YEAH- VOTE OBAMA AND SAY GOODBYE TO THE USA. VENEZUELAN PREZ CHAVEZ CANNOT WAIT UNTIL OBAMA IS ELECTED. SHOULDN'T HTAT BE A WARNING? HOW ABOUT THE FACT THAT HE STILL HAS NOT PROVEN HIS PATRIOTISM. I AM NOT GOING TO VOTE FOR OBAMA JUST BECAUSE HE IS BLACK AND THAT'S "THE RIGHT THING TO DO" OR TO BE A PART OF HISTORY. I ALSO DO NOT WANT MORE OF MY PAYCHECK TO SUPPORT MORE NON-WORKING, LAZY, 3RD/4TH GENERATION WELFARE RECIPIENTS! WHAT HAPPENED TO HAVING PRIDE IN OUR COUNTRY? IF YOU DON'T LOVE THE USA AND WHAT THE CONSTITUTION WAS ORIGINALLY MEANT TO PROTECT, THEN FRICKIN' LEAVE!

McCain isn't the right choice... if you like what all Bush has done, vote for McCain.. If you want a change, vote for Obama! Either way, I still see both of them as NOT good choices... Hillary would've been SO much better!!! She would've had my vote 100%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But, my choice this year is Obama!

    • Posted By: 4USA2MORROW @ 11/04/2008 4:03:28 PM

Obama and Hillary would have been the winning ticket hands down! She'll be back around in 2012! Keep your eyes open! :)

I read over these comments and am amazed at how black and white people can be with their political positions. In my view both parties leave something to be desired and I'm still not sure we really are a truly a representative democracy except at election time. Lobbyists, special interest , corporations and the rich seem to command America, not you and I.

Until people educate themselves on the true bigger issues and stop being influenced by political doublespeak and manipulation of truth, the common people will always be on the receiving end of the next big "bubble" and $700 billion bailout...and more empty promises and play on fears at election time.

This year I made my decision based upon my own independent research, how candidates voted historically, whether their approach was positive or negative, and overall ability to articulate a specific plan for change. I really don't care if my president is an Asian female Independent Mormon or Male white gay democrat...what I care about is the facts and my belief in their ability to move us towards a truly representative democracy, not the embarassing sham we have now.

Less we forget that the Legislature creates our new laws and makes most of the decisions for out country, and at last look the Democratic Party has the majority. They are as much to blame as the President. Didn't the President veto this bailout that was past several times before excepting it? If he had excepted it the first time the way it was written, we all would have been in worse shape than we are. As far as the war is concerned, I am not a supporter of the war, but I am a strong supporter of our military! These military Men and Women have joined the services to protect our country. Combat is what they are trained to do, so if they are over there defending our country for us, we need to show support for them! A lot of these Men and Women that have served in the war feel that we need to be there. So is it right to just up and pull them out?? Whomever the next president elect will be, they will not be able to fulfill every obligation that he has promised. I just hope that he can work for the people of the United States, and we all can get through the next four years with our jobs and homes. I think that we all need to take blame for some of our economy due to greed. We need to live within our means and not blame someone else if they can't afford it when the bills start coming in.

ITS FUNNY HOW THE MEDIA BLOWS OFF THE FACT THAT OBAMA IS ONLY HALF BLACK..NO OFFENSE TO ANYONE , BUT THE WORLD NEEDS TO SPEAK THE TRUTH AND THEN LET AMERICANS VOTE FOR WHO THEY WANT

    • Posted By: Gleeson @ 11/04/2008 4:02:40 PM

TOO LATE HOCKEY NUT!! WHAT YOU SAID HERE IS HIGHLY OFFENSIVE TO ANYONE WITH A NORMAL MIND. IT'S RACIST, UNAMERICAN!!! PLEASE DON'T WEAR YOU'RE IGNORANCE ON YOUR SLEEVE. IT TAKES ALL THE FUN OUT OF WIPING KETCHUP ON IT........Why are we shouting ?

The tax breaks McCain is going to give to big OIL Companies - I guess that's spreading the wealth.

    • Posted By: pllortz @ 11/04/2008 4:02:17 PM

Do you not realize that Obama voted for Big Oil Tax Breaks?

    • Posted By: hardworkinman @ 11/04/2008 3:55:21 PM

Big companies do not pay taxes the same way you and I do. They build their taxes into the sales price of their goods, whether it be oil, corn, milk, or cars. The person that pays corporate tax is anyone that uses the goods or services provided. Yes Exxon has 18billion in profit last quarter. But they paid 34 billion in taxes. Hey I need some groceries, I'm gonna come shop at your house and take from your pantry. Spread the Wealth- It's only patriotic.

    WOW! WHAT IF !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Obama/Biden vs McCain/Palin: What if the presidential candidates exchanged race?

    Think about it.

Would the country's collective point of view be different?

    Ponder the following:

What if the Obamas had paraded five children across the

stage, including a three month old infant and an unwed,

    pregnant teenage daughter?

What if John McCain was a former president of the Harvard

    Law Review?

What if Barack Obama finished fifth from the bottom of his

    graduating class?

What if McCain had only married once, and Obama was

    divorced?

What if Obama was the candidate who left his first wife

after she was severely disfigured in a car accident?

What if Obama had met his second wife in a bar and had a

long affair while he was still married?

What if Michelle Obama was the wife who not only became

addicted to pain killers but also acquired them illegally

    through her charitable organization?

What if Cindy McCain had graduated from Harvard?

What if Obama had been a member of the Keating Five?

(The Keating Five were five United States Senators accused of

corruption in 1989, igniting a major political scandal as

part of the larger Savings and Loan crisis of the late 1980s

    and early 1990s.)

What if McCain was a charismatic, eloquent speaker?

What if Obama couldn't read from a teleprompter?

What if Obama was the one who had military experience that

included discipline problems and a record of crashing seven

    planes?

What if Obama was the one who was known to display

publicly, on many occasions, a serious anger management

    problem?

What if Michelle Obama's family had made their money

    from beer distribution?

What if the Obamas had adopted a white child?

You could easily add to this list. If these questions

reflected reality, do you really believe the election numbers

would be as close as they are?

This is what racism does. It covers up, rationalizes and

minimizes positive qualities in one candidate and

emphasizes negative qualities in another when there is a

    color difference.

    Educational Backgrounds ???

    Barack Obama:

Columbia University - B.A. Political Science with a

    Specialization in International Relations.

Harvard - Juris Doctor (J.D.) Magna *** Laude

    Joseph Biden:

University of Delaware - B.A. in History and B.A. in

    Political Science.

Syracuse University College of Law - Juris Doctor (J.D.)

    vs.

    John McCain:

United States Naval Academy - Class rank: 894 of 899

    Sarah Palin:

Hawaii Pacific University - 1 semester

North Idaho College - 2 semesters - general study

University of Idaho - 2 semesters - journalism

    Matanuska-Susitna College - 1 semester

University of Idaho - 3 semesters - B.A. in Journalism

Education isn't everything, but this is about the two highest

offices in the land as well as our standing in the world.

Entitlement checks are for people who WERE working until the REPUBLICANS drove the economy of this country off shore - now we can't get a job! That is what the Entitlement check is for - oh or we could do an idiotic republican move and borrow 7 billion from China and hand it out to the American People so they can pay off their debt. We will be the United States of China within the next 8 years if McCain wins. There is no way a republican cabinet can clean up this mess that Bush caused.

    • Posted By: hardworkinman @ 11/04/2008 4:01:43 PM

These same stupid Republicans offer you the opportunity to get grants for more education, so you can have a useful skill that will make it so you of worth to a company. This country was founded on hard work, and people willing to do the work. The end of this country will be the entitlement crowd. The only thing you are entitled to as a human being is the air that you breath. The rest you have to work for. Food is not free, unless you work to grow it yourself. A roof over you head is not free, unless you work to build it yourself. Education is not free, you have to study and work hard to attain knowledge.

This country has been run on fear long enough like some one said United we stand Divided we fall, So think about that a sec. Who cares who the president is they both will tax us there is no other way to pay the debt of this worthless war that we are fighting. The great thing about america is that we get knocked down and get right back up and try agian so if you are with me gimme a hell ya.

  • Posted By: NOCHANGE08 @ 11/04/2008 4:01:16 PM

I am concerned for our Nation if Obama wins. I believe that we will be stuck in a hell for 4 years if he is our next president. VOTE MCCAIN!

I think the idea of a black hitler is hilarious, too funny for me to be offended

  • Posted By: Jeff A @ 11/04/2008 4:00:06 PM

Typical... your comment brings up abortion, the bible, and arbitrary comments about Obama not loving the country. There is NO substance there. Perhaps those of us voting FOR him care about his plans for the economy, his policies towards foreign relations, his perspective on issues facing many of us making less than 250K, his good judgement on subjects such as preemptive war... you know, little things like that. I guess that makes us idiots..."classy" you say?

  • Posted By: mrtibbs00 @ 11/04/2008 4:00:02 PM

Since when is socialism a way to solve our country's problems? Spread the wealth??? Universal health care is such a great idea too and I would be all for it, but its the fact that it doent work, because SOCIALISM doesnt work. I hope you all like lots of bureaucracy too, because its going to be everywhere you turn. You probably wont even be able to talk to your kids teacher's without going through a bureacrat first. I think I'd rather stay an AMERICAN, thank you

YOU MCCAIN/PALIN PROLIFERS CAN SHOVE THAT RIGHT UP YOUR REAR ENDS. HOW DARE YOU AS A WOMAN LET SOMEONE TELL YOU WHAT YOU CAN AND CANNOT DO WITH YOUR BODY! WHEN AN INNOCENT YOUNG GIRL GETS RAPED AND OUR GOVERNMENT FORCES HER TO HAVE A CHILD AND GIVE UP HER ENTIRE LIFE BECAUSE OF SOMEONE ELSE'S ARRAGNACE. LISTEN TO YOURSELVES. IGNORANT WOMEN! YOU MAKE ALL FEMALES LOOK BAD!

    Obama/Biden FTW...

  • Posted By: randyg71161 @ 11/04/2008 3:58:55 PM

Did anybody happen to notice that at McCain's rallys, the crowd is filled with almost exclusively white people? Hmmm, wonder if race has anything to do with his following, whereas Obama's is a huge mix of white, black, brown, red and yellow skinned Americans.

I can't believe Americans would vote for a Muslim for President. Don't the American people remember 9-11?
He also does not salute the American Flag! This is NOT an American. Yes Obama does want a change but it 's not the change you think it's going to be. He listened to a preacher for 20 years that put down America. Yet, when Obama was confronted with this, he said his preacher was wrong. He is saying things to get votes. He walks the walk and talks the talk that Americans want to hear. Americans are not looking into what he is saying. I believe we need to go to the Popular vote instead of the Electorial votes and lets hear what Americans really want. The younger generation is voting for Obama because he speaks of change. The young people are uneducated in general when it comes to the President. I don't necessarily like McCain but a vote for him is a vote AGAINST Obama.
