    Bump!!

    Posted By: Cloudosmoke @ 08/20/2008 12:17:47 PM
Comment: These are McCain's words in 2002. For all of you that don't see through the mud that McCain slings, or all the lies that he has spewed, read it for yourself.

"I didn't decide to run for President to start a national crusade for the political reforms I believed in or to run campaign as if it was some grand act of patriotism.

I wanted to be President because it had become my ambition to become President.

I was 62 yold when I made the decision and I thought it was my one shot at the prize."

Again I say, McCain just wants the title, not the responsibilities.

Ask anyone from the hood if you can get a bump. See what he hands to you. LMAO

      • Posted By: TheVigil @ 08/20/2008 2:54:10 PM

Everyone knows what a "bump" means in the context of a discussion board - it means he/she would like the post to be higher on the board than it currently is. And my guess is that most of us know what a "bump" - a line of snortable drugs like cocaine or methamphetamine is - as well.

That meaning has no particular relevance to this discussion, but it seems entertaining yourself is more important than engaging in national debate here?

        • Posted By: SPORTLOCK09 @ 08/20/2008 3:19:34 PM

Okay, let's stay on politics. Where can I find your resources for the continued accusation that McCain agrees with Bush 95% of the time? Or do you advocate lies in benefit of Obama? Just replying the resource will be fine, no need to address a different question or point of view.
          Thanks

          • Posted By: TheVigil @ 08/20/2008 3:53:20 PM

Where did I say that or espouse that view? Go quote me a comment where I even *responded* to that particular assertion and I'll get you statistics about the number of elves Santa Claus has at the North Pole if you want them. I haven't said or advocated anything of the kind - are you reading poster names here?

            • Posted By: SPORTLOCK09 @ 08/20/2008 4:32:33 PM

Your silence could be considered advocating a blatant lie. You must be above correcting an Obama supporter I assume? No need for truth? Assume a bash on McCain is factual and try to debunk bashes on Obama? And you try to sell that your making an educated decision based off of facts with no clue or will to know what is factual when it comes to a bash on McCain?

              Gimmie an H, Gimmie a Y, Gimmie a P , Gimmie an O, Gimmie a C, Gimmie an R, Gimmie an I, Gimmie a T, Gimmie an E. What's that spell?

Bull SH.IT. There are hundreds of comments on these threads. "My silence could be considered advocating a blatant lie?" Does that mean every thread you haven't commented on has your tacit approval too? Even the pro-Obama ones?

Get FU.CKED!!!!!! I'm tired of you right-wing slanderers committing logical fallacies that would fail you out of every debate class in the country.

Aweeee he's upset and making up more lies. Debate along with business economics was actually course I excelled at. But it's hard to debate someone who's entire claims are completerly false. What am I supposed to say, Objection your honor, heresay?

Business economics debates? Too funny. Love your creative spelling, e.g. 'heresay."

Make it easy on yourself. Come up with 5% where McCain disagreed with Bush.

  • Posted By: chindognyc @ 08/21/2008 1:17:39 AM

McCain has a reputation as a politician who has difficulty keeping his pants zipped, according to Republican sources. He acknowledges that his adultery broke up his first marriage. His second wife Cindy, the daughter of a wealthy Budweiser beer distributor, was addicted to prescription narcotics and even stole hard drugs from a medical charity that she ran. McCain acknowledges that she didn't want him to run, and only agreed once he promised that she doesn't have to go to New Hampshire or Iowa.

A solicitation by former Christian Coalition leader Ralph Reed to attend an upcoming Aug. 18 fund-raiser in Georgia for expected Republican nominee John McCain may leave political observers scratching their heads.

Sure, politics makes for strange bedfellows, but not too long ago no one in Washington would have pictured McCain and Reed to be fighting on the same side???which appears now to be getting McCain elected president.

Reed was a high-profile figure in the investigation of former lobbyist Jack Abramoff. Although he was never charged with any wrong-doing, his ties to Abramoff???s lobbying schemes???unearthed in a series of high profile Senate Indian Affairs Committee hearings chaired by McCain???came at a political price. The relationship, and ensuing backlash against the Republican Party on corruption issues, is widely credited with costing him the 2006 Republican primary in Georgia???s gubernatorial race.

This is different from Bill Ayers.

    CHECK OUT ENTIRE STORY....NoQuarterUsa.net...............................

Is This a Money Laundering Scandal?

Is the Obama Campaign falsifying its FEC disclosure reports by using a front company to disguise its relationship with ACORN, a controversial group?

By Eastan McNeal on August 20, 2008

Less than one month after admitting that it had received over $30,000 in illegal contributions from Gaza it seems the Obama for America campaign is facing yet another damaging issue related to campaign finance. This time the infraction emerges from potentially shady expenditures or expenditure reporting. It is, however, highly unlikely that the campaign can write this disclosure pattern off as a ???technical glitch??? or a ???clerical error??? as the firms involved are much more than just casually linked, and the misrepresentations occur on eleven separate documents

    NOBAMA!!!

    • Posted By: chindognyc @ 08/21/2008 1:09:37 AM

Funny you would talk about a group ACORN, that helps low and middle class people. There is no proof to your lies. Even though ACORN uses aggresive tactics, they have been known to help the poor and not the rich. Get true facts. Must kill you to know that Obama helps the poor and not the rich.

We interrupt this program for a message from President McCain. "My fellow Americans this morning Georgia was attacked by Russia, one of my campaign members a former lobbyis for Georgia advised Georgia to pick a fight with Russia to bolster my Foreign Policy experience as a run for Potus and Russia accepted the challenge, because we have limited resources to do anything about this threat I will "talk" forcefully and with bluster and the Russians will pull out of Georgia right away. If they do not pull out their is not a damn thing we can do about it, this little episode is a political stunt to get me elected to the Potus and i wasn't expecting to start all this trouble.

Thats Exactly what he did and it has Worked the opposite of Ways....

The Bush Administration is Directly Negoiating the Conflict.

McCain talked Tough and Did Nothing.

McCain Tried to Psyche out America to say that "We are All Georgians" to no avail. Because Everybody Knows that Saashaskavilli is a Nut Case !!

This Conflct is Not a War.

McCain is an Even Greater Fake, along with his Georgian Lobbyist Friends as well as his E. European Oil Connection.

Yesterday when asked, should we Send Troops, John "Semi-Senile" Mccain Answered "No we should Not Send Troops, To Georgia"

All that Tough talk and that 3AM Call NonSense has come Crashing Down !!!!

Obama Looks the Wiser of the (2 Candidates) Hurricane McCain would've had us at the gates of Nuclear Disaster, all to make himself Look Presidential, oppose to being Presidential.

Evan Bayh said Sunday "We are Not Georgians" John gets Carried away, with his Rhetoric.

Weare Not going to DIE for that E. European Maniac and his People....No Way !!!

We'll Die for the State of (Georgia) within the USA, but not that Republic Of Georgia and that Maniac Saashaskavilli...No Way !!!

Are you a communist sympathizer or what? Read up on Russia's history and particularly that of that malevolent shrimp, Putin and, for God's sake, know what you are talking about before you open your mouth. This is pure Russian adverturism and it's how they've done it before.

        • Posted By: veefab @ 08/19/2008 10:44:19 AM

and your point is?...look Russia is doing exactly what we did except they have more rights to do it. If russia decided to setup missle facilities in Canada, Mexico and Cuba (which was already done and you saw what we did) then we would do the same thing. If Russia was making nice with all of our surrounding Countries we would'nt play nice either so your point is mute.

          • Posted By: busby @ 08/19/2008 11:06:11 AM

Georgia was not setting up nukes to point at Russia. Russia just wants to be Imperial Russia again. Georgia was economically viable before this and the president was duly elected just like you liberals scream that Hamas was. Omar has deemed the Georgian president a maniac. I stand corrected. He is a communist sympathizer AND a self-educated psychiatrist. And you better know what your point is before you attack my point.

Why would any self-respecting woman vote for J. Sid McBush? He consistently votes against women. His voting record shows he doesn't believe in equal pay for equal work.

He has no conception of the problems of working women who support their families and receive less money than their male countreparts for doing an equal job.

McHypocrite's only point of reference is Carly Fiorina, former head of Hewlett Packard who eliminated 15,000 American jobs and received millions in salary and compensation and his wife, Cindy, who inherited multi-millions of dollars from her father and his beer distributorship which she owns.

McBush has a terrible record on women's issues, yet he has the arrogance to stand up and face a audience of women and lie in their faces. But the worst part: he wasn't called out on it by any of those women.

    • Posted By: elizabethpaige @ 08/20/2008 11:05:30 PM

Strong women don't condone men calling women filthy names, McCain calls Cindy the c-word and she sticks around. She inherited 100 million and Michele Obama inherited brains.

Senator Obama's campaign expressed concern today regarding the rapid spread of Clinging to Guns and Bibles Syndrome. Senator Obama was quoted as saying: "if this disorder continues to spread, my chances of becoming Commander in Chief will suffer." David Axelrod, recommended that all Gideon Bibles be removed from hotel rooms and replaced with copies Plato's Symposium. The noted epidemiologist Revered Wright suspects that the CIA is somehow responsible for this epidemic. According to the Reverend: "The CIA has a long record of spreading communicable diseases in our population." The eminent theologian Father Pflagel suspects that CGBS is yet another sign that God is damning America. "I can't think of any other explanation" He added: "if Obama is not elected President, then watch out. God is really gonna be upset."

will the D's ever run an ad about mccain and the USS Forrestal tragedy. many unanswered questions there. why does mccain or the media go down memory lane about that incident of his career? there are many web sites about it. if it is on the web it must be true, right? what was mccains naval flying record anyway?

    • Posted By: Jurr @ 08/19/2008 12:40:05 PM

They won't, but if I was them, I would push for the full & uncondition release of Mc's full military records. One of his fellow POW's & a classmate at the Naval Academy said McCain got into so much trouble during his time at the Academy that everyone was suprised he actually graduated & that miracle was attributed to both his Dad & Grand Dad being Admirals. Interestingly enough McCain opted for retirement one week after his Admiral Dad died, sounds like he lost his free ride.

McCain lost 3 airplanes in training maneuvers, one during the Forrestal fire (which he was at the epicenter), and of course the one when he was shot down. Maybe he should have studied harder in school like Obama did.

      • Posted By: katvan @ 08/20/2008 10:32:43 PM

maybe barry should have served in the Armed Forces before he ran for Commander in Chief. he might have learned how to honor the flag and support our maimed and injured troops on foreign soil.

    • Posted By: News and Notes @ 08/19/2008 12:35:58 PM

Obama is probably better served attacking McCain's legislative and policy inconsistencies and movement towards the radical right. Attacking his service record and him as a public servant may back fire.

  • Posted By: stricp @ 08/19/2008 12:22:40 PM

I'm sure Newsweek, as re-payment for it's kid-gloves handling of Obama, will gain an exclusive interview with The One soon. A candid sit-down. A fireside chat, of sorts. An 'it's-just-you-and-me' type deal. The kind of thing Obama does so well in that it's all style and buzzwords and no substance. Nothing. Anyway, when the shills at Newsweek get Obama in a nice comfy chair, provide him with a nice cool drink, light his cigarette and get his feet propped up, I just want one question asked: Senator Obama? Have you ever, in your life, been wrong? Because up to now I've not seen him admit to being anything other than being picture perfect in his analysis and worldview. Keep slamming him, John! Do whatever it takes to keep this arrogant, unqualified clown out of office. He is the biggest threat to our nation since Carter. I just hope there's a Reagan around to clean up the mess if this fraud wins it.

    • Posted By: AskPlus @ 08/19/2008 12:34:29 PM

This is advice: Keep slamming him, John! Do whatever it takes to keep this arrogant, unqualified clown out of office.

Translated, this means: keep lying and do whatever you can, immoral or not, to hurt this man because even though you don't know him, he deserves harsh treatment. I hope you never have to make a real decision.

      • Posted By: stricp @ 08/19/2008 3:30:50 PM

The only 'real' decision that you need to concern yourself with this: Will I pull the lever for an ill-informed, inexperienced, blinded-by-ambition, Anti-American, radical liberal idiot or an American hero who has - according to your own liberal media circa-2000 - a well documented history of working with the opposition party? I know your answer: You'll vote for the idiot because you are enlightened and you want change, right? Even if that change is MORE partisanship in Washington (as BHO is the most partisan liberal to walk the earth). Is that the kind of 'change' we need? I'd argue that McCain is exactly what we need in that he's NOT a true conservative (although the media wants to have that way now) and he DOES have a record of collaboration with Democrats. I'd also argue that if McCain were 62 instead of 72 he'd be up by 25 points. Obama is a weak candidate and he'll make a weaker President. Let's hope the rest of the electorate is not as stupid as you are.

        • Posted By: AskPlus @ 08/19/2008 6:21:17 PM

Do you realize that you just wrote about 200 words and didn't say anything meaningful? You picked on people like a petulant child. You call names like the other voters. Don't forget, Mr. Obama does have the college educated and advanced degree votes.

          • Posted By: katvan @ 08/20/2008 10:30:15 PM

and what % of the population is that? And how many reside in Appalachia?

          • Posted By: stricp @ 08/20/2008 8:42:59 AM

            Seriously? That's all you got?

        • Posted By: elizabethpaige @ 08/20/2008 7:34:12 PM

McCain was available in 2000 and 2004. Now he's too old. It's painful to watch him stumbling and bumbling his way through prepared notes. Whatever the reason, he can't even read coherently.

    • Posted By: News and Notes @ 08/19/2008 12:32:25 PM

Actually Carter was a peacemaker, but he was a weak president. Obama would be better served if he did a FOX interview with O'Reilly like Hillary did. If I were Obama I would do every town hall meeting, debate, and interview humany possible, so the skeptics get to know me better. I'm surprised he hasn't taken that approach. It is time to put away the teleprompter

  • Posted By: summer4077 @ 08/19/2008 12:37:34 PM

Regardless of McCain's smear tactics, I still believe Obama will be our next president. The buzz on the street I have heard has mostly been positive for him--no matter the age, gender, or race that I have spoken with. However, I do live in a more urban, educated area, so that could be the difference. It seems that the more rural, uneducated areas tend to go for McCain. They generally tend to believe whatever they see on tv and have not been taught to question the validity of tv. TV never lies!

    • Posted By: News and Notes @ 08/19/2008 12:41:00 PM

Obama is about unity, but making divisive comments about rural voters is inconsistent with his message. Many of the voters you stereotype are Hillary democrats, who Obama needs if he is going to win the election.

      • Posted By: summer4077 @ 08/19/2008 2:19:12 PM

I just call it like I see it. In rural Ohio, particularly Southern Ohio, McCain is king. That's not to say ALL rural people will vote for him, but they lean towards him more strongly than Obama. Obama knows this.

        • Posted By: News and Notes @ 08/19/2008 3:28:06 PM

If Obama knows this it would be in his best interest to do everything possible to reach out to skeptical rural moderate democrats. I think the best way to convince them of his ability to deliver on his policy message would be to immerse himself in debates, town meetings, and interviews with tough journalists.

          • Posted By: katvan @ 08/20/2008 10:28:46 PM

Why? He gets no big press payoff and he can just call em bitter bowling alley babes too stuck to their Bibles and guns to pull the lever for a black man, I'm sure Bob Herbert's got a few columns waiting in the wings. He should go the way of both Revs.

John McCain & Ralph Reed: Ties That Bind

Before Ralph Reed became the #2 man to lobbyist Jack Abramoff he was the #2 man to Pat Robertson, founder of the conservative Christian Coalition. As I wrote in 2006,

Robertson and Reed created an image of Jesus that was pro-war and unconcerned with the poor and marginalized. Their work has been so influential that many Americans ??? and certainly many in the media ??? have come to believe that to be a real Christian you must be a conservative Republican.

Thankfully, that image is changing this year.

But why is John McCain still hanging out with Ralph Reed? Reed was very involved in the lobbying scandal that sent Abramoff off to jail. Why is John McCain using Ralph Reed to raise money? Shouldn't a presidential candidate have higher ethical standards?

  • Posted By: chindognyc @ 08/20/2008 9:53:54 PM

Boy ya'll Kool-Aide Kids.......aka obamamohammeds, declare ANY criticism of your messiah as slander. Why don't you say what you really think.... it is actually APOSTASY and HERESY of a messiah.......well here is a new moniker for Hussein.....BARRY THE BABY KILLER!!!

FYI......Yesterday Hussein's camp basically ADMITED, he has been lying (par for the course with Barry)... about his reason for voting against banning infanticide, in Illinois.....He had been saying it would have restricted Roe vs Wade. They finally admit it would not have. Now they are trying to spin it, but it will not work. The proof is in black and white. The identical bill cleared the U.S. Senate with NO dissenting votes. Even Boxer and Kennedy voted in favor of the bill. Hussein however, killed it in committee, after it received all he said was required to get his support. He voted PRESENT once, and NO twice. It is coming back to haunt him.

Hussein out and out supported killing newborns. No other way to say it.

I wish the MSM had the guts to ask this question..."At what time did YOUR daughters receive human rights, Senator" ???

He supports murder,of the innocents, in return for votes or money. As the hippies used to call our soldiers...BABY KILLER!!!

Hussein "Barry Soerto" Obama is no more than a BABY KILLER!!!

He is a Crook and a Fraud. And ya'll have fallen hook, line, and sinker...Idiots.

It is not any one issue with Hussein...it is a LONG LIST...support for infanticide, long term associations with the HATE AMERICA crowd, lack of experience, criminal activity, false birth certificates, voting record of Present and OOP's, support of radical Islam's Organizations, passport and citizenship questions, love limo riding with Larry, nasty wife, his silly little sissy personality, etc. etc.

He's not some old white guy who carries a gun and drinks beer every night and uses God to elevate his status as a human. Why don't you grow some brains and really look at McCain's record. It's a long sordid tale and one that even a closed minded bigot like yourself might find less than desirable. But I guess you yahoo's love war mongering adulterers who can't put a decent sentence together unless read from a prompter. McCain's a suit and a player and nothing more. Even his questionable military service, can we say daddy anyone, is used ad nauseum. So wake up rednecks. You'll be eating your red clay come November.

Sure....at least McCain has a record. Hussein's consists of being a community organizer and traveling to Pakistan with fellow mohammeds, during the peak of poppy season....apparently on an Indonesian passport for a Barry Soerto. Oh I left out....his excellent church attendance, and sex parties with Levine and Sinclair. Trendous achievments.

Senator McCain has been transparent and forthcoming, about his moral failings, in his first marriage. Hussein is not open about any of his deceit and contradictory life experiences. He is not who or what he is presented to be. He is a crook and a fraud. And a BABY KILLER.

                NOBAMA!!!

What McCain has admitted to isn't the problem. The problem is that he hasn't admitted to being hung up by his Vietnam demons. Instead of being in the Oval Office flexing muscles and showing the world that he knows how to 'win' wars he needs to get into a psychiatrist's office and be treated for the humiliation of being a war prisoner. McCain has a problematic temperament.

And one more thing. War kills the unborn also so I guess McCain is a BABY KILLER, too.

                • Posted By: pamp205 @ 08/19/2008 11:19:21 AM

Oh yeah, McCain is a prince among men. I just love how you holy rollers are one issue people. I guess to you an unborn life is more important than one lived. Our war man McCain could care less about how many innocents are killed in the name of war just as long as he can say "We Won". He cares less about life and more about war and the waging of it. Don't come with your pro-life crap because that's just a crock. Say what you really are and that's anti-abortion.

We need to keep commenting on his Marxist/Socialist agenda.
Redistribution of wealth as a matter of "fairness"
We all should feel some pain
US is evil as Russia (moral equivalence )

    • Posted By: HolyRoller @ 08/19/2008 10:37:28 AM

The liberal agenda can be condensed to this fact. They want to punish success, and reward lack of productivity and ambition...in order to buy votes. Which equals power and authority for the liberal leadership. It is a failed experiment, and America will not succumb to the fairy tale..

      NOBAMA!!!

What success are you talking about? Military? Economic? I guess not.

Lies, misinformation and innuendos win more campaigns than not. McCain is simply performing as any other Republican candidate has for the past several decades. Voters do not respond to the truth unless it corresponds to what they already believe. Despite the internet, more voters are less informed than ever before because they have been trained in campaign after campaign to react to slogans , slurs, photo ops, and distortion. The sad truth is that if something untrue is repeated loud enough, proud enough and often enough; it usually becomes true enough to most voters. The best liars for hire win more elections than they lose. Negative campaigns work. Voters say they don't like them, but they vote as if they do.

I sense a deep-seated fear in Jonathan Alter's psyche. The Messiah is being exposed. Obama's poll numbers are shrinking by the day. There is no denying it. This article accuses McCain of falsehoods but it will have no effect. The so-called falsehoods are consistent with Obama's persona and glimpses that the public has seen of his character.

    • Posted By: thehappyamerican @ 08/19/2008 11:55:17 PM

Alter is freaking out, urging BabystalkerObama to fight dirtier as justified by some contrived smear "gap" only Alter can see! The air is leaking out of Babystalkers tires! The news industry knows it! (they were given tire gauges!). And have expended more credibility than they are comfortable with trying to prop babystalker up.
The Clinton Americans Suck First campaign is outdated and falling apart! And becoming a type of toxic waist the DNC don't know how to dispose of! No matter how toxic!
The up-coming debates are going to be fun! We'll get to hear what alter has to say about that!

      • Posted By: raddave @ 08/20/2008 12:20:49 AM

        Baby stalker?

        • Posted By: thehappyamerican @ 08/20/2008 1:06:03 AM

He don't think he is because the babys (who die) are unborn, or not borne in a conventional way.Obama is not too concerned about human life, so he can make allowences! He had a chance to save them!
But he's very concerned about the rights of terrorists! Because the ACLU is.
But not the un-borne who ARE babies and actually US CITIZENS! And innocent of crime.
Obama is friends with Ayers...who wanted to bring the fighting and bloodshed in Nam here to the American streets and it was a major--expressed-- goal of the terrorist organization he was a key leader of.
Learn all you can about Obama! Use the web!

          • Posted By: raddave @ 08/20/2008 7:00:26 AM

The ACLU is not interested in rights for terrorists, they are interested in every US citizen's rights. And everyone in the U.S. is covered by U.S. laws and rights under these laws. There are only two ways to obtain U.S. citizen, by birth and by naturalization, not by conception. The 14th Ammendment specifies this.

BTW Obama served on the Woods Fund of Chicago with Bill Ayres, that doesn't exactly make them fishing buddies.

              • Posted By: dick kay @ 08/20/2008 8:11:47 AM

12 meetings plus dinners doesn't make Ayers "just a guy in the neighborhood" as barry lied in the ABC debate...have there been any more debates since? Townhalls? Laughable.

                • Posted By: elizabethpaige @ 08/20/2008 8:00:52 PM

William Ayers' days of protest are long gone Today he's a respected professor at Chicago University. No need for Sen. Obama to apologize for being acquainted with Ayers. Cut the crap.

                • Posted By: raddave @ 08/20/2008 10:26:00 AM

It doesn't make them best friends either.

                  • Posted By: raddave @ 08/20/2008 10:28:07 AM

And on the debates, the conventions haven't happened yet, so neither is the official nominee of their party. Have you ever heard of a presidential debate being held before a convention?

                    • Posted By: katvan @ 08/20/2008 4:12:08 PM

After barry's fine showing on ABC Dean/Kerry and the DNC said no more debates -- as in SC, IN, WV, KY, MT. SD and OR. McCain offered to do 10 townhalls...barry initially said ok to 5 and then in usual barry form agreed to the three debates that he basically couldn't get out of.

do guys in the neighborhood throw a coming out party for someone they aren't friends with? ayers & dorhn had the first campaign fundraiser for barry in their own home. that's one heckuva neighborhood guy.

mccain loves human life. unless of course they belong to soldiers or arabs

    • Posted By: raddave @ 08/19/2008 11:29:46 PM

Obama's numbers have not been shrinking and McCain has not been able to make up any ground, the number have stayed pretty consistant.

      • Posted By: cencarnacion @ 08/19/2008 11:49:10 PM

        Please read this link. http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/maps/obama_vs_mccain/?map=10

For the first time, based on state averages, the electoral map shows McCain winning the election by 10. Check out recent state polls and you will easily see the downward trend for Obama.

          read this link
          http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/election_20082/2008_presidential_election/daily_presidential_tracking_poll

shows Obama leading 210 to 165 for McCain with leaners 273 to 227 for Obama.

    • Posted By: raddave @ 08/20/2008 12:20:11 AM

Again, Obama's poll numbers are not shrinking, they are staying the same. The only people who call Obama the "messiah" are the right-wingers. Since you feel he is the "messiah" why would you oppose him?
