Google: "McCain and Gordon Liddy" and also "McCain and Rashid Khalidi". Do your own research and make up your own mind if guilt by association applies to McCain the same way it does to "Obama and Ayers".

To jpepper--- your kind of preudice is the worst kind. while pretending to be open minded to list that most white americans have to have someone to hate. you sir are a closed minded racist closet biggot. you are no better than the white supremist trash arrested this week. you need to retool your thinking so you can move on and be a benifit to our great country.

Aren't you being a little tough on poor dopey pepper. He's doing the best he can with what he's got, just like the rest of the Obama noodleheads.

Man, you racist crack me up, why don't you whine, cry and slit your wrist some more, over having a black president, theres nothing more you can do besides, spread lies hate and fear. It's a new day dawning, wake up and smell the black coffee, I'll be laughing all the way to the polls.

The Election is not about race ,Its about what your values are. Obama is half black and half white so anyone that is voting for him because is so called (black) is crazy!!!!

It's good to see that my comment struck a nerve, Truth hurts don't it. When you throw a rock at a pack of dogs the one that yelps is the one that got hit, so if it don't apply to you then why spew all of your hate over this blog. Just food for thought

Is there a new talking point (actually just a useless repeat of an old talking point that hasn't worked yet)posted for all the Dems. Seems like they all are going back to the tactic of trying to connect McCain to Bush. Good luck with that this time. I think they are just worried because they see this slipping away. Don't be that upset, the polls were actually really this close the whole time, but the media thought they could convince the American people that Obama already won. The polls are only tightening now because these pollsters need to have credability in the future. I am sure there will be new talking points for you Dems posted after this tactic fails again. Keep checking, so that they can continue to tell you how to think and feel. Vote McCain/Palin.

P.S. i just saw the funniest thing ever on the news. Obama was actually trying to question McCain's patriotism. Give me a break.

Americans are not the idiots Republicans think they are. They have fooled enough Americans to steal 2 elections and have duped millions of wannabes into believing they can become wealthy or go to heaven if they vote Republican. I want the best and brightest because for the past 8 years we have had the worst and the stupidest. Since when is intellect a negative? We can't afford same and average, Anyone who has believed that "Obama is a Muslim" (if he were, would that preclude him from being president, or a Jew, or a Catholic, etc) , hangs around with terrorists-- face it if you choose to believe these falsities, you are just substituting for your more ominous prejudice-- racism rationalizing an "acceptable" excuse not to vote for the best candidate. We will look at this time in our history as the most important in the past 63 years. Please note, I am an independent and personally I believe both parties have made a living fooling the middle class into remaining fractured, a divided middle class protects both parties. If middle class working Americans ever decided to create their own third party, it would smother both existing parties. The middle class pays the vast majority of all taxes, it is the greatest demographic in the nation and it must remain divided polictically at all costs. Think about it . For this election, I vote for intelligence, but I continue to dream of a day when middle America wakes up and decides to seek representation for itself.

Defyobama: I'm a little worried about your mental condition. You sound a little off balance. How is it that liberals have ruined this country, when right wing republicans have been at the helm for 8 years? In my opinion the right wing republicans are the ones putting a divide down the middle of this country. Because anyone who is not just like them is the enemy. The hate that is spewed at McCain/Palin rallies is really what is frightening!

Of course McCain is Bush. He is surrounded by the same advisors, and has supported 90 per cent of his proposals in Congress. He knows nothing else. And by the way, the man who will "not raise taxes" plans to tax our health benefits. He plans to make it MORE expensive, not less to get medical care. And he voted against more benefits for our soldiers because "the country can't afford it." I guess they can afford to send them to die but not to care for them when they come home. Talk about a hypocrit. Just like Bush.

Can't wait for the next war on CNN. Missles flying, lots of bad guys dying, women and children crying and dying, then send in the troops and mop it up. More people dying, our troops standing on foreign soil showing the American Way, showing the McCain Way. I need this. I need this. Can't wait till tuesday.

I think not. I think I want peace in the world before war.

    Obama/Biden gets my vote

JGUN: You must be kidding. Who cares about your mountain climbing friends' opinion or writings on his alleged research into Obama's ancestry. The puritans came to found this nation to avoid religious persecution, and the founders wrote the constitution in order to ensure all people would be treated equally and fairly. Barack is an American. GET OVER your PREJUDICE!
And let this SINK IN: the ridiculous candidacy is that fanatic from Alaska! She is the scary one! Little education, little thought, little to say, little she can do, but read the cards the campaign wrote for her.

Poor Defyobama. You are surrounded by pictures by young men of color who resemble Obama. Is that because they all look alike to you? Now we see your real objection to this man. It is not ideology. It is unbearable to you that he is not white, male and protestant. I am old enough to remember the election of JFK. The same things happened because he was Irish and Catholic. We were told the Vatican would rule the country and it was plot. That he was too young and would not be capable. But he faced down the Soviets and stopped their aggression in South America forever. It is because of him we have no missles pointing at us from South America. He was smart, a leader and surrounded himself with the best. So will Obama. You live in fear, defyobama and it will destroy you. By the way, now you know how we all feel about Bush. For 8 years we've watched him truly destroy this country. Now watch someone repair it.

8 years ago I said that I would give George Bush a chance. I didn't vote for him but after he won I said that I would support him and give him a chance. This is what has happened. Unemployment is at all time highs, We are in a war that can't be won, middle class incomes have gone down approximately $2,000, health care is more unaffordable than ever and the oil companies are making record profits. Does anyone see a problem here? Time is Up!

    • Posted By: DefyObama @ 11/01/2008 10:03:39 PM

STOP COMPARING JOHN MCCAIN TO GEORGE BUSH. This is THE ONLY thing that the obama crew uses and thinks they can get away with. John McCain is NOT George Bush. Just because he happens to be a Republican doesn't make him like GEORGE BUSH. In fact, McCain is more democratic than he is republican. So stop that lame excuse. Dammit, I hate when people have no other recourse and use this lame scape goat!!!

    • Posted By: BSIG @ 11/01/2008 6:54:14 PM

First off, if you didn't vote you gave up your voice on any of this. Next, with record oil profits come record taxes being paid to the U.S. government. And lastly, the unemployment levels are currentlly below the lowest level of anytime while your great Bill Clinton was in office.

  • Posted By: Sanlass @ 11/01/2008 9:59:55 PM

Well, the Republicans and their right wing radical supporters have held sway for decades except for a short time when Clinton was president, and even then we had a Republican congress. And what do we have in DC? Corruption. lies and even McCain was nearly indicted for the Keating 5. There is no lock on morality. The real question is who cares about people...not business and big oil. And who can lead us? No McCain. We've had 8 years of divisive leadership and war. It's enough. There is nothing wrong with being liberal..it means open to new ideas and inclusiveness. Conservatism? Means going backward. Staying where we are. Who wants to stay where we are??? No, I am voting Obama. I could not tolerate 4 years of erratic, indecisive McCain or uninformed and arrogant Palin. Vote Obama/Biden. Two good, honest men.

  • Posted By: hopefulmom @ 11/01/2008 9:57:24 PM

Defyobama: I don't think our problem is give and give and give; it is more like take and take and take!!! Greed of the rich just wanting to get richer is the real reason the economy went down the tubes. Just look back at recent history: 8 years of Bush and we're stuck with a huge deficit and the world hating us. 8 years of Clinton and our economy is booming and we're basically in peace time. Bush kept us safe? Tell that to the thousand's of families who lost loved ones in Iraq! And I guess you somehow know what Obama believes in. That's the saddest thing of all. All these people who just believe some e-mail they were sent by some whack job. How do you explain so many upstanding republicans, like Colin Powell, who have endorsed Obama? I guess they are just un-Christian and un-American too? Or maybe just BLIND?

  • Posted By: mackwheaton @ 11/01/2008 9:54:59 PM

The typical American is middle class, works hard, obeys the law and does the right thing, and consistently gets screwed over by Washington. I'm tired of 8 years of tyrannical rule by a president and a party that has done nothing for us in 8 years (Democratic party had majority as of 2006 but not clear majority). I'm really tired of the people that treat us like idiots by saying that Obama is a Muslim, hangs out with terrorists, is a socialist, etc. The man is intelligent, he has enough of an ego to be a condfident leader, and most importantly, he knows what he does not know and will surround himself with the best and britghtest minds to get us out of the quagmire of Bush-- Debt, War, Economy, World Leadership, among Bush;s catastrophic failures. I want the best and brighest, not the usual and average. We need to be a better country and fast.

It will not matter much come Tuesday Democrat or Republican president
What you should be afraid of is today 51 to 49 hold Democratic Senate seats
235 to 199 hold Democratic House seats. And as of Tuesday those numbers will become higher.
I a small business owner saw the economy go to hell the days after those numbers became our reality.
Come Tuesday Hollywood will have moved to Washington and the premier will be shown in the big white house.

It's amazing how easily the weak minded are swayed by the fears and smears being pumped out by the Republican machine. One second they tell you to be afraid of Obama for going a Christian church for 20 yrs with the radical Rev. Wright, the next second they're saying he's not a Christian, he's a secret Muslim so you should be afraid of that. So what is it?! Is he a Muslim or a radical racist Christian? You need to all agree on the same lies because you might confuse some of the sheep out there.

Re: meetinthemiddle... Do you work for the McCain campaign? The Democrats are going to control the Government because the Republicans have brought this country to its knees. Economy in shambles. Retirement accounts wiped out. Millions losing their homes. Our president is a punch line instead of a leader. A war we can not win. Billions of dollars wasted. Gasoline at $4 a gallon. We can not even find Osama bin Laden. The only thing Bush accomplished was making Exxon Mobil and the rest of his Oil business friends RICH!!! Unfortunatly the founding fathers did not forsee the electorate electing such an inept. incompetant for our leader. If they would have forseen that, they would have scrapped the idea of checks and balances and mandated IQ test for presidential candidates. That would have protected all of us from the last 8 years.

    • Posted By: BSIG @ 11/01/2008 6:31:25 PM

UPDATE!!!! Bush is not running for office agian. You may need to update you DNC talking points, gas is no longer $4.00 a gallon (not that we should not drill start drilling imediately in this country). As far as the econmony, the whole thing was triggered by the policies put ion place by Clinton which forced banks to make home loans to people who were not qualified, or able to pay them. This is precisely why people are lossing thier homes also. Even when the Republicans tried to point out the illegal actions at Fanny and Freddy, the Democrats covered for these corrupted institutions because the Dems and there buddies running Fanny and Freddy where lining thier pockets. By the way, did you notice that gas prices never started to increase until the Dems took the majority in Congress.

      • Posted By: 100Fires @ 11/01/2008 9:42:35 PM

Clearly you do not know what you are talking about. First, gas prices fluctuate with the oil market. It has nothing to do with a slim majority of one party or another. However, Bush has given them huge tax breaks. Second, the Democrats did not force banks to do 100% financing stated income loans to people with less than perfect credit. The banks created those products after they were deregulated. Third, the Democrats created FHA loans in the 1930s to promote homeownership and then VA loans in 1944 to allow our veterans to buy a home with no money down. Both of them allow for lower credit scores and 3% or no money down. Both of them are what is keeping housing somewhat afloat right now. So before you start blaming someone, educate yourself. What else was created by the Dems? FDIC insurance. Anyone in favor of demonizing them for that? I didn't think so.

Amen !!! I think Obama is saying whatever it takes to get elected! If he gets elected, I just need to make sure my family and I are in good with God, because I don't know how the next 4 years are going to be. I'm afraid that he will bring home all the troups and we will get terriorized again by Iraq. For all the people that wants our troups home, believe me I would like them home too and I am for world peace but it's not going to happen. Our men and women are protecting us and they knew when they signed up for the military, they had a big chance of being sent to fight for their country. I would rather the wars be fought somewhere else besides on USA soil.

I just cannot understand for the life of my why anyone would vote for Barack Obama. At first I was very open-minded and even considered voting for him (I am an Independent voter). But come on people! There are so many questions unanswered. We have actual footage, actual documentation, words from Barack's own lips that confirm his radical ideas and associations and still you choose to turn the other cheek. I mean does anyone here even care about our Country? Forget parties at this point, forget skin color, think of what the founding fathers worked so hard for! Barack is so against everything the US stands for. He said in his own words he is a black nationalist and will never abandon it. He said in his own words that the founding fathers basicall did not write the constitution to HIS standards (not in those exact words but close enough). Now the 1st amendment is at peril as he stifles reports, some media and decides who he will or will not answer questions for. Are you kidding me with this? What in God's name is this guy going to be like when and if he ever gets in office? And now I see that Al-Queida is waiting for him to get in so they can laugh at America and humiliate us? People! Who is running our country? US or THEM? We cannot afford to take such a risk in making Barack Obama the leader of our country! He will have the nuclear bomb codes and all the other secrets as President and to tell you the truth, I am scared ***! He has a record a mile long of mysteries, secrets, etc. If this story was followed by the media for anyone else, people would have had this guy tarred and feathered. I am just NOT getting this hypnotic, subtle brainwash thing with this guy. The youth disrespect elders and they have no clue as to what real patriotism is because they never LIVED in that era. This country has become so disappointing that I could just go in a corner and cry. If Barack Obama wins this election, it will truly be a very, very sad and dark day for the United States and everything we've ever stood for. We have always been the "power country" and we're about to become stripped naked for all of the world to see and laugh. What a shame...
