      Thanks for the heads up!. . .I just put the news on. I think it was a smart move on Obamas part, even though the whole Washington change agent talk is kinda defunct.. But he needed someone strong on foreign policy and if he took the newer guys with less experience that would not have been smart. I say this and Im not voting democrat. Guess that means that McCain will be picking Mitt Romney as he has a proven record of working numbers in the business finanance arena (he will be the economy expert to get us out of this mess). If McCain doesnt choose Mitt Romney I will be surprised.

Not onlly can Romney effectively jump into helping McCain with this whole economy mess (his area of expertise), he looks good to have as a VP (very prestigious looking, will ease concerns with some people who are nervous about MCcains age should the VP need to step in.                 Well it wouldnt be the first time McCain to a chance on a belief even though it may not set well with others. Yeah, now that you state it that wya, you could be right. I have to read up more on Ridge. How is he at debating? Is he whimpy? Or would he stand up to Biden (truthfully now, cuz I do remember Biden as being tough . . . interesting point about getting some of Obama wormen on board with McCain in PA.     It is notable that Obama rarely mentions Osama. The failure to capture Osama is one of the great failures of the Bush administration. If Obama were to point out that Osama remains free then Obama could score some big political points. So it is notable that Osama is not brought up more frequently by Obama.

    OBAMA/BIDDEN; It is really interesting to see what the Republicans are saying. To paraphrase the official Republican response,... in their thinking Obama had some short falls in Foreign Policy and in experience in general that he now has addressed very well with his pick of Joe Bidden for VP. With that being what the Republicans are saying, I guess you would have to think they feel Obama now has everything pretty well covered. Hmm, interesting.

    Now it is McCain???s turn. A deal for Romney to follow McCain and likely to be his running mate was more than likely made when Romney dropped out. That would be consistent with how McCain got the backing this time around after agreeing to throw his total support behind Bush in 2004; that just seems to be the way they do things. Now, assuming it is Romney, it should be interesting how the McCain camp handles the obvious distaste they have displayed for each other.

    The Ayers, Rev. Wright, Retson (sp?), Muslim, no birth certificate and so on attacks are ridiculous and the equivalent of avoiding the issues and trying to excite emotional prejudices without having any real meaning. Of course the same applies to the Keating scandal, the marital cheating, the 71 years old, the cooperating with captors when a POW, how many houses and so on. Whenever those things are offered and attempted to be exploited, whoever is offering them should be seen as trying to mislead, as being devious and as trying to smokescreen the issues. Any time spent on that garbage, on the BS is time wasted and is keeping people from objectively evaluating the important issues, which, like with Swiftboat of 2004, can be exactly what the devious want!

        Interviews with challenging reporters has never been a problem for Barack and his speeches do include his positions on everything, you just have to be open in listening to them. No, the problem is with McCain needing such a relaxed environment so that when he looses his line of thought or makes one of his blunders, he can laugh and just say 'my friends' one more time. As far as 'garbage' is concerned, in case you haven't noticed, that is all the Republicans are using as they avoid the issues.

          You must not remember (for example) the debate with Stephanopolis shooting him questions that the people wanted to know more about (Rezko, Farrakhan connections for instance) that he had to deal with that caused him to get frustrated and annoyed; at which point he said when are we going to get to the policy discussion, etc., when in fact it was fair to get into his background experience as people what to learn more about his judgment, decisions he makes to have people like this in his life, and the character of this man). After that debate there were NO MORE debates (played it safe) until the Saddleback forum last week which he agreed to given the format it was to be presented - by a Reverend and not a drilling reporter. 3 months ago OB agreed to 10 town hall meetings with McCain and even said Great Idea. But since agreeing to this, he has not done 1 town hall meeting even though the hosts (like the military base in Texas) who were going to completely change the date and time to accomodate him and were irate when OB never even responded one way or another. . . this town hall went on with McCain and without OB . . .one of our largest military bases. OB continues to PLAY IT SAFE by only doing debates when he has to . . . which of course he will have to do after he is picked as the official nominee after the democratic convention.

    I am unable to support Sen. Obama for POTUS based on his opposition to the Born Alive Infants Protection Act. I will now support Sen. McCain for POTUS.

        People who have done research know the real deal on this issue. Obama has continually said that he kept blocking this bill in his state because it was lacking enough support of Roe v. Wade and that if it was written like the federal version that was passed in the US Senate he would have voted for the state version. The two bills have been obtained and compared side by side and they are written exactly the same. So there is physical evidence to discredit his reasoning as to why he did not vote that bill in in his state. He out and out lied. . . end of story.

                  Tiffs not here, but thanks for asking. It appeared his Leukemia dad gone into remission, but after his last chemo treatment, new cells showed up. Hoping it is a false positive. The Drs. said it sometimes happens after massive dosage. He gets rechecked on Monday. We are praying. The kid is only 10. He is one tough little boy.
