I'm voting for the party- It's time for a new party to be in the office... We may vote for one person to say he's president...but it's the party as a whole...we need the change! You are going to tell me that Bush made all the terribe decisions over the last 8 years by himself, or that McCain would have picked Palin for his side kick if it were really up to him? OPEN YOUR EYES! Kennedy, Clinton, Obama, think about it! Besides which Palin needs to concentrate on her family not her so called career! by the way, I am a white women in her mid thirties married with children, I stay at home with my children, trying to budget our one income family. And we bought a house and can afford the payment, but because of the way things are in the 'bush' world, I can not afford to go back to work! My husband and I are college educated, responsible americans who want a new party in the office! Oh, and I would love to see McCain buy his health insurance with his 'health care tax cut' give me a break...have you ever tried to buy health care for your family when your husband is out of work? Shove it McCain!

Oh and I've come to realize that the bulk of the American people are ignorant. How can some of us even consider voting for McCain.....its just sad. Can you imagine what would happen to this country if McCain were to succumb to an illness (Uh yeah he's 72) and Palin becomes President???? She would be a figure head at best. She would be told what to do and when to do it. Sound familiar??.....Ahem...George W. Bush.

I happen to be an atheist, but from my thological studies, it seems to me, that Jesus would be shocked at what you "Christians" are saying here. I wonder, do you all actually know how to READ your bibles ?
    Good luck though. Really.

To never an easy life's comment about abortion: Not all life is sacred. There are times in history that we can all recollect an evil person and would in the end most agree that they should be killed - Hitler, Bin Laden, etc.

However, my question to you is what about the women's life? There are times when a woman having a baby can possibly kill her. Do you choose the women or the baby? There are too many greys and not the black and white stances you are oversimplifying.

I have children and would the majority of the time choose life. However, I'm Pro-Choice, not Pro-Abortion as many pro-Life people ignorantly call it. We live in America where freedom is one of the most sacred consitutions. You can choose whatever your religious beliefs dictate.

No matter what, the ability to choose needs to exist.

Our forefathers did not fight for this to become a Christian nation you bozo! They fled the persicution from the Church of England, a Christian church in fact, because of it's extreme and barbaric practices. Ever read of the reformation. And the Catholic church has throughout history been the most barbaric of institutions ever established. Bet you didn't even know the Bible was written by the Romans? It was written to try and merge Chrstianity and the worshipers of lesser dietys of the times. Never wonder why it's called the Roman Catholic Church?

Did you know he was a POW, and he still voted against the new GI bill. This bill helps our men and women who served our country when they come home. It offers a wealth of programs the help them get back on their feet after risking their lives for us- and McCain VOTED NO!

I will be glad when this election is over the the BUSH policies are out the door. If McCain is elected, then everyone should look forward to 4 more years of the same. It's funny to see some many critics on here...who attack Mr. Obama over and over.....many of whom are just racist. I am an Africian American who has voted Democrat since I became legal voting age. Race didn't have anything to do with my choices then and it sure as hell doesn't have anything to do with it now. The better candidate is Mr. Obama. He could be retarded and do a better job than BUSH just using a box of crayons and cardboard paper... C'mon people get with the program and keep religion out of this.

Who do all you intelligent people think owns big oil? Mostly current & fromer employees as well as many of the mutual funds where our 401 k's are invested. So who benefits if oil makes money? Many of us middle income people. Also where does this $250K per year define middle income? If you are in Arkansas you would be living like a wealthy person, but in much of the suburban areas of the country you might be able to afford to send your kid to college if you amde that brcause you wouldn't be eleigible for any federal assistance. If Obama wins today most of what I have pesonally have worked for the last 35 yrs will go down the drain. I bought and still live in a small home on a small lot, drive 10 yr old cars so that I have no debt. But, because my wife and I don't fall into Obama's false defenition of middle class I will be forced to support programs and people who have over extended themselves, not worked their way through college , put in 60 to 70 hr work weeks to establish a career and in my eyes don't deserve a handout or even a hand up.

Obama is trying to win votes by hook or crook and he and his shady friends are trying hard to get him in the WhiteHouse so they can take over the USA watch out what you vote for do you want to give up our great country and freedom? John McCain is a honest man and his age is not an issue. I myself am 71 and feel just as great as if I were 21...........Vote McCain Please

Enter Your CommentAre you sick or just stupid? McCain is a liar and I don't waste my votes on liars.

Good comment 8yearsoffear. It is amazing how stupid people can be. Some of the comments are almost beyond belief. Most McCain supporters are racists and few made it beyon high school - most cannot even spell correctly. Well they made good cannon fodder for the Bush/McCain regime. Now that the wars will be winding down, they will have to look for work in the private secter, perhaps as dish washers.

well Prof; Nice elitist comment about how uneducated all others are compared to your party. BTW couldn't help but notice your 8years buddy mentioned that mcCain voted for the "Irag" war. Nice public education he must have.

lStart practicing saying, "President Obama "and what about his campaign and those crowds.? Stop being nbegative. INtelligent people would open their hearts and minds to others. Ignorant people have closed minds like some of these comments. GO OBAMA!!!

You took your revelation from a pyramid email that is completely baseless and irrational. Remember when the world was supposed to end in the year 2000? There is always a revelation the Republicans will use for a historic election. Calling a civil servant the "anti-Christ" for political purposes is not just insulting to everything this country stands for, it is blasphemy to Christians both Republican and Democrat. Obama is a Christian, and you are chastising him as the devil. Shame on you.

  • Posted By: randyg71161 @ 11/04/2008 4:43:49 PM

Look at the crowd at any major sporting event. Most people stand quietly with their hands at their sides. I am a white middle aged man and I was taught in elementary school to put my hand over my heart when reciting the pledge of allegance, not the national anthem. Some of you republican, radical religious nutjobs are as bad as any middle eastern muslim nutjobs. Ever hear of the seperation of church and state? In fact, George Washington abhored organized religion and even quit attending church while President because of the extreme religious views of the church of the times. And Thomas Jefferson equally distrusted religious leaders. Belief in God does not mean you have to belong to an organized religion. I think all churches should be required to pay income taxes just like all other businesses. They take money from the poor and weak minded to enrich themselves, like Benny Hinn, the texas fat pastors, the Mormon church, etc.

People keep bringing up Obama's race. So what! Does the color of ones skin make a difference? It should not. BAck in the 50s and 60s it did, but havent we evolved as human beings to think with our minds instaed of bigortry and hate, just because of ones skin color. Come on America! Lets move ahead.

I've heard a lot of negative comments on socialism lately. Every time someone puts down a socialist institution they are saying our police officers and firefighters are not doing their jobs. I'm afraid to tell you that these are socialist ideas. Before they became socialist, the only way you got fire or police protection was if you could afford it. The rich realized that if the poor weren't protected, the rich were in danger. I think it's about time we realized that financial protection is just as important as physical protection.

When one political party calls their opponent a terrorist just to try to win,and then have people fall for it really shows how unintelligent people really are. This whole thing just makes me sick. Obama will win tonight and I thank God for that because our country truley needs him to help fix the mess that Bush and the other Republicams created.

    • Posted By: proud2barmy @ 11/04/2008 4:42:20 PM

The Republicans did not do this....Congress did....The Democrats have been in power almost two years and Congress has the power to hurt us, not the President.

  • Posted By: bishop2575 @ 11/04/2008 4:41:14 PM

Well if McCain is soooooo great....why did he not get into any details of his plans?? All I heard was that Obamas plans wont work. McCain is washed up and his choice of running mate was poor to say the least. That woman has her head so far up her somewhere....Obama has laid out his plans and they may not be perfect but he is at least willing to try something new. McCain seems to lean in favor of the past 8 years

  • Posted By: wlearls871 @ 11/04/2008 4:39:53 PM

It truley is sad when a pollitical agenda is to call your opponent a terrorist just to try to win an election and even worse is people fall for it. That really shows just how unintelligent people are. I have never seen an election like this and it just makes me sick. I am a registered Republican and always have been, but in this election I am proud to say I voted for Obama. Obama will win tonight and thank God for that because we are in such a mess. I know none of this can be fixed over night, but with Obama I could see in the future possitive progress being made to help mend our broken economy.

  • Posted By: tanithvosloo @ 11/04/2008 4:39:39 PM

I wonder how many of the comments on here are from people from the southern states. As for Obama being a terrorist, what a load to S%$^. I am White British and would vote for obama in a second if I could.

  • Posted By: pnet @ 11/04/2008 4:39:28 PM

Bravo Americantothebone! You stated it perfectly. What has happened to our country that we would vote for a President that has never served in our armed forces and only has 2 years of experience! Christians need to wake up and start fighting for what we know is right!
Military wife and proud supporter of John McCain!

  • Posted By: gunther1968 @ 11/04/2008 2:25:08 PM

I am ashamed of you! for trying to put words in our mouth by saying -we don't vote for him because he's black. So if black people don't vote for Mccain its because he's white ? Please don't label me or others because of the past ,this is the now , not the past .

    • Posted By: smarti29 @ 11/04/2008 4:39:21 PM

so what is the reason? He's more qualified, his running partner is way more qualified than his counterpart. So what is the reason? I have realized how either racist or ignorant people are that they would put the country in the hands of a woman who went to six colleges and who's moral background is in question. McCain graduated 894 out of 899, Obama was top 5 of his class, may have been valedictorian if not mistaken. These are normal credentials of our Presidents. When we went away from that with Bush, oh what happened? Yeah, our dollar has been run into the ground and our troops are fighting a war that is unconstitutional. That is because we elected a President not qualified for the position. So the credentials are obvious, the only other reason I can think that people won't vote for him...u guessed it..he's Black. Now switch the credentials, Obama wouldn't even be able to run for Superintendent let alone President if he went to six colleges. Give me a break clowns!!

  • Posted By: ASANCHEZ @ 11/04/2008 4:39:15 PM

How unfortunate that your on the obama bandwagon....biden is a moran at best/two facer. first he says that Mccain is best man not Obama for the job after he had dropped out of the running, since then no one has ever mentioned that again ...strange. And Obama seems to feel the need to do a way with the use of coal for energy right now at the expense of the consumer at double the cost!! Dont know about you, but I'm not looking forward to this at all!!

  • Posted By: Revelations @ 11/04/2008 4:38:34 PM

Yes. I noticed as well. It's very similar to the Dubya campaign. At those rallys, you had to sign a voucher, befor going in, stating your allegance to George Bush. Otherwise, no admitance.....And they're calling the Democrats "commys", "socialists". hmm is right. Glad someone here is thinking !!

PERSONALLY IT'S ALL A BUNCH OF HIPROCRITIC BS NO MATTER WHAT EITHER SIDE SAYS AS SOON AS ALL THIS IS OVER THE GAS PRICES ARE GOING TO RISE AND BOTH OBAMA AND MCCAIN ARE GOING TO HAVE AMNESIA. AS THEY SAY EVERYONE IS ENTITLED TO THEIR OWN OPINION
