People are tired of all the hate rhetoric that has become the mantra for the republican party. You right wingers keep it up it is helping us unpatriotic, unamerican, cowards and traitors immensely.

Apparently we are socialists as well. Don't forget that new flavor of the month......

I just wish someone could tell me why 95% of the media is not telling the truth about Obama's connections and his beliefs...
It is amazing how many people are following blindly with so many RED flags.. Where there's smoke there's fire and there is a lot of smoke around this person... He is friends with terroist and with the PLO not to mention his Pastor that he only broke from when it started hurting his polling numbers.. funny he was there for 20 plus years.... a leapord can not change his spots and he doesn't even want to....

    • Posted By: Rebel9668 @ 10/29/2008 2:19:07 PM

And let us conveniently forget McCain's associations with G. Gordon Liddy and with the Savings and Loan scandal. Can we say Keating Five? I'll bet we can if we try.

If people vote for BO because he is 'black' then MLKJ's dream still hasn't been realized.

Wow, now THAT is a nice spin. You probably don't BELIEVE what you just said or the scarier version...YOU DO.

  • Posted By: bayboo @ 10/26/2008 2:25:42 PM

i see only one issue in america it is that white people are really racist and even though it is by percentage the white middle class who are taking a beating on home morgage because black people already learned though learned behavior how to live poor the white's through perjudice will still vote for mcclain after 8 years of taking a beating from the republican party lead i say if you kick a dog and he don't move you can keep kicking him until he finnaly wil so if white people want to keep getting kicked in the you know what oh well they might as well give the republicans the grease so it want hurt so much because the republicans will keep kicking the white middle class becaus in order to help them they would have to help the black middle class and you knopw they dont want that and one more thing mrs palin keeps saying that barack voted over 90 times for is she saying that barack voted against 90 times is she sayin that while in office she never voted against a bill was always a yes mame for her party i dont get it

    • Posted By: granny74145 @ 10/29/2008 2:13:46 PM

Is this not reverse racism? I am white and an Obama supporter! Look at his rallies, lots of white faces there too. We have to overcome the race issue, the majority of people today, like Obama, are of a mixed race. It is ignorance that puts us where we are, not racism. That is why Obama is for better education!!!!

There are two clips at the site below of McCain the socialist.

dangstraight, you are obviously an UNEDUCATED redneck! Now go run along, and play your drinking game with the rest of your Joe six-pack buddies.

    • Posted By: dangstraight @ 10/29/2008 1:34:51 PM

You can give your educated And intelligent brain a break... it appears to be overheating with having to deal with all these abstract ideas instead of color relationships.

      • Posted By: GLO in TEXAS @ 10/29/2008 2:11:35 PM

Enter Your Comment What exactly do you mean by color relationships???????

      • Posted By: Rebel9668 @ 10/29/2008 2:01:23 PM

There is a difference between redneck and trash. People who espouse what Gretchen Wilson sing about in her Redneck Woman songs aren't rednecks, they're trash. Imagine being too dang lazy to take your christmas decorations down. Why doesn't she just set her appliances on the front porch too?

  • Posted By: jhaney29 @ 10/29/2008 2:10:41 PM

beckster2 that was purely a comical parody that was in no way offensive or racist. Get a life and a sense of humor!

  • Posted By: Wolfsinger @ 10/29/2008 2:09:40 PM

Obviously, you are very tuned in and a wit to boot fireavolly Not.
Source: Washington Monthly / ???The number of filibusters has been relatively steady since 1986 ??? until this year, when Republicans found themselves in the minority for the first time in a decade and decided to throw an unprecedented temper tantrum about it. If they keep things going at their current pace, they'll have conducted 153 filibusters by the end of 2008, compared to the previous record of 58.???
Its not like the Dems didn???t try:
Source: Politico.com / ???Politico analysis finds that this 110th Congress has had more roll call votes this year than any other Congress in history, almost doubling the number under the previous Congress overseen by Boehner and House Speaker Dennis Hastert (R-IL):
The House last week held its 943rd roll call vote of the year, breaking the previous record of 942 votes, a mark set in 1978. The vote was on a procedural motion related to a mortgage foreclosure bill. When the House adjourned on Oct. 4 for the long weekend, the chamber had reached 948 roll call votes, putting Democrats on pace to easily eclipse 1,000 votes on the House floor in 2007.
Last year, the Republican controlled House held 543 votes, and for historical comparison, the last time there was a shift in power in Congress, Republicans held 885 roll call votes in 1995. The Senate, which has held 363 votes this year, isn???t on pace to break any records, but has already surpassed the 2006 Senate mark of 279 votes.
Republicans. If their lips are moving???they???re lying.

  • Posted By: jhaney29 @ 10/29/2008 2:09:03 PM

beckster2 that was purely comical. I can't believe you'd report abuse! You need to report something more serious than a parody that is absolutely NOT racist.

The NY Times says that Mr. Obama has met challenge after challenge, growing as a leader and putting real flesh on his early promises of hope and change. He has shown a cool head and sound judgment. We believe he has the will and the ability to forge the broad political consensus that is essential to finding solutions to this nation???s problems.

In the same time, Senator John McCain of Arizona has retreated farther and farther to the fringe of American politics, running a campaign on partisan division, class warfare and even hints of racism. His policies and worldview are mired in the past. His choice of a running mate so evidently unfit for the office was a final act of opportunism and bad judgment that eclipsed the accomplishments of 26 years in Congress.

    Here are my thoughts:
Obama wants to give tax breaks to 95% of the US citizens. The other candidate calls the plan socialism because it does not help the 5% that make more than a quarter million dollars a year. Which side of that fence do YOU sit on?

Obama believes that lobbyists & special interests have strangle-hold on agenda, there should be more disclosure around earmarks, there should be a "Google for Government" to track government spending, that everybody deserves healthcare like members of Congress have, that we should make the minimum wage a living wage, that cutting benefits & raising retirement age are wrong answers for Social Security, that there should be no tax increase if earning under $250K; tax cuts for those under $75K, that we should never negotiate out of fear, and never fear to negotiate, that the President must abide by international human rights treaties, that we should strengthen NATO to face 21st-century threats, that there should be strong labor, safety, and environmental standards on trade, s that we should enforce environmental & labor provisions in trade agreements, that we should eliminate government programs that no longer work, we hold corporations responsible for pensions & work conditions, we should close tax loopholes for US companies relocating abroad, we should prevent money laundering by disclosing corporate owners, that the death penalty should be enforced fairly and with caution, we should not lower the drinking age from 21 to 18, we should invest in early childhood education and higher education, that teacher merit is pay ok if based on career instead of a single test....

No matter what color your state - unless you are in the millionaires club, what's not to like in the Obama platform???

    • Posted By: SCsmilesAlot @ 10/29/2008 12:30:28 PM

Are you getting your information from unbiased sources....I say not.

      • Posted By: hloveless @ 10/29/2008 2:05:45 PM

As a matter of fact (other than the quote from the NY Times) I am. I have gone to every fact checking information source I could find, both conservative and liberal. I don't put myself in either of those categories, but instead I went through all the lists of what each candidate believes (and has proven through voting records and public statements). I actually sat down and did a two column spreadsheet, then highlighted the areas that agreed with my philosophies. It was a landslide for Obama. What in this list (above) could and sensible, sensitive and educated American NOT agree with? Ignore all the commentaries, ignore all the political ads, ignore the polls, ignore the emails from your friend down the street - do your own research, make your own list. What do YOU REALLY believe in?

  • Posted By: max in fl @ 10/29/2008 1:59:06 PM

What is amazing is that Barack's position on taxes is a position once held by McCain (2000-2001). If anyone bothers to look, they will see for themselves. Barack is only carrying a torch put down by McCain. This is more evidence that the McCain once remembered is NOT the McCain running for office. All the values he ONCE held have been cast aside in order to win an election at ALL costs.

  • Posted By: wgoin @ 10/29/2008 1:59:03 PM

to willnotvoteObama: What a piece of tripe. You clearly are listening to McCain's lies and not paying attention to the facts. But, facts would cloud your mind, wouldn't they?

  • Posted By: richdzien @ 10/29/2008 1:32:31 PM

"Comment: Comment: You think this race is close?

Obama is supported by less then thirty percent of the voting public and ninety percent of the media elite. When all is said and done we will be sitting down to watch the networks belly up to a healthy helping of crow while listening to Democrats cry about how unfair it was that people would actually vote for God and country rather then to commit to pocketbook issues of the immoral minority.

    "

What country have you been in? less than thirty percent of the voters? you realize you are bing unrealistic and all the national and state polls do not agree with you. But I'm sure your pastor told you this and added. P"pray for McCain."

    • Posted By: hloveless @ 10/29/2008 1:57:59 PM

Less than 30%??!?! Where does that "fact" come from?

Where does Palin get off calling Obama a socialist when it is her that is redistributing the wealth in Alaska - this is taken from "The New Yorker" September 22, 2008 issue. She is proud to be considered a socialist.
    Per Sarah:
???We???re not just gonna concede to three big oil companies of this monopoly???Exxon, B.P., ConocoPhillips???and beg them to do this for Alaska,??? Palin told me last month in Juneau. ???We???re gonna say, ???O.K., this is so economic that we don???t have to incentivize you to build this. In fact, this has got to be a mutually beneficial partnership here as we build it. We???re gonna lay out Alaska???s must-haves. Parameters are gonna be set, rules are gonna be laid out, a law will encompass what it is that Alaska needs to protect our sovereignty, to insure it???s jobs first for Alaskans, and in-state use of gas??? ??????her list went on. In the past, she said, ???Alaska was conceding too much, and chipping away at our sovereignty. And Alaska???we???re set up, unlike other states in the union, where it???s collectively Alaskans own the resources. So we share in the wealth when the development of these resources occurs.??? And she said, ???Our state constitution???it lays it out for me, how I???m to conduct business with resource development here as the state C.E.O. It???s to maximize benefits for Alaskans, not an individual company, not some multinational somewhere, but for Alaskans.???

Alaska is sometimes described as America???s socialist state, because of its collective ownership of resources???an arrangement that allows permanent residents to collect a dividend on the state???s oil royalties. It has been Palin???s good fortune to govern the state at a time of record oil prices, which means record dividend checks: two thousand dollars for every Alaskan. And because high oil prices also mean staggering heating bills in such a cold place???and because it???s always good politics to give money to voters???Palin got the legislature this year to send an extra twelve hundred dollars to every Alaskan man, woman, and child.

    'Twas the night before elections

    And all through the town

    Tempers were flaring

    Emotions all up and down!

    I, in my bathrobe

With a cat in my lap

    Had cut off the TV

    Tired of political crap.

    When all of a sudden

    There arose such a noise

I peered out of my window

    Saw Obama and his boys

They had come for my wallet

    They wanted my pay

    To give to the others

Who had not worked a day!

    He snatched up my money

    And quick as a wink

    Jumped back on his bandwagon

As I gagged from the stink

    He then rallied his henchmen

    Who were pulling his cart

I could tell they were out

    To tear my country apart!

    ' On Fannie, on Freddie,

    On Biden and Ayers!

    On Acorn, On Pelosi'

    He screamed at the pairs!

They took off for his cause

And as he flew out of sight

I heard him laugh at the nation

Who wouldn't stand up and fight!

So I leave you to think

    On this one final note-

    IF YOU DONT WANT SOCIALISM

    GET OUT AND VOTE!!!!

  • Posted By: GLO in TEXAS @ 10/29/2008 1:48:49 PM

I consider myself a moderate Democrat and I am not voting for Obama. He is the most liberal member of Congress and Joe Biden is the 3rd most liberal. I am a moderate Democrat who has already voted for McCain-Palin.,

Obama is the one who will say anything to get elected. Who are you trying to fool. The man has no concrete platform. He keeps spouting "Change, Change, Change." Change what? He has nothing but tax and spend ideas. Raising taxes is a joke. You might as well shoot yourself and be done with it.
