The man is irrevocably corrupt and danngerous to his country, that is clear. Whehter the Pakistanis want to punish him and keep the game going or let him leave and start anew is their decision. We made plenty of mistakes with him and the result is that the country is becoming radicalized but that's for the next administration to fix -- unless the President messes up the way Bush did. Osama bin Laden is safe in Pakistant and that's our fault.

Well, it will be a good thing for Pakistan that Musharraf leaves the country and let the opposition have a go at it. With regards to Zardari and Sharif, they must now bear the burden of governing a nation with innumerable problems. The last thing that Pakistan needs is a power struggle between the two. Perhaps they can agree to a rotating Prime Ministership? Israel utilized a power sharing plan the 80's, with Shimon Peres becoming P.M. in 1984 and Yitzhak Shamir taking over in 1986.

The Pakistani leaders do not want to face the fate handed to them by Islamic laws by virtue of being Islamic state that their ancestors created and they defended and enforced while in power. They themselves have luxury of escaping to Saudi when facing the same laws they defended. It is a bloody joke.
