If an individual would look at who is in the senate, they would notice that the senate comprises mostly democrats, it is the senate who decides what is done and how it is done. They are the ones responsible for the mess we are in. Not the republicans.

Uhmm, i believe if Obama were to win and take our troups out, we would get bombed for the fact that it is way too son and we would have fought for nothing. The people who lost their lives for out country would have fought for nothing. And then we start back from the beggining when we started

Most of you who put down Obama really need to quit with the racial stereotype that makes our country naive in the first place. I believe everyone should have healthcare. I believe we need to help one another out of poverty. I believe that it wouldnt hurt people who make enough money to pay a little higher tax rate then those who make 50,000 dollars and are trying to feed a family of four. LIKE TEACHERS and LAW ENFORCEMENT and etc... Educated people need help too. Not just the people on welfare who ride the system which include alot of whites as well as those of color. There are those few exceptions like the poor who dont give a damn about anyone else but themselves but we cannot continue to punish those who do try and care.

What TRULY amazes me is the astonishing number of people who spell the word truly incorrect. (truely)

Barack Obama discovers a leak under his sink, so he calls Joe the Plumber. Joe drives to Obama's house, which is located in a very nice neighborhood and where it's clear that all the residents make more than $250,000 per year. Joe arrives to the room that contains the leaky pipe under a sink. Joe assesses the problem and tells Obama that it's an easy repair that will take less than 10 minutes. Obama asks Joe how much it will cost.
Joe immediately says, "$9,500." "$9,500?" Obama asks, stunned. "But you said it's an easy repair!" "Yes, but what I do is charge a lot more to my clients who make more than $250,000 per year so I can fix the plumbing of everybody who makes less than that for free," explains Joe. "It's always been my philosophy. As a matter of fact, I lobbied government to pass this philosophy as law, and it did pass earlier this year, so now all plumbers have to do business this way. It's known as 'Joe's Fair Plumbing Act of
2008.' Surprised you haven't heard of it, senator." In spite of that, Obama tells Joe there's no way he's paying that much for a small plumbing repair, so Joe leaves. Obama spends the next hour flipping through the phone book looking for another plumber, but he finds that all other plumbing businesses listed have gone out of business. Not wanting to pay Joe's price, Obama does nothing. A week later the leak is so bad that Obama has had to put a bucket under the sink. The bucket fills up quickly and has to be emptied every hour, and there's a risk that the room will flood, so Obama calls Joe and pleads with him to return. Joe goes back to Obama's house, looks at the leaky pipe, and says "Let's see - this will cost you about $21,000." "A few days ago you told me it would cost $9,500!" Obama quickly fires back. Joe explains the reason for the dramatic increase. "Well, because of the 'Joe's Fair Plumbing Act,' a lot of rich people are learning how to fix their own plumbing, so there are fewer of you paying for all the free plumbing I'm doing for the people who make less than $250,000. As a result, the rate I have to charge my wealthy paying customers rises every day. "Not only that, but for some reason the demand for plumbing work from the group of people who get it for free has skyrocketed, and there's a long waiting list of those who need repairs. This has put a lot of my fellow plumbers out of business, and they're not being replaced ??? nobody is going into the plumbing business because they know they won't make any money. I'm hurting now too - all thanks to greedy rich people like you who won't pay their fair share." Obama tries to straighten out the plumber: "Of course you're hurting, Joe! Don't you get it? If all the rich people learn how to fix their own plumbing and you refuse to charge the poorer people for your services, you'll be broke, and then what will you do?" Joe immediately replies, "Ru

Ok people, Obama was raised by his white mother, and he only saw his black father once or twice like most kids. So for the most part he was raised white. He must have done a lot of things right to end up as the Democratic candidate for President. Honestly, He will do a good job. All he needs is a chance.

Stop attacking each other, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

Neight Bush nor his administrastion can be blamed for the economic crisis. This issue dates all the way back to Jimmy Carter and the Liberal congress who thought it would be a good idea to lend money to people who they knew would not be able to pay it back!

Just asking - has anyone heard any discussion - do we need to expect riots in the streets if Obama doesn't win?

I believe that neither of them should be elected. But my choice would be Mc Cain over obama any day, i believe if he were to take troups out what would happen to us? It is too soon to take our fighters out, and the ones who lost their lives for out country would have fought for nothing

The biggest difference between the supporters of Obama and McCain is Obama and his supporters are for something - change, while McCain and his supporters ane against Obama - NOBama!

Left Right Left Right Left Right it seems with all these movements we could get something done in this country. Here is the reason we can't. Another left saying i want, i want, i want!
On the other hand you have the right saying no, no, no.
We have no middle ground in this country. If your health is an issue with pregnancy than the mother has a right to choose. If your a 16 year old palin who made a bad decision by haveing unprotected premarital sex you should not. Do we not have sex education in this country? And what is with partial birth lobbyists? Why must you wait until your 9th month on the table pushing anfd have the right to change your mind. 6 months or nine months your baby is developed and because you do not want to live with, here it is again CONSEQUENCES, you abort a healthy 9 month old baby (fetus if your a liberal).

As far as gay marraiges go no president gets to make that decision. It should be up to the states. And by the way I care who marrys and so does the 26 states in tHis country that have defined marrage as 1 man and 1 women. Florida will be the 27th after today. The majority of americans just based off of the vote have choosen what they want in 27 states which is a clear cut difinitive answer. Are we not a democracy??? Should we allow these changes in society based on how we feel or our love or because we are "behind the times"?
Seriously, we are a democratic country and the majority have spoken. We now have judges in california, where the citizens have accepted civil unions but have also voted to define marrage between 1 man and 1 women, who want to overturn the decision of the american voters to redefine marraige after a vote.
Soon it will be 30 states which will define marraige. But this small group which by the way is less than 10% of the American population will continue to push to redefine not only marraige but our core values.

Oh by the way i have many many gay freinds and they have multiple partners as well as civil unions. The devorce rate would only increase!!

Comment to rgtyjpe: Seems you like to refer to folks in the negative but you cannot see any of the negatives when it comes to your chosen "messiah" how have you managed to exist in the modern world. Yes, a lot of us criticiize social programs because we have watched their failure and yet have had to pay to support them. When most of us are in need we appeal to our families and our God for support and assistance to climb out of the pit. There is absolutely no need for more money to be cast into the pit, lets try some good old fashioned work ethic and create the jobs ourselves so that we can put the country back together. All your whining for more aid and more programs will do nothing but increase the indebtedness we now have to those fine examples of socialist morality like China and France.
