You've got to joking; McCain is clueless about the ecconomy and most everything else. It about time the press woke up to this guy; he's basically an idiot. He can't keep his facts straight and blunders daily and here you are trying to imply otherwise?? How about a report on his staffer/ Georgia lobbiest, Phil Gramm and all the other trusted advisor/slime artists?

A pox on McCain and Obama. They both stretch truth. But, after all, a judge in Oregon ruled that it was alright for politicians to lie which only recognizes the reality of campaigning.

How is this "distorting" McCain's remarks. It would be one thing if the quote had been from 4 years ago. Instead, it was from less than a year ago. McCain said, specifically, "I don't believe we're HEADED INTO a recession." So, even when we end up in a recession 6 months or a year later, his quote can absolutely be brought up later. We can say, "how weren't we HEADED INTO a recession when, here we are, IN a recession?"

Now, if he had said "We aren't in a recession now, but we might end up in one within a year" then he would have been on the mark and one could have said he understands the economy. For him to say "we're not headed into X" and then, months later, we're in X... just shows that he can't predict much further than his nose.

D'Angelo -- you are picking pepper out of horseshit. McCain said what he said, and your little nuances hardly water it down.

What's worse .. saying that McCain Flip flopped on the Economy or he doesn't understand the economy?
John McCain is still using the " bitter comment ." How long ago was that ? If you guys are going to FACTCHECK, you should get your facts straight.....Unless John McCain was kidding when he made that statement.
