I am an Ohio democrat that will be voting for the candidate with the strongest resume and most experience to lead our country. Sorry Barack you flunk both tests miserably. When people get into the voting booth they will be asking: Who is this Barack Obama? What has he done? I don't really know this guy. It's really not complicated at all the more I think about it ..... it's a slam dunk.

    Subject: 'O'Bomb Us

Jack Wheeler is a brilliant man who was the author of Reagan's strategy to break the back of the Soviet Union with the star wars race and expose their inner weakness. For years he wrote a weekly intelligence update that was extremely interesting and well structured and informed. He consults(ed) with several mega corporations on
global trends and the future, etc. I think he is in semi-retirement now. He is a true patriot with a no-nonsense approach to everything. He is also a somewhat well known mountain climber and adventurer.

Subject: Dr. Jack Wheeler Regarding Obama

    Written by Dr. Jack Wheeler

The O-man, Barack Hussein Obama, is an eloquently tailored empty suit. No resume, no accomplishments, no experience, no original ideas, no understanding of how the economy works, no understanding of how the world works, no balls, nothing
but abstract empty rhetoric devoid of real substance. He has no real identity. He is half-white, which he rejects. The rest of him is mostly Arab, which he hides but is disclosed by his non-African Arabic surname and his Arabic first and middle names
as a way to proclaim his Arabic parentage to people in Kenya . Only a small part of him is African Black from his Luo grandmother, which he pretends he is exclusively.

What he isn't, not a genetic drop of, is 'African-American,' the descendant of enslaved Africans brought to America chained in slave ships. He hasn't a single ancestor who was a slave. Instead, his Arab ancestors were slave owners.
Slave-trading was the main Arab business in East Africa for centuries until the British ended it.

Let that sink in: Obama is not the descendant of slaves, he is the descendant of slave owners. Thus he makes the perfect Liberal Messiah. It's something Hillary doesn't understand - how some complete neophyte came out of the blue
and stole the Dem nomination from her. Obama mania is beyond politics and reason. It is a true religious cult, whose adherents reject Christianity yet still believe in Original Sin, transferring it from the evil of being human to the evil of
    being white.

Thus Obama has become the white liberals' Christ, offering absolution from the Sin of Being White. There is no reason or logic behind it, no faults or flaws of his can diminish it, no arguments Hillary could make of any kind can be effective against it.
The absurdity of Hypocrisy Clothed In Human Flesh being their Savior is all the more cause for liberals to worship him:
Credo quia absurdum, I believe it because it is absurd. Thank heavens that the voting majority of Americans remain Christian and are in no desperate need of a phony savior.

His candidacy is ridiculous and should not be taken seriously by any thinking American. Pass this on to every thinking American you know!

Whoa! That's just about the craziest thing I've ever read. Truly scary how some people's minds work. Funny how Obama mania is a religious cult. What exactly is the evangelical religious right?

I am an Ohio registered democrat that will be voting for the candidate that has mass quantities of experience and a strong resume. Sorry Barack..... not you! I can't beleive he has gotten this far. When people are alone in that booth on Tuesday they are going to be saying " I don't even know this Obama guy, what has he done? He's not a businessman, he has 2 years in Ill. Senate and a couple years as US Senator (not including running for president). Very thin on experience... do I want Barack answering that phone at 3:00AM at the Whitehouse or John MCCain? This is a slam dunk answer America.

I live in Minnesota and we've had a republican governor for a long time, and last year alone there has been 13,846 abortions. The number of abortions for the country are astonishing; however, GW Bush has been president for eight years, which shows that abortion is a state issue and not a federal one so don't blame Obama. Yes, he is a Christian and Bush professes to be one, too. With this information, what's your reasoning now?

Before you vote, please go to www.therealmccain.com. What you will see is John McCain - in his own words, in his own voice. He will give you one reason after another NOT to vote for him. Please, be informed.

MackWheaton, Not sure what you meant by "true Republican", but I will say I have been very disappointed with the four years of President Bush. Frankly, I have been disappointed with our presidential selections all the way back to 1988. Four years of Bush I, eight years of Clinton, eight years of Bush II, and not a single, good, viable candidate offered in 2008. I guess this is what happens when "serving" as a representative of the people becomes an occupation rather than a calling. Benjamin Franklin said Democracy would survive until people figured out that they could vote themselves money. We have been there for a long time. Now it seems the best description of our form of democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for dinner.

And with that depressing thought, I think it is time to retire for the night.

    God Bless.

It's amazing how easily the weak minded are swayed by the fears and smears being pumped out by the Republican machine. One second they tell you to be afraid of Obama for going a Christian church for 20 yrs with the radical Rev. Wright, the next second they're saying he's not a Christian, he's a secret Muslim so you should be afraid of that. So what is it?! Is he a Muslim or a radical racist Christian? You need to all agree on the same lies because you might confuse some of the sheep out there.

So you tell me what is being hidden in the phote that they do not want the Americans to see? And hell yes I am very afraid for our country if Obama wins this election. It is not rumors from the Republicans it is actual facts that has been seen in the papers along with the pictures. All of America needs to wake up before another 911 happens.

Socialism? I love how you guys faithfully look to your party handbook for talking points of the day. Think for yourself for a change!. As a person with a brain and two degrees in economics, Obama's plan ain't socialism. Re- allocation of tax burden is a constant in our democracy amd for the past 28 years that burden has shifted further from the wealthiest to the middle class and the poor. That is economic feudalism friend, and the myth of trickle down economics is hilarious, it never trickles down , it always trickles away, largely overseas. Do some real research and you'll see that the redistribution of wealth over the past 30 years is the greatest in our country;s history, "Socialism" for the wealthy in your words.

    • Posted By: BSIG @ 11/01/2008 10:52:03 PM

Forgive me if I question your education, but my 5 year old just told me that "ain't ain't a word and I ain't allowed to say it". I guess you said you were a economics major and not a English major. In your economics classes, did they skip the Reagan years and how well the trickle down was proven to work. Maybe you should have went to a less liberal school.

      • Posted By: mackwheaton @ 11/01/2008 11:07:08 PM

Ain't is in fact a word, but keep counting on your 5 year old for advice, he/she is well on the way to being brighter than you. I used ain't to get down to your level, and judging from your statement that I "should have went " to a less liberal school, i guess I couldn't reach low enough. As for "Reagonomics" it was the start of a gluttonous redistribution of wealth in our country that has put us in this whole, but in the time of 18% interest rates and inflation that was the early 80's any "economic plan" was better than what was in place. I liked Reagan, as a president he was a true leader, with an ability to listen to others and suround himself with smart people. People who know their own strengths and weaknesses make the best leaders, which is why Obama will win on Tuesday,

I really would like a comment on the question about the Bush tax cuts please.

    • Posted By: BSIG @ 11/01/2008 10:57:33 PM

Since you are a economics major, could you annswer a question for me. Since Obama is going to let the Bush tax cuts lapse, shouldn't that be considered as a tax increase. I know Obama says that no one making under $250K (or it could be $200K, or Bidens150K or Richardsons $120K) will not have one penny of taxes increased. Is this a out and out lie or is this not considered a tax increase because it is just ending a tax cut. It seems to me that if everyones tax burden is increased, that would constitute a tax increase. Just something I have been wondering about.

  • Posted By: geronimo5 @ 10/29/2008 1:26:39 PM

Obama is the wrong answer for our country right now. He might be a viable choice in the future. His proposed fiscal policies highlight his economic ignorance and socialist bent.

Currently our economy is in a tailspin. It is in a tailsping because people are spending less money. Consumption represents more than 60% of our GDP. People with more disposable/discretionary income spend more. If you propose to tax away discretionary income from people who earn more then you are reducing consumption. More importantly you are reducing consumption from the largest pool of discretionary income. This will have a negative impact on economic growth.

Secondly, if you reduce the level of income of the highes wage earners make then you will reduce investment in our economy. Investment represents another portion of our GDP. It also represents another source of job growth in our economy. So, if you tax the (as some might say) rich, you place a double edged sword into the heart of our economy. We do not need this right now. We need growth.

Thirdly, as our economy is in a previously mentioned tailspin, people are hurting for money and looking to make ends meet. In these times, we need access to the cheapest goods available. Obama has iterated his intention to enact protectionist trade policies via the implementation of tariffs. What this means is the cheap goods we get from global trade will become more expensive. Moreover, we know that this is a bad model to follow as Hoover tried this tactic during the Great Depression and it did not benefit the country.

Obama has less executive experience than Sara Palin and many feel she isn't qualified to be Vice President. I submit that his proposed fiscal policy iterations alone painfully expose his economic naivete and, in my eyes, disqualify him from serious consideration for the office of President.

    • Posted By: hloveless @ 10/29/2008 1:34:52 PM

95% of us will get a tax break (re: more spending money) with the Obama tax break. 95%!!!! Sounds like a boost to the economy to me. Of course, there is a chance that if McCain does win, his tax policies will be sure the other 5% have enough money for their super yachts, and those folks will need somebody to swab the deck occasionally, so I guess it will kind od trickle down, eventually. It's OK if you like being trickled on by mop water!

      • Posted By: wakeupamericavoteformcCain @ 11/01/2008 11:23:18 PM

40% of the 95% that will be getting so called tax breaks under an Obama tax plan don't even pay taxes. Sounds like expanded welfare to me. Thats all we need is to give more Welfare.

experience in screwing up is no experience! that's what sarah palin has - bad and destructive experience and abusive executive experience!
it doesn't take years of doing certain things to have experience. an intelligent and open-minded person can learn something in a few weeks that many people may take a life-time.
btw, did bush have more experience than mccain back in 2000 when you republicans preferred him over mccain? did bush have any military credit over mccain? did bush serve the country more than mccain? this shows the kind of warped you neo-cons' judgement are! Stop telling the world your biased opinions!

  • Posted By: Redlabel @ 11/01/2008 11:07:49 PM

Holy cow! They must be serving some pretty powerful Kool-Aid at the Obama love-ins!

I'm not excited by either of these candidates. However, I am concerned about Mr. Obama's desire to intensify a battle between econokic classes through continued escalation of progressive taxes. Progressive income taxes are a staple of socialism as spoused by Karl Marx and Fredrick Engels in the Communist Manifesto. I know that Obama didn't start our progressive tax system, that was done by the 16th amendement to the US Constitution in 1913. However, the first major part to include a progressive income tax in their party platform was the Democrat Party in 1908. Just so you don't think me a mindless, unquestioning Republican, I will also tell you that history shows that it was a Republican-controlled Congress that offered the resolution that resulted in the 16th amendment (also in 1908). So you see the concept of taking money, through intimidation and coercion (read IRS) knows no specific party. However, continuing to make the progressive income tax even worse is certainly not good for our economy. Forget this silliness that "95% of Americans will see no increase in their taxes". Increased taxes on corporations that make our goods and provide our services will be passed on to consumers in the form of higher prices. This is basic economics! Bottomline is the government can't tax tax us out of a recession anymore than you or I can spend our way out of debt.

This is only one of many reasons I can't support Mr. Obama. Consequently, I will hold my nose and vote for Mr. McCain.

Sounds like you should really be voting for Ron Paul. Have a great night, this was fun. Nite all, and Obama in 08 for 8.

It makes me extremely sad to see this when it comes to politics. I am a Republican, but seeing comments made from both sides has angered me. We are all at fault for the way our country is being run. The reason that America is falling apart is because the country is basically split into two groups: Democrats and Republicans. We are one of the most hated countries in the world, and when we visit other countries, they already expect most of us to be rude. And the reason I say that we are all at fault is because while most of the heat goes to Bush, the Democrats are the majority party in the Senate. So please consider your rudeness to others who don't have the same belief system as you. We are all human beings who believe that the canidate we are cheering for will improve our country. We want a better future, but we don't achieve that by slandering each other.

  • Posted By: DefyObama @ 11/01/2008 9:18:02 PM

I just cannot understand for the life of my why anyone would vote for Barack Obama. At first I was very open-minded and even considered voting for him (I am an Independent voter). But come on people! There are so many questions unanswered. We have actual footage, actual documentation, words from Barack's own lips that confirm his radical ideas and associations and still you choose to turn the other cheek. I mean does anyone here even care about our Country? Forget parties at this point, forget skin color, think of what the founding fathers worked so hard for! Barack is so against everything the US stands for. He said in his own words he is a black nationalist and will never abandon it. He said in his own words that the founding fathers basicall did not write the constitution to HIS standards (not in those exact words but close enough). Now the 1st amendment is at peril as he stifles reports, some media and decides who he will or will not answer questions for. Are you kidding me with this? What in God's name is this guy going to be like when and if he ever gets in office? And now I see that Al-Queida is waiting for him to get in so they can laugh at America and humiliate us? People! Who is running our country? US or THEM? We cannot afford to take such a risk in making Barack Obama the leader of our country! He will have the nuclear bomb codes and all the other secrets as President and to tell you the truth, I am scared ***! He has a record a mile long of mysteries, secrets, etc. If this story was followed by the media for anyone else, people would have had this guy tarred and feathered. I am just NOT getting this hypnotic, subtle brainwash thing with this guy. The youth disrespect elders and they have no clue as to what real patriotism is because they never LIVED in that era. This country has become so disappointing that I could just go in a corner and cry. If Barack Obama wins this election, it will truly be a very, very sad and dark day for the United States and everything we've ever stood for. We have always been the "power country" and we're about to become stripped naked for all of the world to see and laugh. What a shame...

Need I say more.

The thought of Palin as a possible president is more terrorizing than any scenario in ths election. It has nothing to do wth sex, McCain could have selected any one of a number of qualified women to run as VP but he did not want anyone sho could challenge him intellectually and graduating 4th last at the Air Force Academy leaves few choices , so he chose a woman who wen to 4 or 5 colleges before graduaitng from one, a woman who is "WELL RED, NOT WELL READ". As the first major decision of his potential presidency, he made my decision for president even easier.

    • Posted By: BSIG @ 11/01/2008 10:37:56 PM

Even former Reagan chief of staff Ken Duberstein criticized Sen. John McCain for choosing Palin as his running mate. He said, "I think it has very much undermined the whole question of John McCain???s judgment. You know what most Americans I think realized is that you don???t offer a job, let alone the vice presidency, to a person after one job interview. Even at McDonald???s, you???re interviewed three times before you get a job." And in case ya missed it, Lawrence Eagleburger, secretary of state under President George H. W. Bush, said yesterday that Palin is not qualified. Palin is pathetic, and so is anyone who thinks she is remotely qualified. That just proves you are dumber than she is!!!

I am very troubled and concerned with this upcoming election. I am a Republican, but I do not always vote straight Republican, I vote for the person who will be BEST for the job. I had a son go to Iraq for a year. He has never once blamed President Bush for this war we have been in and I don't believe you are going to hear from many of our service men/women ever blame President Bush. I am very tired of people pointing their fingers at President Bush and blaming him for so much. But my main point here is that this election is not about President Bush and we all need to stop putting the blame on him and ALL Republicans. This upcoming election is between McCain and Obama. I am really hoping ALL Americans do go and vote but vote with an open mind and making the decision based on which canidate will be BEST as our President of the United States. Please reconsider voting straight Republican or Democrat. Think about do we want our country wide open for another attack or a safe country. Think about the canidate and wife that has too close of connections with Iran. Think about the picture that has been shown which one canidate didn't even put is hand on his heart during OUR NATIONAL ANTHEM. Think about a canidate being sworn in to office, will it be our bible or his? What about a sealed document that is showing one of the canidates having a toast with someone from another country that he is pretty tight with. And lets not just vote in a canidate just to make history because of the color of his skin. I really hate the voting system we have with the winners being announced by electoral votes. For instance one state will declare the winner of that state before most of our polls are even closed. So actually that means my vote isn't even being counted.?. I think all people of The United States that votes that their vote should be counted. In closing John McCain IS the right man to become our new President of the United States and I just hope once Tuesday comes everyone keeps thier minds open before casting their ballot and vote for the right canidate for the job.

Picture this: Barack Obama, hand on bible (something he does not believe in) and stating "I promise to defend the Constitution...." This is the document that he so blatantly defies. I will never get over the picture of him standing in front of Hillary Clinton with his hands folded in front of him while millions of people and Hillary saluted the American Flag. This picture speaks volumes and all of a sudden, half the world has gone blind. Most people are voting the RACE, not the MAN. President Bush may have not been the best president but I don't blame the whole Wall Street thing on him AT ALL. It was democrats and liberalism with the ideals of giving less priveleged people mortgages so that they could attain the American Dream. This is liberalism and what it's all about - give and give and give and spend taxpayer's money while you're being so liberal. President Bush kept us safe and to me that's everything. I don't blame him for all that is happening. The guy was in the wrong place at the wrong time. I am voting for John McCain because I believe in my heart that he truly loves our great country, the United States of America and will stand beside her and guide her thru the night with a light from above. Here's a few points to ponder:
      A quote from Abraham Lincoln:
"You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.
You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.
You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.
You cannot lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer down.
You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred.
You cannot build character and courage by taking away people's intitiative and independence.
You cannot help people permanently by doing for them, what they could and should do for themselves."

MominIllinois, you started out like you were going to offer an "objective" argument. Then, you use rationale based on rumor that had been refuted, a long time ago. Also, you had one eyebrow raised, and the other eye shut, as you failed to acknowledge all of the dubious connections of McCain. In fact, your support of McCain has nothing to do with McCain, only your admitted buy-in to the smear tactics to make you fear Obama! I know many in active military, and sorry, while they can't legally, publicly complain about Bush, they certainly do. But yeah, I know a Republic with rationale also. She claims Colin Powell is her hero in one breath, and in the next breath says she's voting for McCain for the safety of us Americans! You're right about not voting party lines for the sake of party lines. And you're right about looking at the individual candidates. I think you need to do some more homework. Don't forget to review Colin Powell's very intelligent endorsement of Obama....on the economy and on the national safety of Americans! And as I've admitted before....I HAVE done my homework....with both eyes open and both eyebrows raised.

mackwheaton, you could at least get McCain's school correct. He went to the US Naval Academy not the Air Force Academy. But I guess if you are willing to follow Obama chances are slim you understand the differences between the branches of our military service.

Mackwheaton, You could at least get the name of McCain's school correct. He went to the US Naval Academy, not the Air Force Academy. But, I suppose if you are willing to support Obama, chances are pretty slim that you understand the differences between the branches of our military service.

Unfortunately, republicans don't really care what might be better for them as far as taxes go. I have a republican friend who would definitely benifit from Obama's plan, but she says there are more important things than taxes. And I agree. But, she can't quite tell me what that more important thing is for her. It's kind of like she is just too proud to vote Democrat, because she somehow thinks less of them. I wish people could just put aside all of that foolishness and just look at what is best for our Country and the future for our children. I feel we are really at a crossroads right now and we have such an opportunity to do something great, but fear and stubborness make it hard for people to see the possibilities.

Your friend has self respect for herself and for her country. Why does everyone want free handouts from the goverment?

John McCain was a true hero and he proved this when nobody was looking. When nobody was judging him. This, in of itself, speaks for itself. The safety and preservatiion of our country is top priority before anything else in my opinion. Also, I have learned in life that there is nothing more than a man's word that speaks volumes about his character. John McCain is up front and truthful and I totally trust this country in his hands. Let's face it, even with Barack's "spread the wealth" tax plan, okay, so you get a check for $500 bucks a year. Where the hell is that going to get you? I mean really! What is that? So what if John McCain leaves things as is? We were doing okay until a few weeks ago when finally the subprime mortgages caught up with Wall Street (they started with Jimmy Carter/Bill Clinton and ended up in Nancy Pelosi & Co. hands). I can deal with taxes left as is. I know John McCain is not the best candidate here but he is a man of honor, and was, again I say it, when nobody was looking on. He is what this country stands for and will do it good and proud. I can rest easy for the next four years knowing he is there at the Whitehouse. Totally not the case if Obama gets in. My God, there will be more upheaval than ever and that is NOT what this country needs at this volatile and vulnerable time.
