCH.

THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES IS THE MOST COMPLEXED AND NUANCED JOB ON THE PLANET. JUST LOOK AT OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH CHINA. WHEN YOU ARE LIMITED LIKE BUSH AND MCCAIN YOU END UP IN THINGS SUCH AS ..........................WARS WITH NO REASON THAT ARE CHARGED BY ARROGANCE AND IGNORANCE. THAT'S WHY YOU HAD THE THEORY WE WOULD BE TREATED AS "LIBERATORS" WHEN EVERY SCHOLAR WAS SCREAMIN WE WOULD BE SEEN AS "INVADERS" AND THEREFORE OUR BRAVE MEN AND WOMEN SUFFERED.

    Eleanor,
Are you actually attempting to make me believe that George McGovern lost the 1972 Presidential election by a electoral count of 510 to 13 because the Republican attack machine misrepresented his beliefs?

Your comments show a breathtaking lack of even the slightest desire to tell the truth. If the different outcome you desire continues to elude you here how about you move to the workers utopia in say.....Cuba.

One for sirhc. One of the main problems in America is that there appears to be people that actually believe that Lawyers somehow possess superior intellectual capabilities. This may be true in some extremely limited numbers however, the rank and life trained lawyers are not expansive thinkers, they are work a day Johnnies that sell their time for a pittance and produce very little if anything that improves the quality of life in America. Oh ,in addition to that you are an idiot.

What I don't understand is how Corsi managed to write this book and get it published with the 700 or so (according to him) footnotes in the couple of months since Obama won the nomination. How did Corsi actually do this in the time available? Or did he start this book and one on Hillary many months ago so he could go with whoever won? Regardless, this is the way the Republicans run for President so Obama better hit back and hit back hard. God only knows, there's enough stuff to brand Grandpa McCain with.

    • Posted By: LuLuBelle @ 08/17/2008 1:35:44 PM

Corsi said he started writing this book two years ago when he knew that Obama was planning a run at the presidency. He was preparing for it way before Obama ever announced.

I am amazed at how many of the Obama supporters on here just call the book crap but haven't bothered to read it! Talk about having a closed mind.

    • Posted By: thehappyamerican @ 08/15/2008 11:36:16 PM

And mysteriously, Obama quickly comes up with a 40 page rebuttal in detail to this book!! HEY? Maybe there's a scam here?
An author wants the money and Obama want's an attack on his character he can control? So why not collaborate? Rebuttal prepared with the book?Author does make the money. Obama ACTS to rebut the attack! And we're all supposed to go " WOW!"
See it as the people fainting at Obama rallies... until the press started to feel it was staged! then, it stopped! Hmmm?
Maybe some credible journalist will put together link between author and Obama?
That could happen you know! Soon!

      • Posted By: raddave @ 08/16/2008 1:31:56 AM

The book has been out a week now, so there has been time to come up with a rebuttal. Do you honestly think that Obama would be able to collaberate with the person who co-wrote "Unfit for Command?"

How else could he conjure up all these supposed facts and figures that come out of the Republican Lies and Innuendos Playbook on such short notice? And speaking of short notice...if you scan all of his so-called contributions which invariably involve writing a consolidation of lies and suggestions, you will note that his Modus Operandi is to simply cuts and paste the same droning drivel all over everyone else's legitimate commentary...like a rash. Beware this "Sheep in Wolf's Clothing" from the RNC and all those 527s that pay him to push this Yo-Yo Corsi's rag upon you. In all probability...The Right Wing 527s have set up two accounts to get Corsi's silly tome out and about to distract Americans from the truth...(1) To pay for the publication in the first place and ... (2) To bUY up enough copies of this future termite bait in order to pump the sales up enough for it to make a Best Seller list! Draw your own conclusions... but IMHO...any so-called "Independent" that never has a decent thing to say about any Democrats...but is always filled to the brim with all that Republican Bile...is full of crap and a fraud!

Barack has nothing to fight back with and the voters will soon see even more under minded developments of Obama. I call him the Harvey Dent of Washington because he plays both sides of the coin. I strongly feel that all of our political leaders will say whatever it takes to win, but only a handful generally care about the people they want to serve and McCain is one of them. Our friend (Harvey Obama Dent) has nothing too offer but, false promises and a lack of inexperience that a kid in middle school can see. In our best interest as Americans ( because we are all Americans even Obama) is to elect McCain in office and put him on notice. Force McCain to do what he says and act on what needs to be acted on, because if we turn the country over to Harvey then we are in for a nightmare of higher taxes, lost in translation when it comes to foreign policy's, and very unguarded with a president who has no experience. I have always said that Barack if Black on Sunday, White on Tuesday, and Confuse on Wednesday through Saturday and we can afford this man to be our leader. President Bush is the most hated man in our country, maybe even on the international scene as well, but he as kept us safe and for that I give him much respect. Say what you want Bush he has no identity, problem like Obama and he has made the tough decisions which something Obama will never do. America has itself to blame when it comes to respect because we have not shown our current leader the respect he deserves and voting for Harvey our of revenge will not be a smart move. Barack can't and doesn't have anything to fight back with because there is nothing and we need to come the that reality and move on.

McCain, who came in second for missing the most number of votes in the senate - just behind a senator in acoma. He certianly has a strange way of serving.

  • Posted By: Cazador1972 @ 08/16/2008 5:53:44 PM

Mrs. Clift hits the proverbial nail on the head. It seems to me that what the Obama campaign's definition of "aggressiveness" is not aggressive enough. It is not enough just to reply to McCain, THEY HAVE TO ATTACK HIM. The Obama campaign is aware of this since every Democratic pundit worth its salt has been saying this for weeks. Thing is they seem a little hesitant on the take. With all the money they have raised, I'm just not seeing enough commercials attacking McCain's record, if anything, I'm seeing more McCain commercials attacking Obama. Not surprisingly, McCain is closing the gap a bit. I wasn't crazy about Hillary Clinton, but I supported her because I knew she'd throw the kitchen sink at McCain.

As Paul Begala said, if the Obama campaign allows the McCain campaign to make this election about Obama, then Obama is in serious trouble. So far, it looks like he is allowing that to happen.

Barack Obama, prove me wrong. Please.

    • Posted By: JoeDoaks @ 08/16/2008 6:34:02 PM

Not to worry...Anybody who's skull looks like Lon Chaney, Sr. in that famous scene where the Phantom of the Opera rips off his mask, exposing those dark, empty and dull eyes with that famous MacCain comb-over and that wierd skeletal grin, doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell of getting elected president. In the end...Barack Obama will prove that "John MacCain...Your Kung-Fu...is NOT strong" and all this scribbling gibberish we keep getting from all these paid Right-Wing Wing-Nut Bloggers lurking in each and every blog on the net will amount to just so much dry humping in the backseat of the rickety Republican sedan in the parking lot of their soon to be failed Republican National Convention. Go Barack!

I wish I had your enthusiasm but at this point I don't think it's justified. Obama is not leading decisively in the polls (his lead has shrunk in the last month) and I continue to see, during the Olympics especially, more ads by McCain than Obama. It's not enough to defend his record, he needs to attack McCain.

barry and axelrod et al have never run against the GOP machine - as was clear with his use of race. They have no clue what strategy to use and they are too arrogant to ask Senator & Mr Clinton. Maybe donna brazile is asking herself again why she didn't have Mr Clinton campaign for Gore. Is there anyone who has survived better under the GOP attack? (and barry's own attack dogs.) barry's hubris and need to conquer the world is leaving him wide open to attack by the GOP. Even some barry fans have had enough of his waffling and changing positions. He became the presumptive nominee by using race against the Clintons (not debatable) and Iraq and many other things which he softened on to win the general. What's barry gonna do when/if he wins in November? Not a single barry fan can predict - nor can his dearly beloved.MSM who got scooped by the National Inquirer! Says it all.

Clue to barry: McCain can't win. It's your presidency to lose. So why aren't you ahead by 20 like you predicted you'd be at convention time, Where's the 10pt bump from your Landstuhl visit. That on top of your flipflops did it for many people. And you won't be able to blame it on the bitter racist feminazis and bitter bowling alley babes a'totin' their guns and a'quotin' their Bibles. It'll be your fault and yours alone. And it's not like you've ever been above the board, above the fray, a man of integrity, a transcender and certainly not a uniter. You can't unite the party and yet you want to unite the world. You're a fraud. Period. The MSM is corrupt. Period. Remember your rally cry in Philly: "I WILL NEVER LIE TO YOU!"? You were at that moment. Haha

McCain, as did Hillary, complains that Obama gets so much more media attention yet doesn???t it seem that Obama is actually held to stricter scrutiny? I mean no one expects McCain to be perfect as everyone knows he isn't but isn't that exactly what they look for in Obama as they criticize everything, fault any supposed flaw and creatively attack him on everything? The Republicans have instigated a constant and highly critical observation of him that exceeds what his opponents are subjected to and anything noted other than perfection brings suggested rejection. Of course that is totally unfair as no one is really perfect and the only real valid question should be whether he is better than his opponent, not super human needing to be without any fault but rather just measurably better. There are those that would like the voters to base their decision solely on whether Obama is without blemish, while knowing no one is, and when finding him with imperfection then voting for McCain. The problem with that is it is over looking the many flaws and imperfections in McCain and not really considering who will actually do the better job. It would seem that the voters really need to be more critical of the critics.

McCain is 72 and has been in Washington for many years. Obama is 47 with 4 years in Washington , 2 of which has been to campaign making speeches relentlessly. McCain has lived a pretty full life, has much experience and a significant amount of self-led legislature he has written and passed working in a bi-partisan manner. To have as much baggage that Obama does (do you really want me to post it? Maybe I will be back later with baggage info if I have enuf energy) at such a young age to the degree that he has and to have the bare minimum of experience in Washington and definitely an insignificant amount of self-led legislature in the 2 years he was was conducting himself as a US senator prior to going on the road making hope and change orations for the last two years. That is what is scary; the amount of baggage this man has with nothing under his belt to show for it. VERY scary.

          • Posted By: NewsWkDickG @ 08/16/2008 10:18:02 PM

What is really very scary to me is continuing with more of the same. In 2000 & 2004 we saw dishonesty used in campaigns, over the last eight years we have seen a grossly dishonest Presidency that has cost us de4arly and now we are seeing another campaign run with dishonest smear tactics. John McCain thinks it is funny as he says 'you have to have a sense of humor' and he has not only strongly supported all that Bush-Cheney have done but he has also promised more of the same. That is what is VERY SCARY!!

            • Posted By: sharenews @ 08/16/2008 11:38:18 PM

To me he is definitely not another Bush. That campaign tactic of pushing the McBush talk, more of the same and the talk about him being soooooo old tactic did not work on me. Ive done my research and would be comfortable with McC as Prez. But that is okay. We will just agree to disagree.

What baggage? If you're talking about a few acquaintances and a brilliant ex-pastor, the man's a saint. Remember Bill Clinton - now that was some samsonite! And he still got elected TWICE and lived through the final Grande Scandale of his last years just fine.

If you think Obama has baggage, I'd like to know what it is you're refering to = becuase most of it is LIES and DISTORTION published ceaselessly by ignoramouses who still have the gall to call themselves American. They trash American values and calle themselves "patriots" - they're the ones who voted twice for Bush and who vow to vote for McCain - and they've brought this country from a superb economic position thanks to Bill Clinton, in a generous buget surplus - to a terrible deficit and a collapse of the home lending business, with credit cards to follow.

It was McCain who was involved in the S&L crisis under Bush Sr. - that was Neal Bush too. The McCains and Bushes are terrible for our economy, bad for the country's image overseas (terrible, too) and a drain on our national army, navy and marines. Forget the Republicans, they're toast. They suck and they know it. They're losing right and left and they won't win the White House either. They do not deserve to call themselves American - they're anything BUT patriotic and they HATE government. They're traitors.

Corsi is a nut case, and everyone knows that after reading the things he has said. Corsi cares about one thing, enriching his pocketbook and the more free press he gets, like with MSM, the more he makes.

Maybe we should all not worry about him and demand answers to questions more important to most people. Who is going to give us the leadership to help solve our economic problems, quagmire, be reasonable raising taxes because it is going to happen no matter who you support. Who is going to lead in helping solving our energy issues, the economy, etc, etc., etc. Corsi's book doesn't help me with those issues that are important to me.

Everyone has it wrong. Corsi???s journalistic abomination, the Obama Nation, is not an attack on Obama. It???s an attack on America.
In fact the Republican party, especially Karl Rove, fully understand the words of Hitler???s propaganda minister, Joseph Goebbels: ???If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.???
Like gullible Germans in the early 1930's we fell for Republican lies on 2000 and 2004. As a result we have an administration that lies so much to the public that they believe their own lies. We are fighting a disastrous war in Iraq that has left thousands dead and left us with a national debt of $ 9 billion. Osama bin Laden is still at large. Although, at Rick Warren???s faith formum last night, McCain swore to capture him, as if McCain is going to do it single-handedly - he???s had
7 years to do this. It hasn???t happened. What assurance do we have that it will happen if elect McCain. We???ve outed a CIA agent who incidentally was gathering intelligence on Iran???s nuclear capabilities. Everyone in the Republican party believes they???re above the law. (Consider Dick Cheney???s declaration that the vice presidency is not part of the executive branch or Karl Rove???s recent contempt of Congress citation.)
Corsi???s book is just a test to see if the Republican can still lie and get away with it. McCain can claim he???s maverick (A lie because he rubber-stamped every one of Bush???s disastrous decisions.) He can claim he had nothing to do with the book, just like he can claim that he had nothing to do with any other dirty trick. But we do the research, we???ll find that Karl Rove operatives are very much McCain???s campaign committee. (Check out the latest edition of Hightower???s weekly.)
Obama has already issued a 40 page rebuttal. What else should he do? The bottom line rests with us the voters. If we vote for McCain - be rest assured we???ll get 4 more years of George Bush, except the consequences will be worse - MUCH worse.
    Do we want that?

???Since the primaries ended, on-air evaluations of Barack Obama have been 72% negative (vs. 28% positive).  That???s worse than John McCain???s coverage, which has been 57% negative (vs. 43% positive) during the same time period.???
Center for Media and Public Affairs (CMPA), June 8, 2008 to July 21, 2008.
The media also falls into the same trap. The republicans repeatedly say the media is too liberal. The media feels it has to counter that image with negative reporting. But it doesn't work because, as you point out, voters believe what they hear repeatedly, even when that is not the case.
???The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey, found that 49% of voters believe most reporters will try to help the Democrat with their coverage.???

The media needs to keeps its focus on informing the pubic on the issues so the public can make an informed decision.

Lately, the Democrats and particularly their helpers in the Old Media have gotten rather touchy about their man Obama. I wonder why? Could it be that they are looking at the Corsi book, not as a conservative smear, but as a gift, and one they can use to make the case that Obama is being swift-boated? And if they can do that, then, maybe, just maybe, they can make all those well-documented negatives about Obama fade enough into the background to persuade those persuadable voters to vote for him.

Can Newsweek be more in the tank for Obama? When you people sober up, you and the other Barakaholics in the news media who are "wishing for a different outcome", you'll realize how out of touch you really are. If Obama is wishing for a different kind of campaign, then he should condemn Daily Kos, Huffington Post , NY Times and all of the other surrogates who will do anything to get The One coronated. It's actually quite easy to define The One: It's all in there in his own works, actions and deeds. Which adds up to one big empty suited politician, who has zero success as a law professor, zero success as a "community organizer, zero success as a Senator from Illinois and zero success as a US Senator. A for effort though. But the Emporer has no clothes.

The problem with attack campaigning is simple, combating it is anything but.
Far too many voters go to the polls and vote based on some emotional response rather than voting for what is best for America or even what is best for them.
They get focused on some tiny and unimportant emotional point, we see it here in these comments much more often than any reasonable argument as to why one candidate is better for American versus the other.

We see anti Obama Hillary supporters for instance, or closet racists,

This campaign should be a no brainer it's clear what the republican party has to offer and what they have done to America and to think about continuing in the direction, Nixon, Reagan and both Bush's have taken us is ludicrous.

None the less some will indeed vote for more of the same to get even with Obama because he prevailed in the primary or because they think Obama is a closet Muslim or because they are indeed racist some will vote who have no clue what so ever as to what the candidates promise and how it might affect their lives.
Someone pointed out the lack of sufficient grey matter to discern the facts as they apply to the important issues facing us all is evident in these people and that is the problem, I have to agree with him.
Because emotions have no brains, but emotions did get Nixon elected and reelected, it got Reagan elected and reelected, and it got Bush elected and reelected and America spirals deeper and deeper into oblivion.

It was the middle class that made America great and a beacon in the world, not these presidents who view the middle class as the enemy.

well collectivism is communism and this is the trash that Obama is spewing so if you like the views of a Marxist maybe all of you little socialist libs might consider moving to China or Russia and see what all that hogwash you are spewing is all about. Believe me I'm no fan of McCain or Bush but Obama actually scares me to death.

      • Posted By: raddave @ 08/17/2008 12:11:08 AM

What scares me to death is that closed minded, ignorant, neanderthals such as yourself can actually vote.

read the constitution then read the communist manifesto then tell me which one Obamma is reading from it is pretty obvious to those of us that can actually read. Oh I'm sorry your a liberal you may need pictures I don't think they made a copy of either with pictures so you probably won't ever be able to catch up with the real world.I'm sorry

Liberals are tagged as elitist, elitist are educated, so I suppose I can read, even if I am from Alabama. Obama's platform has nothing to do with the communist manefesto, see above my reply to your conspiriacy theory.

Also, FYI. Russia is not longer a communist country, in case you missed it, the Soviet Union collapsed in 1991.

What would you call a country where a "President" refuses to give up power so he installs an hand picked puppet man and then makes himself the Prime Minister....definitely not a Democratic Republic to me...

                • Posted By: raddave @ 08/17/2008 6:42:06 AM

                  Authoritarian

Medvedev was actually elected as President. Putin is very popular in Russia and as is successor, Medvedev did benifit from this. Monitoring agencies did not report any fraud in the election. I have no illusion that Medvedev is anything but a figure head.

O has much bigger worries than this book ... he better get his butt back here and get to work! I keep asking myself ... is there something I'm missing, are they going to do a big switcharoo at the convention or something, what the hell are the dems doing, because it looks to me like he is trying to lose. I hope he has something magnificant planned, because he has never looked weaker.

barry's never fought the GOP and it shows.

  • Posted By: mrzoid @ 08/16/2008 11:41:33 AM

The Republicans are doing a masterful job of defining Barack Obama? God i cant wait until the dirt about McCain starts coming out and the GOP starts screaming foul. I think what i mind more than anything else is this assclown who has written these books making millions doing so. I'm not sure he even believes what he writes; i think he may just see the audiences propensity to buy any piece of libelous crap that is produced about Democratic candidates. He is the worst kind of human, the kind that will put the quest for a buck ahead of his countries best intrest. I hope karma brings down some serious hurt on him.
