So according to the last comment. You should not view race as a reason not to vote for a candidate because it is irresponsible; if we vote based on facts there is no place for skin color. However, you should not blame a candidate for using color to win votes because a black man can identify with all minorities and that is a good enough reason to vote. You conclude that it is about color because Obama is already under more safety precautions then McCain because of his color. Basically you should slap yourself in the face for your completely asinine comments. Don't vote for color... it's all about color. People PLEASE!

    THINK NATIONALY, ACT RATIONALY!
    VOTE MCCAIN/PALIN

  • Posted By: Red01 @ 11/04/2008 12:22:21 PM

Unfortunately this has been turned into a black/white issue. There are legions voters who have had no interest in voting in the past, but are now out in droves because they say they now have a candidate. We have a candidates' wife who said this is the first time in her life she is proud to be an American. And we should be voting for values, but some of those values is to make sure there is a chech in the mail the 1st df the month.

Well to all those who "despise" Obama so much, you are the main ignorant citizens that are scared of change point blank...Its so pathetic how you sit there and try to name examples you got from the Blog or other internet sites that obviously find "any type" of info to use against Obama...I have read many comments so far and it seems like many people feel like he compares abortion to the death penalty...well to all the women out there that have an one set of mind to abortion, every time you have a damn menstrual cycle, you are "killing" a baby as many of yall say...that egg you release is a baby idiots...so don't go all uneducated with this issue..with the death penalty, i am against it due to the fact that our Country was built on rape, violence, and death of others..Christopher Columbus didn't find this country, Indians did; but somehow we stripped them of thier identity and put them in camps; oh, lets see, we used African Americans to build our country and don't forget we raped them too and lynched them until the 1970's; umm, let's see all the death penalty is really another excuse for the US to murder people but "legally" this time. Yes we have people who are dangerous and should be punished; but last time I checked WE AREN'T GOD and we don't have the right to take someone's life from them eventhough they have done the same; but who said we won't go to hell just like them for committing the same act? Obama is trying to create change..Bush has created hell in our economy and McCain has supported every choice Bush has made so do you really think sh*t will get better if McCain is in that damn white house? He WILL do the same like Bush, and those of you who thik otherwise, your children and grandchildren, and the elderly in your family will be the ones strugggling...I vote for Obama because he sees what America really is and what was built on and he put it out there while others were too scared to do so; thats not talking against America or the Flag, its speaking the damn truth...

Oh my God!!!! Obama is going to ruin this country!!!. It's not ok to terminate your pregnancy or marry the person you love. If Obama wins he will let gays get married and he support pro-choice. Everyone needs to vote for McCain. He is exactly what this country needs....another 4 years of rape and murder. I'll never agree with abortion but I agree to the killing of thousands of innocent Iraqi civilians. So im crying and praying that John McCain, not Barak Obama is the next Fuhrer..oops I mean President of the United States of America. And when the rapture comes hopefully ther will be no black or hispanice people there.
    p.s andd no Jews either
Sincerely yours, Fake Christians all over America

Has anyone stopped and asked where is Obama going to get the money from to keep all of his promises?? Ok..raise taxes on the rich..fine..the rich will just pull there money from US banks and send it overseas. Now what do you think that is going to do to our ECONOMY???

    • Posted By: leepdx @ 11/04/2008 12:20:36 PM

Yes we've thought about and he's answered it, don't you think there isn't a bunch of money being spent unwisely already that could be used elsewhere.

    • Posted By: Athena59 @ 11/04/2008 12:18:29 PM

Then it's the rich who are hurting America, not Obama.

  • Posted By: Show me Proof @ 11/04/2008 11:36:49 AM

Can a republican please show proof of Obama and Osama actually sitting down and having a conversation since you all feel that they're "est friends"? Also, throw in the information of him being a muslim. That's another comment that you all have been screaming.

    • Posted By: garyneavada @ 11/04/2008 12:20:05 PM

you want proof.. just look at bo,s plane he had the us flag removed and the muslim flag put on there your proof

  • Posted By: angel10652 @ 11/04/2008 12:19:24 PM

I was told today that there was no way our country could handle another 4-8 years with a republican in office, but look where we are headed?? We as a country cannot handle even 1 day with Obama!!! I feel he ahs been born and bread to take over our country as our first American Terrorist President!!!!!

  • Posted By: Healthy Newsy @ 11/04/2008 12:19:18 PM

After this election is over it will be time for all of us to think of ourselves as Americans, not parties. Please embrace this notion. We have a huge mess to clean up after the elephant got into the oval office. Let's pull together to do the sweeping.

I refuse to allow Obama to take MY money from working three different jobs to give to the lazy, unmotivated, blood suckers of this country who have and continue to ride the sense of "entitlement" who REFUSE to even try to get a job. Im am petrified where this country will be in four years if this anti-american professional bs'er wins this election

    • Posted By: leepdx @ 11/04/2008 12:18:54 PM

You mean it's okay for those corporate raiders to suck you dry while you hold on to your ideological blankie instead of seeing reality. Good grief!

  • Posted By: Stephenga @ 11/04/2008 12:18:46 PM

The man acted out a tear over his grandmothers death. Is this what is wanted a heartless president.

  • Posted By: Mary66 @ 11/04/2008 12:10:53 PM

Has anyone stopped to ask where is Obama going to get all the money from for all the things that he is promising??? Ok..tax the rich people and those people will pull there money from US banks and send it overseas !!! Where does that leave the economy ???

    • Posted By: AbbeyD23 @ 11/04/2008 12:17:52 PM

If you are going to go there, where does McCain claim to get all of his money to fund all the things he plans to impliment? Its the same thing every election, promises are being made without a lot background information about how they are going to follow through with them. Obama has proposed some ideas of where the funding may come from but obviously there are holes. Don't try to pin this all on Obama b/c every candidate does this every election.

Ok...bomb throwing has been common in this election but a lot of it has merit. I wish I could vote for Obama. He is charismatic and very likable. What keeps me for voting for Obama is how it seems he forgets who he knows, he changes his stance on issues, he has never tried to work with Republicans, he vows to raise taxes (don't think for one minute that we middle classers will be left out of the tax hike), he has no experience, and he's going to ruin the healthcare industry. I know what you Obama worshipers are saying right now...he didn't mean what he said and you interpreted his exact words. Why do you think that he says one thing but really means something totally different? Will his tax hike affect the $250K, the $200K, the $150K, or the $120K? Who really knows? Compare his experience with McCain and hands down McCain is the right choice for the job. Joe Biden has the experience and Sarah Palin has some experience. If you argument against Palin is experience then you can't vote for Obama. Think about that. Obama is running against McCain not Palin but if he were running against Palin he would still fall short in the experience category. Great speaker does not equate into great leader. WAKE UP AMERICA...THIS IS YOUR FUTURE AND YOUR CHILDRENS FUTURE.

    • Posted By: Dem all the way @ 11/04/2008 12:17:45 PM

On the $250K vs $200K. If you read his plan it states - those who make over $250 will recieve a tax raise - those who make under $200K will receive a tax cut. Those between $200K and $250K will have no impact. If you read each plan you would be able to understand what they are saying on the campaign trail. For those who just listen to them speak to get answers - shame on you for not doing your own research to determine the truthfulness. Yes - both candidates will have a increase in spending that will increase our deficit - but McCain's plan will increase it more than Obama's - he just wants to push the payment of that deficit off to later generations - what does he care he is 72 and won't be around to pay for it. We will when we are retired.

I THINK IT IS VERY SAD THAT THERE ARE STILL PEOPLE WHO MAKE THIS A BLACK OR WHITE THING. ITS NOT ABOUT THAT , ITS ABOUT WHO THE BEST MAN FOR THE JOB IS AND WHO WILL HELP OUR COUNTRY THE MOST . BY THAT I MEAN EVERYONE, NOT JUST THE WEALTHY WHILE THE REST OF US ARE SUFFERING WORSE THAN WE EVER HAVE...................................

  • Posted By: WestchesterProud @ 11/04/2008 12:15:15 PM

Obama All The Way! Change is what we need. I guess my vote this morning cancelled out one of yours below. To renaparsons - never too late, there are a lot of people that are still going out to vote today and I sincerely hope they don't think like you or this country is in serious trouble (not that we aren't already).

I'm ashamed of the state of the U.S. and the image that other country's see us as a big bully. We have no business in Iraq and those dollars spent over there should have stayed at home, to help uninsured, homeless, after school programs, pre school programs, Seniors who need food and medications, medicare help, etc., The list is endless.

It's about time our Country wakes up and realizes that another four years with a Bush like Republican in the White House is not going to change the very important issues at hand.

It's down right irresponsible to put our Country in debt like it is to other nations like China. My children's generation will be paying for this for years. We need a drastic change and someone wtih some new insight to make it happen..

    Go Obama!!

  • Posted By: Unknown00 @ 11/04/2008 11:55:51 AM

McCain is EXACTLY like President Bush. Do We want that again?
    Vote Obama!!

    • Posted By: ohgoodness @ 11/04/2008 12:14:51 PM

obviously you haven't been following the campaign

  • Posted By: b42nite @ 11/04/2008 12:14:50 PM

its amazing to read these comments from those to do not support Obama. For Obama supporters we do not like McCain because of his issues and where he stands. But for McCain supporters Obama was not born or raised in America (which he was, ever heard of the state of Hawaii), he is the AntiChrist, this is the day of damnation, he is a terrorist, he doesnt support america. People. Listen to yourselves. Seriously who comes up with this crap.

  • Posted By: tj4YTUSA @ 11/04/2008 12:14:09 PM

bonghit..........you obviously have never taken economics nor have you paid attention to the stock market. For if you had, you would know that demand is down, when the adjust the numbers for the supply, supply is up. You would also know that China is also demanding less due to economic down turn. Thus, lower oil prices, which translate to lower gas prices. Nothing to do with republicans or the election.

Hey Mr Tall! and being a community leader and holding any politcial office for 150 days DOES NOT qualify you for the highest political position either. What experience is Obama bringing? 20+ years vice 20+ weeks what are we thinking??? If Obama and McCain were both white or purple do you think he would still be winning? 150 days!!!
