Americans should seriuosly consider whether time has come for them to become part of the global village. Their challenges are not unique to themselves alone. They need a leader who appeals to the rest of the world and that leader is definitely Barack Obama. Less war, more diplomacy; less reference in the past, more focus in the future; less arrogance, more compassion.
Do not be fooled by less war. He is trying to get in the WhiteHouse so him and his shady friends can take over our Great Nation. Think hard before you vote. He is out there with his people trying to steel votes.
You sound fearful. This is how hate is perpetuated. Get educated.
less war? Obama is ready to send us into Pakistan,Georgia and Isreal not to mention redeploying out of Iraq and into Afghanistan. What happened to bring them home? oh yeah and deal with Iran on top of it all
Black so What, He could be pink and still be bad for this nation. Obama is so wrong for us in many ways, He will turn this country upside down with his shady deals in the Middle East and the Terrorist are just waiting for his invite to take over our nation and turn it into a Muslim country. The person who put Muslim so what, You will eat your words some day if Obama wins. The terrorist are not scared of Obama cuz he is one of them, But they know McCain will Kick *** with them if they try anything in the U.S. again. We need McCain to keep our Military Strong and to Protect us.
Obama, and the Democrats in general, want to take this nation closer to socialism, which will benefit many, and hurt some. The many it will benefit are those that want government handouts and do not want to take responsibility for earning what they get, and those that believe they are entitled to more without having the skills to get the higher paying jobs. Those that it will hurt are the competitive capitalists that are responsible for the creation and maintainence of many of the jobs. As we tax these folks more, they are incentivised to take their job producing businesses and investments overseas, reducing the jobs and resulting tax revenues within the country. The democratic answer is to further tax those who work and compete for their money. McCain has his shortcomings as well, but as someone who earns what he gets, I'd rather be able to be incentivised to work harder to get more for my family, not work harder to support those that don't want to earn their way and spend their efforts exploiting the system to get social handouts.
I don't know why you assume that if someone makes under $200,000 a year doesn't work hard?! I am a mother of three and I work (very hard) 40+ hours a week. A Tax cut (NOT a hand out) is very welcome to me. I have been paying higher taxes than these rich people for 8 years, it is my turn now. THANK YOU OBAMA!
What is scary is that Obama is trying to destroy our country and these clueless Liberals believe in his pathetic speeches for Change. We don't need change we need a leader. Here we have Pennsylvania leaning towards Dem. and Obama is trying to do away with coal production which forces America to push towards alternative fuel which is smart. Well what the hell are people in Pennsylvania going to do for work if we do away with coal? Why is he trying to take away my right to bear arms? So someone can come into my house with their own gun and I can't protect my family? If I shoot and kill him I go to jail for murder for protecting my family??? Hmm. Obama also believes in partial birth abortions.... Ummm now that's murder is it not? His lack of experience at life and no experience at leading will destroy this country I can guarantee it!!!
Go OBAMA!
This has been the most unfair and predictable election I have ever watch unfold. You never hear nothing about John McCain, nothing. It is not that he is doing nothing. It is because America is so hung up on having a African American President that we have put aside "Fair Political Practices." This man is not even a citizen of the USA and we have embraced O'Bama. I volunteered to up hold the constitution of the USA in The US Marines. I am a Disabled American Veteran. O'bama has never served a minutes to defend "Ole Glory". But once again, affirmative action is putting an inexperienced person in the greatest position in the United States of American.
This man has been linked and associated with terrorist. I guess if/when we elect this person we will see his true colors. His platform has nothing to do with Biblical principles. He is for same sex marriages, abortion, and telling Americans one thing in one state. Then changing to whatever makes him popular in another.
Lastly, I am sick of the "RACE" card being played every time. They announced the death of his family member just to push the undecided into a sympathy vote mode.
I voted for the man who I feel God wanted in this Office. However, since all the TV stations are predicting winners already. (Which I thought was breaking the law.) But what the heck. The law book will be thrown out after today!!!!!!
oboma's coop is right and it is chickens who vote for him who want a handout
You're funny and I bet you are on welfare or live close to a trailor park
This is defiantely not about black and white when talking about the color of skin but about black and white when it comes to honesty and dishonesty....I wonder how many voters actually researched what these candidates are telling people..For instance Obama says 95% of americans will get a tax cut...how can this be when only 68% of americans pay income taxes??? and he wants to redistribute our hard earned tax dollars to these people? why dont we just go hand our neighbors $1000 dollars. This is borderline socialism....and as for socialized healthcare...just ask the UK and Canada how great it is...People die everyday there because they cant get scheduled for minor surgeries that could save their life . That doesnt sound american to me.....and as for Obamas taxing of the big corporations.. do we not understand that those taxes will be passed on to us the consumers in the prices of the goods???? THINK before you vote...

Amen.
We can't all be on welfare and abuse the systems already in place. Unfortunately, under Obama, those of us that have worked our a$$es off to keep out of the welfare lines are now going to have to support those that won't take responsibility. What ever happened to the American Dream of working hard for reward. Now it'll be working hard to reward others.
Yes, Palin's a moron but she's not running for president. Biden's a moron too (who, by the way, we all forget, totally bashed Obama until he was in the running for VP) but he's not running for president either.
Obama is nothing more than a glorified public speaker (at this point). He may very well be prepared to be out Cmdr in Chief in the future and with a little more experience but he's not ready yet.
McCain rests too much on his war record but he does have way more experience than Obama.
Neither candidate is ideal, it's just a matter of choosing the lesser of two evils.
Most of us may start in the bracket for the middle class who'll pay higher taxes but once those taxes hit, we'll fall right down to the level of those we are supporting. This used to be the "Land of the Free". Get ready for the "Land of Free" for those who won't have to work for it.
Good luck to everyone when we are all on food stamps and falling into the poverty levels after taxes hit.
Abby is so right. No one has a clue as to why they are voting. Most are voting because of race or the promise of change and they are not even informed of what the change consists of, only that it is change and the candidate says that it will be for the good. The real issue is that congress runs the country and we as citizens are to blame for where our country has gone. There are a lot of issues that need solved and the only way is to put the right people in office. For everyone, including Obama' who has bashed President Bush SHAME ON YOU. What would you be saying right now if there were ten more attacks on the United States like 9/11 and he did not respond? You are all quick to point a finger, but had we not gone to war, everyone would be calling him a coward and we as a nation would have lost our respect as a world leader. Yes I know it did not go as well as it should have and we have in a sense overstayed our welcome. Once again not Bush's fault, I am pretty sure he did not plan out the attacks and things like that. Enough about Bush though, I as an American believe he has done a very good job with what he was handed as a president, Obama surely would have made much worse decisions due to inexperience. There is something that scares me about Obama as well, mind you all I do not want to portray any disrespect toward him as he may as well be our next president, and I am first and foremost and American that supports his/her president no matter who it is, but I am usually a very good judge of character and have a pretty good understanding of what is going on with our government, something just does not seem right with him. I guess to wrap this up I must say that out of the two candidates her are my impressions. McCain deserves our respect and I believe would bring change, not dramatic, and it would benefit Americans. Obama, I hate to say reminds me of a teenager being lectured by his parents and looking at them as if he knows it all.... That is what scares me; he thinks he is always right!!!
A few hours back one of you asked for what we were meaning by stating so many of the voters are "uneducated" I'd like to try and clear that up to say I don't think anyone is truly insulting their IQ, what we mean to say is that these are people voting one way because they are republican or democrat --regardless of what the cantidate stands for. or they are voting for them just becuase one of their friends or family members is. They are not investing their personal time in finding out the facts about our future potential leaders ...uneducated or ingorant is going to have the same meaning when referring to these people. I realize the whole black/white thing, and that Obama is only a very small portion of a black man. But he is using the race card and encouraging black and minority voters to cast their votes for him BECAUSE he is black. I think that's the point everyone is getting at --it's what he's trying to claim...I think we can all see he's a little on the light side. Myself, I believe I would've voted for him regardless of color were he the right man for the job. I really could care less if he was sleeved in tatoos and colored purple. If colin Powell would've ran 4 years ago I would've voted for him, as he is now, then I would say I've found out things that would make me look negatively upon him. DON'T be so ignorant as to vote for someone based on race or political party --- vote for what they're going to do FOR you, or TO you.
Wow, it's slightly disturbing to read some of the things on here and realize that there are so many people out there that truely have no understanding of what is going on. So many personal attacks and so little focus on real policies. And some of the focus on policies is even completely wrong! I think that people are just formulating their views on the candidates based on whatever they think is going on. Most probably did not watch any of the debates or even read anyones policies. I hate to think what this is going to do to the voting turnout today.
I understand that everyone in the country has different views, but they should at least be educated views. Stop listening to political attacks and go out and do some research yourselves people. Maybe then our country could actually get somewhere!

what color skin or who obama was raised by makes no difference, it's his wacked out far left extreme ideas that are out of this world. I don't know about the rest of you, but I don't want to take a chance on a guy that has all of the associations with underground terrorists, anti-American ministers, and wants to turn us into a socialist nation. I've lived in Canada and have seen how "great" the universal health care is...IT IS NOT, well that is if you like 1/2 you paycheck being taken in taxes, and you like being on a waiting list for a simple surgery. It is not free...chop your paycheck in 1/2 and you'll see how great Obama's health care plan and his spread the wealth plan is. I'm not wealthy by any means, but I certainly work hard for my money and do not think the welfare group aught to get part of my HARD EARNED $$$, get out there and work like the rest of us!!!
Hmm. I believe it was Bill Clinton who put this country on one of the biggest economic booms in our life. I voted for Bill because of his ideas and views, not because he was white. And my vote this time, unlike the same people who voted BUSH in for a second term, will go to Mr. Obama. I dare not vote for any issue dodging team who's following and support the same policies as BUSH. That would be down right stupid don't you think. And to all who wonder why all of a sudden, millions of Africian americas, White Americans and Republicans are pledging their votes to Mr. Obama. Well...haven't you paid attention to anything. If not, it's a little too late. Our next president will be Mr. Obama...and then......Sen. Hillary Clinton.....she didn't make the dream team this time, but she'll be un-stoppable when that time comes.
First of all those how say Obama's wife isn't proud to be an American need to get a life. Under Bush's Power Hunger Regin I to was starting to loose my pride as being an American and what she meant was that it takes a great country like ours to elect someone who doesn't meet the white criteria for president, also i am white and I agree with her on the fact that it does feel really good that Obama actully has a chance. So all you kids and people out there that think they don't have a chance belive that you can do anything you set your mind to.
Obama 08'
I prefer "experience" and "lip service" over a nominee that is made fun of every Saturday night by a more respectable Tina Fey. I'm guessing you missed the vice presidential debate? Well Tina Fey did a superb impression of governor Palin the following Saturday...you should youtube it.
What suprises me is when I hear people say "more of the same." What was so wrong with the lowest unemployement rate in 20 years? What was wrong with lower taxes? What was wrong with what we had? If what you are looking for is to pay higher taxes and live a life of mediocrity, then by all means vote Obama. I do not want the government to regulate every move I make. Obama will do just that. If I wanted to live in a socialized country I would move to England or Canada.
You know what is so disappointing is that so many are talking about money being taken away. Don't you realize that America needs to re-tool. Not any different for an operating business. We have been using the same old tools for years and they do not work anymore. Let???s re-tool America to a better place to live in and be part of this new change. And when it comes to black and white?????? no one is 100% pure in the US.
For all of you who's commenting on this page, hating on Obama!! Let me tell you guys something you all are just scared that Mr. Obama is going to win this Presidential election today!! So just sit your asses back and deal with the ***!! Yall can't have your way this time!! So fu*k what you got to say about Obama!!! I AM VOTING FOT BARACK OBAMA WHEW!!!!!!!!!! DEAL WITH IT!! IT'S TIME TO CELEBRATE THE VICTORY!!!
