Obama's tax cuts are not tax cuts. They are refundable tax credits (payments made to people who pay no current income taxes). These are transfer payments (middle class welfare). No society in history has ever thrived by equalizing outcomes in the name of fairness. Our society is founded on equal opportunity. Some day, you the middle class may find yourself successful and wonder if your "tax credits" were worth it now that over 50% of your hard earned income is being confiscated in the name of "fairness".

Lets see...the Obama campaign having their media minions pushing stories like McCain heard Obama's answers during the Saddelback Church meeting (lie) and that he made up the stories about his Vietnam POW experience (also a lie) and that he wants to be in Iraq for 100 years (yep, another lie), combined with multiple news sources recently admitting publicly a bias toward covering Obama and peer reviewed articles talking about liberal bias in the media, and Alter has the gall to suggest that McCain is running a more dishonest campaign than Obama. His article is brazen-facedly absurd!

The people of this nation should be able to choose a candidate based on their ability to run this country, head the government, and generally conduct themselves in a mature, productive and responsible manner. The mistake is actually more serious than it may seem, because it suggests that McCain is oblivious to the core issues behind the sectarian violence. Iran is a Shiite nation. Al-Qaeda is a Sunni organization. The two Muslim groups have been warring against each other on the streets of Baghdad since the end of the invasion (and in fact, centuries before as well). Moreover, it was a mistake McCain had made a month before, and would make again in an interview with Hough Hewitt, as well as in a campaign statement comemorating the 5th anniversary of the invasion.
