Some people are calling Obama a black man. Well he is not only black. He is white too. His mother was white. He is just as much white as he is black. But a LOT of people base him around black man. I think people are being too racist about everything.

Please think clearly when casting your votes, do not vote based on color, this could be your worst mistake, if you have been following comments by the cantidates closely. The only one who actually believes in our society and is not afraid to give straight answers when asked pointed questions has been Mccain. Obama is no different than Clinton was in his stupid Monica Lewinski ordeal. The man cannot give a straight answer, he has yet to state his point of view on many topics --whther he chooses one side or the other. But in an interview withthe washington post, he did give detailed answers about attending flag burning rallies and why he refuses to salute our flag, I don't know about you, but as an american, I can't think of ANY reason that's good enough to keep me from saluting that flag and saying how proud I am to be in this country --- he makes me absolutely ashamed, how will we look to the rest of the world if our newly elected leader does not even back up the foundation of the country he is in charge of? He is not capable of making an educated decision about the US. DON'T ELECT THIS AMERICAN HATER!!

Did you know that McCain left his first wife for the much younger and richer Cindy McCain. If you want to point fingers at our presidents based on their infidelities (Clinton) then take a look at your own. Obama did not use this for his campaign ads because he would rather talk about the issues.

McCain is Exactly Like President Bush. Do we want that again?
    Vote Obama!!

McCain has been running for president for at least the past 12 years. It's the same Republicans who are putting him up on a pedestal now who have refused to vote for him for over a decade. He's not very conservative. Do you really think he'll make all Republican dreams come true?

I hate to do this but I agree with anglfir. Its amazing how we are looking at it as White Vs. Black. Instead of hearing what each candidate has to offer. Its amazing when I am told by McCain supporters that I am only voting for Obama because he is Black. (by the way im hispanic) I think that it is the most ignorant thing anyone can say. But then makes me wonder if you think im voting for Obama because he is black, are you voting for McCain because he is White and not voting for Obama because he is black. Its just frustrating to think that America was becoming color blind until this election. Its also funny to hear those same supporters state "well all the black people are voting for Obama". Another ignorant response. Isn't the reason for the whole election process is to vote for someone you can relate to and who's views you believe in. Also if im not mistaken during every previous presidential campain, didnt all the candidates want to get the votes for Blacks, Hspanics and other non-white races. So now that Obama is going to receive the majority of black votes its wrong because he himself is Black.
For Mickey50978.....what makes you think its not about Race. I appreciate the fact that you are looking at it at who is more qualified then the other person. Which is what we should do. But for the vast majority of people who are voting it is an issue of skin. Look at the attempts at Obama's life already and he is not even president yet. I haven't heard about any assasination attempts at McCain. Also the comments that Obama is a terrorist. What sense does that make. So you, a regular joe, know he is a terrorist but our own Government doesn't. I just hope people go out and make the right choice for the right reason. Vote for McCain. Vote for Obama. But make sure your doing it because of what each candidate brings to the table. Not because of what they look like on the outside.

I guess what I'm really scared about is... Riots... Riots if Obama wins and Riots if he looses... What Kind of example are we trying to show our next generation. Especially in Chicago. Stores are planning on closing early, I mean their is people that are genuinely scared. What about the KKK, if Obama win's I know for a fact they have something planned and the people they caught the other day were just bate, and the real masterminds are still at work. Everyone was brought here. So we are all illegals in some way shape or form. Why can't people understand that. God help us...

That old saying, "Be careful what you wish for"....Well, be careful what you VOTE for. Because all you that vote for Obama, if he wins what we are in for is HELL. Mark my word and remember this day. It will go down as a day you will not forget and it will not be a day you remember because you like it!!

  • Posted By: roselle @ 11/04/2008 11:55:56 AM

What ever happened to the old saying. Guilty by association!!!!

Hey KarinK675 I have already cast my vote this morning and it was for the all American McCain, so sorry, your links to Obama are a little too late. I really cannot believe that some people are still brainwashed and blind....how can you not see Obama for what he truly is? geez!

  • Posted By: Lop123 @ 11/04/2008 11:33:37 AM

I'd bet my dog that all those trying to make a case for McCain voted for Bush four and eight years ago. What do you have to say about Bush now? Let me guess, the terrible state of our country is the fault of all us liberal democrats. . . . Sigh:-(

    • Posted By: BrianBBB @ 11/04/2008 11:53:22 AM

First of all, under Obama you will have to give up your dog because you won't have the extra money to feed him. Unless of course you are on welfare or you don't work for a living, then he will be giving you tax credits that you don't even earn. And yes I am a Bush supporter and I am also a believer that Bush has ran this country pretty damn well considering the hand of cards that has been dealt to him. And go ahead and try to blame Bush for the economy when we all know that in 2002,2006 & in 2007 his administration went to Congress and tried to regulate the Economy busters Freddie and Fannie. And yes your beloved Democratic Congress last year said NO they are fine. I guess that is why Pelosi and the rest of Congress has a 15'% approval rating. That is an extremely scary thought, democratic President and a democratic Congress. And as far as the war, if your beloved Clinton would have taken Osama's head when it was offered to him in the late 90's, we wouldn't even be fighting this war. Thousands of American's lives were lost due to his negligence! Go McCain, a real American Hero

A fresh, unmolested mind? You think Obama has a fresh, unmolested mind? Yeah, right. I'm not voting for him because he wants to make America like all the other countries of the world, and I want America to be different--a safe haven for personal and religious freedom. It would also be nice if the voters stopped stealing my tax dollars to help people who will just waste my hard earned money. Obama said he's not worried about the "big business" owners and the "rich" people. Well, I'm not either. He's right; they will find a way to survive, and if that means taking their business to Costa Rica, Mexico, China, or other places outside USA, then they will do it. I'm worried about all of us working folks who won't have jobs because the rich people took their money and left us to fend for ourselves. And if that happens, we only have ourselves to blame for taxing those businesses out of our country.

Change, change, change! It sure is funny how you liberal democrats use all of the props, smoke, and mirrors to disguise who Obama really is. Personally, I don't think either candidate is a good choice. Didn't anyone listen to Baracks' responses to his affiliations with some extremely racist and shady characters. This will definitely go down as a sad day in history once Obama is elected. I knew he would convince the young voters, the minority voter, and obviously all the liberals looking for CHANGE! But the white middle-class voter really has me puzzled, especially since all of Baracks friends and reverends hate " WHITEY ", including the evil Louis Farrakhan. About a year from now, all of you Obama supporters will wake up wondering what you've just created. Change is definitely good, and the Bush administration definitely dug us a big hole, but this fiasco will definitely head us in the wrong direction. Good Luck America, your gonna need it!

The only way for Americans to get back on their feet - is to get up off our asses. This is step one.

Comments like: "Uneducated voters" bothers me. What level of knowledge would satisfy the criteria of "educated". Are you referring to blacks, hispanics, the poor, trailer trash, rednecks, high school drop-outs, some combinations of these ? Who are these uneducated voters ? Or are you just a pompous, arrogant, self proclaimed expert on the needs of all Americans ? How did you vote today - quick - shine your light on insight for us all to follow !

For the first time in 30 + years of voting I voted straight demo. Ticket. I???ve always felt that more than one way of looking at any problem was more constructive ,and would lead to a conclusion that was not based on a single view point. Therefore when voting in the past I voted for a rep.pres. and demo.house and senate. Hopefully forcing a mutually beneficial conclusion for all involved. This year after viewing the past 2 terms, the bail out, which greed induced. The position of the working class that has progressively gone down hill since , oh 1980 something. I feel that a change is due! PAST due! You can???t single out a group of people socio-economically and place increasingly heavier burdens on them without having it back fire in your face. I believe that ..hopefully, the American people will stand together on this issue. This isn???t about race. I don???t care what color He ,She or They are. Nor is it about religion whatever he ,she or they may be !!! Don???t get sidetracked on lesser issues. I have White friends, Native American friends, Black friends , Philippine friends, all are different, and my life is richer for the differences that each race of people bring.

I think Obama will do our counrty good if given a change to do it and I don't think people are voting cause he is black this Election is and should be base on who is better for our counrty and I feel Obama is the better man we have had 8 years of Bush and he didn't do to much for us and McCain plans are just like Bush's and as a nation we can't afford 4 more years Obama is given the change I think he can pull us back...

Myself and my 4 brothers are all college graduates from schools such as Brown University, Cornell University, Stanford University, and Harvard Medical School. We are not on welfare and have never been in jail. One of my brothers is retired from the Army and another has been in the Army Reserves since 2000. He is scheduled to go to the Middle East next spring. And yes, we are all Black. I am not voting for Obama because he is Black. I'm voting for him because he is intelligent, believes in uniting the American people, he has high hopes for our Country and he inspires me to want to do more on MY part to help other Americans.

If anyone reading these posts would like clarification on ANY of Obama's political view points please visit http://www.barackobama.com/issues. They may seem somewhat repetitive since many were outlined in the Presidential Debates, but apparently there are many voting citizens that missed those events.
