I think its stunning to see how mccain supporters are glutons for lies. havent you been lied to enough?
I think its stunning to see how mccain supporters are glutons for lies. havent you been lied to enough?
Well...in our defense....if we didn't want to hear constant lies, we would have to turn off the News media.. Hussein is on 24/7, you know. I do agree, he should try and be truthful...at least on occasion.
NOBAMA!!!
Wow. Hell hath no fury like a Newsweek hack having a fit when someone dares question King Obama. Is the Newsweek staff being picked up in van by Obama operatives and driven to the polls en mass? RIP Newsweek. No one reads (or trusts) you anymore.
Wow. The "press" really has a fit when Obama is questioned, criticized, or taken to task for being what he is: An empty suit. Newsweek is a liberal rag with a diminishing subscribership. For some balance why not hire someone who just likes Obama, as opposed to the Newsweek-standard-issue hack who flat out loves him? RIP Newsweek. No one trust (or reads) your anymore.
Through independent thought, I would assume an independent would see what is currently taking place.
1. The World is saying "Yes We Can!"
2. The Bush Administration is "Changing" its policy on it's military strategy for which Barack Obama has been focusing on for the last few years, i.e. Get out of Iraq, focus on Afghanistan, retaliate against the moved Taliban/Al Quaeda in Pakistan
3. Focus on renewable resources for future production to ensure automotive companies adhere to more reliable less fuel dependent automobiles of the future, Creation of better job structure stronger infrastructure to ensure a stable economy.
4. Return of a Checks and Balance system to restore the Judicial, Executive and Legislative Branches back to what they were meant to be
Barack Obama knows what must be done. He has a vision that all past presidents have had.
puffpuffpass....."NO YOU CAN'T."....America says NOBAMA!! And as for Hussein having a vision that past presidents have had....WELL you are a little right...If you mean Mr. Peanut Carter, that is.
NOBAMA!!!
Well. Now we know who is the Official Judge of "Far, too far, and not far enough".
Thanks
Obama is an anachronism.
Well, now we know who is the Ultimate Judge of "Far and Too Far"
In a word ............BULL. Again the left MSM cheerleading and protecting BO. Don't you get it? If this guy can't handle John McCain and the repub's how in the hell can he handle Russian , Iran, and North Korea. This isn't childs play here. Never in the history of our country has a presidential candidate been so protected by the press.
Well, actually, candidates used to be MORE protected by the press. It used to be considered distasteful and showing a lack of integrity when candidates participated in mudslinging. Sure, it's always existed, but not to the extent of the past few decades. Anyway, does FDR ring a bell? No one knew that he was in a wheelchair--think the press wouldn't jump all over that these days?
But I digress. Simply telling the truth and stating the FACT that McCain has based his campaign on lies and Obama bashing isn't protecting Obama--it's just stating the facts.
Another whining Dimocrat. Poor timing when just yesterday Obama lied about McCain's believing that the threshold for being rich is $5 million. McCain said it with a laugh and that he knew it would be distorted. Obama knew this but, Obama is a liar. It's just like he did with the 100 years in Iraq quote.
Obama's biggest lie: "We need a president who sees government not as a tool to enrich well-connected friends and high-priced lobbyists, but as the defender of fairness and opportunity for every American," the candidate said in his June speech. "That's the kind of president I intend to be."
But his actions don't match his words. Away from the bright lights and high-minded rhetoric of the campaign trail, Democratic presidential hopeful Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., has quietly worked with corporate lobbyists to help pass breaks worth $12 million.
"It's an entire culture in Washington -- some of it legal, some of it not," the Democratic hopeful told a New York crowd in June, rallying support for his ethics reform agenda.
But last year, at the request of a hired representative for an Australian-owned chemical corporation Nufarm, Obama introduced nine separate bills exempting the company from import fees on a range of chemical ingredients it uses in the manufacture of pesticides and herbicides. Nufarm's U.S. subsidiary is based in Illinois.
While legal, Obama's bills on behalf of Nufarm and other companies are part of the special treatment machine Washington rolls out for special interests, say good-government watchdogs.
"If you have a company...there's a whole factory set up to help you get these suspensions," said Steve Ellis, president of the Washington, D.C.-based watchdog group Taxpayers for Common Sense. "It's a pay-to-play system you have to rev up and work." Hire the right lobbyist, pay the right fee, and you can save millions, he explained.
In Nufarm's case, Obama's staff met with a lawyer representing the company, Joel Junker, in person and on the phone several times, Junker told ABC News. Junker says he worked with Obama's staff to craft the nine bills and keep them moving forward.
In a glowing financial report issued just two months after Obama introduced Nufarm's numerous tariff-lifting bills, Nufarm told its shareholders it was making more money than ever before in North America because it had increased its prices on its U.S. and Canadian customers, predominantly farmers.
In particular, "price rises on phenoxy herbicides," a family which includes 2,4 D, "improved the profitability of those products, despite no significant increase in sales volumes."
Economics aside, some medical researchers also harbor concerns over 2,4 D. Studies have purported to find a link between high exposure to the chemical and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, a type of cancer. Defenders of the chemical say it is safe, and note that even scientists who believe a link exists cannot explain how the chemical may cause the cancer.
Only one other 2008 presidential hopeful has introduced more tariff suspension bills to benefit major corporations than Obama -- Longshot GOP candidate Sen. Sam Brownback, Kan. Sen. John McCain introduced none.
Remember when Obama and his supporters were doing the Obama stomp in Minneapolis. Just keep walking in our tracks and learn a few things, maybe you'll get the office back one day. GOP ruined everything from illegally redistricting, to ballot fraud, to going to an unwarranted war, to illegal lobbyists, to Valerie Plame, to botched army missions (Pat Tillman, innocent Iraquis), to proxy wars, to illegally firing of prosecutors, to saying STAY THE COURSE FOR YEARS AND YEARS AND YEARS, to now saying Barack is right and has been right all along. GOP supporters need to sit back relax, let Obama and the Democratic Congress fix what the GOP broke. OK? OK.
Now... exhale!
But do the-clinton and never admit you inhaled...OKAY? OK?
Any of youse that condemn Newsweek and the truth they sometimes present such as this article need to stop reading it. =)
Nope...gotta read it to keep up wuth the lies and thier jist. these lies will be coming out of the mouths of fools in the real world i live in shortly. like peopel who thought Dan Rather was a reputable reporter! hahahahah
As usual Alter has shown how clueless he is when it comes to journalistic integrity. I just wish he'd join the horde of Obama obsessionists and keep his journalists' mouth shut. This near hysteria for Obama coupled with the liberal left's tunnel vision of their causes while showing complete distain for any other causes has turned off so many moderate democrats that they probably will never consider voting democrat again. That the DNC, with it's machinations worthy of any republican hit machine, has thrown out the baby with the bathwater is not lost on thousands of middle of the road people..
Moderate Democrats are left standing in left field. Nobody wanted to disenfranchise new voters, but loyal moderate democrats were fair game
The two party system just isn't working any more. There is no reason to believe that Pelosi, Dean and Obama will give up the reins even if Obama loses.
We need to start a new centrist party, which would probably appeal to both moderate democrats and moderate republicans.
Coutn me as your second member, but it still doesn't help this election cycle.
Busby-You are right-These guys now realize that no one takes them seriously any more-The latest pass on Edwards really brings the MSM's agenda into perspective. Just focus on Hussein Obama-He is at best a radical- Truly shares the vision of Marx. He is not the sharpest knife in the drawer. His college days @ Occidental were unremarkable ,just as his record. I think the true Obama was seen @ Saddleback !!!
Unbelievable! Not bright? Seriously? The man was a professor at a major law school. He has written two books and is one of the best speakers to run for president in recent memory. I really didn't see a pass for Edwards either. Every major news outlet plugged it for days at nauseum.
You think its been negative? Strap yourselves in, because this is going to be a long, ugly campaign from both sides! From March to June, primary voters said hold on superdelegates, don't annoint Obama just yet. The superdelegates ignored voters in WV KY and PR who voted for Hillary by a 2 to 1 margin during the last three weeks of the primary season. Now the democrats have a presumptive nominee who is a brilliant orator and politician who talks of change, hope and unity, but he is a relative unknown on the national scene. Then we have the older, highly experienced candidate who has redefined himself as right wing. Both are terrible candidates for very different reasons. So what else do they have to campaign with? Mud, garbage, and whatever nasty, negative tactics.
Hillary isn't running anymore. I know you are bitter, but please WV, KY, and PR what a horrible representation of the American population. Just to refresh your memory Hillary was no saint during her campaigning.
I've accepted the fact Obama will be the presumtive nominee, and I am not the least bit bitter. From March forward blue collar workers, catholics, older votes, and latinos voted overwhelmingly for Hillary, and they are a wonderful representation of a large segment of the American population. My memory serves me perfectly well. Hillary held back with Obama, McCain is not. Obama was rushed to the nomination, so we have a weaker nominee. My point is the general election is going to get really nasty
We interrupt this program for a special message from President Obama. "My fellow Americans, I regret to inform you that today the Centers for Disease Control reported that the incidence of Clinging to Guns and Bible Syndrome has increased dramatically in the last 6 months. I am concerned not only about the dysfunction associated with this disorder but also about my chances for re-election if it reaches epidemic proportions. Despite billions of dollars spent on research, a cure has not been identified. At this time, my Secretary for Homeland Defense Barney Frank is recommending that we quarantine those individuals currently affected by CGBS. My Secretary of Transportation Mr. Kilpatrick will be in charge of organizing transport to the sites that have been set aside throughout the country. I ask for further patience as we try to eradicate CGBS. Thank you.
Be happy that Obama will let the Bush Tax Cuts expire and implement measures to correct the Social Security issue, address the working class tax system and give you a good night's sleep. McCain would be a nightmare for all of us, Dems and Repubs alike.
Idado Ed, telling the truth isn't cheering on Obama. But I wouldn't expect a republican to recognize truth.
Oh my. McCain smears. I am shocked. And Obama's folks enlighten us as to the truth that McCain "cheated" and "lied about cheating" at Camelback . And that McCain "plagarized" (made up) and "lied about plagarizing" his story about the "cross on the ground in Viet Nam." Please!
America already had one major military operation underway in Afghanistan when the Bush administration -- with McCain's full support -- recklessly poured most of our other military assets into the invasion of Iraq. Today most Army and Marine units are either deployed in Iraq or Afghanistan, preparing to deploy or recovering from deployment. The fact is that at the present time, we do not have the wherewithal to respond militarily to a crisis even if such a response were necessary or appropriate.
As a result, John McCain's strident statements following Russia's military actions only place into relief the reality that he has continuously supported Bush policies that make us weaker -- in spite of his tough talk.
foreign policy blunders are without question McCain's strong point of consistency
Obama has proven in terms of economics by refuting Clinton and McCain on their "gas tax" remedy which by the way was refuted by many such as professionals, republicans and democrats, Obama has suggested ways using energy to benefit as well as increase revenue for the country's out of hand economy based on trade negotiations, jobs' increases and keeping health care costs to a minimal but you haven't been listening. Lend your ear to his speeches instead of looking for holes. He has been correct all along on foreign policy. He said we took our eye off the ball on Afghanistan and should not have gone to war in Iraq since they had no reason to a) support Al Quaeda b) declare nuclear war for weapons they never had and c) crimes against humanity which should have been handled by the World Court which by the way is a good thing and we need to join and hopefully will.
If we never went to war with Iraq and stayed on mission in the "War on Terror" in Afghanistan then we would not be suffering economically as we are now. Obama made those statements when he voted against the war in the first place. If you would have listened then you would not be trying to figure him out and makle statements like you just did. Get a clue and man up on what's happening in the world. Stop cowering behind your old principles of being a cowboy or cowgirl. Cast your vote for McCain if you feel he is best for the job, which in my opinion he is not the man for the job. Barack Obama is the most capable man to sit in the Oval Office. He has wisdom and experience of reaching out not only to other coountries, but other generations as well. Vote, but make the right choice.
