    Yeah the one thing they don't have in common is a respect for democracy. McBush wants to defy the will of the democratic government that our US soldiers died to install for his own and other right wing conservative financial intrests in the surge in Iraq. They voted that they want their country back and for us to withdraw, but fascist McBush and the McBushites must impose their will on this country that are American troops died to help the Iraqis gain their freedom. Now McBush wants to take that away. He is no better than Saddam Hussein.

    John F. Kennedy is a study in contradictions. On the one hand he was very close friends with Richard M. Nixon and agreed with him on many issues. Kennedy lowered taxes dramatically and created a booming economy later demolished by the skyrocketing tax increases from Lyndon Johnson. Economically JFK was the most conservative Democrat in the modern era. He is distinguished by being the only Democrat in history to create a economic climate favorable to business and the middle class and not rely on "class warfare", ie; "taxing the rich because they are robbing the poor" propaganda used by all his successors.

    You Democrat IDIOTS could RULE if you simply went Center. There is a majority in this country who are very liberal on social issues and concervative on economic and national security issues. I myself want low taxes, minimal government, strong national security but am very liberal on social issues as I'm for Pro Choice, have no problem with gays getting married, have no problem with legalizing drugs as that WAR is too expensive to fight and we can't win.

    The Radicals in the Democratic party will DOOM YOU TO FAILURE! Get Rid of Pelosi and Obama and look for those like Liberman and other conservative Democrats. Recent polls show 30% of Conservative Democrats are voting for Mc Cain. While I consider this a GOOD thing, in 2012 when you get ANOTHER chance throw the liberals UNDER the bus and run them over fifty times and nominate a guy who can win, who has a brain and good POLICY ideas!

    There are three general procedures of late-term abortions and partial birth abortions. The first and most popular is called D&E (Dilation and evacuation). Once the cervix is dilated, the fetus is removed by inserting forceps into the uterus. The Fetus is then separated into pieces. These ???pieces??? of your baby will be removed one at a time. Vacuum aspiration is then used to ensure no tissue remains in the uterus.

    The second procedure is early induction of labor. This is very painful and intense for the woman and is rarely used as an abortion procedure.

    The third procedure is called Intact D&X surgery. This procedure includes a 2-3 day process to gradually dilate the cervix using sticks of seaweed which absorb fluid and swell. Once this process is finished, the doctor uses forceps and grasps the baby???s leg to turn it to breech position. The baby is then pulled out of the birth canal, leaving the head inside the canal. An incision is then made at the base of the baby???s skull and the brain tissue is removed, causing the skull to collapse. The entire baby is then removed.

      If you are truly against abortions, as I am, and serious about decreasing the incidence of abortions rather than simply spouting off to show how morally superior you are, then you will vote Democratic. Republican policies ensure decreased health education, simplistic and failed planned parenthood policies, poor health care, continued poverty and the widening seperation between rich and poor - factors insuring the continuation of abortions, It would be great if preaching responsibility to teenagers were enough, but in our real world that hasn't worked. Let's work together to eliminate the social and economic causes of abortion.

      One other thing, until YOU write a $107,000 check to the US Treasury you won't know how it feels. You probably paid $3,000 in taxes because you aren't very successful. TOTALLY different when you have to start writing the big checks. Easy for you to say raise taxes on people like me but we already pay 2/3 of all the taxes. We pay YOUR fair share. What they should do is have first $30,000 tax exempt to help the poor and then EVERYBODY pays the same percent with NO DEDUCTIONS. Filing taxes would take 2 minutes vs the week it takes me now! I took every legal deduction and paid every penny I owed. If Obama rapes the rich I will be the first to do business off shore. The taxes collected will plummet as the rich look for tax havens. That's the REALITY of having high taxes. It is a voluntary tax system because there are SOOO many ways to get around it. I will stay pay some taxes but shift over 50% of my credit card charges to offshore accounts. Fair is fair and I will have my on personal justice one way or another. Voting Mc Cain is just the easiest way to have more fairness.

        Careerdaytrader you need more tax deductions...Under Sen. Obama's policies you can find one where if you take a college class and volunteer for 100 hours in one year you can have a $4,000.00 tax deduction!
        At $40.00of tax deduction/hour of volunteering you have to bet I am signing up for a class because I already do at least that in volunteer work! Also have lots and lots of kids because under McCain you can get $7K for every kid. I'm pushing the big 50 so I need to get busy in ghe baby dept.

    I salute Ret. Col Khajawall, MD & a disabled veteran! Even though we do not all agree on the war, his response is the only one on this blog that gives sincere, intelligent advice. I read most of them looking for discussion on the issues & the candidates, for president, but name-calling & swearing gets us all nowhere. We should all thank the Col. for his service to our country, which allows us this freedom to express our opinions.

If you cannot vote for Obama because of drug use during his youth how are you going to vote McCain when his second wife Cindy was on drugs and caught stealing it? Like you I do not condone drug use but we have to face up to the fact that 90% college students have tried weed even once in their lifetime, including GWB. Obama may not have snort the coke, it could have been a ???seasoned splif??? either way he turned out okay and is in a better position today than you and I in dealing with some of the flagrant problems that threaten society.

          Only fools rush in. Obama is a first class lawyer. He is not a slow thinker, he rationalizes before he speaks. It is better to think like a man of action and act like a man of thought. Unlike John McCain who talks out of turn, misspeaks then denies that he said what he said and at times cannot even remember what he said.

          To say all pot heads are slow thinkers is a sweeping statement and a bit disingenuous. I too know people who have smoked and still smoke weed and some of them are learned professors, brilliant doctors and very successful professionals in their field. Being a health conscious individual I do not smoke and have never had the urge to smoke, neither would I encourage anyone to pick up the habit of smoking. However many believe weed is less harmful to your health than nicotine. Some who smoke also believe it opens the mind and promotes wisdom. Whether this happens to be true or is a fallacy it was also the practice of Native American Indians to smoke the peace pipe. Indian hemp is another name for weed, so this habit has been around for a very long time.

          Again to say Obama policies are brain dead is absurd. Try to be objective and compare Obama policies with McCain and if you give both sufficient thought you will realize that Obama is on the right track whereas McCain is on a back track. I will give you one example to support this argument ??? look at the surge that McCain is obsessed with repeating its success. Should you withdraw these troops from Iraq tomorrow without a political agreement among the Shiites, Sunnis and other factions in Iraq, things would revert to what it was before the surge. For anything to be a success it has to be able to create the change intended and unfortunately the surge in itself in Iraq is inadequate in bringing about the change necessary. The key to Iraq at this time is a successful political process; the surge is putting a band-aid on a gaping wound. Given this fact how can you call the surge a success? You all need to wake up, start thinking and evaluate the yarn McCain and his cronies are trying to spin, which is along the same line of GWB and we all know what that has done over the past eight years. Do you want more of the same? I should think not!

    The Advocate released a transcript of a taped conversation between an actor posing as a white racist and wanting to make a donation, and a woman identified as Autumn Kersey, vice president of marketing for Planned Parenthood of Idaho.

    A: Great, because I really faced trouble with affirmative action, and I don't want my kids to be disadvantaged against black kids. I just had a baby; I want to put it in his name.
    PP: Yes, absolutely.
    A: And we don't, you know we just think, the less black kids out there the better.
    PP: (Laughs) Understandable, understandable.
    A: Right. I want to protect my son, so he can get into college.
    PP: All right. Excuse my hesitation, this is the first time I've had a donor call and make this kind of request, so I'm excited, and want to make sure I don't leave anything out.

    Lila Rose said the actor asked each PP branch contacted about lowering "the number of black people," and none expressed concern about the racist reason for the donation.
