There IS something inherently wrong with a political party that relies on, and caters to a "far right Christian base" when too many of these "far right Christians" are racists. I don't know what Bible they study, but it certainly isn't mine. My God of Love must weep. I wept when some of these people raised their hands and admitted on live TV they wouldn't vote for Obama because he is (1/2) African-American. My grade-school (1/2) African-American nephews are exposed to this? Shame on all of these people. Yet, they are in my prayers because they know not what they do...but should, since they are believers and have a higher calling.
I WISH I could say I voted for Obama solely because I know he will try for peace over war whenever possible in the world. I WISH I could say I voted for Obama solely because I know he will forever lift up all of those who have been oppressed in our America, Land of the Free.
No, in truth, I voted for Obama because, after months of research, I also know he will make a great, fair, intelligent leader on all of the issues that concern us. Obama has promised to be a President for the people and by the people. Think about it, Obama has more reasons than any other President to leave a legacy of greatness. McCain can never be that man when he caters to any segment of society who harbors hate towards their fellow Americans.
I think it is time to re-energize the "stop the hate" campaign. Is anyone here interested?
