DRBing, I agree with most of your comments, however, unless we are actually innately involved in the campaign it would be very difficult to state your 3rd to last statement. Although, I will say this...what strings will need to be pulled by Obama to do many of the inside promises that were made? I don't see McCain doing this.

This Kentuckian is voting for change -
Why are people reading the blogs and non factual web sites and taking them as fact.

No matter who gets elected their term is going to be hell. THe mess the republicans have made over the past 8 years has dug us a hole so deep no matter who wins is going to have one hell of a time.

All i have to say is Today is the most important day of our future!
Stop bashing each other and make your stand in the voting booth!

The world is crying out for change!

I am not sending this to offend anyone elses views -

Just know that this mother has gone a year with out insurance on herself or her family.
This mothers income has slowed down to half of what it was last few years.
This mothers school grants are no longer available because of the people we put in office 8 years ago
This mothers husband lost his job this year and has been trying for 12 months to start
his own business in these trying times.

This mother, wife, nurse, homemaker can take no more!

I hold onto hope because i pray TODAY will be brighter!!

    Vote for change today

Please copy and paste this into your computer and watch - Thank you!

You will need all the prayers in the world if your Obama wins the election. You need to remember who has been running congress the past two years, which has about a 15 % approval rating, half of President Bush's. The Bush administration is receiving all the blame for the economy but why isn't congress taking blame because Bush went to them and said we need to regulate Fannie and Freddie but I guess your beloved Democratic Congress was getting too many kickbacks! It really scares me that Americans are actually voting for Obama! I fought for the freedom you have today and I regret that you are wasting it on a man that we know nothing about.

      • Posted By: Dorianne1013 @ 11/04/2008 2:26:15 PM

My husband and grandfather have both fought for this country - so please do not play that ticket with anyone.

I do not care who you vote for - who my neighbor votes for - whom my husband votes for. I am responsible for my actions and my actions alone. I have done my studying on both parties and have reached the decision I have made on my own.

Who ever becomes president is going to have to take on too much crap to have us all divided. McCain wins we will blame the lack of forward progress on him - Obama wins we will blame our future on him.

Enough is enough - If I could put both of those men together as one man I would. I think McCain has a better foreign policy and Obama has a better domestic policy.

For me it is a choice of the lesser of two evils - and my final thought is "if something happends to McCain - i would NEVER want the hands of our country in palins hands"

Everyone talks about people getting free money (welfare), WAKE UP ! There will always be a welfare system regardless who's in power. Quit worrying about the people living in poverty and concentrate on the middle class and who will look out for their best interest. Blue collar needs the help, they are the backbone of America!

    • Posted By: kelligirl1 @ 11/04/2008 2:24:41 PM

Amen! A voice of reason on here! Who do you people think pay the welfare in this country?? The middle class!! We work our butts off so the welfare or lazy people in this country can collect their pay without lifting a finger. There are a very few people in the welfare system that actually need to be, most can get out there and work just like you and I. Why should our taxpayer hard earned $$ go to someone else.?

Both of the canidates are filled with socialistic ideas, building the New World Order. Either way this country votes, our freedoms are disappearing with it.

We live in a time that we can no longer afford to blindly affiliate with a political party based upon superficial party ethics. So many republicans are rallying for John MCain, without looking into his POW background. Isn't it odd that no fellow POW's support MCain? Was it not a provacative move on MCain's part, that he was the only individual to block the release of previously classified documents pertaining to; POW debriefs, intel and investigations into the numerous unaccounted for POW's? Some suggest that he is the Machurian Candidate. MCain NEVER answers the questions, instead informs you of what Obama will do. What has MCain already done?

Any man who will not produce his birth certificate, salute the American Flag and hangs out with terrorist in clearly not someone who needs to become President. Everyone is getting caught up with him being Muslim and black who cares what color he is? I want a President who will honor our Military, Salute our Flag, defend our freedom and values. I am sorry but all of you that are just necks...that do not do your research are just like sheep following the flock.Shame on YOU!

    i second what everyeyeshallsee said.
America especially young voters have been led solely by the media its not even funny. I watched MTV yesterday (yes i'm a young voter) and sat through an Obama interview waiting to watch for McCain's interview, i waited and waited. It never came. Many of these young voters probably never even looked up the candidates or researched anything whatsoever. it bothers me still.

As for people who think Obama will be the downfall of our nation because of religious reasonings. There are more reasons why you shouldn't vote for him. Like how he preaches change and he picked a vp who has been in us government for over 20 years and what change has he done? What change has obama done? How about how he voted in favor of partial abortion where the baby is full term and killed? he did that not only once but like four times.

i sincerely hope McCain wins especially with someone like palin by his side.

Does anyone understand that the wealth that is spread around will benefit those who who receive it and will still end up in the pockets of those with ambition, perserveance, and the knowledge to provide a service to all. Just as it does today. The only problem is everytime a dollar passes thru government, government takes it's share. Vote for: The Fair Tax plan, by Borsh & Linderman

Why would you vote for Obama who doesn't even stand for us as a Nation? He refuses to place his hand over the Holy Bible and over his heart at the salute of our Nations Flag...and why? Because he wants to be neutral...excuse me...he wont even say our National Anthem... why? Because he says it is offensive to those around the world and he also wants to change our National Anthem...sorry folks he is wrong for our nation! I really don't care for either candidate, but I sure do not want to vote for someone who says that he will stand for the Muslim Nation and not the United States of American if it came down to it...He is totally against the One and Only True God.

All in all, these two candidates are not the answer to the country's problems. It is a shame that our good people are being abused by the system that is in place. Obama has told the people what they want to hear so he can get elected but what did he tell the people who funded him? McCain just never told the people anything different. Maybe in 4 more years the people of this country will finally get fed up enough and take the country back from the corupt individuals that have ruined this once great nation. The individuals that have actual solutions to our problems are not running and the ones that continue to screw things up are. Let me sterotype the individual....lawyer. Until we get a person that can actually manage this country we still will have these same old power hungry ambulance chasing idiots looking for a piece of the action.

I am astonished at how easily duped the general public is by smooth talking, pandering politicians. The truth is our once great country is already in the process of being destroyed from within. The seemingly perfect Republic established by our forefathers is slowly being eroded into the very thing they sought to free themselves from. There is not a single politician today that has any business being in office and anyone with the true intelligence and brass to uphold the principles of our founding fathers has no chance whatsoever of achieving higher office. To all you Obama supporters out there, I hope you find some joy if he wins this election as it will be short lived once he actually takes office in January. All Obama will do for us is hasten the failure of the United States. Welcome to the Union of Socialist States of America.

What is scary is that Obama is trying to destroy our country and these clueless Liberals believe in his pathetic speeches for Change. We don't need change we need a leader. Here we have Pennsylvania leaning towards Dem. and Obama is trying to do away with coal production which forces America to push towards alternative fuel which is smart. Well what the hell are people in Pennsylvania going to do for work if we do away with coal? Why is he trying to take away my right to bear arms? So someone can come into my house with their own gun and I can't protect my family? If I shoot and kill him I go to jail for murder for protecting my family??? Hmm. Obama also believes in partial birth abortions.... Ummm now that's murder is it not? His lack of experience at life and no experience at leading will destroy this country I can guarantee it!!!

    • Posted By: everyeyeshallsee @ 11/04/2008 2:18:57 PM

They are not clueless they want to destroy this nation so they can build it into the uglyness of communism. They are hate filled humans who removed God and want to finish removing God from any trace of us. We are not a Christian nation, we are a nation of Christians. We should divide our nation into two separate ones then we will see which side is noble.

And our country isn't in trouble now? The Republicans have had their turn to mess things up. It can't get much worse. And I'm one of the Dems that will feel the additional tax with Obama - over $250,000, It is my priviledge to pay taxes when I trust the people taxing me.

As a Veteran, I expected you to have more intelligence. Especially in this day and age. But I guess that is wishful thinking on my behalf. CHANGE... GET IT. You defintely need a whole make over. You are so far off the mark. Do you really think this is about affirmative action? Obama is the most brillant and qualified. It is bigots like you that put the U.S. to shame. You are a big dummy. You don't need military experience to serve as a President of this country. Before you start judging with your redneck backwards thinking, let's just see who will win first. You are one of those person who profess christanity, but really you are a undercover racist. And please don't use God for your evil thoughts and ways. God does not know you in your wickness and evil doings. You serve satan and love only yourself and your kind.

  • Posted By: swtpony @ 11/04/2008 2:17:43 PM

Hmm. interesting. This is not an issue of race as anoited123 stated, rather an issue of who can run this country the most effective given all of the current issues. I can not believe some of the comments on here regarding Ms. Palin. What she wears, which is very professional for a woman in America, should not be criticized in the demoralizing manner it has been.

I can not wait to see what the outcome of all of this will be...crossing my fingers!

It seems that when a Democrat is a sure bet all the "PUBS" can do is shout doomsday. When the votes are counted just accept that the voters have spoken and move on!If the voters are wrong in 4 years they can change again. That is how our system works.Quit whining .Sell your Toyota and buy American and we would not be in this mess.
