Understood! I don't care who you vote for! What I am tired of hearing is obama will bring our troops home! He might in fact do that. However, it will not be to save lives, it will be to simply save money! If that happens then the trillions of dollars we are in debt for and the 10 bill a month we spend would have been for nothing! This war is not over, Americans are not safe and my Commerades deserve more than thier country trying to save a buck! I would trade every congressman and every buisness CEO that put our country in the sistiuation to China to have my friends back. And people in hell want ice water. I think that is is ridiculous that we go over to another country to "fight terrorism" , but no one will do anything about the arian nation, neo nazi movement, or the klu klux klan. They have demonstrated violence in the past and teaching hate. The Neo-nazi movement is a foreign army in training, and was an enemy of our country when it was active. I hope you don't make the mistake of voting for McCain, he intends to continue "fighting terrorism" in foreign lands, when we have enough of it right here. Our country needs a leader that will actually keep his word and help the middle and lower class. Improve those with little in their hands and they will give it " I mean spending" to those that need a profit. I can't understand why none of the politicians even understand basic economics. Giving money to financial institutions is a novel idea, but it is like hte pharmaceutical companies, treating the systems, not the cause. We need to focus on the cause of proverty, crime, and financial stability, that this country is seriously lacking. Improve the overall health of our union. Then decide foreign policy. Yes I do agree with helping others against tyrants and dictators, but if we aren't rebuilding ourselves in the process , what did we really gain? Last point: We have seen McCain come close to losing his temper during a debate, is that the quality we need in a president? We have heard of how Palin abused her political power, when in a position of authority. Is this the type of person we would want to rule the country , if the president were to expire? Who would try their best to help all people of the nation? Who came from a middle income family, so they understand our plights? Who understands persecution , not just because of skin color, but religious beliefs? Who can understand the civil liberties we are entitled to more. Do we need another "soldier" in the white house? Soldiers are trained one thing first " to follow orders and not break the chain of command" That is good in its' place, but not as our leader. We need someone willing to break with tradition and do what is right for the nation, not right for their own personal agendas. Let your morale compass point you in the right direction, not direct your every action. Honor with compassion, is tyrannical. Justice without understand, is self-destruction. America without freedom, true freedom. Not bound in shackles of dependence on foreign aid, not held in place by lack of self-sufficiency. True freedom to build this nation , not into a great country, but the country that drew every other nations' people to its' shores in absolute awe and humility. America forever.

I don't disagree with you I have family in the military on a second tour as well, I just think that we need to have a plan to end the current situation. Daddy, your not wrong! I am obviously naive, Here's the deal, We are trillions of dollars in debt as a country, I am not saying that I understand what you are and what you have experienced,because that is impossible unless I have been in your shoes. What I am saying is trickle down does not work, spreading you guys " our military" The backbone of our country thin, is not working. WE want you to come home! I believe that these countries can survive as you said on their own. We are spending 10 Billion dollars a month in Irag, Obama understands this. That's all I am Saying, You have to understand that everyone here is behind you and proud of you and that's what makes us Americans because of you! But you have to understand, Bush and his people have destroyed the financial structure of our country, not because of the war, but because of his greed to satisfy his people. Do the Math.

My son returned after 2 tours in IRAQ in USMC, He still believes that good is being evolved and spread in regular citezens there.

How many bases do we have scattered around the world? Do you think those bases are there becuase we brought our troops home? All of theme are strategic bases and set in place after a war! from korea to italy and even as far as Diego Garcia! Wake up man, it's not about being bitter, it's about being told we should come home because the general public thinks the president is wrong and so I'm wrong. And then for prospective president to use this fact to get elected and make promises they can not keep and will not keep. It bothers me! I should just vote republican, that why I know i will get a pay raise for my life is worth on the battle field!!!!

And I too am a proud American because of the home comings I have done, but, mostly because of all the deplyments I have done! I'm proud of the last 15 years I have served my country with loyalty! I'm proud because I am a Chief Petty Officer in the United States Navy. I'm proud of the Marines I have sailed with, and the ones I did not sail home with! I proud to have done my part, and proud I could assist those to do thier part! I'm proud of the Sailors and Marines (and all those who served) gave thier lives so you guys can vote today! You call me a racist and say you are proud becuase of a home coming!!!!!! You have no Idea whats really going on and don't you ever lable me as something I'm not! So, you can go be proud as you watch CNN and those people returning home! Go ahead and send another phone card and a bag of beef jerky to Iraq so you can feel proud!!!!
