Okay, this was even better than the original story. Keep them coming-oh, and how about a story on the idiocy of driving a Vespa wearing a mini-skirt, flip-flops (or Crocs) and no helmet, but with the invincibility of "Since it is not a real motorcycle I won't dump it or get hit." Steve Tuttle is great.

You've given me something to mock my friends with everything time they make fun of me for wearing nice shoes instead of those hideous plastic abomination to all feet for shoes. I hope there's a part 3 to your rant.
    I love you Steve!

Disclaimer: I wear Crocs, but only around the house or in my yard. They are butt-ugly shoes. I work in a hospital and see people (nurses and doctors) wearing them all the time. Honestly, if my doctor showed up wearing Crocs, I think I'd have to find another doctor. Anyone who took your article seriously needs to take a deep, calming breath and realize there are more important things to get worked up about in the world than ugly footwear. :) Thanks for making me laugh!

All this fuss over clogs makes me wonder if , when (the proverbial) "they" say that "people are stupid", "they" are giving people too much credit.

I think your wonderfull! As far as writing about far more important things....what about laughter. How could we live through all the rest of the crap with out it! Thanks for the laugh...while I was at work!

I agree that Crocs are probably the ugliest shoes I've ever owned; however, they are also some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. Arthritis in my feet and ankles make finding comfortable shoes a real problem, but I can wear these for long periods of time without them causing pain, unlike other "comfort" shoes I have tried. The knock-off Crocs aren't the same, though. The different material used makes them rub on your feet. In reference to the responses you received on your article - some of those people just need to get a sense of humor!

This was an excellent and interesting read for the day. I, personally, do not wear Crocs, nor will I ever. I had to go back and read your original article to see what the big fuss was about. That, my friend, was an even better read for the day. Yes, it was hilarious but at the expense of Croc lovers. But I think you made it clear that it was all in fun and you didn't take yourself seriously nor should people reading your article take you seriously. There are very serious issues that we face everyday and to escape just for a moment to laugh and breath again is a reward in itself. And thank you for reading through every last comment submission. You put it in perspective by recognizing one of your readers who lost their child. I think that we shouldn't take anything for granted because it may be gone the next day. I wouldn't be surprised when you write a story that your love Crocs once the fashion goes away. Good Work!

I have 5 pairs of crocs -- all in the original style. Navy blue, black, white, neon green and neon yellow. I love them because they are so comfortable and make my feet feel so good. I also think they are the MOST hideous shoe ever designed. I wear them around the house and garden, shopping on Saturdays, to the movies, to family gatherings, etc. I just wish that somehow a design could be made that retained all the comfort but got over the ugliness. More than anything, I wish people could stop making so much ado about nothing. Losers all!

The first article was amusing. But the sad commentary on the amount of response that it generated is that people care more about an attack on Crocks than they do about the daily attacks on the American worker, retirees and the intentional destruction of the middle class by both political parties.

I loved your first article. I think people took it way to seriously ( I mean why you would make a death threat about some ugly shoes). " To each his own" I suppose. I saw the high-heeled crocs and honestly people might as well just wear regular crocs cause the heeled one's look even worse. I'm glad there were some people who had sense not to be offended and realized not everyone love those comfy heresies of fashion.

Crocs are dorky but i wear them and love them. They are in close running for the ugliest shoes *ever* but so comfy and easy that it makes up for it. One of many problems in the world is how much stock we put in what other people think, when it comes to what I wear *especially* on my feet the only opinion that matters is mine. F**k ala mode!

People are complaining about an article about Croc shoes? Is it just me, or do others realize just how silly and stupid it is to get upset over an article. If you like the shoes, wear em. If not, don't. I would hope these people would do something much more constructive with their time than to criticize someone for their opinion. Guess when someone has no life, all they can do is complain.

This is just too funny. I was laughing out loud the whole time I was reading it, and I sent the article to some of my friends.

I hadn't read the first article because i typically read only "real" news (no offense), but I read both the article and some of the comments after seeing this one. I see there was also a lady who speculated that you were the guy in bars who called women *** for not sleeping with you. Not sure what that has to do with your taste in shoes, but she's entitled to her opinion. (What was it that you called them anyway?)

Judging from the negative comments I read, the timeof most of the people who wrote them would be better spent brushing up on spelling and grammar than on writing almost unintelligible rants about the most idiotic-looking footwear that has ever darkened the US fasion market.

I'll keep an eye out for your future articles (and the comments). I had no idea that people got so emotional about shoes.

I didn't read the first story. I just saw somebody was writing about how ugly crocs were and that was good enough for me.

Steve, I think your articles are always pretty clever. Our kids actually learn a little from our odd grown up opinions like how to laugh, form their own opinions, or just when not to repeat what we say. I am sure if you were out to report the news you would do that well too but I think I would much rather you keep doing what you do because it is smart and entertaining. That is great that you can let the horrible comments go and turn them into yet another great read.

I gotta admit, I wear Crocs and love'm, but people are open to there own opinion, and the fact that people can get pissed about something so UN f**kin' important is just stupid! This is like when everyone was freaking out about the 600 Starbucks locations, instead of things that really matter to us and our future! I personally think you're a funny guy, and you should totally continue writing articles, even though I love my Crocs, I love people who have there own opinion but the fact that you had SO many people reply to this with such anger is kind of...umm stupid? :D People need to be focusing on what REALLY matters in this world, then some silly pare of rubber shoes...even though they rock and there super bouncy! Anyway, that's enough of me, keep writing $hit and pissin' off the public! w00!
