ESIG: You haven't heard about Obama working with Republican Dick Lugar of Indiana to help control loose nukes?! And, Obama has nothing to do with ACORN's activities!? Quit drinking the McCain Kool-Aid!
And it's bi-partisan, and I believe you're talking about an aisle, not isle. Try the dictionary.

    What is Obama's middle name?

  • Posted By: Bahamian @ 11/01/2008 7:05:35 PM

I'm a Bahamian That has been following American Politics. Americans; please stop being Republicans and Demecratics. Look at the policies and decisions that got the World's Economy into this Financial Chaos and the people that supported them. It's mind Boggling that people don't understand that McCain is a Culprit of the situation that not only America is in, but the world. If McCain wins the White House Geeorge W. Bush Plane will continue the same way he continued his father plans. WAKE UP PEOPLE. HE THAT HAS AN EAR LET HIM HEAR.

Glad Bahamians do not have a vote. Or did ACORN take a plane full of works there to illegally register voters, on Obama's dime too.

Reading tese post, it seems that the DNC must have posted new talking points instruing these people to start tring to link McCain and Bush. I guess they are hoping that if they try it agian, nmaybe someone will buy it this time. But with the pollsters having no choice but to show the polls are truelly closser than they have been showing, the Dems need to try what ever they can to try to save this thing. The piollsters have to bring it closer, because they all want credabillity in the future. Them posting thier seriously faulted polls to try and influence the vote in this country has failed.

Having been raised in Indiana and living there for the first 61 years of my life, let me tell you, "Joe the Convenience Store Worker", perhaps Inmdiana might be the smart state and not fall prey to the "silver-tongued devil" Obama. I pray to God that Indiana shows the way and keeps him as far away from the White House as is possible. I don't trust him or any of his cheatin', conniving campaign.

  • Posted By: Nascarfan62 @ 11/01/2008 6:55:08 PM

Amen to your statement about McCain. If he were to win I'd be embarrassed to let people know I'm from AZ.

  • Posted By: joe the cstore worker @ 11/01/2008 6:52:18 PM

I have to say people in Indiana are not as smart as I hoped. Obama can win Indiana. I have talked to a lot of everyday people, well to do and not. I think we are all in the same boat. Tired of McSame, tired of his desperation and really tired of the fact he has no plan for the economy. We all know McSame is economy stupid, if you are voting for him DO YOURSELF A FAVOR STAY HOME ON ELECTION DAY!! From Joe the Convienence store worker!!!

People are losing their homes because they are losing their jobs. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that you need a job to pay for a house! Take a look at the latest unemployment figures and look at the number of Americans who have became unemployed this last year. We will not solve the mortgage crisis until we solve the unemployment crisis. We will not solve the unemployment crisis until we bring jobs back to this country and quit sending our companies oversees to hire cheap labor. The bottom line is that we have to create more good paying jobs if we are going to get this country back on track.

    • Posted By: BSIG @ 11/01/2008 6:48:58 PM

I agree we need more new jobs, but the way to get more jobs is not to increase the tax burden on the people who create jobs. And as far as keeping jobs in America, do you really think more jobs are going to stay or return here once Obama raise the tax burden on the companies that we need here. In case the DNC has not told you how to think on this issue, No they will not return or stay here because they will relocate to a country with lower taxes. Take off the blinders before Nov 4th

This election has been the 'sickest' one I have ever expreienced!! I don't understand how supposedly intelligent people are backing the democrat. Not only that the electoral college is so antiquated, it is pathetic. Elections are not the voice of the people, the only way that is fair is for each candidate to get the percentage of electoral votes in every state that they have earned. It is WRONG for a whole to state to carry one person with they 51% of the vote to 49%. They should get 51% and 49% of the electoral votes, NOT 100%. Wake up AMERICA !!!!!!!!! You are being had big time and when you wake up in 4 years and wonder what has happened to YOUR courntry, thank yourself for an ignorant vote for obama!!!!!

    • Posted By: W_Honks_BoBo @ 11/01/2008 6:45:48 PM

... like in 2000 when "W" lost the pop vote and we've been suffering ever since?

If the polls are wrong and GWG MC CAIN does win, this nations people will get what they justly needed . It will tell the world we are STUPID

    • Posted By: BSIG @ 11/01/2008 6:40:48 PM

Actually it would be show that our media is bias beyond belief. It will show that there is no real journalist in this country, and they think the American people to stupid to pick thier own president and the media thinks it is doing us a favor by telling us who we need to elect.

  • Posted By: AlanTuring @ 11/01/2008 6:24:51 PM

I don't know about any "courntry" but I do know the economic problems started when GB offset the delicate tax balance and sent states scrambling for funds that undoubtedly came from middle-class workers. This tax shift and its results are no surprise. The trickle down theory has never worked and supply-side economics has never worked. It is now obvious that when the middle is squashed so to are the wealthy. The blame lays on GB and the R congress for their rule by idealism rather than fact and figure. I have yet to see any company hire people because they received a tax cut! Companies hire when the demand increases and they need increased output. Most of the demand is centered on middle-class spending. Now take that to the bank! Obama is far smarter than McSame on this affair!

The polls are going to be wroing as in 1948. IN the Dewey-Triman race, the pollsters only called direct dial numbers and excluded party lines, etc. which wer stil a sizable % of the US and a lare majority of these people voted for Truman. This year they are ignoring cell phones and a large % of the under-30 crowd are not included in the polls, When their votes swnjg huge to Obama, the pollsters will have to return to their drawing boards for missing Obama's % by 4-5%. My guess is 390 electoral votes and 48% of the popular vote.

    • Posted By: BSIG @ 11/01/2008 6:19:33 PM

I agree that the polls are wrong this year. I have a feeling that Nov. 5th, there will be a picture of president McCain holding a newspaper reading "Obama Wins". That is the point where all the polls will be revealed for the frauds that they have been in this election. The main stream media has been showing seriously tainted polls, in ordered to convence the American people that it was hopeless to vote McCain and conveince the public that there was no choice but to pick the medias candidate (That is Obama, incase you could not guess).

    The electoral college is ok...

If we had a Rea-gun,we would win even in Mass...

Wow Nowforsomemore.... I though Republicans where suppose to be business people, we will have to throw you out of the party.

The way the mortgage packages were suppose to work was very small percentage of marginal risk, was added to a mostly high quality package. It allowed a small percentage of marginal loans to be written. The problem is people get commissions on loans, and they wrote increasingly risky loans (its not their money), and lied on applications to get paychecks.

The reason is wasn't caught is the Repulican platform of deregulalation - even during the Clinton years, the "R" controlled both houses. This is a problem with the economy started with Reagon, it affects everything from leg space on airline seats, to banking fee's, rising medical cost, and coal fired power plants.

Regulation has been seen as an intrusion in business, where it is actually a leveler. But this isn't the place for a long lesson in economics - its too bad congress doesn't seem to be either.

40YearR: You cant run away from Obama's own words, much as you try to avoid them, or Clintons.

Comment: Hear Obama and Clinton for yourself, in their own words wothout the filter of someone elses opinion..

    Bill Clinton says so. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XsynspIqAoE

Obama in this video, addressing his community activist work and his work representing ACORN in litigation against the banks and relating to the Community Reinvestment Act, and addressing the failure of Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae as those actions relate to the destruction of our economy by causing the current real estate and subsequent financial crisis, states that, and I quote:

"Subprime lending started out as a good idea, helping Americans buy homes who previously could not afford to. Financial institutions created new financial instruments that could securitize these loans, slice them into finer and finer risk categories, and spread them out among investors and around the country, as well as around the world. In theory, this should have allowed mortgage lending to be less risky, and more diversified."

Acknowledging the catastrophe, but as apologist for the Democrats, Obama then offers this justification.

"The original idea was a good one, which was, lets see if we can distribute risk more broadly, and make it easier to provide loans to people who otherwise might not be able to get one."

Yah, great idea. Economically unsound, but embraced by Obama. Listen for yourself. You cannot dispute the mans on words recorded live:

Who is most qualified for President?
The most qualified is the Governor.

They work with all the other State Governors, and can take the best ideas (from education, health care, etc.) from every state.

The next is a Senior Senator who has worked on a multitude of Senate Committees.

And the Least Qualified is a Junior Senator who has worked on very few Committees.
